No Webcam in Player 10.0.32.18?
Hi,
I noticed I can't see my webcam anymore when I publish an exe file. There comes no dialog and I can't see the webcam picture. I even can't click the Preferences menu in the context menu.
Any Ideas what that is?
TIA
sorry, don't know what it was now it works :-)

Adobe Flash Player Plugin crashes in ALL browsers while accessing webcam
Hi,
I am struggling to get my adobe flash player plug-in working while accessing webcam.
It simply crashes in all browsers. I googled this issue and realized many users are facing this issue.
However I did not get any solution to fix this. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling plug-in multiple times but of no use.
Following are specifications:
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (32 Bit) SP3
Browsers: Internet Explorer (8.0), Chrome (8.0), Mozilla Firefix (3.0)
Webcam: Dell monitor inbuilt webcam
Flash Player version: 10,1,102,64
Please note, the webcam is accessible through other applications (e.g. Yahoo! Messenger, Skype, Windows Explorer)
Also, Adobe Flash player doesn’t give any trouble while playing streaming videos on YouTube etc.
Trouble is only when flash player tries to access webcam through any browser (eg. while "Record from Webcam" on YouTube)
An interesting observation I like to note here, the device list that appears in the plug-in window is blank for both video/audio devices (See the area encircled RED in the image below)
Not sure, but just suspecting could this be potential reason for crash?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
StrugglerHello all,
My doubt was correct. It was all due to the blank device list. After lot of struggle I found this solution worked for me:
1. As soon as the plug-in tries to access webcam, it will show you "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
2. Click Deny then Close to close it
3. Now press tab key on keyboard. It will highlight (in yellow) and show list of devices in video device dropdown control (This could be little bit tricky and you need to put little bit more efforts to see the list). You can now select your webcam as device here.
4. Press Tab key again to go audio dropdown and select audio device.
5. Then right click and bring up "Adobe Flash Player Settings" again.
6. Under Microphone and Camera tabs, make sure we select same devices we selected in 3 & 4 above
7. Come back to privacy tab and this time chose "Allow" and then close "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
8. You should now see the camera images in the plug-in
Conclusion: This is a workaround worked for me. Plug-in is quite unstable and there is definitely something here Adobe Flash Player plug-in developers need to do about.
Hope this workaround helps many other users.
Thanks,
Struggler -

Mein aktuelles System:
Windows 7 Home 64bit
Internet Explorer 9 in 32bit
Firefox 10
Google Chrome 16
kaspersky 2012
Logitech HD webcam c910
Many Cam Software ...die neuste version
Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.55
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
VDSL 50.000 von der Telekom
8 gb arbeitsspeicher
Was ich bereits versuchte:
- Zugriffs Berechtigungen in der windows Registrierung überprüft..alles ok dort ..also wieder ohne Erfolg

Flash Player crashes when accessing my webcam
Hello,
I am using about 20 different HP Elitepad 900 G1 tablets (all 32 bit OSes). On each one, when signing into MegaMeeting and being prompted to access the webcam, IE stops responding. When I try the same thing in Firefox, it states that Flash Player has encountered an error and to reload the page, which it then promptly encounters the same error.
I have confirmed that I have the most up to date flash player, tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating my drivers and confirmed that on another Flash based site (Chatroulette) that the error occrus, as well as confirmed that the camera app (Windows 8.0) and Skype both function just fine with the web cam.
At this point, I am at a loss because beyond this, there are no problems utilizing flash for the meeting, just that they cannot join with voice/video and that is the point of the meetings.
Posted below are the DXDIAG files as well as the version of flash that I have installed, and I am just looking for some assistance in confirming what I can do to get this working.
Thank you all very much!

<media source CLSID>Finally found the issue, but unfortunately I am not sure if this will help in your particular case, since you are using a 3rd party software. You can however contact the developer with this information and hopefully they can send you a patch.
The default size of the Camera object in Flash is 160x120, but this resolution seems to be too low for the Intel driver. Additionally, if the Width property is smaller than the Height property (portrait mode), it seems to also cause the crash.
In our application, we simply resized the camera object to 640x400 and it solved our problem.
Before calling the Camera object, a simple line of code can be added:
Camera.setMode(640x400,15,true);
and it resolved the issue on the Dell Venue 8 Pro and Acer W4.
I hope this helps solving your problem! -
How to connect a video camera (not a webcam) in a way that Flash player sees it as webcam
Dear All,
I'm working on an interactive/augmented reality project for an exhibition, where viewers trigger a video by standing at a certain point in a room (just like BBC's Frozen Planet). My problem is that the webcam's image that we've used to capture the audience is not up to the task and produces a really low quality image. Now I'm trying to to attach a video camera with Blackmagic's Mini Recorder but Flash Player 17 (standalone) doesn't recognise the the input as a webcam. Is there a way to connect an external camera so flash can handle it? Alternatively, can anyone recommend a superb webcam, that is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Logitech's Pro 910? Thanks in advance! We just get a list of webcams from the browser (who gets them from the OS). If you could convince the OS that the camera is a webcam, you'd be good, but that probably means writing your own drivers.
Alternatively, could you use something like Flash Media Server with the camera attached as a live video source, then stream a high-res video back to the client for processing? -
Adobe Flash 10.1 web Player Crashes when Activating Webcam
Hi Everyone,
I installed 10.1 Adobe Flash Web Player for Firefox, IE, and Chrome. We have applications we use where it activates the webcam and the mic and now when I click accept the flash player always crashes. I have made all the changes asked of me from the support forum including uninstalling the flash player and reinstalling it. I also tried installing the 64bit flash player and using IE 64 bit on my laptop and it still crashes. It prompts you to allow flash to activate my mic and webcam and when I click accept it always crashes. This did not happen with the previous version of flash. I have looked for new drivers for my computer and there are none, I have tried so many times to fix this with no luck. Can anyone please help me as I did not have this issue until 10.1.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I also am running firefox 32bit and IE 64bit and none of them work. I have uninstalled the 10.1 flash player and reinstalled it with no luck. Please let me know what to do. I even did the firefox (-1) option to shut of the firefox flash protection they have. Please please please help this is very frustrating. Thanks!Hello there.
If you're having a problem with a specific plugin, you need to contact its author for support. If you have problems with all your plugins, then it's a different matter. Is that the case? -
Uninstalling Touchsmart--will webcam and dvd player still work?
I want to uninstall the touchsmart features on my 610 running Windows 7 Professional. I do not use touchsmart and the touch capability causes problems--for example, my screen can be messed up, I assume by staic electricit, if a piece of paper is moved near it.
My question is this: Will the webcam and dvd player still work after the touchsmart programs are removed.
Thanks to anyone who can help.Hi,
You can disable it using the following methods. Others will stay and work:

Flash player not working with webcam
Hello. When I try to use either my built-in iSight camera or an external Logitech camera, the Flash player settings window opens and then locks up. The only thing I can do is close the window out. I'm pretty certain this began with the most recent Flash player update. No error messages or crash reports (that I'm aware of). The same thing occurs whether I try it in Firefox, Opera or Safari.
Has anyone else had an issue like this?
I'm using an iMac 5k Retina (27") OS X Yosemite with 24GB memory, 3.5 Ghz Intel Core i5 processor and AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2048MB graphics.
Thanks.

Webcam problem with flash player
Hi,
I am using flash v10.3.181.26 on a win7 machine with IE9, and trying to make it work with a virtual webcam (a directshow filter in the video capture category). I notice that the available formats are enumerated (I420 352x288 , RGB32 352x288 ) by flash player by making calls to the getstreamcaps function. Then it tries to make a connection using RGB32 320x240 by making a call to setformat. The structure it passes to that function has an inconsistent field (bytesize). I checked this by calculation, as well as trying other apps. Can you please verify this..? I can provide more details if required.
PS.: Apologies In case this is not the correct forum to discuss this, please let me know
ThanksIn the GetStreamCaps function in my code, for the RGB32 format I had provided it the values filled in based on the default (RGB32 352x288). So, in the AM_MEDIA_TYPE structure, lSampleSize is 405504, and in BITMAPINFOHEADER, the biSizeImage is also the same. I also provided the min resolution as 320x240 and max as 352x288, with a granularity of 16x16.
so, it decides to take 320x240 as the resolution and calls my code with SetFormat. In there, I noticed that the BITMAPINFOHEADER's biSizeImage filled is as expected (320*240*32/8), but the lSampleSize of the AM_MEDIA_TYPE is still the same as before (405504). If I store this format now and later give it back in GetFormat, then the flashplayer seems to get messed up (enumerating the media types again, and then calling checkfmediatype with null, and then finally failing in the buffer allocation step while trying to connect). The failure in the buffer allocation pointed me to some possible problem in the bytecount.
If I correct the structure passed to me in the Setformat (i.e. I make both values as expected), then things go fine, the media type in checkmediatype is the same RGB32 320x240, and the buffer allocation succeeds, and the connection succeeds)... -
Macintosh: Flash Player does not recognize external webcam
Hi,
the Adobe Flashplayer does not recognize an external webcam on my iMac. When I open Settings and try to choose a camera, it offers:
DV Video
IIDC FirWire Video
USB Video Class Video
The last entry activates the built-in iSight camera, but not the Logitech Camera which is connected via USB. If I choose one of the other options, the picture freezes, but it does not activate the external Logitech cam.
The Computer recognizes the Logitech Cam alright, it works fine with other apps (Skype, iChat). Does anyone have an idea what can be the problem?
Webcam: Logitech Vision Pro USB für Mac, nagelneu
Computer: Intel Mac, OSX Tiger 10.4.?
Browser: Mozilla Firefox
Thanks for any help!I've been trying to work through similar problems, as have many other Mac users from what it looks like. Here's a quote from a post I found in Apple's forum:
My Logictech 9000 doesn't show up in the Flash video source dropdown for me either. Selecting USB camera just selects the iSight.
However, I did find a workaround: it seems to choose the first available usb webcam, which is typically the built-in iSight. If you have a mac mini with no built-in iSight, it uses the external camera by default. For my MacBook, I found the trick was to make the iSight busy by opening Photo Booth first, then opening the flash chat page. That causes the flash player to find and use the external USB webcam.
Note: your webcam probably has to support the new standard USB Video plug-and-play protocol for this to work, and perhaps only on Leopard.
Here's the link to the page where I found this post:

Hopefully this works for you if you haven't already found a solution - I see you posted back in April! I'm sorry that no one attempted to answer your question before now, including the Adobe people who staff these forums! -
Flash Player 11.5 breaking webcam on MacBook Pro 15 Retina
We're seeing the new flash player version 11.5.31.2 on MacBook Pro 15 Retina is breaking the user's webcam. The camera video aspect ratio is sqeazed and the audio it's sending to others is broken making robot like muffled sounds.
This is only happening with FP 11.5 running on MacBook Pro 15 Retina. It works fine in any other version of flash.
To simulate the problem, using a MacBookPro-15-Retina and FP11.5: Open a meetings.io room http://m1.io/ab25s6aKiWe and see if your webcam is working properly.
If you try this room on FP version 11.5 MacBook Pro 15 Retina you'll see your video being squashed and if someone else joins you they should be hearing your audio coming in very badly.
Try it on any other FP version and it should work fine.
Are the rest of you seeing this and is this happening on other systems?I have the same audio issue, robotic audio distortion on the receiving end when broadcasting from a Mac using flash 11.5.
The issue is not limited to one particular MacBook model, we've seen in in different MacBook models, only when using FP 11.5,
11.4 is fine
The same version of FP (11.5) does not give you any problems in Windows machines
Any idea when would this be fixed? -
Adobe flash player won't load my webcam
Regarding Lion OS X 10.7.1; I'm on a website that uses Adobe Flash player to use my webcam but it won't work.
I did some research and enabled Java (see screenshot) and even enabled 'applet plug-in and Web Start applications' and I don't even know what that means lol, but I did it anyway.
I've even downloaded the latest Adobe Flash Player (I think it installs automatically) and re-booted, but no good.
I've gone on YIM and the cam works, even on iChat and the webcam can be selected and works.
Any Apple Lion users have any solutions??
Thanks!
users??Hi,
Do you also have the Google Video/Voice plug-in ? (For Web Chatting with Video on the Google Web Mail or iGoogle pages)
This has been known to conflict with Flash.
