No widgets in Yosemite notification center

I can only view the weather in the notification center.  The only other widget that can be enabled is Social.  I had stocks, calendar, and the calculator all working with Public Beta 6.  Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

Same issue here. All widgets were there in all betas. But then I installed the Mac App Store version and all widgets disappeared except for Social.

  • How to change default weather in Yosemite Notification Center

    Hi,
I just moved from one city to another, but the default weather Notification in the new Center still shows my old city. I have been trying to change this by going to the dashboard and changing the city from there, but the changes are not reflected. I have not figured out how to perform this modification.
    Thanks!!

Hi robolivares, I had similar issue. This resolved it for me:
open Systeme Preferences on your Mac
    Security & Privacy tab
    Privacy tab
On the right hand side you can see which apps are allowed to access your location
uncheck and recheck the box next to the weather
You should now see your current location in the weather widget in your notifications.

  • How to make weather widget appear in Notification Center?

I've set up various apps for notification center.  I can now see notificatoins for emails, etc. that come in after my iphone is locked.  however, how or where do the weather and stock widgets show?  They are turned on, but not showing on the lock screen.  what am i missing?  I have a 3gs.

You will not see them on the lock screen. Only on the notification screen (swipe down from the top AFTER unlocking the phone).

  • Yosemite "Notification center" "not running"

Since installing Yosemite, the notification center icon remains in the upper right hand corner of the menu bar, but when clicked it never opens, and it is not running in the Activity monitor.
Is ther a way I can turn it on?

  • How can I remove the stock widget appearing in notification center

    Hi.
I dont want to have the stock widget appearing in the today view in notification center.
I have a Iphone 6 with the latest updates.
How do i remove it ????
This must be the most useless app or widget that is force installed.
And there is NO way to get ride of it..

    THX.
I thought that i checked everything, but not that.

  • Yosemite Notification Center prefs are not being saved

When I choose System Prefs/Notifications and move a program from the In Notification Center section to the Not In Notification Center section by unchecking that particular programs options, upon the next use of the program it returns to the In Notification Center list.
I've repaired Permissions, but it didn't help.
    Is there something I'm missing?

Here are the instructions I got from AppleCare from an Apple Engineer. I'm not sure if the fix was specifically for my machine or if it'll work for someone else. Follow at your own risk.
    1. Open the Library folder in your Home folder.
    2. In the Library folder, open the Application Support folder.
    3. Locate the folder named NotificationCenter. Drag this folder to the desktop.
    4. Next, open the Terminal application.
Copy and paste each line of these commands into the Terminal window, in order. Press return after each line:
    cd `getconf DARWIN_USER_DIR`
    rm -rf com.apple.notificationcenter
    killall usernoted; killall NotificationCenter
    5. Close the Terminal app.
    6. Restart your computer.
The notification preference changes won't stick until you restart a 2nd time after this.

When I swipe down the notification center, I can not find "tap to tweet" or "tap to post." How can I put it back?

    Hi there,
When I swipe down the notification center, I can not find "tap to tweet" or "tap to post." How can I put it back?
I can help you with that!
Go to Settings > Notifications > Share Widget and toggle Notification Center to ON.
If Notification Center is OFF in the Share Widget, then the Share Widget will be located under the sub-heading "Not In Notification Center."
If Notification Center is ON in the Share Widget, then the Share Widget will be located under the sub-heading "In Notification Center."

  • Problems dropbox in notification center

If the Dropbox widget in the notification center on my iPhone 6 tells me that a document has recently been changed, I cannot open this document from the notification center (it seems like starting to open the document, but then the home screen is shown). The only way to open the document seems to be using the Dropbox app itself. What is the problem?

Try turning off the widget, resetting your iPhone, and then turning the widget back on.
You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • Notification Center widgets are missing

I have a late 2010 iMac and a mid 2012 Macbook Air.  I have installed Yosemite on both, and while the iMac works like a charm, the Macbook Air is missing the notification center calendar, stocks, clock, calculator, reminders and weather widgets.  If I log in with a guest account, they show up, but not if I log in with my regular account.  Anyone else experienced this?  Any ideas?
    Thanks

I never understood why Apple didn't include these apps for the iPad. While I don't use the Stocks app on a regular basis, it is a quick interface to a small set of stocks. The Weather app is a quick glance into my local weather.
Now, if I want to use Notification center, weather and stocks will not show up like it does on my iPhone. Dear Apple, maybe it's time you help us iPad users!

  • Notification Sidebar Widgets in Yosemite Not There

Maybe I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'd like to add calculator, weather, and stocks to my sidebar notification center.  Using the new Yosemite OS.  iMac is Mid-2011.  I know how to add them, but I don't even see them to click the green plus sign.  Please see pic.  Apparently all I can add is 'social.'  Am I not seeing something? Thanks.

The above solutions for the Weather, World Clock, Stocks & Calculator are correct.
The above solution for the ShareKit.framework (Social Widget) is also correct.
To get the Calendar widget back online Goto to your Applications folder & right click on Calendar > select " Show Package Contents "
    then goto > Contents>Plugins>com.apple.iCal.CalendarNC.appex
Note!! the Widget Simulator must be running for this to work!! You can find the Widget Simulator in:
    Mac HD>System>Library>Frameworks>NotificationCenter.framework>Resources
Please make sure You have a full BACKUP before any changes are made!!

  • Cannot add/remove clocks in Notification Center's World Clock widget.

I was trying to reverse-engineer the somewhat cryptic white/black clock face in the new World Clock widget in Yosemite's Notification Center. (It turns out that is the clock face color is white when the time is in the range 06:00 to 18:00, and black when the time is 18:00 to 06:00.) While doing this, I added new time zones by adding new clocks. After adding the eigth clock, however, I lost the ability to add or remove clocks, so now I'm stuck at eight.
I looked around ~/Library/Preferences, but could only find com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist, which governs the placement of the widgets, not their actual configuration. Seems like a bug I'll have to live with for now.
Would love to hear about a way to patch this bug (configuration file somewhere), or work around it through other means.

Oif. I just discovered that the ⓘ icon in the upper right is actually a configuration icon, and not an information icon. You need to hit that to enable the add/remove buttons for changing the selection of cities.

  • Cannot click on anything in Notification Center, Today view. Running Yosemite, MacBook Air 13" '13.

After the Yosemite Beta 4 I was unable to use the Today view in Notification Center. Even after the update, nothing changed. And do not see anyway to add widgets, looks like nothing changed since that update Beta 4. Before upgrade to the official version I had the Beta 6. Everything else still looks the same. Keyboard is not responding at times like it used to be. Don't get what is wrong, and not sure if it even properly installed the original version of Yosemite.

Step 1: uninstall Avast  See how it is as that is a known culprit
Step 2: Chrome does not play well with OS X and is also sighted as a leading cause
Step 3: DropBox has been a processor or network hog though less so than the above two.

  • How to get widgets in OS X notification center?

I just downloaded Yosemite and am trying to set up my notification center. When I click the Edit button in the Today view, the only item available is Social. Where are all the widgets that are supposed to come preinstalled with Yosemite?

What I am saying is you have to go to Settings-> extensions -> ALL (activate or "tick" Today there)
and then go Settings-> extensions -> Today and click the things you want...
Sorry if you already did that and im just repeating myself...
But this is quite subtle and can be confusing. Just making sure you tried that.
