No Windows 10 update for V3-571G

Hello, Was eagerly waiting for Windows 10 update starting 29th July, but noticed Acer V3-571G is not included in the support list for drivers. Is there any chance this list will be updated later on?

i have acer v3-571g too and i'm waitng for update. for the first time windows can be updated for free, and Acer is causing trouble. i don't understand it I just found a way to update. try this http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

But MOST things download just fine.

I'm not a Mac person but I would try running without Speed Download plug-in.

I have another question. I installed the Palm Desktop Version 4.1.4 from the CD onto my computer running Windows Vista. Since I can't use the LifeDrive in Vista, how do you uninstall the software. I successfully uninstalled the LifeDrive Manager which deleted the Palm Desktop icon from my Start Menu, but when I click on another Palm Desktop icon (shortcut) that I saved in another folder, it opens the application. The Palm Desktop application is not listed in Start > Control Panel > click Uninstall a program under Programs > Palm is not listed in the Programs and Features window.
I tried to manually deleted the files by going to Start > Computer > HP (C > Program Files (x86) > right-click the palmOne folder > click Delete > Are you sure you want to move this folder to the Recycle Bin > click Yes > a small windows pops up titled Destination Folder Access Denied with the message You need to confirm this operation. > click Continue > Windows needs your permission to continue > click Continue > a small windows pops up titled Destination Folder Access Denied with the message You need to confirm this operation. > click Try Again > the same windows appears so click Try Again > and so on.

Issue in getting windows 10 update for Spartan

I want to download Microsoft new web browser Spartan. so for that I need to get windows update on my existing windows 10 machine.While getting the windows update it is giving me error saying “There were some problem installing updates”.
Please suggest me what should I do to get Spartan on my machine.

Hi Hari Mohan,
As David posted above, spartan is only available on Windows 10 build 10049 and 10061, you could check Windows Update and upgrade your current build, if you have no Spartan available.
Regarding Windows Update error, could you please have a share with the error details, or upload us the Windowsupdate.log file? Upload the log file into OneDrive and then post the shared links here.
For a quick fix, you may try Windows Update troubleshooter first, if this won't work, then please take use of Windows 10 build 10041 ISo file and then run the DISM command below:
First you need mount the ISO file. The X drive is the mounted drive.
DISM /Online
/Cleanup-Image
/RestoreHealth
/source:WIM:X:\sources\Install.wim:1
/LimitAccess

JenF was right. Actually Sony is still waiting for the updated drivers and software for Windows 10 operating System. Yes, it takes time since Sony needs to coordinate with certain vendors to validate the updates.

I downloaded the latest important update to windows vista yesterday, and since then Firefox crashes very soon after enetering the portal of any website I visit, and I want to know if the windows vista update could be doing this?

Yesterday (23rd March) my computer appeared to perform an auto update of windows vista and since then every time time use firefox it crashes shortly after entering a web portal (after about 1-5 seconds). It even crashes on the BBC news page which I always use to check stability. I have been using Firefox for years and it has just started doing this. However, I examined the programme files and actaully cannot see a windows vista update for yesterday, but I can see that there was a Firefox update, so now I'm a bit confused. Looking at the program files in more details it appears that there was a very major update of Firefox taking place including lots of file extensions. You should also know that your password recovery process doesn't work. I never got the email that is supposed to help me recover a lost password. I am really disappointed with Firefox doing this. It's costing me time and money. Can you help before I give up and go back to using Windows explorer (ugh!). I have thought of simply removing Firefox and starting again with a new download but that might not solve the probelm and I will lose my bookmarks.

I have an update to my message posted yesterday regarding Firefox crash after vista update. Today it got worse when Firefox wouldn't open at all and Windows explorer also stopped working. Curiously, email was still working, and when I checked another (little used) account on the same PC, I got a perfect connection with Firefox and Explorer. I had to conclude that the latest updates of Vista have interacted with some application only found in my main account on the PC. I tried opening Firefox in its safe mode and I tried opening explorer without Plug ins, but neither worked. Finally I decided the only answer was to do a system restore and wind back the windows software to where it was before the problem. I now have Firefox and explorer restored to working order, but I still don't understand why, because I got a message saying the system restore hasn't worked. Full Comprehension of the cause is beyond my capability, but through trial and error as described above I seem to have fixed it. The suspect vista updates are KB2505189 , and KB2524375.

Touchscreen is not working after windows 10 update on HP Stream x360

Hi I Have a problem with my HP stream x360 after doing the windows 10 update. Seems that there is no drivers for touchscreen in windows 10 yet, even a generic driver. I've checked the devices manager and found 6 Uknown devices with no drivers. I installed the HP support assitant but didn't found any driver. Windows update neither. Under the Human Interface devices group i cant see the touchscreen and in the settings app is also absent. I also checked the diagnostic tool in the BIOS but the touchscreen is working fine. Microsoft has all ready released an update to Windows Phone 8.1. Us Verizon customers don't even have WP 8.1. *** Verizon? My contract with Verizon is up in November this is the tipping point. I am not going to renew my contract. I will just buy the phone out right and sign up for Straight Talk. Then I don't need to have the "Nanny service provider (Verizon)" telling me when I am able to obtain a device update. Thanks for nothing Verizon.

On one side, I can understand that maybe (and that's a BIG maybe) Verizon wants to make sure they have enough data (pardon the pun) regarding the successful adaptation of the update for it's customers in order to make sure everything goes smoothly. However, I find that Verizon likes to keep customers in the dark regarding time frames. It's interesting to see on some of the similar titles message boards entries on this topic have Verizon monitors ready to wipe out entries if they violate terms of service on the forums. But, when asked directly about time frames for Windows updates, you either get a link to some Verizon news page (which is of no help), or nothing at all. A number of people called Verizon customer service and get varied answers like: "Sometime this summer", "Soon", or even an "I don't know, they don't even tell us either"...which is the answer I got one time. Very discouraging. I had a choice between the Windows Phone, or a Samsung Galaxy phone. I chose Windows because of it's features. Beginning to regret it now, since support for it on Verizon appears to be dismal at best.

I suspect if you're trying to open a file in 08 that's been opened in 09 the file has been updated to 09 and will not open in 08.

Helps if I give the correct link ! <br/>The press shift button appears to still work, but the option to start in safe mode from the programs listing of a standard install I do not think exists anymore.
Safe mode will start from a command line, (or a shortcut) and in some circumstances you may need to enter the full path name on a command or shortcut detailed instructions are at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
Remember (at least at this stage) do not make changes when you get the options list, just click on the continue button.
If you think that RealPlayer is causing the problem you could uninstall that for now.
Firefox recent versions are 3.6 4.0 (and 5.0 in beta). There is some debate as to whether creating new profiles or re-installing Firefox is the simplest method of troubleshooting and solving some of these problems, personally I use multiple profiles and multiple versions of Firefox, and tend to forget the required procedures are less than straightforward. For now at least try [[safe mode]] again.

Hi mcclausky, you may need to manually remove a policy setting from the registry. You also should scan for malware that might have created this problem.
