No wlan connection but connection shown

After opening Mac book the symbol shows "no internet connection" with '!', but when flipped down the list, the network is listed and has check hook that log in is fine. But nothing can be reached, no internet and no router log in side. After disconnect and reconnect the log in is fine and all works.
Was with Mountain lion and with Mavericks the same behaviour.
Lease renewed, or this network canceld and new setup again made already. No change.

Well, if it would be the network then all devices using that network would have the same problem. The router accepts all devices, no restriction. The password is not misspelled. So, where is the error? I have no idea where in the network a problem could be. (Working Hardware: in the network TV, iPad, iPhone 3Gs,4,4s, iPod touch, MacBook Pro, MediaStation )

This can provide clues as to a fragmentation issue in the network. Consumer routers are particularly poor at packet fragmentation and reassembly.
Try a scaling set of pings to see if it fails at a certain size. For example, ping -l 500, ping -l 1000, ping -l 1500, ping -l 2000.
It is recommended that you configure a special group for users that experience fragmentation, and set the svc mtu for this group to 1200. This allows you to remediate users who experience this issue but not impact the broader user base.

E63 Wlan not connected - but connected??

Hello,
I just updated my E63 to the newest software version (200.21.012 ) and im experiencing issues with the WLAN...
When i connect first time to a WLAN access point, it doesnt work, but then after disconnecting, the icon is still there. Under the connection manager list, there is no active connection, but i cannot use any internet based applications because it says i am already connected. Any help?

Another program is still using the connection. Like Facebook, Nokia Messaging, Mail for Exchange, etc........ Press the home button for a few seconds to see whitch apps are active.

Not connected, but connected.

iPhoto '11 is telling me that "your computer is not connected to the Internet", when clearly I am. I get the message when I turn on "Info" or go to "Places".
This only happens after leaving iPhoto open, then putting the computer to Sleep. Once I wake it up, it no longer recognizes the connection. (Upon first running the program, everything works fine.)
My only solution is to re-start iPhoto. Which really isn't a solution.
Is there any way around this? Maybe a way to refresh iPhoto, that I'm overlooking?

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

Satellite L300-135 sees WLan network but won't connect

Well, (new laptop) initially it worked with my BT hub at home... then decided to stop working - recieves no signal or response from the router - even though other laptops in the house can connect without any problem
and now the wireless does not work - ie. I can see the wireless connection but cannot connect.
I'm sure the wireless is not switched off (before anyone suggests so)
I searched for more up to date drivers but nothing seems to work.

First of all you should check if your WLan card has been recognized properly.
I mean you have to check it in the device manager!
Your WLan card should be the Realtek 802.11g(RTL8187B)
Download and install the newest WLan driver from the Realtek page.
Then update the BIOS.
Finally configure all the WLan settings again.
In device manger -> WLan card properties -> Advanced tab disable the power saving settings and check other settings which could affect the connectivity.

Nokia C3-01 wlan is connecting but unable to brows...

I bought Nokia C3-01 touch and type model 5 days before, I connected it through the wlan and it was successfully connected, but once i started browsing it show the msg after loading for few min as " the link is not found plz try after some times' ,but the page is opening while using gprs, plz help me to resolve the problem.

I got Wifi working finally for Opera Mini on my Nokia C3-01 phone. It was working fine for browser and mail application though.
I did the following.
1) In Settings >> Configuration >> Def. config. sett.
Delete all entries.
2) Create a access point manually using Settings >> Configuration>>Personal Settings.
It is necessary to create one. It will still work even though it is not pointing to real access point. Just point it to dummy Pack. data acc. pt. access point say "foo".
3) Set the access point created in step 2 as Preferred acc. pt using Settings >> Configuration>>Preferred acc. pt
4) Make sure you had set WLAN >> Internet Conn. to Ask first.
Now apps like Opera Mini starts Asking for Access point whenever connecting to internet.
It shows mutiple access point in the list. Usually the first one is your wifi access point and second one is the dummy access point you had as preferred access point.
Using the above steps i am able to point wifi access point to access internet in all apps available in my phone. If you want to still access your gprs access point too then point the preferred access point created in step 2 to real gprs access point instead of "foo". Contact your operator to get configuration details for real gprs access point or check out how it is configured in your friends phone using the same operator as yours. Just make sure you are doing it manually and are not using the configuration profile sent by operator direcly to your phone. It blocks wifi access point access on your phone.

The moral of the story is configure your access point manually.
Do not use configuration setting provided by operator, they block access to wifi access point.
I dropped configuration settings provided by my operator i.e Vodafone IN when i found that apps like opera mini are always connecting to gprs instead of wifi.

Configuring the time capsule airport wlan function as "connect to wlan", the time caspule gets a correct IP adress from the other wlans IP range, but does not assign this to the ethernet ports. With Airport Express it worked!

My setup is a Vodafon Esaybox connected to ISP. Time Capsule is not able to extend the wlan of the easybox, neither airport express can do.
Only the option "connect to wlan" is succesful.
With airport express I was able to connect my Sony Bravia TV to the lan via ethernet to stream pictures, the TV set got an IP adress from the easybox.
With the time capsule the easybox dosn't find devices connected to the ethernet ports to submit IP adresses. The TV set get another IP adress (169.xxx.x.x.) in subnet mask 255.255.0.0 and I don not now where from.
My notebook is a MacBook pro.
Any idea????

If the AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule are configured to "extend a wireless network" they will provide additional wireless coverage....and...the Ethernet ports are enabled in this type of setup.
The "catch" here is that you must have an Apple router providing the network to be extended.

No connection seen in itunes but is shown on computer

I have Windows 8 but with the old Windows (e.g. 7, XP, etc) desktop view. iTunes installed and once worked to sync files, etc., but won't any more. The computer can see when my ipod is connected, but itunes doesn't, so I can't move files from itunes to ipod. Any solutions?

T60 - WLAN regularly loses connection to access point

my T60, Windows Vista with
ThinkPad 802.11a/b/g/n, 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter
WLAN driver version 05 Nov 2007, v7.3.1.127
WPA authentification
regularly (i.e. once every 15 min) loses the connection to the access point for some seconds.
I already tried different access points, different encryption, different WLAN channels, but nothing helped.
So the cause seems to be the WLAN adapter of my T60 or the driver.
I am using the latest driver. As far as I remember, I did not experience this issue on Windows XP.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? It's quite annoying.

One thing worth trying is changing the wireless channel on the Cisco WAP.To do this, just login to your U-verse gateway by going to http://192.168.1.254. From there you should see a list of all the devices connected, and you just want to choose the details on the Cisco AP. It should give you an IP Address. From there, type that IP address into your browser. It should ask you for a user name and password:User: ATTadminPass: 401!VENFrom there go to the wireless options and change the Control Channel option to one of the 4 channels. Re- Installed software, connected but now cannot edit

I had changed my ftp password and email and had some other
issues, so I uninstalled Adobe Contribute and re-installed and
re-started. I have a connection but when I try to edit, it says I
cannot because it is currently being edited by another user (my id
and old e-mail are shown as the "other user".)
Should I have deactivated prior to uninstalling and then just
started all over that way? I have tried to look under Admin to
change my ID and e-mail but do not see an option for this. How do I
log off the old and access to Edit? Thanks!

role.
Go the page that you want to edit. Now you will have a info
bar that some one is currently editing the page please click here
to make the page editable. Please go ahead and break the lock after
which you will be able to edit the page.
Only users in administrator role can break the locak and make
page editable.

Well guys i bought my nokia 5800 today so like any other curious people i looked the wi-fi hoping connect with the internet and when i try to connect with the wi-fi appears this message "WLAN: Unable to connect. Wlan Network not Found." and then it dosen´t connectbut he finds normally the networ and this message appears after i type the Router password.i´ve already looked in another foruns and i´ve already switch off the Option Qos in my router and the problem cotinues, so anyone can help me?my router is one linksys wrt54g and the type of connection is static ip an the security is Wpa Personal TKIP....

As already suggested, you could try disabling the MAC filtering from the router, just to outrule possibility of a typo while entering E72's MAC address to router settings.
Have you tried swithing a WLAN channel that your router uses?
Log in to your router's web management pages (check router's default IP address and username/password from it's manual) and switch of the "Automatic" channel selection mode. Try few different channels, like 1, 3, 6, 9, 11, if one of the channels happens to work any better. Note that in case you have set your router to use channels 12 or 13 (or in case "Automatic" channel selection mode has decided to select channel 12 or 13) you must have a SIM card inserted and some other than "Offline" profile enabled on your phone since Offline mode (i.e. airplane / flight mode) won't allow your phone to operate on higher channels than 11.
In case you have configured your WLAN network (SSID) to be "hidden", try disabling hidden SSID mode on the router.
Asus WL-500W router seems to be a pre-standard 802.11n device so might be worth looking in to your router's WLAN settings and see if playing around with router's WLAN operating mode and settings improve the situation. First of all ensure that your router is not set to operate in 20/40MHz mode (set it to 20MHz only) assuming that the router is in default 802.11b/g/n mode. You could also try disabling the 802.11n mode completely by selecting a 802.11b/g mode (if available).
You should probably also check that you're running latest (2.0.0.6 ??) firmware version on your Asus WL-500W router since there seems to plenty of complaints regarding WLAN connectivity and stability issues (in general, not specific to Nokia handsets) with this particular router model.

C3 Internet (WLAN)/GPRSE automatic connection

I'm having a problem and it is messing up my business.
Few days ago, my C3-00 stopped accessing wifi and GPRS automatically. It only accesses when I open Email program or web browser.
I set up my cellphone to connect WLAN automaticallyL Internet connection (do not ask), WLAN search (on), email (update very fast) already.
I din't change anything. This problem happened many times ago, but I could fix it by "restoring factory setting" and setup again the email program.
However, I cannot fix the problem this time. I hard reset all on my phones, delete all the email accounts on email programs but it doesn't help.
I need to access Wifi or GPRS (if I go to places that don't have wifi) so I am alerted new emails all the time. I need it because of my business although it makes the battery run out fast. I don't care about the charge of GPRS (it's free in my country).
Please someone help me.

On your router/modem, there will be a Wi-Fi password. If you enter that into your iPad for your connection, then your iPad will have permission to connect to that access point and then you will be able to use your internet.
