No WLan Connectivity when Lan used with WRT54G

I have a desktop-PC (Win XP-SP2) connected to Lan-port 1 on the WRT54G (v8.00.2)
Every time the PC is on (even at boot prompt) I cannot connect any laptop (win or Linux) via WLan. If a WLan connention is already established when is PC is started, then the connection fails immediately, the network is no more visible in the available network list.
I searched the net as well as this forum and found some aparently similar problems, but never a solution.
Can anyone help, please?

Try connecting the different PC to the router hard-wired and check if you are getting the same problem...? If you do not get the same problem then,try to update the driver of the NIC(wired ethernet adapter) on your computer.

I use a Lenovo ThinkPad X220. I have no trouble with the wlan connection when i use the notebook alone. The wlan connection is also stable when i use the notebook plugged in the dockingstation with the lid open. But when I use the notebook plugged in the dockingstation with the lid closed my wlan connection drops regularely to about 2 Mbps and gets very unstable.
The ThinkPad uses the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 wlan network controller:

At first I thought, the problem could be caused by the KDE power saving settings. I changed the settings, so nothing happens when I close the lid (no hibbernation or screen lock or something like that), but without success (the wlan connection is still unstable under the described circumstances).
Also dmesg shows nothing that points out a problem (as far as I can see):

So I have no idea where this strange behaviour comes from (only wild guesses: buildfactor, antenna orientation,...).

hmmm...
how about checking both your wired and wireless nic drivers in device manager to make sure that the "allow computer to turn off this device to save power" checkbox on the power management tab is deselected.

In cases like this, if you have an Apple store near by, they will most likely install the OS free of charge for you, if you can't bring your Apple ID along to prove you've paid for it.

... It was not really the cam connection kit... It was infact the radio dongle plugged in to the connection kit what created problems... The signal of the dongle was disturbing the WLAN antenna of the iPad... I was looking for a possibility to have a external soundbox connected without cable and for listening to live streamed news... Now, I need the cable for connecting the dongle with distance to the iPad... Not really a satisfying solution... Nö way arround, I guess?!?

I have had connection problems with my L650 Toshiba for the past couple of months.
I bought my laptop a year ago (October 2010), and everything was working perfectly until April 2011.
The first few months, my computer would connect automatically to the internet once it started up.
Since April 2011, my computer takes about 2 minutes to connect to a wireless internet connection when I start it up, whether it is my home connection or work connection.
Once it does connect, the wireless connection works perfectly.
The problem does not come from a wireless router because it happens with all wireless connections. Furthermore, I have tried updating the drivers for the wireless adapter (Broadcom 802.11n) with no success at all.
I would be grateful if someone could provide possible solutions to the problem.

Well, it could be possible that something is running in the OS background and therefore it takes some time until the notebook could connect to the Wlan.
In my case the notebook needs some time to connect to Wlan because the virus scanner and CCleaner run at the startup and scans the HDD and the system.
After that the notebook connects to Wlan.

How to get connection when mixing cmp with bmp

I have a CMP-based system in which I need to have a method in a
stateless session bean to use BMP. In order for that method to
participate in a larger transaction, I need to make sure that I grab
the database connection that is used by that transaction. How would I
do that?
For simple BMP, I would get my connection like this
InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();
DataSource ds = (javax.sql.DataSource)ctx.lookup("java:/someDataSource");
java.sql.Connection conn = ds.getConnection();
But in this case, how can I be sure that the connection I got is the
one that is used by the current transaction? Or does it happen
auto-magically?
I have pored thru the API and can't seem to find a way to get a
Connection from a javax.ejb.SessionContext, which I do have a handle
to.

dumb question. This has nothing to do with mixing BMP and CMP, even in
pure BMP, you have to wonder if the connection you get is the one used
by the current transaction (if there is one already), and of course it
is the container's responsibility to make sure.

I have 3 computers, but cannot connected with each other through network syetem. Details as below:-
Wireless Broadband Router - WRT54G
Computer 1 laptop - Fujitsu P7110 Window XP Professional
Computer 2 laptop - Fujitsu B5010 Window XP Home SP2
Computer 3 desktop - Dell Dimension 2400 Window XP Home SP2
When I click the Network Place then View Workgroup Computer, I cannot access into the network that all computers are in same domain name. A warning clause come out "XXXXX is not accessible. You might not ave permission to use this network resoruce. Contact the adminitrator of this server to find out if you hve permissions."
Router firmware has been upgraded from version 2.0 to version 4.21.1.
Have contacted with Microsoft & Fujitsu on this problem, but they cannot give me any solution about this problem. You are my last chance. Thanks.

On your XP Pro, go into the Admin Tools>>Local Security Settings>>Local Policies>>Security Settings and set Network Settings: Sharing and Security Model to CLASSIC.

Internet Connection no longer working with WRT54G V3 Router

I have had a WRT54G V3 router working successfully for a number of years now with a couple wireless PCs through a cable modem with Comcast as my ISP. All of a sudden yesterday, neither PC could access the internet. No changes had been made to the router.
I contacted Comcast and they of course had me hard-wire one of my PCs into the cable modem. That worked and I was able to access the internet. However, when I tried to put the router back in place (in either a wired or wireless fashion), I could not access the internet.
I've tried following the online Linksys troubleshooting documention. The lights that should be lit on the router are lit. I can access the router setup web page which shows the settings still intact. I've tried going through the power sequencing to no avail. Comcast says my router is the culprit of my problem, but I don't know why it would all of a sudden stop working. My wireless printer still works so it detects a signal and my PC shows it's connected, but no internet access is possible.
What do I need to do? Are there any other diagnostic tools available? The Chat people won't help because I'm out-of-warranty.

Issue with XML post when port used with server name

Hi Guys,
We are currently using an agent on our application servers which puts a server in "inservice standby" if the CPU load on the system goes above 75%. This agent is using an XML post on the CSM to achieve this and put the server back inservice using XML post as well.
Currently we are trying to use the same agent for another application which has a port number defined as well and it does not seem to work.
To give an example where it works:
serverfarm TEST
nat server
nat client TEST
real name BLABLA
inservice
The example where it does not work:
serverfarm TEST
nat server
nat client TEST
real name BLABLA 50000
When we get the server name via XML we see that CSM returns the name as BLABLA: 50000 however using the same in the script does not work.
Would someone know how to put the port number in an XML script so that the CSM understands which server need to be changed.

From Azure unable to connect internal LAN network with windows RRAS site to site VPN

Hi All,
Below is my scenario.
Our side.
We have installed RRAS on Windows 2012 R2 on VMware and created a site to site VPN with azure.
on RRAS server we have two interfaces
eth0- 10.1.1.1
eth1- 10.1.1.2
We have natted(static nat) internal ip (eth0) 10.1.1.1 with public ip 1.1.1.1 (eg.).
On Azure,
We created a gateway, and two VMs.
VM1 = 11.11.11.1
VM2 = 11.11.11.2
Both VMs can ping each other.
VPN gateway on Azure and demand dial on RRAS server shows connected and, in and out data shows as well.
We can ping, tracert and rdp the RRAS server using both the interfaces IP [eth0- 10.1.1.1 , eth1- 10.1.1.2]
But we are unable to ping, tracert or rdp our other internal Lan machines on 10.1.x.x
So we can reach Azure VM from our RRAS and
we can reach RRAS server from Azure VM.
But we cannot reach our other internal Lan machines from Azure VM and from other internal Lan machine to Azure VM.
Please help?

I will give you some pointers to check.
The reason for this could be one of the two
- local site in azure virtual network is not configured correctly
- route for the azure subnet is not setup correctly on rras server
Can you please validate the above?
Open the Routing and Remote access UI and verify that there is a static route for azure subnet and the interface is the public ip of the azure gateway.
Also verify that you have a local site created with the on-premises subnet and added in the azure virtual network.
What is the gateway specified in the on-premises VM. Provide it as the IP of eth1, the IP that is not natted
Is NAT allowing all traffic in or is it restricted to certain points.

I have a unity connection 7.0 server that is sync'd with LDAP and i use a ldap filter so that only users with a specific attribute are sync'd. I can see the users when i try to do an import but is there anyway that they can automatically be created

Check this check box so that Cisco Unity Connection gets basic information on Connection users from the LDAP directories that you specify on the LDAP Directory page. Data is synchronized only for the Connection users that you created by importing users from the LDAP directory. Connection does not automatically create new Connection users when new users are added to the LDAP directory.

ITunes does NOT detect network connection when I use a 3G modem

since christmas iTunes has not been able to update when i commute, using a 3G USB modem. Over enabled and live WLAN or Ethernet interfaces everything works fine, but TCPdump does not register any packets at all from iTunes when only the USB 3G modem is up. All other networking activities work in this state, but iTunes erronously thinks there is no network and doesn't even initiate network activity.
Seems iTunes tries to be smart by detecting "is there network" by asking something in the OS, rather than trying?
Is this a bug? Am I the only one experiencing this? Is this isolated to my particular 3G modem/ISP? I don't think so...

Hi. Just go a bit further by process of elimination which you've already started. Here's a couple more things you can try.
1. Different USB cable?
2. Try plugging into another computer just to see if your iPhone will get recognised then.
If it still deosn't work then I can only assume that the handset itself has developed some kind of fault, in which case, just book a 'Genius' appointment at your local Apple store asap and get it replaced.
