No YouTube publishing

I'm currently evaluating Presenter 8 and running the application in "trial" mode.
I found out that only presentations recorded in real-time (via the RECORD button on the toolbar) with an internal or USB-webcam gives me the possibility to publish the presentation to YouTube after the recording is finished. The handling is done by Video Creator.
When preparing a presentation in PowerPoint, uploading a pre-recorded audio or video file of a speaker via the Presenter toolbar (Video --> import or Audio --> import), to sync with the slides, Presenter only gives me the possibility to publish the presentation to My Computer (or network), to Adobe Connect or to a PDF-file.
No YouTube publishing possibility here anymore.
Why not, Adobe ?
There is no other possibility to sync pre-recorded audio or video of a speaker by any other means than importing the audio/video file into PowerPoint and connecting it to the relevant slide via the Presenter toolbar.  But then, no YouTube publishing.
Also see my previous post regarding the lack of FireWire connectivity to connect an external audio/video device with a recording of a speaker, or an external camera to sync the external audio/video feed in real-time with the presentation.

Will this be solved in the future ?

Well OF COURSE PowerPoint 2010 should publish to YouTube. Its Save-and-Send menu offers every other contingency under the sun. Why not the obvious one? I'm addressing the question to Microsoft, not to Adobe.
But since Adobe's name has come up -- if Video Creator supports direct publishing to YouTube, so should the Presenter plugin. Not many among us are capable of delivering a real-time demo with script, using the product, and smiling on the face cam -- all in a single take. Oh sure, Video Creator's trim tool removes errors, but the result is a jarring jump cut.
To create movies consisting of discrete scenes, my intention was to create  10 - 15-second scenes as individual Video Creator files and import them into bespoke slides in PowerPoint. When the movie was complete, I'd upload it to YouTube.
I have spent the last two days going through every permutation of "save as" and "upload to" that Video Creator and PowerPoint 2010 are capable of, and none works with YouTube. The closest I can get is the slides running, but in each slide the video is static.
But I'm not giving up! Video Creator's dual-screen paradigm is just too good to be abandoned for lack of an adequate authoring application.
  - PowerPoint 2010 can't show Video Creator movies on YouTube.
  - Captivate can't show Video Creator movies, period.
Unless somebody can suggest a workable route with these applications, I'm going to use Video Creator as a scene-at-a-time A/V capture utility, creating 10 - 15 second  MP4 clips that correspond with my storyboard. Using a feature-rich video production application like PowerDirector, I'll insert the Video Creator clips (including audio) in the correct series, and use PowerDirector's tools and features to replace the ones I would have used in PowerPoint. The result should be silky-smooth hosted HD video demos and tutorials, able to run on desktop and mobile devices, even on YouTube!
Once the production template is in place (themes, branding, sounds at the beginning and end) I suspect this route will be more efficient than PowerPoint, which isn't really up to handling video, whether it's Adobe's or anybody else's.

  • YouTube Publish Question!

    Hello,
First video completed. I used IMovie to publish my video (large format) to YouTube. At the end of that process I got a message that it would take several hours for the video to be processed (by YouTube I assume). That was last night and I still don't show any uploads on my YouTube page. Is the lag time normal or should I retry?

Thanks...was there a long lag time from upload to post?
I'm told that each video is reviewed. I'll wait a while longer but if I have to retry, I'll upload it from my HD next time.

  • Bypass "Project Too Large" for iMovie YouTube Publishing?

    Hello,
When attempting to upload a YouTube video over 10 minutes using iMovie, it will not allow me saying that the Project is too large and must be under 10 minutes. The thing is, I am able to upload video over 10 minutes because I signed up to YouTube when they allowed over 10 minute videos. I can still upload the videos if I do it manually but I wish there was a way to bypass this in iMovie. Any tips or suggestions besides telling me to do it manually?
    Thanks.

    Hi y'all,
I am having a simlar issue with iMovie for iPad.
My files are way to big to export.
The fileis is 2.4GB and I can only export 500MB to Vimeo.
It's 63 mins and I can only export 15 mins to youtube!
I recorded a video diary and have clipped the file/project in the original project/timeline in to day recordings. I have been unable to find a way to export those individual clips (day recordings) in to  separate folders. I was hoping I could export individual clips in to sepearate folders then export them.
    I hope this makes sense?
If it does please let me know if this possible with imovie for iPad?
    Thank you!

  • I don't have a publish to youtube  Captivate 5 for Mac

I need to publish a captivate video to youtube.  I saw an article on adobe's site that states there should be a youtube option.  I also states it applies to Adobe 5 and 5.5.   Is there a patch or update that I need to apply to enable the youtube publishing feature in Captivate 5?
    Thank you,

There's a YouTube button in 5.5 but not in 5.  I think you should report the documentation issue to Adobe.  I've found a few things on their doco that seem to indicate features apply to both versions when in fact its only 5.5 that has them.  They need to annotate the doco a bit better.

  • IMove '11 publishing to YouTube problem

I attempted several times to publish a movie to YouTube, but nothing shows up on my YouTube channel. I went to the troubleshooting forum on YouTube, where it was suggested I try three times. When that wasn't successful, it was then suggested that I export the files outside of iMovie, then try to publish it manually using a YouTube publishing resource. I found that when I exported it out of iMovie, it was in the m4v format. YouTube doesn't support m4v.

YouTube supports my m4v with no issues.
Most likely you have an issue with your youtube password. At some point recently, they switched over from using YouTube passwords to linking it with your Google password.

  • Publishing to YouTube Failed: The operation couldn't be completed. No such file or directory

I am getting the following error in iMovie when I attempt to publish a video clip to YouTube: Publishing to YouTube Failed: The operation couldn’t be completed. No such file or directory. Any ideas about what is going on? I did not find anything directly related to this on general google search...

I'm not certain why this error is coming up, but I have almost 500 youtube videos on youtube, all created through the years with iMovie.
Here is what I find. The publishing tool through iMovie is very sketchy, and doesnt work well most the time. Plus you usually lose alot of quality. Go to File>Share>File. This will then save it as a file to wherever you want. Then when you go to upload on youtube, select this file.

  • FLASH and Co only via download?

    hi friends
mostly I use my computer with my premiere elements 13 offline.
but when I try to make exports for the internet on this maschine,( my private website where I will show my hollidayvideos) I cant do th exports/publishings cause premiere
needs to go online. did I make mistakes while installing it? why cant export/publish -for example flash- in offline mode?
my idea was to take the footage from the camera, edit it, export it to my harddisk, and when I am back home, than I will load it up the my website. seems to be a nogo?
hope that there is a solution. if it is a feature, that premiere elements doesnt have all options and can only do the job when online with ADOBE, then I realy have a problem.
but I cant beleive that, ADOBE must tell this prior to sell to the customer if the product doesnt work in offline mode with all features.
    brgds
    peter

    if you are interested...
VirtualDub doesnt read my footage (unknown codec and format!)
today I will check the free flash konverter, but this file needs AVI!my weekend will become exciting....I am downloading some more free stuff.
and next time when I go to holliday maybe I take another option with my camera.I was so proud that this little thing does that realy good looking fullHDs, so I filmed the two months in Portuagal in this format.
and -by the way- the Toshiba TV of my doughter also doesnt play the clips from the cam!!
my Samsung and our Computers does!
and it realy lookes great 1920x1080 60p!
the sound from the cam is unusable, on the Algarve Cliffs there was a strong wind - I do the sound on my computer, ..

    hi
I see the menue-point to publish to an private website. I thought this would give me a file which I can upload with my upüload-tool for my website later and first check it offline.
but I cant export/publish or whatever, cause the prog always wants to connect to ADOBE.and -sometimes I am in my mobilhome or at home and there it collides with my firewall.it doesnt connect to youtube, ist ADOBE - I can see this!
I have lost the game, yes I was missinterpreting but now I am much more clever..;-)
so I must realy look for another software?
and: if a company says that their software supports AC3 - I must be aware and ask what they meanandif they say that they will support YOUTUBE publishing, than this might be that first ADOBE wants to see the clip.otherwise I dont unerstand why the connection doesnt direct to YOUTUBE but to ADOBE!
what ever I try the connection is always to ADOBE, everytime! (tried several times..and I can watch what the program does!) this is NOT a first time activation, looks like that they want give away the codec.
for 5.1 (AAC) your first help was sufficient, I could made the mp4 with a 6-channel AAC, but cant mix the channels in PREMIERE.
and I make the sound in channelorder for AC3 5.1, the channel with AAC are in different order as you know.so I cant use it....
its stripping down my too high expectations, PREMIERE Elements is just for cutting off the unwanted parts of a clip or doing some transitions or assemble some takes together - thats all.
this weekend I start testing VirtualDub and the other freeware programs. and I will write to see how VEGAS works.VirtualDub does cooperate with AFTEN - my AC3 encoder, anyway I am very sceptical,  and there should be a programm called DIRECTOR anything, I have to search for this..they say it supports AC3 (hahaha) and exports for internet use...(LOL)
brgdsand have a nice weekendand thank you very much for the assistence

  • Live Stream Url

I just started using the FME and FMS.
I captured a live feed and was able to send it to the FMS.
    With the FMS URL: rtmp://ip:1935/live
Where ip is the IP Address of the server
    Stream: livestream
now when i used the application sample providedI am able to see the live feed, GREAT.
Now when use VLC or Quicktime (not from server, from my laptop) and enter the FMS Url (rtmp://ip:1935/live also tried rtmp://ip/application/live), it does not work.
I am originally a windows media encoder and utilize windows media player, so it was very easy there.
Can some one guide me on how to see this feed from outside server and on stand alone player...
Thank you in advance to all for their help.

    Thanks Jay,
But then how can we get our stream to even play on iPhone, as iPhone only supports http.
I know that there are several applications out there that output format in h.264 (which is one of the formats accepted by iPhone).
Example, youtube publishes all videos in Flah on their website, but since Phone does not support flash, they send the stream out in h.264 format (assuming they use FME).
    Any thoughts on this.
    Thanks.

  • Presenter 8 video record fails to work with firewire camcorder

Tried to record with camcorder connected via firewire. Presenter video creator crashed. Poor results for a highly anticipated "upgrade". Problem with installed "Adobe-Pr-VC.exe" app. Wish that Adobe would test their products instead of having us doing their Quality Control. But, I guess this is what they would describe as being a "feature". Glad I'm finding all these problems during the "trial" period.

    Hello Bill,
I reported a similar issue on August, 9 :  "Presenter 8 crashes after connecting external Firewire cam"
The lack of support for FireWire connections is making the product less usefull than I tought it would. We also record conferences and corporate training presentations, and recording the speaker with just a low quality webcam is not always the best option (limited options of framing, zooming, panning, tilting, following the speaker ... they are not always standing on the same spot ).
Being in the "trial" period still, I digitized and copied a pre-recorded videofile of a recent presentation on my PC and tried to synchronize it with the PowerPoint presentation, but then I found out that I need to split up my complete recording in as many individual pieces of video as the amount of slides the speaker presents. Presenter only allows to import and synchronize one videofile with one particular slide. This type of post-processing is time-consuming and inefficient.
I also can't ask the trainer to do his/her presentation in a classroom first before an audience, and then repeat the whole presentation again afterwards in front of his/her webcam to record it to make it available for people who couldn't attend the session.
That is why the connection of an external camera or recorder is a necessity. There is nothing as easy and efficient as having a camera at the back of the class or conference room, and synchronize the camera image with the PowerPoint slides in real-time, while the speaker is presenting the slides before an audience. We simply don't have the time to go through a time consuming post-processing cycle by cutting the recorded presentation into several individual videofiles and importing them into the individual slides, or asking the speaker to repeat the presentation for the 2nd time in front of a webcam.  Time is Money.
I also found out that only presentations recorded in real-time with a webcam (via the RECORD button on the toolbar) gives me the possibility to upload the presentation to YouTube. When using the possibility to import a videofile to a slide via the Presenter toolbar (Video --> import), it only gives me the possibility to publish to My Computer (or network), to Adobe Connect or to a PDF-file.  No YouTube publishing possibility here anymore.
    Why not, Adobe ?
Company policy to only connect to the proprietary Adobe Connect platform?
    That is a real pitty.
I really don't understand Adobe's policy to not support FireWire appliances in Presenter 8.  This would open so many possibilities for the product.
FireWire support is nothing new for Adobe. I'm an Adobe Premiere user for more than a decade, I use Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder to stream training sessions, conferences, etc ... and all these products support FireWire without any problem.
Don't tell me that the Adobe team needs to start studying for months how to connect a FireWire camera or recorder to its Presenter 8 software.
I hope they will investigate how they can solve this flaw as quickly as possible.
In the meanwhile, I guess, I will let the trial period pass and might consider purchasing the product once this issue has been solved.

  • Sharing video

I try to share my video in Youtube, but there is no preset to choose in publish+share online dialog box. With Vimeo and FB it works just ok. Also if I try to use expert – file- export, the export is gray and does not give any options. I have Elements 11.

    Welcome to the forum.
Do you not have the YouTube Publish+Share screen, shown below?
If you do not see YouTube, be sure to check for the little scroll bar to the far-right of that dialog screen.
As for the File>Export, that only has some very limited capabilities, as of PrE 9.
    Good luck,

  • IMovie 11 error when publishing to Youtube

Get the following error when attempting ro publish to Youtube.
"Unable to prepare project for publishing. The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (-50)"
I have 71 Gb available from 500 GB (14%). I have also made sure all folders in the "Movie" folder have permissions set to Read/Write and verified and repaired my HDD.
I just upgraded to iMovie 11 in hopes the problem would correct itself, but it did not.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you are using the right password for YouTube. A few months back, they had everyone link their YouTube account to a Google account. If so, you may need to use the YouTube username, but the Google account password.
Try going to the YouTube web page and uploading it there. The same password should work.

When I try to upload a video to youtube from my iPad, the screen freezes when I tap "publish." After several minutes, the YouTube dialog box finally disappears and the preview screen of the video appears with a "Publishing to YouTube" progress bar at the bottom. But the bar never advances and the video never gets published. Does anyone know how to fix? Never had a problem before upgrading to IOS 7.
Why did Apple screw up what was a perfectly easy way to upload videos?

First, try a reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.
