NOCLassDefFoundError: javax/jdo/InstanceCallbacks

Hey,
We are trying to run the JDO enhancer through ant.
When we run the task, we get the following error:
However, we dont get this error when we run through Eclipse.
Can someone tell me why we might be getting this error?
And how can we get rid of this?

Sadaf-
It sounds like you do not have the jdo-1.0.1.jar file in ant's
CLASSPATH. Can you check to see if this is the case?

i'm searching for help.
I'm working with a web project under WebShere and for working and compatibility reason I have to migrate from version 7.0 of WAS to older 6.1 version.
My project under version 7 run perfectly but now I not even can start correctly the WAS.

The project was born to work with JSF 1.2 and RichFaces 3.3.2 but I know they are not supported under WAS 6.1 and so I've:
- first tried to imported in project older version of jsf and richfaces (jsf 1.1.02, rich 3.1.6);
- then tried to installed them as shared libraries;
suddenly i've tried to reinstall entire WAS... same result.
can someone help me?

Looks like you need an implementation of the EL language.

Use of javax.jdo.Transaction in BMT

Sections 16.1.3 and 16.1.4 of the JDO spec (version 0.95) state that the
application code with a Bean Managed Transaction has the option of
getting a Persistence Manager before a UserTransaction is opened and
managing the transaction through the javax.jdo.Transaction interface.
When I attempt this in Kodo 2.1.2 (EE), I get the following exception
thrown:
javax.jdo.JDOUserException: The global UserTransaction must be used for
begin/commit/rollback.

You're right, we don't implement that feature of the spec yet. And
unfortunately, if we do implement it, we'll break another part of the
spec in doing so. Let me explain:
In enterprise situations, there are two requirements for transaction
management:
* In container-managed EJBs, the javax.jdo.Transaction interface cannot
be used and must throw an exception on begin/commit/rollback.
* In bean-managed EJBs, the javax.jdo.Transaction interface should tie
into the gobal UserTransaction and can be used for begin/commit/rollback.
Now, the problem is, there is absolutely no way for a generic JDO
implementation without appserver-specific hooks to know whether it is
being executed from a container managed or bean managed EJB. None. So
if we allow control of the UserTransaction through the
javax.jdo.Transaction, we'd have to allow all the time, including for
container managed beans.
The good news is that most EJB containers will detect our messing with
the transaction state manually in a container-managed EJB and throw the
proper Exception themselves, so we could probably get away with this.
And in fact this is exactly what we plan to do -- go ahead and always
allow transaction management through the javax.jdo.Transaction interface
and hope containers detect errors themselves.
Well, I'm sure that was much more information than you needed :)
Anyway, expect to see this feature implemented in the next version of
the Enterprise Edition, due out next month.

Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/rpc/soap/SOAPFaultException

I have created webservice client using jwsdp-2.0 + JDK 1.5
in Netbeans 4.1 IDE it
works perfectly in the netbeans and also works at the command prompt but when i
create a Jar file from the netbeans and run at the command prompt with following
i have included all the jar files from the jwsdp-2.0 pack in the manifest file and have
also specified the main class
java -jar test.jar it gives following error

You need the JAX-RPC classes in your class path.

Get NoClassDefFoundError: javax/faces/context/FacesContext Error at Runtime

I'm in 11g, PS1. I have an application and I have a SelectOneChoice component that invokes a managed bean (i.e. #{queryHandler.availableFilterChoice}). It then calls my constructor public QueueHandler and within that constructor i have the following line of code:

This line of code builds and compiles, but at runtime I get the following error NoClassDefFoundError: javax/faces/context/FacesContext and the application stops and fails and nothing is rendered. I have the following libraries in my project:

I'm sorry, but I guess I don't understand what you're saying. But I'm not using the line of code below anywhere so I cannot remove it. I did try to use to use that line of code then I used the import org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.util.Service; and when I use those lines of code, I get the same exact Error.

At first sight it seems your webcenter installation does not match the version of your WLS.
Your WLS installations seems to be 10.33 and not 10.3.2
If you are using WLS 10.3.3 you MUST also install webcenter 11.1.3
That could be the cause of your problems.

I have created a class JaxmClient.java. When I compile the class with appropriate jar files assigned to -classpath it compiles successfully with no errors. But when I run the classe "java JaxmClient" it produces the following exception:

I am trying to use jaxb with Weblogic 6.1. I kept both the jaxb jar file in weblogic
classpath in setEnv script. I am getting the following error, when I am trying
to use jaxb

I tried other options also like coping both jar file in jre/ext dir but then I
got security error.

I'm assuming you're using JWSDP 1.6 as I see Fastinfoset.jar in your list. You are missing some jar files in your classpath there. The best way to know what you need is to look at the release notes for JWSDP 1.6. Since you're building a web serivce start with the table in there and lookup JAX-RPC. It'll show you what jar files are needed and what other libraries are needed. Now depending on what you're doing you don't really need all those.
For sure you're missing jsr173_api.jar which is where I believe that class you need is located. This is in the JWSDP_1_6\sjsxp\lib directory. You will probably need the other jar thats in there too. Best bet is to follow the dependancy chart in the release notes.
This should get you going.

Hi Kodo people, I'm trying out Kodo 3.2.0, most specifically for the
spiffy new setRange() functionality. However, I'm somewhat confused
because while the docs clearly indicate that the setRange() method is
available on the standard javax.jdo.Query interface, it's not available
on the javax.jdo.Query class that ships with Kodo 3.2.0. I have to cast

I think you missed the note at the beginning of the query chapter in the docs:
Much of the functionality we discuss in this chapter is new to JDO 2. Though
Kodo supports all of the features defined in the following sections, many JDO
implementations may not. Additionally, because official JDO 2 jars are not yet
available, you will have to cast your query objects to kodo.query.KodoQuery to
access any JDO 2 APIs. The UML diagram above depicts these APIs in bold. For
simplicity, casts have been left out of the example code throughout the chapter.

Hi everybody,receive my sincere greeting,i have a slight problem right here.I am trying to test the Server API for Mobile Services i dowloaded from nokia forum.I have a J2SE program that sends an SMS to a mobile device.When i try to run the simple program in JBuilder 2005 Enterprise i encounter the error below.Please help me i am not sure if i should include the j2ee.jar for my project to detect the resource package in javax or not.Anyone related with this problem plz help me.

I have created client stubs for a webservice using axis wsdl2java tool. When I try calling these stubbed methods from JUnit tests, they are working fine but when I try to execute the jar (it is a swing) I get the following exception:

1. Build jar file with MAINFEST.MF and Export of Eclipse , which has content:

2. build jar with ant: make sure the their are at least one blank between
values of Class-Path.

3. If you haven't pack you class file in jar, create a bat to set CLASSPATH
exactly to all jars.

Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/mail/Service

Hi,
Happy New Year Everyone! Sadly, it's not that happy for me right now, I'm trying to write a mail app using JavaMail, but I'm getting a NoClassDefFoundError when I run the program.... The program compiles fine, it only crashes when I run the program. Does anyone have any ideas why that's happenning? I compile the program using javac -classpath .:mail.jar *.java and I'm working on a Unix Box. Any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated!
The error message I received is pasted below (I left out the stack trace to make reading easier).

Read the directions that came with the javamail API...it tells you the OTHER API you need. Also, word of advice....I un jar'd and re-jar'd all the classes from BOTH API's in one file...makes life easier.

am missing some where around Jar file config..
pls. any one can give me the solution..

Where to find javax.xml.bind and javax.jdo

One of my application require import javax.xml.bind and javax.jdo packages. I could not find them. Someone can help to let me know where to download them or they come with some other toll\packages?
