    hi,
    I am getting error message when i run HttpClient in my java class. Will the HttpClient will work in weblogic.
    HttpClient httpclient = new HttpClient();
    I added "commons-httpclient-3.1.jar" in the class path also.

    Again you need to make a difference between what runs within the weblogic container to what runs in a vanilla JVM. Understanding this is crucial to your problem.
    1. web service -> client -> another web service
    The webservice will always run within the weblogic container and you should never get the ClassnotFound because weblogic.jar is always available there. Any subsequent clients loaded into the same JVM will presumably be in the same classloader and wont have problems either
    2. client -> web service;
    If you are using a standalone client in a JVM you shouldnt have any dependency on weblogic and commons-httpclient will work just fine as would commons-logging. However if you include some weblogic jars in the classpath, when you launch the client JVM you would need to include the jars mentioned in the other post because they reference other weblogic classes. But this isn't necessary if you just clean up your classpath to only have the jars you need.

  • WebLogic 9.2 MP1 - NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/xml/domimpl/Saver

    Hello,
    I'm currently experiencing the following error in our production WebLogic environment. Curiously, the same WAR file deploys and works fine on our QA and STAGE servers. I must admit that my debugging knowledge of WebLogic is limited, but I have checked the obvious things (same version of WebLogic on all servers, same JAR files present on all, etc).
    The error occurs when trying to generate a WSDL for a web service. The error is as follows:
    ####<Oct 16, 2008 6:46:59 PM BST> <Error> <HTTP> <lxxxxxxxxx.xxxxx.com> <xxxxxx_16621_1> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1224179219556> <BEA-101017> <[weblogic.servlet.internal.WebAppServletContext@5ebaa3 - appName: 'AJPServices', name: 'AJPServices.war', context-path: '/AJP/AJPServices'] Root cause of ServletException.

    Hey Sam,
    Are you using the same kinda startup means ?
    (NodeManager / Regular Scripts)
    If you created your application the same way on all environments, you could try to use the script from QA to production (means you'll have to do it by night :) ) or in the other way : try your production startup script in the QA env.
    Else, the good old-fashioned way : compare both config.xml with WinCompare or BeyondCompare or anything that does the job.
    Make also sure you don't have any XML Registry declared and that your domain/lib directories look alike.
    Hope this helps.

  • Unable to start MS NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/sip/tools/SipToolsFactory

    Hi Folks,
    I really need ur assistance on this, I am failing to start my weblogic managed server which is on WL 10.3.4 and hosted on Windows 2008R2 server.
    I am getting the below exception:
    <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1365769487402> <BEA-000386> <Server subsystem failed. Reason: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/sip/tools/SipToolsFactory

         at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:176)
    Now the I dont want to use the SIP and have done the following:
    1. Disabled the SIP from my Weblogic Console and restarted the Admin Server
    2. Modified my init script from
    <setenv name="WLSS_HOME">
    <value>E:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3/sip</value>
    </setenv>
         <setenv name="SIP_ENABLED">
              <value>true</value>
         </setenv>
    to
    <setenv name="WLSS_HOME">
    <value>E:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3/sip</value>
         </setenv>
              <setenv name="SIP_ENABLED">
              <value>false</value>
                   </setenv>
    3. Modified my class paths so SIP wont be called.
    Now the interesting part, actually this setup is a running setup and I have installed it from scratch..The thing here is it might sound silly....But the weblogic still picks up the Classpath for SIP during startup, be it via node manger or even on the server.
    <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000395> <Following extensions directory contents added to the end of the classpath:
    E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\DOMAIN_XYZ\lib\sipactivator.jar>
    <BEA-002647> <The service plugin, com.oracle.core.sip.activator, was added from E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\DOMAIN_XYZ\lib\sipactivator.jar.>
    If you see its a extension lib file, now my query without deleting the file from the extension lib how can i get rid of it.
    Hope someone can help me out.
    Thanks

    Hi Kishore,
    Thanks for the update, but I had already done those changes, please find my current config.xml but I noticed one thing when I restart my weblogic instance it creates a new config.xml with a name like this config.xml and it doesnt reflect the original config.xml which I am trying to use. I some how feel that the config.xml is being picked up while stating the instance instead of the original config.xml.
    I am placing both of them below with the respective names.
    config.xml (the one i am trying to use)

    you didnt seem to have configured the datasource / connection pool / database control with proper db properties
    you should check your configuration to see if you have done it right and then you should check your application and the properties settings in the controls to ensure they are right.

    NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/management/configuration/KernelDebugMBean : weblogic/management/configuration/DebugMBean
    I'm getting this error when trying to run a test of a web service developed with Axis outside of WLP.
    weblogic.jar is in my classpath, and contains that class. So, I suspect there is some other class that might be missing. I've tried adding every .jar I can find from WLP to my classpath to no avail.

    Hi Tim,
    Pls always mention WLP version for a question.
    Looks like there has been a change in the class "KernelDebugMBean" between WLP 9.2 and WLP 10.0
    9.2: public interface KernelDebugMBean extends weblogic.management.configuration.DebugMBean
    "http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs92/javadocs_mhome/index.html"
    10.0
    public interface KernelDebugMBean
    "http://edocs.beasys.co.jp/e-docs/wls/docs100/javadocs_mhome/index.html?weblogic/management/configuration/KernelDebugMBean.html"
    Not really sure. Something is messy about DebugMBean superclass.
    Might a BEA support question
    Thanks
    Vishnu

  • Re: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission weblogic.kernel.allowQueueThrottling read)

    This looks like it might be a bug in 6.1SP5,
              weblogic/kernel/Kernel.java at line 85.
              It's trying to do the right thing to ignore an exception if in
              an applet but it's ignoring the wrong exception
              (SecurityException, when it looks like the stack
              trace is throwing a java.security.AccessControlException).
              If you need a fix, this would need to go through support
              and be filed as a problem with WLS Core.

    I suggest going through customer support, I don't know what
              the resolution was. You might also try the security newsgroup,
              as no JMS code has been called by the application yet at
              the point the exception is thrown.

    Prasad,
    It's one thing not to have to modify the security policy on the server,
    but on a client and applets have even bigger restrictions this might
    very well be the only way since the default applet restrictions would
    not allow a lot of permissions granted by default for normal Java
    applications.

    Ram,
    You are missing a permission grant in your policy file and the
    SecurityManager doesn't allow the code to read that property.
    You have either configured a different security manager or have the
    wrong file in use.
    For applets this file might be in the user's home directory and named
    .java.policy
    you need to have the following line somethere in it:
    grant {
    permission java.util.PropertyPermission "*", "read,write";
    Which will allow any applet to read and write any JVM property.
    Look at Java permissions is you need more info:

    This is a WLS bug. You shouldn't have to modify security policy.
    Please approach support for a fix.

    I don't know what is happening. JMS hasn't been called yet -
              the applet is still setting up its initial context. You might want
              to try posting to the jndi (and perhaps rmi) newsgroup.

  • Weblogic.kernel.Default not using all threads

    We are running weblogic 8.1 sp4 on HP Tru64 5.1.
    We have an admin server and 3 managed servers in a cluster.
    When monitoring the weblogic.kernal.Default execute threads through the weblogic console, threads 0 to 15 have zero total requests, and the user is marked '<WLS Kernal>'. Threads 16 to 24 share the entire workload with thousands of requests shared between them, and have user marked as 'n/a' (when idle).
    I have done a thread dump, and threads 0 to 15 just seem to be idle.
    This is the case for the admin server, server 1 and server 3. But server 2 actually shows all threads 0 to 24 as sharing the workload, and the user is 'n/a' for all threads.
    Is there a reason for this?
    Below is a snippet of the thread dump showing a thread that is has user '<WLS Kernel>':

    Grand central dispatch - infancy, not really doing its job, and I don't think apps have to be specifically written for HT, but they do have to not do things that they use to - prevent threads from going to sleep! or be parked.
    high usage is not necessarily high efficiency. often the opposite.
    Windows 7 seems to be optimized for multi-core thanks to a lot of reworking. Intel wants and knows it isn't possible to hand code, that the hardware has to be smarter, too. But the OS has a job, and right now I don't think it does it properly. Or handle memory.
    Gulftown's 12MB cache will help, and over all should be 20% more efficient doing its work.
    With dual processors, and it doesn't look like there are two quick path bridges, data shuffling has led to memory thrashing. Use to be page thrashing with not enough memory. Then core thrashing but having the cores, but not integrated (2008 is often touted as being greatest design so far, but it was FOUR dual-cores, 2009 was the first with a processor that really was new design and (native) 4-core.
    One core should be owned by the OS so it is always available for its own work and housekeeping.
    The iTunes audio bug last year showed how damaging and not to implement code and how a thread could usurp processing and add a high cpu temperature while basically doing nothing, sort of a denial of service attack on the processor - those 80*C temps people had.
    All those new technology features under development and not like OpenCL, GCD and even OpenGL are tested, mature but rather 1.0 foundation for the future. A year ahead of readiness.

  • Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/rjvm/LocalRJVM

    Has anyone seen this error, when trying to get an InitialContext?
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/rjvm/LocalRJVM
    If I create an InitialContext within the main function of my test
    program everything is fine. However, when
    I try to call a method on the class that is supposed to create the
    InitialContext I get this error. The settings for
    creating the InitialContext are identical in 'main' and the helper class
    I have to create the InitialContext. I can't
    make any sense out of this one. I'm running WLS 5.1 with service pack
    3.

    Dear Sir/Madam
    I downloaded the Weblogic610 server five times, and when I install it on my Linux
    box (RedHat 7.1), I always met the exception like:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/Server
    When I check with lib directory, there is weblogic.jar here, but the file looks
    was damaged, the file size is ok, but I can't open it by use jar tool or other
    tools.
    Some packeage is very strange, after my downloaded, and install, there are only
    a few files in lib directory and some subdirectory and weblogic.jar is missing,
    but the download is normal.
    So, I hope who guy have similar experience, please let me know.
    Thank you

    Hi Raj,
    Could you provide more information from the log; is there a full
    traceback. A first step may be to use the latest service pack [1].
    Also you might try your question in the management newsgroup [2] or
    contact our outsanding support group [3].
    Hope this is of some value,

    The request to start the server ecgNode01 of domain CQ6UIDomain failed because the node manager did not hear from the managed server in the configured timeout period. Despite this, if the managed server has not failed, it will come up and the node manager will start monitoring it. To adjust this timeout so that the task does not fail prematurely, please refer to the node manager property ScavangerDelaySeconds (Default value : 180 seconds. Current value : 180 seconds
