Node manager status showing not reachable

Hi Everybody,
Before installation Nodemanager status should be started and status must be reachable.
But in my case after starting nodemanager, the status is showing as inactive.I have tried with many AIA installation blogs as well as weblogic server blogs. But i can't find the exact process to make status as reachable.
Please provide me the steps for the same to continue.
AIA installation pending....Need Help.
With Regards
Jyoti

Hi Everybody,
Thanx to All.I have done with nodemanager settings successfully and start both Admin and SOA servers up successfully.
But i do have all the Admin,SOA,AIA,PIP servers in a single machine. Can anyone please tell me what is the need of nodemanger??
Question to ask:(Only for Application Integration Architecture only)
1> Is it needed for AIA installation only??
2> Should it be useful while working in a single machine??
3> As i am working on a single machine,so will the nodemanager be useful for any other process (or processes ) otherthan AIA installation??
Please be with me,i m working with the same.
With Regards

  • Status Agent Not Reachable - How to set a fix port number?

My EM 10g was working fine http://localhost:5500/em
Now when I tried, it was not working. I looked into portlist and found out it there was additional port of 5502
But when I logged into port 5502, Status Agent Not Reachable. Other links were working fine.
I had even installed another DB called REPOS other than the default ORCL.
All the services were up and running and I was just bouncing services back and forth and luckly I got the original port 5500 to work and then I did not got the error "Status Agent Not Reachable".
So I just wanted to know how to set a dedicated port in case the port number changes back to 5502 and if I get the error again.
    Thanks in advance.

Yes I installed multipe databases for eg ORCL was the default but I installed REPOS.
I did not uninstall the db.
Why does it show two different ports for ORCL 5500 and 5502 and for Repos it shows two ports but they are the same 5501.
Everything is on my local machine.
    Following is from the portlist
Ultra Search HTTP port number =5620
    Enterprise Manager Agent Port =
    iSQL*Plus HTTP port number =5560
Enterprise Manager Console HTTP Port (orcl) = 5500
Enterprise Manager Agent Port (orcl) = 1830

  • Battery status showing "not charging" when power adapter is plugged in

I just bought a brand new Magsafe adapter 60w for my macbook but it seems that when i plugged in to my macbook, the battery status showed "not charging".  I have to disconnect and plug in again.  This also happened when I used my previous power adapter, that is why I got a new one.  Is this a common problem?  Please advise what could be done.

    Hi
Try resetting the SMC. This sometimes solves this type of problem, in fact, it's listed as one of the reasons why you should try this:

  • SC 2012 R2 - Operations Manager - All servers except Management server show Not Monitored

    Hi all,
I have installed System Centre 2012 R2 - Operations Manager and configured on our Domain and running without a problem. I used the VHD available here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=40844
I have created a single VM called VM1 and installed Windows Server 2012 R2. VM1 has also been joined to our domain.
The management packs for Server 2012 R2 have been downloaded to the SC2012 OM.
I have discovered and added in VM1 server to the OM Server. I can see the agent running in VM1 (Microsoft Monitoring Agent) but it always shows as "Not monitored".
I have restarted both servers, found the guide regarding "Greyed out or Not monitored" but the steps outlined have not resolved the issue.
The account used in the test domain to install and run the service is a Domain Admin account. The test domain network also disabled the firewall on all member servers.
I have stopped all services on the OM server, renamed the "Health Service State" folder as suggested but nothing has resolved the issue.
Could anyone please help me? If more information is needed I would be happy to provide it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Graham

    Thank you all. After coming into the office today I checked the event logs on VM1. All afternoon I had been getting 4 events every 15 minutes;
Three x 21023 - OpsMgr has no configuration for management group SCOM12 and is requesting new configuration from the Configuration Service
And one error, 20070 The OpsMgr Connector connected to SCOM12.test.local, but the connection was closed immediately after authentication occurred.  The most likely cause of this error is that the agent is not authorized to communicate with the
server, or the server has not received configuration.  Check the event log on the server for the presence of 20000 events, indicating that agents which are not approved are attempting to connect.
However at 00:04, I can see an event log 21019 - OpsMgr has returned to communicating with it's primary hostSCOM12.test.local and since then regular Health Service logs.
I checked in OM and now it is showing as Healthy and monitored - I guess this just needed a lot of time to configure itself? Is this normal behaviour?
I also checked VM1 TCP 5723 which it says was not open (the firewall is off on the server however it is working in OM.
    PS C:\PSScripts> Test-Port -computer VM1 -port 5723 -tcp
    Server   : VM1
    Port     : 5723
    TypePort : TCP
    Open     : False
Notes    : Connection to Port Timed Out
Thanks again for your help. If it goes again I shall create a new post.

But it is still the same issue. To verify that there is no firewall , I brought down manager process and started DB Listener using the same port. I managed to connect to the DB through listener from remote machines without any issues.
For the manager process to work properly , Is there any other mandatory process which i should start so that this port will remain open and usable? I believe this has something to do with GG architecture as I was able to use DB listener on this port without any issues.
Initially, I faced this issue in Target machine's Manager process port. So, i thought of diagnosing from scratch and I started the manager process in source and did telnet test. The telnet test fails for both Source and Target Manager process ports.

  • SCOM 2007 R2 Root Management server showing Not Monitored State in Ops Mgr Console

    Hello Experts,
In my Prod SCOM 2007 R2 environment RMS server state is "Not Monitored", But we are receiving alerts with limitation. By mistakenly I put Maintenance Mode while rebooting RMS server due to slow performance of the server.
Can anybody help me to revert back to the RMS Health state ?

We can identify the Performance Signature Data Collection Rules in this example by executing the following SQL Query. This query should be executed in SQL Management Studio against the Operations Manager database.
-- Return all Performance Signature Collection Rules
    Use OperationsManager
    select
    managementpack.mpname,
    rules.rulename
    from performancesignature with (nolock)
    inner join rules with (nolock)
    on rules.ruleid = performancesignature.learningruleid
    inner join managementpack with(nolock)
    on rules.managementpackid = managementpack.managementpackid
    group by managementpack.mpname, rules.rulename
    order by managementpack.mpname, rules.rulename
This query will return all Performance Signature Collection Rules and their respective Management Pack name. A column is returned for Management Pack name and Rule name.
The following Performance Monitor Counters on a Management Server will provide information concerning Database and Data Warehouse write action insertion batch size and time. If the batch size is growing larger, for example the default batch size is 5000 items,
this indicates either the Management Server is slow inserting the data to the Database or Data Warehouse, or is receiving a burst of Data Items from the Agents or Gateway Servers.
    · OpsMgr DB Write Action Modules(*)\Avg. Batch Size
    · OpsMgr DB Write Action Modules(*)\Avg. Processing Time
    · OpsMgr DW Writer Module(*)\Avg. Batch Processing Time, ms
    · OpsMgr DW Writer Module(*)\Avg. Batch Size
From the Database and Data Warehouse write action account Average Processing Time counter, we can understand how long it takes on average to write a batch of data to the Database and Data Warehouse. Depending upon the amount of time it takes to write a batch
of data to the Database, this may present an opportunity for tuning.

  • Imessage showing not delivered status..in mac mini

    Hi all,
I am using mac mini with new Yosemite OS, my imessage sign in with my user id , but if i ping any online recipient, status shows not delivered.same apple id account i login in same mac mini with another user login account its working. is the user profile issue or any other issue?

Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

  • Node manager runs on 5559 port instead of 5556

As I found out recently, even though in Silent.xml NODEMGR_PORT value was "5556", installed as windows service, it runs on 5559. For example, if I specify it in Admin console, I get "Undefined" node manager status. But if I use 5559, I get "Reachable".
Can anybody tell me why it is so?

Should be declared in your nodemanager properties in wl_home\wlserver_10.3\common\nodemanager . You can change it here and then uninstall and reinstall the nodemanager service.

  • Managed server will not start

No action will be performed. " When I check the node manager logs (node manager service IS running) it has the error lsited below. I found this solution but not sure how to check or verify it. *Solution:
It could be that the CA certificates sent to the server are being shown in the wrong order for the chain. Review the CAs and see if the order such as Public, Intermediate, Root CA is respected. *
Any guidance would be appreciated and points awarded. Thanks

    Hii
    This is a Common Error.
1.Make sure your Admin Server is in Running mode.
2.Make sure that your Managed Server is in shutdown mode.
3.Make sure that your domain mapping is correct.
4.Any domain created before creation of Node Manager Service will not be accessible via node Manager(even after restarting node manager), solution is to run the WLST command “nmEnroll” to enroll that domain with the Node Manager.
Here are the steps to do "nmEnroll".
    Example:
    cd $BEA_HOME\user_projects\domains\<domain_name>\bin
    setDomainEnv.cmd
    java weblogic.WLST
    wls> connect(‘weblogic’,'weblogic’,
    ‘t3://mymachine.mydomain:7001′)
    wls> nmEnroll(‘C:\bea\user_projects\domains/<domainName>’, ‘C:\bea\wlserver_<version>/common/nodemanager’)
5.Start your Node Manager and look for the logs where it specifies the Domain Mapping Path.
    6.Verify the domain path.
    7.Now Start your Managed Server.

  • How do I know if node manager is installed?

I recently received a security alert CVE-2010-0073 regarding a vulnerability with node manager. I do not recall installing this. I ran just the install.cmd when I installed the server. Is their a way to see if this has been installed? Or if this vulnerability does not apply to me?
Also in looking at the documentation it says that oracle provides patches for Peoplesoft customers that are using WLS92MP3. When I look at my registry.xml file it says
    <release level=9.2>
    ServicePackLevel=0 PatchLevel=0
I assume MP3 means Patch Level 3? Is that correct? So would I first need to update to patch level 3. Then apply the patch for CVE-2010-0073?
    Thanks
    Andy

Go to your Admin console and click on the "Machines" on the left hand side under Domain Structure.
If the Machine page doesnot shows any machine name ( In the same manner as we get the server name when we click on server) then you are not using any node manager.
If it shows machine name then click on that and then click on node manager on the same page. You will find you node manager configuration over there.
I think it would be enough to find out whether you have node manager installed or not.

nmServerStatus('VideotheekServer2');JVM properties are set using the admin console and edit the startup properties of your managed server (configuration, server start).
The properties file (startup.properties) is saved in the directory <domain-home>/servers/<server-name>/data/nodemanager.

  • What is Node Manager ?

    Hi
I have been reading documents on Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g. At lot of places 'Node Manager' is mentioned across these documents.
Please can someone explain here what is Node Manager and what it is its role in OFMW 11g ?
    Cheers
    Mayur

A Node Manager process is not associated with a specific WebLogic domain but with a machine. Node Manager process to control server instances in any WebLogic Server domain until the server instances reside on the same machine as the Node Manager process.
Node Manager is a WebLogic Server utility that enables you to start, shut down, and restart Administration Server and Managed Server instances from a remote location. Although Node Manager is optional, it is recommended if your WebLogic Server environment hosts applications with high availability requirements.
A Node Manager process is not associated with a specific WebLogic domain but with a machine. You can use the same Node Manager process to control server instances in any WebLogic Server domain, as long as the server instances reside on the same machine as the Node Manager process.

*1). Java Based Nodemanager:* This can be used in Windiows as well as UNIX based Operating systems. Java Based Node Manager is not supported on Open VMS, OS/390, AS400, UnixWare, or Tru64 UNIX.
*2). Script Based Nodemanager:* This nodemanager can be used in UNIX based operating systems. The advantage of the script-based Node Manager is that it can remotely manage servers over a network that has been configured to use SSH.
