Node not connected!

Hi,
i had installed SAP 3.5 newly.
now the problem is that i could not see data on any of the components(infosource,infoobject,source systems etc).
any suggestions?

Go to RSA1 --> Settings --> Select Display Options
Check other Display Settings and Confirm that all are correct.

Hi,
There is an issue in SEM system.All the datasources are under applicaton component 'Nodes Not Connected.When they are replicated in BI sytem, they are all under unassigned nodes.
But they should be in one application area.Please let me know if any basis setting needs to be done.

U should run tcode RSA9 in BI system.. If this does not work..
then check weather u have install relevant application component (0SEM) in BI from BI content

Bug typedef does not connect to expression node

Attached is a simple vi that tries to connect a typedef (in this case a double) to an expression node.
Since LV8 this is not allowed anymore.
We choose LabVIEW because it was possible to use it as a strict typed language. (one of the reasons).
We see that the developers go a long way to make the language so easy that it is too strict to allow typedefinitions to an expression node.
But it can also be a slip of the compiler of course.
attached are the example vi and the typedef.
please supply a patch because this makes it impossible for us to switch to LV8

A workaround is easy but should not be necessary because the typedef is used to keep it a typedef.
Simply use an explicit type conversion in this case to [DBL], at least that was my guess....
but an explicit conversion already knows there is nothing to do so it does not help.
A typecast helps but sure that is not what I want, see picture below.

Second node not accepting user connections

Hi,
I have a situation ,that due to maintenance activity, we bounced the servers, after bounce all scan, vip, listeners including rest of resources came up with no issues,
I see among the RAC- EBS nodes the connections were allowed but not from out side databases(we have DB links to pointing this DB) and other applications like SOA etc.
observed the listener log files as below., could you please review my case and advice.

UCCX 10.5 Real Time Report shows "Not Connected"

Hi,
UCCX 10.5 HA over LAN.
As per the title, RTR shows Not connected for both nodes and no data shown for all reports. all services are In service in both nodes.
Any Ideas?

Are you accessing this via the IE or FF? If so which version?
The Real time reporting on UCCX connects to the RMI port 6999 to pull the information on the Engine. If there are no port blockages or if there are no issues with the browsers, then it is a problem with the configuration files in root holding this information which needs in depth analysis.
A restart of the Engine also should help. I know that everything is IN SERVICE, but I have noticed a lot of issues on UCCX 10.5 when there are stuck calls on the system, it impacts RTR with the midnight stats reset.
The reset of the Engine is bound to clear all the stuck calls in the system and this may be a side effect of the stuck calls on the system especially if the RTR was working before you noticed the problems.

ISE 1.1.3.124 secondary node not reachable after registration

G'day All,
I'm constantly seeing that the sync and replication status for my secondary admin/monitor node in the primary node as node not reachable. The secondary still thinks it is in standalone mode. When I run the ISE diag tool connectivity tests I am able successfully ping the devices from each other using both hostname and ip and the nslookup also works fine between both nodes. Ping and nslookups also work from different networks within the environment. The two nodes are in the same vlan on a 6500 vss pair but on different switches of the pair. I'm new to ISE so any help is greatly appreciated.

I have worked through that section of the document. The registration completes successfully, I've got NTP sync on both nodes and the system time on both nodes is identical.
I am only using the self signed certificates, but following the user guide instructions I have imported the secondary's cert into the primary node.
Just as of about 30 minutes ago, I saw an alarm on the Secondary ISE node stating that a Slow or Stuck Replication has been detected...
As I said in the original post, I can ping the fqdn's from each other so it appears that the DNS requirements have been satisfied.
I've changed the admin account password, I am certain that the ISE DB passwords are correct and the same on both nodes and the timezones for both nodes is the same also....
It looks to me that registration is fine, but the first full replication isn't completing successfully

The MOF Compiler could not connect with the WMI server

I am trying to add node2 to SQL cluster (2008) However, I kept running into errors with the following error message:
"The MOF Compiler could not connect with the WMI Server. This is either because of a semantic error such as an incompatibility with the existing WMI repository or an actual error such as the failure of the WMI Server to start".
I checked on the WMI services, they are started and running.renamed the WMI repository. but nothing worked .
Any idea what settings I need to change in order to ensure a successful instalation and add node 2 to sql cluster.

Hi,
Did SQL Server failed during installation and you somehow brought services online. Or it failed and next time you executed it succeeded IMO this error pops up because of remnants of failed installation on Node 1. With cluster specially if Installation on
node 1 fails you should uninstall completely and remove all files related to SQL Server and then proceed.

Hana and data services are not connected.

Error when opening OEM: Cluster Database : OraDB.SP2-0640: Not connected

I have successfully installed 2 nodes Oracle cluster.
1. The dbconsole is started in both nodes.
I checked this with HM/bin>emctl status dbconsole
2. The agent is also started successfully in both nodes.
I checked this with HM/bin>emctl status agent
The problem is that my enterprise manager is started with error; Cluster Database : v3uat.SP2-0640: Not connected
My database is up and running because I can connect using sqlplus and toad.
Did anyone know what the problem might be?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IPad Mini connected to home network but still not connecting to internet.

Hi. I have a friend staying and she has an iPad mini. while all other Mac devises are connected to our home internet, her one will not. I have set the network details on her mini using the static ip option and get the blue tick beside our network name. However, we are still not connected to the wifi network. All our Mac devises are connected and her husband's iPad and iPhone are working fine. Help

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Strangely this error is not consistent,it goes when we refresh the screen.Please suggest me something.

Are you using 'Enable connection pooling' in your connection pool for Oracle ?
- from help "Allows a single database connection to remain open for the specified time for use by future query requests. Connection pooling saves the overhead of opening and closing a new connection for every query. If you do not select this option, each query sent to the database opens a new connection."
Maybe the database is dropping the connection before OBIEE closes it if your using this option.
Is your database or BI Server clustered ? (Rac or OBIEE Clustering)
Maybe one of the nodes cannot connect, and you get success from one and failure from another
Is your TNS Listener 'stable' ie its not dropping connections for anything else ?

i am having a system with windows xp service pack 2, having a nod 32 antivirus. i had upgraded firefox recently, the problem is i could not connect internet in user id, but firefox is connecting in administrator account. i am posting this on internet through chrome browser, please help me through this

Also worked on 10.4.11. I installed an Airport Express and updated all the software and firmware on my MacBook. After Safari, Itunes store, Google earth could not connect but Firefox was connecting fine. Followed your tip. Disableing the proxies on the Network config does the trick. Very simple but very helpful, thanks.

Can not connect to URL

Dear,
Suddenly, we could not connect to our production servers (2 nodes apps and 2 nodes RAC) and it also happened to the DEV (RAC env)
after stop and restart adopmnctl stopall and adopmnctl startall
the connection is fine now. looked at the http error logfiles, forms logfile not much error there.
Would you please suggest where can i find the error.

Ipad 3 32 GIG . IN GENERAL NETWORK NOT AVAILABLE ?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

1.The server is not connected to Internet.
SCOT settings maintained is
Default Domain ESM800
SMTP NODE settings
SAP Connect   General
Node = SMTP
Description= mailserver
Mail Host = local host
port = 25
code page = 1100
checked Internet and * in Addrr
Default Domain = esmart
RZ10 Settings.

i had checked smicm for smtp port active, it is active as well as scif..

Hi,
Your config is IMHO wrong.
You need to set smtp.googlemail.com in the SCOT settings and to remove it from icm/server_port_2.
You also need connectivity between your SAP server and smtp.googlemail.com.
There are 99% chances out of 100, that you need to open firewalls rules and/or set proxy servers.
Check that with your network team.
