Node showing up with a weird network name, not sure how to fix

Just discovered this while working with a friend on figuring out how to use Qmaster and create a cluster of nodes across our network. We are running the Controller from a G5 and have two other service nodes set up. One is a MacBook Pro and another is a G4, which is the machine in question. While submitting a batch and viewing in Batch Monitor, the G4 would show up as "daves-ipod". We could not figure out why it wasn't showing up as its network shared name which is "PowerMacG4". After searching around the G4, I discovered via Finder that this "daves-ipod" business was coming from the Network/Servers/daves-ipod area in the Finder (see the photo below) I cannot figure out how or where to change this name, or even where it came from, since neither of our names are Dave. I'm sorry if this question belongs in the Finder area of Apple Discussions...

Have you checked the network name in the sharing prefs?

When I check on the phone itself (iCloud and App Store settings) the Apple ID is correct. I'm not sure where else to check.
Whilst setting up the phone, it prompted me to register, which I did. Then when connecting to my laptop through iTunes it prompted me again so I registered again. I even got a confirmation email to the email address associated with my Apple ID that the registration was successful.
How can I add my iPhone 5s to the list of devices on the correct Apple ID?

My old computer crashed and my music is still on my Ipod but I need it to show up on Itunes and I'm not sure how?

My old computer crashed and I got a new laptop but none of my music that is still on my Ipod will show up in Itunes. I don't know how to get it to import. Whenever I select the Ipod folder through my computer to Import my data nothing shows up.

Hold down the Alt/Option-key at startup of your iMac to get the Boot Selection screen.
From that choose to boot into OSX.
Once in OSX go to System Preferences then Startup Volume and reset your OSX to be the default.
The new iMacs have OSX 10.7 Lion preinstalled and don't come with any CD/DVD anymore.
Instead OSX Lion includes a new feature called "Lion Recovery".

IPad shows error 0xE8000024 when trying to connect to I tunes. Not sure how to fix, also all I get on my ipad is the apple symbol. how can I fix this?

Top half of yahoo and msn pages to do not show, not sure how to fix

When I first open Yahoo or MSN the whole screen is there. Then it is like a shade dropping down so that only half the screen shows. I am not sure where to change the settings for this on my computer. It says something about Ads not supported by this site on the top half.

It sounds as though the ad visuals are being blocked, but the function of the page to show it is not being blocked, so you just get a blank overlay. That's not helpful, since you can't see the close button that presumably is built-in to the ad.
You have quite a few add-ons, and sometimes an extension may be responsible for removing -- or adding -- ads on a page. Could you try this:
Disable ALL nonessential and/or unrecognized extensions. If you can live without it for 24 hours or you don't know what it does for you, if in doubt, disable:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
Then restart Firefox using one of the links on a disabled extension and test again. Does it make any difference?

Weird problem with ipod...not sure how to fix

My ipod was filled to the max...like 950 songs and i couldnt fit anymore. i had it on set up mannually, but one day when i plugged it in to my computer it acted as if it was a new ipod and switched to "update automatically." Then it updated by deleting all my songs i didnt have saved onto the library before i could stop it. now ive reimported all my cds, but it will only hold 500 songs and says its full. They are all the same songs so it cant really be full. I'm not sure how to fix this. Please let me know if you know how to fix it. Thanks

3000N100- Tray-Bluetooth-icon shows red 'B' - not sure how to fix it

Could some one please help me with any pointers or links to troubleshoot the Bluetooth-tray-icon on my Lenovo 3000N100?
Currently it is showing a red "B" indicating a problem with the bluetooth. Unsure how to get it fixed/troubleshooted. Could some one please provide any tips or links or info?
I am curious to do the tech stuff, but I wanted to be a bit careful to understand what am doing is the right thing and is "reversible" .. (hope you got what I meant.); hence I did not play with it with my my half-knowledge(I think).

Thanks for responding;
1) I did that. I could see the bluetooth radio is switched on (BT light is glowing green), but when I right click on the red-BT-TrayIcon, it shows only 2 menu items enabled: "Bluetooth configuration" and "Bluetooh Device Not found";
2) On the other hand: I thought some problem with the driver and downloaded the latest BT driver from Lenovo Website-http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-66632
which is 63bt01ww.exe. The read me for that exe-> 63bt01ww.txt says to uninstall the existing driver first from AddRemove programs list, but I don't see "Lenovo Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software" in that list at all.
3) The Device manager > network Adapters don't list BT at all in any of it's child nodes (Ref test->http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-63100 > step 1.b )

I purchased Lion on the app program but that did not seem to update my software or my operating system. Curious. It showed up on my menu bar saying it was downloading then disappeared. 1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
