NodeManager does not pass PATH variable to ./bin/startWebLogic.sh script

I've been agonizing with the "uname: not found" errors reported by a few others that are attempting to start managed servers from WLST or their Admin consoles. By turning on execution tracing [set -x] I've been able to establish that the PATH environment variable that is passed to the NodeManager JVM is not being passed to the start script. When the PATCH_PATH is added to the [null] PATH, the script(s) can no longer find standard utilities. The only problem, then, is figuring out how to get the appropriate PATH variable passed in to the environment of the start script. Thoughts?

I'm sorry, I didn't see your reply. I agree that you _ can _ set the path there, but that doesn't explain why nodemanager is passing a completely empty environment, except for the values set for the managed server in question. Doesn't that seem strange?

Hello, we are using the PCI-1424 card with a Dalsa linescan camera, and are having trouble trying to do ring acquisitions with different buffer sizes. The camera either times out or always returns the number of lines that it is first set to, ie; if the original number of lines is 100, and the number of lines is then set to 1000 (and confirmed using imgGetAttribute(DisplaySid, IMG_ATTR_ACQWINDOW_HEIGHT, &nBufSize).
I've noticed that the 1424 board does not pass 2 of the diagnostic tests in MAX. The details it returns are:
Advanced Control Circuitry failed
Configuration could not be written to when Confwren bit was set. [F1.5]
Timing Circuitry failed
Counter configuration could not be loaded. [T1.0
Is this a programming error on my part? I am closing the session and the interface, which in my opinion should be all that is needed to reset the board to the default settings. This does not work, even the snap acquisition in MAX fails.

I'm not surprised at the behavior that you are seeing. When the acquisition is started the board is programmed with the acquisition size and when you change that it has to reprogram the board while it is acquiring, so either it will timeout or it just won't do it and you will only see the first size. I'm not sure why the diagnostics are failing but it sounds like you can reboot and that resolves the issue. I would recommend looking into a couple of alternatives. Variable Height Acquistion uses a hardware signal to indicate how many lines should be in an image. If you didn't have a signal you could generate one with a DAQ card or you could programmatically assert
and deassert one of the trigger lines on the 1424 but that would not be the most accurate depending on your line rate. The other alternative would be to set the image size to the largest size and then just crop the images.

When I try to install Itunes 9.2 on my XP 32bit machine, I get the error message "Itunes does not pass windows logo testing to verify CD/DVD rom drives this software will not be installed. Contact your administrator" I am the owner & my account has administrator rights. When I start itunes i get the message "Itunes was not properly installed if you wish to burn Cds you will need to reinstall itunes" Any ideas what i should do anyone?

That sounds like the GEAR drivers that iTunes uses for burning and importing aren't going in properly. (or there's damaged GEAR drivers for an old install stuck on the PC.
Perhaps manually uninstalling and reinstalling the GEAR drivers can get you past this. There's instructions for that on the GEAR wiki:

That means your screen is completely black and you can see nothing? Thats strange but you can try this workaround:
-Try removing the battery and the AC adaptor
-Wait at least one hour or one night (no battery and AC adaptor should be connected)
-Connect battery and AC adaptor again
-Try to start the notebook as usual
If the same problem occurs you should contact an authorized service provider. It seems to be a hardware problem :(

Validation "is a valid date" does not pass but Apex proceeding anyway

I have a simple date-item which I validate first against "not null", then for "is a valid date", then that the date is not in the future.
In debug mode the first validation passes, the second ( is a valid date ) does not pass, but the validation process proceeds anyway...!? Then the third validation "date not in the future" produces ad DB-Error because it is not a valid date.
Why does the validation proceed even if the validation does not pass...?

Do you mean that the third validation is firing even though the second is failing? This behaviour is correct. All validations fire (regardless of any having already failed) unless they have specific conditions set on them to make them act differently.
If you don't want the third validation to fire if the second has failed then you will need to put a condition on the 3rd validation to prevent this. Alternatively you could bundle all you validations into one of type "PL/SQL returning Error Text" then have some IF...THEN...ELSE logic in your PL/SQL to return the relevant validatoin text depending on what the problem is (i.e. Date is null, date is invalid or date is in the future).

Cisco 881 ISR IPSec VPN Tunnel does not pass traffic from the vlan.

I have a cisco 881 ISR Router with a site-to-site IPsec vpn tunnel to a mikrotik device on the other end (I inherited this from my client). The tunnel is constructed properly and is up, however traffic does not pass or get routed to the FA4 interface. I see in my packet captures that it hits the vlan1 interface (vlans are required on the L2 ports) and does not pass to the tunnel.

Hi, I have a macbook pro from 2008 and now its giving me strat up problems, it does not pass the apple logo, and when it does sometimes the screen flickers and I can't do anything else but to turn it off.

BEx Variable default value does not pass thru to Webi report

Hi,
It appears that the integration between BEx and BOBJ Webi does not support default values when the webi report is scheduled. This means that if Webi/Infoview is the delivery method, than clients require 2 reports. 1 for adhoc and 1 for scheduling. Is there another way around this so 2 reports are not required? CFLOCATION not passing URL variable

I have a simple CFLOCATION redirecting to a page with a fixed value of 15 as id
<CFLOCATION URL="http://www.MYWEBSITE.com/index.cfm?id=15">
When I hit the page locally it works fine, the receiving page can see the value of 15 in id.
However, when I run the same page on the server I get an error that the url.id does not exist
Not sure what is causing this, could it be a config issue in the CF admin?

Just after posting this I managed to find some sort of resolution to the problem, but it does concern me that this issue could be on other sites now. I found a link that suggested if a session was set and the cflocation was used all within one page then problems with variables could occur

I do have an application.cfm that sets a session, and when I hit the page the user does go right to the cflocation at the same time.
I placed an empty application.cfm into the directory so that it did not go one level up and set the session from the main application.cfm and now the variable does indeed pass through.
What I can't understand is why it works locally but not on the server
Anybody have any other input for this problem?

Data manager package log does not show Global variables!!

We are using BPC 10 sp14 Microsoft version with SQL Server 2008 R2. We are seeing an issue where datamanager package log does not show the Global variables defined in package script whereas in BPC 7.5 Global variable were visible in package log.
Please let us know is this behavior changed in BPC 10?

PI 7.1 EHP1: RFC lookup does not pass the parameter values

I am not sure if anyone came cross this issue:
This is IDOC -> PI -> File scenario
IDOC sender side, we used IDOC packaging, means in one message, we have mutiple IDOCs.
There is RFC lookup function in message mapping, it takes 8 parameters. There are four contants value and four queue passed.
We would like to call the RFC lookup for each IDOC sent.
Saying we sent 10 IDOCs, the RFC was called 10 times, this is expected behavior.
However, in 8 parameters, we miss four parameters values even we passed values

In blog, it talked about one RFC call for a mapping.
In my situation, we need to multiple times of RFC, since this is EDI scenario, some elements need to be incremented.
Previously, this RFC works without any problem. However we increased 4 parameters, for those parameter added laterly, it does not carry the value to RFC call, I tried to removed the function from ESR and re-import the RFC, but it still does not help.
I also tried to pass constant value or queue value, it all does not help.
