Noise in purchased tracks - can it be fixed?

I purchased an album a short while ago from the iTunes store, my first purchase. I'm happy with the convenience.
However, I'm not happy with the quality of two of the tracks. Most of the album is fine, but there is some bad noise starting towards the end of track 2 and continues through approximately the first two minutes of track 3. It's not that loud, but is very annoying -- repeated clicking and popping noises.
(The album in question is Michael Card's _The Way of Wisdom_.)
Is there a support email/webpage with Apple I can report this kind of problem? I'd like to get fixed versions of these tracks if possible.

Sorry, but you can't fix that kind of issue yourself - contact iTMS CS through http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/songs/ and asked for a re-download; it might take approx 14 days for a correct track to become available.

    Very strange behavior.  Don't entirely give up on the "Manually Added Items" category ... I have seen things magically appear there even after I've checked and seen nothing there.  I think things got real quirky when Apple released iCloud ... I don't remember extra copies of purchases lingering on my iPhone once transferred to my library before that.  Sure, if I bought an album directly to my iPhone it would stay on there even after I sync to my library, but if I deleted the album from the iPhone it stayed deleted.  Now it seems that there are some phantom copies that come and go with no explanation.

    If you're re-downloading an album to iTunes and your iPhone, that may perpetuate the problem.  What happens if you completely delete every copy of the album, then just download to your iTunes library and then sync the album to your iPhone from your library?  That should put only one copy on your iPhone.
    A few other things to try:
    1- Completely sign out of your Apple account on your iPhone, then re-sync to iTunes, then sign into your account on your iPhone again.  Maybe throw in a Reset or at least a power OFF/ON somewhere in the middle.
    2- Go to Settings/ General/ Usage, then select Music and when you see All Music, swipe your finger across it and tap the Delete button.  Before doing anything else, Reset your iPhone.  This does not actually delete your music, but seems to clear up some cobwebs left behind (people use this technique to reduce "Other" that swells up over time).

    My iTunes purchased track "Cay's Cray's (Artificial Intelligence Remix)" has an additional 15 seconds of silence that I believe is not found in the retail version, and I think this may affect the flow of my playlists and mixes.
    How might this be fixed or compensated for using available iTunes or Windows tools, as I am unfamiliar with editing rights-managed AAC files?

    Your options are limited.
    Without editing the file, you might find the Start/Stop Time feature in iTunes helpful - right-click the track > Get Info > Options tab and set the appropriate times.
    If you want to actually edit it, you may find b noir's User Tip helpful but only after you have the file in a more "editing-friendly" format . Note that the song will lose audio fidelity in each of the various conversion steps it goes through.
    Finally, if you think the 15 seconds of silence is there by mistake, you can report it to Apple by looking at the A purchased song sounds bad section of this Support page .

    If for some reason you failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you can redownlaod some itunes content in some countries:

    You got ripped off. You bought a hacked/jailbroken phone. That's what error 1015 means. Return it and get your money back if possible and buy a phone from a legitimate source.
    Discussing jailbroken / hacked phones is forbidden by the terms of service. Jailbreaking / hacking voids any warranty and forfeits your right to support here or from Apple. You can not get help here.

    I did some searching here in the forums about this, and I think i found an answer that would be useful to you. I apologize to the original poster, as I am not going to cite his name, but here is what he said:
    "The process of compression to MP3 or AAC adds a blank space to the beginning or end of the file itself. This is sometimes called "encoder gap". If this encoder gap is not accounted for, then combining two compressed files together (even if they're at the same bitrate and such) will still leave a tiny audible gap in the file.
    iTunes does not have any support for true gapless playback, and so it would be unable to correct for that encoder gap. Even if it did understand gapless, combining the streams like that is problematic for many other reasons. The only real way to do it is to re-encode them both, which causes a quality loss, so it's a bad idea to begin with.
    Whereas joining CD tracks is mainly a matter of ripping them together into one track, which is easy because a "track" is just a marker, it's not an actual change in the datastream.
    Suffice it to say that there are technical reasons behind it, and the overriding reason is iTunes lack of proper gapless support."

    while you are with the person selling it to you, ask if you can do a complete restore of the software settings->general->reset->reset all
    reboot the phone to factory settings and see if that fixes the problem.  if not, i wouldn't buy it unless they are selling it to you for less than $50.  wifi is crucial for keeping data low and using features like facetime

    No need to apologize, I actually found the phrase "If your iPad ever craps the bed" amusing under the circumstances
    I checked the list of installed apps like you suggested (Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Show all apps) but this problem app is not in the list. I have also swiped down on the home screen to search for it, but again it does not show.
    While it has not let me download the app (and I just tried it again) it has helped me to eliminate a few things from the list of what to try, and I can definitely conclude that it has not downloaded.
    I guess I need to fire up my PC and download it / sync my iPad.
