Noise on call

Hello, it is my first post so welcome everybody :-)
I have a problem with my Nokia N97 mini, when I call there is quite loud noise, a sort of beeping. On the screen there is a volume icon showing but I cannot switch ot off. I hope I am clear about my problem :-)
Any advice, what that could be???

Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
Try to restore the factory settings of your phone, this reset will not delete any data saved on your phone but any personalization you've made will restore back to default. Go to Menu > Settings> Phone > Phone Management > Factory Settings, if prompted for a lock code, enter 12345 unless you changed it.
If in case that will not work, use Nokia Suite to check if there's software update available for your phone. You may refer on this link: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/belle-asha-symbian-software-update/ if you need a guide. If there's no software update available, try to re-install it's software.

Signal-noise while calling

Hi,
I have the problem, that i can hear the signal noise between iPhone and transmitting pole (the noise that you can hear when you get to close to a loudspeaker with your mobile phone). I can hear the noise all the time when i'm doing a phone call.
The guy at the support hotline was asking if this problem is already known and then he told me that this is normal für the iPhone 4 and he said that my hearing seems to be good, because i can hear the noise o.O
I tested iPhone 4 and iPhone 3gs at the same time and in the 3gs there was nothing to hear.
Does anybody else have this problem?

Hey guys, same thing with my iphone 4..
signal noise while calling while not having a 3G connection.. (and sometimes even when the call ended, the ear speaker is still buzzing)
Anyways; if it's a software issue: 8 sept. maybe fixed in the expected update or wait till the 30th, when (as rumors go) a new iphone 4 will ship; without antenna issues..
By the way; are we the only ones having this problem? Or are we the only ones noticing it? Anyone tested it with iphone-4-friends?

Mic is too sensitive, calls constantly cut out. People tell me y loud, and it sounds like I'm in a tunnel. Any background noise, and call is completely cutting out. This occurs all the time, but more so using earphones with in cord mic.

I never had this problem with my old iphone4. Has anyone experienced this, and is there a setting that can correct this problem?

Same problem for me. So bad in fact that I can't really use my headphones for calls. I have tried it with several sets of headphones. My primary are the Bang and Olufsen headphones which were great with the previous iphone 4 and 3.
Apple please address this issue.

Static noises when calling normal?

i have been experiencing static noises when making phone calls. im the only one who can hear them and not the person im calling.(already confirmed myself.) is the at&t service or is the iphone defected. i hear the static through the normal earpiece at the top(not headset) and in speaker mode. thanks.

Mine does it too. Has nothing to do whatsoever with at&t. None of my other phones do this.
I have a hiss sound I can hear in my earpiece that kind of overlays each word I speak.
I have posted 2 other threads here and only Allan Sampson has responded and understood what I was describing.
The information I have gathered online points to the fact that all NON 3 G phones have a poor sound quality compared to a 3G phone of any make.
Or maybe some of us just have bad ear piece speakers. If so chalk this iPhone up as bad returned iPhone #5.

Has anyone ever had someone complain of an interference noise during call?

When I'm talking on my phone, my sister and husband have heard an annoying sound. They say it doesn't happen all the time though. I don't hear the noise. I took off the case and it is still happening. I'm getting very frustrated!

I've read of some knowledgable users being able to string these scammers, who are probably mostly low-rent phone dialers with a script to follow, along for ten or fifteen minutes by asking all sorts of naive questions. Other party complain about crackling noise in call

Had my Z2 for a little over a week now and in 3 different calls I've had the person on the other side complaining that my voice crackles, cuts out for a small while every few seconds and makes a "robotic" sound, hard to describe they say.
It only happens when I use the phone normally, seems to disappear when I turn over to speaker phone or headset
Should I return the phone to my service provider or is this something that is present on all phones?

Noise in call over GRE Multipoint tunnel

Hi all,
we have a setup connecting home office to head office over GRE tunnel.
we connected ip phone at Home office side which gets registered to call manager at head office, data traffic is fine but when we call head office to home office or vice versa, we are getting noise in the call heared at head office side , when i did mute the home office phone i am not hearing the noise.
i doubt the voice traffic getting effeted over tunnel.but unable to troubleshoot, please can anyone help me....
the call flow is like
IP phoen 1----->cucm----->gateway------>wan------->home office router--------->ip phone 2

Loud, Random White Noise during call

Hello all
When I am making a video call with someone, an extremely loud sound of white noise occurs during the call.
It occurs on my side only, and the other person cannot hear the sound. It does not matter if I initiated the call or not. It also happens at random times and with or without video. Just all of a sudden, I will get an extremely loud noise...like television static.
I am at my wits' end because this has been happening for the past 2 weeks for every call I make.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I am struggling with this issue for quite a while now, I was wondering whether there is any solution as of now. I have seen this problem with several notebooks (One Lenovo, one Dell, one MacBook Pro, two Vaio's). It's been an issue under MacOS, Windows and Linux alike. The only (very temporary) fix is muting my machine and resetting. Is there any solution as of yet? Is there anything I can do besides use an earpiece? I'd like to be able to use my notebook mic and speakers , since that's what they were designed for. (Other VoIP software works without the white noise issues, so I am pretty sure it's not a hardware problem)

"Fedback" noise in caller's ear when I answer.

I have a Blackberry 8330 with Verizon and it's current OS is 4.5.0.77. I have the dreaded "speaker blast" every time I answer a call.
I logged onto Verizon's website and downloaded the 4.5.0.138 update and while it corrected the "speaker blast" issue, it created another. Several callers have complained of an ear-piercing "microphone feedback" type noise in their ear when I answer their call.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 4.5.0.138 update to no avail. I'm presently back to using 4.5.0.77.
Can anyone tell me if they've noticed anything similar and what you've done to correct it?

ok, I would recommend you upgrade the device to the 4.5.0.175 OS, the latest most recent OS for the 8330

Strange noise by calls

Hello, i have my iphone since 4 days and now i realize that when im calling someone i hear a strange noise in my speaker, just similar when your phone is to near to the normal speakers... can someone help me with this issue?? greetings!

C3 is making a loud crackling noise to caller

Strange Noises When Calling

Lately i have been getting weird like alien scratching noises (thats the best i know how to describe it) when i call people sometimes. Its like a screeching noise that continues. I don't know if it is my iPhone or what. Im just curious if anyone else has had these problems or something similar?

I've experienced the exact same thing several times during the past week. I make a call and I hear ringing. Then it goes into screech mode. It doesn't stop. In one instance, I tried repeating the call several times with the same result. Is it the phone or is it AT&T?

Problem with noise and call dropping

Ever since I got the new BT Internet infinity I've seem to be having problems with my telephone line.
At times I can hear feedback when I'm on the phone, at times I can hear myself talk back or I can hear a buzzing sound. Also now my phone doesn't seem to ring and if they do after one ring it will show the phone is connected when nobody has picked up the handset. It drops after one ring, The caller display doesn't work, I have two telephones one upstairs and downstairs having the same problem, the upstairs telephone the ring isn't consistent and both phones are out of sync
Not sure what is going on here and I'm sure that there isn't anything wrong at my side of things
I was told that an engineer needs to be booked and if there are any problems found inside the house I would be charged 99Pounds? For starters your own person came to install the equipment ever since then I've been having this issue.
Would like to know if this has happened to anyone and what they did ?

they advise all callers that as some faults are the users equipment or internal wiring you problem sound like one that would be no charge BT only charge if the fault is found after the Master socket

N8 mic noise - both calls&video

Hi,
I've got a problem with my N8. The microphone(s) records fizz both during phone calls and recording video. I've tried flashing latest SW, but it seems to be HW problem, as no SW change has helped since now.
I dont know whether "fizz" is the most suitable word, so check it out in this video:

mine Just started doing the same, Just like that, No drop, No water. Then this Nokia phone is probably not made on good quality. I wonder if this expensive devices are fabricated to last one year of guaranty. It would not be good for Nokia, at this time, something like this in hands of the public. Bad quality products. I hope that I can take this to Nokia and that then can fix it for Me. . . Other wise I am making a couple of many angry videos about this issue. I am part of the video and picture Comunity of Nokia and everyone will know about this hard ware issue on Nokia N8 AFTER ONE YEAR OF USAGE. Buzzing Noise durring calls!

Hello, I bought a iphone 4 about three weeks ago. Last night I went on to call my friend and there was a buzzing in the background. I could hear her but she could only hear the buzz. When I am on speaker phone, i can hear the caller and she can hear me perfectly. Any Ideas?

May be a defective speaker -- torn speaker diaphram or some mechanical interference with the diaphram movement.
