Noise output when I scroll or press pause in Quicktime

Whenever I press pause while playing a quicktime video, an annoying buzzing noise plays. Same thing happens when I grab the scroll bar or fast forward. It happens from Internet Explorer and also when playing direct from disk. Any solutions?

I have the same problem with my home button. After letting my iphone 5 sit for a little while it seems like the home button catches something or makes a gritty clicking noise when pushing it. I noticed this a few days ago and I'm debating on whether I should go to the apple store as to it is 30 min away from my house. Did you have any luck going to the apple store for your home button? After pressing the button after it has sat for some time it seems to go back to normal and because of that in afraid the apple people will say there's no problem because its usually only the first 5 or so clicks that you can tell something's wrong. I would say the best words to describe the problem is a gritty almost double clicking sound when the home button is pressed after sitting and especially if its cold. Any replies would be appreciated thanks!

  • My MacBook Pro keeps on randomly scrolling on webpages, putting several spaces when I don't press the spacebar and only sometimes makes a space when I press the spacebar. Why is it doing this? Do I have a virus?

    I am currently struggling to write this due to my very erratic spacebar. When I press it, it only creates a space about two thirds of the time. When I don't press it, it creates spaces, often several, in the middle of words.  This is incredibly annoying and time consuming when writing. If I'm on iTunes or DVD player, it means the media is constantly stopping and starting.
    When I am on webpages they will often scroll straight to the bottom, and when I try to scroll back up it won't allow me to and the screen will look like it's jumping, like my instruction for it to scroll up is fighting against an external instruction forcing it down. This 'fighting' effect is also seen with the spacebar issue when it makes several spaces and I press backspace to try and delete the spaces.
    I have a MacBook Pro bought in July 2012 using Mac OS X 10.7.5. I use ESET Cybersecurity, which hasn't identified any viruses. I have deleted all internet downloads that aren't from well-known websites, yet the problem persists. It has been happening on and off for about a week, during which time I have turned the computer on and off many times, though today it has been far worse than before. I am worried I have a virus, though can't seem to locate one.
    Please, if you can shed any light on the situation, please do! I'm not a techy person at all, so there may be a very obvious reason and solution for this, in which case I apologise for this waste of time. Still, any help would be very very appreciated, thank you!

  • My iMac 2010 27" makes low noises EXCEPT when scrolling with my magic mouse.

    It's like a low static electric noise but it stops when I scroll webpages and such with my magic mouse.

    It's coming from inside the iMac and turning down/mute-ing doesn't change it and neither does it stop when I plug in headphones. It doesn't stop when I turn off the built in monitor.
    The batteries are ok and no phone around. The sound is not like an interference sound. It's more like the sound the harddrive makes except not as loud and higher pitch (i guess).
    The sound has been for a while. More than a month but not since I bought it.
    Thanks for your reply!

  • Revision: How to make tab control stop on a specific page upon pressing Pause?

    I have a scrolling tab which scrolls through the tab pages until the user presses Pause. That works. Now I want the tab control to stop on a specific page once the user presses Pause. How to do this?

    Well, hopefully I can give a simpler explanation of my project. There is a tab control (right now of 3 pages). I have written code which flips (scrolls) through the pages, one page per second approx. There is also a Pause button. When the user presses it, the scrolling of pages stops and whatever page is shown at the time of Pausing is the page that is viewable. So that could be page 1, 2, or 3 given when the Pause button was pressed.
    But now, I would like to implement the feature that when the Pause button is pressed the tab control, through coding, has no choice but to show Page 1 (for example) or whichever page I restrict it to.
    Actually I think I've got a idea now after typing this out, but your suggestions are very welcome!
    I've attached screenshots of my code to this reply. The first two show Case States in my code (scrolling, not scrolling) and the 3rd isof the Front Panel and the tab panel itself.

  • Can i make a button change anchor link when you scroll down the site?

    I am trying to make a scroll site.. and i have navigation buttons on the right, a full menu, but also a "1 topic up" button and "1 topic down" button.
    Is there any way that i can have those buttons change anchor link when you scroll down the site.
    Example:
    I am at home, then i press "1 topic down" and gets scrolled to the next topic on the website, but then i cant make the button change to link to the anchor below that, so the button becomes useless after that 1 press.
    Is that in any way possible in Muse to make it change link?

    Hi
    You can try to create different buttons on page positions where down scrolling will be active with separate button actions. For example you click on "I topic down" , page scrolls and there is another button placed with "Next Topic down" , on click this would scroll the page more and similarly along the length of page.
    Button with anchor link scrolling down the page cannot be used for different anchor links, creating different buttons with anchors is the solution.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • Pressing "Pause" twice causes my Shuffle to move to the next song.

    When I am listening to a specific song on my iPod Shuffle, (Thank You For The Venom-My Chemical Romance) which I purchased today via the iTunes Music Store, I press "Pause" and it pauses correctly but when I try to resume play, it switches to the next song in the queue. None of my other songs have this problem, just this one that I purchased today. Also, when I try to press and hold Rewind/Fast Foward, instead of skipping ahead within the song, it automatically Fast Fowards to the next track without opportunity for any movement within the song. Thanks in advance for your help and sorry for my ignorance.

    It depends on the iPod shuffle model...  Assuming your shuffle is the 4th gen (or 3rd gen) model, do you use automatic syncing or the manual method (drag and drop song on iPod in iTunes)?
    This document shows the four shuffle models, and provides general info about loading content on shuffles

  • Visual Studio 2012 - Source Not Available After Pressing Pause While Debugging

    Hi,
    In Visual Studio 2008, when we'd open a dialog in our application (Native C++, 64-bit) and pressed 'Pause', the debugger would automatically go to the location of the dialog in the code and the call stack would show the series of calls to arrive
    at the current position.
    Now that we've upgraded to Visual Studio 2012, this functionality is lost.  When we press 'Pause', a 'Source Not Available' tab will appear.  The call stack shows the following:
    ntdll.dll!ZwWaitForSingleObject()
    KernalBase.dll!WaitForSingleObjectEx()
    <several lines of nvoglv64.dll>
    kernel32.dll!BaseThreadInitThunk()
    ntdll.dll!RtlUserThreadStart()
    At first we thought it was a symbol issue since none of the Windows-related dlls had pdbs. None of our workstations are connected to the Internet so I used symchk to download all the required symbols.  Despite all of the symbols now being loaded, the
    debugger still doesn't show the actual call stack into our code.
    Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be set? Or are we out of luck since our machines are never online?
    Any thoughts are apprecated.
    Thanks.
    Visual Studio Premium 2012 (11.0.60610.01 Update 3)

    Hi,
    Welcome to MSDN.

    of the dialog in the code and the call stack would show the series of calls to arrive at the current position.

    kernel32.dll!BaseThreadInitThunk()
    ntdll.dll!RtlUserThreadStart()
    According to these words above, do you mean clicking “Break All” as following image?
    The error means that our project does not contain source code for the code that we are trying to view, you could refer to
    this link for more information.
    In order to solve this issue, you could debug it in another machine which can download symbols form Symbol Servers, then copy that
    symbols to your machine to test.
    You could change the Symbols setting of the Visual Studio of the other machine as following image:
    Then copy the symbols in that directory to your machine, and change the Symbols settings to your local directory to test.

  • Popping noise added when rapid firing

    Hello, I've written a sound player class using Clip and SourceDataLine from the javax.sound.sampled package, in J2SE.
    My goal is to produce a sound when a button is pressed.
    However, if the button is clicked and held, the action and sound will rapid fire.
    If the button is clicked once everything is fine. When clicked and held, for rapid fire, the audio sounds like hell with popping and clicking noises added in.
    I thought it might be caused by AudioInputStream being opened and closed in SoundDataLine. So I wrote a Clip interface to cache the whole thing in RAM. Still no love.
    I've been playing with the entire API since Saturday and I'm at my wits end. Any suggestions. Am I using the wrong API entirely? My box is a Pentium 4, Windows XP.
    Thanks in advance, Ray

    I had the same problem in a different scenario. Heres a simple solution, create 5 seperate instances of the clip, and play each one seperatly per click. So if they hold it down, it cycles thru an array of clips all containing the same sound. By the time it plays the 5th clip, you can play the 1st one in the array and it would already be finished if it was a short clip, and even if it was a long clip, the poping should be gone. This way it will play the sounds together instead of triggering the same one over and over so quickly.
    It's more memory consumptous, but its fast.

    Hi,
    Kindly create a new layer, via the Layers panel:
    Then, right click on the navigation bar, and choose Move to Layer > Layer 2
    Ensure that Layer 2 is on top of the other layers.
    Hope it helps,

  • Process.Start - getting different output when running command using this method than I am if I run same command in CMD prompt

    Hi
    Creating an application to analyze .dmp files - all working well except this odd issue
    If I open command prompt and enter this command:-
    kd -z C:\Windows\MiniDump\042414-24632-01.dmp -c "!analyze -v"
    Then it works and shows me all the output I need (shown at bottom of post)
    If I run same command in VB.net using following code - then it doesn't give the same output - the bits I need at the end created by the !analyze -v switch don't appear
    Any ideas why it is not seeing the switch correctly - setting a breakpoint and checking contents of startinfo seems to be showing correct cmd line i.e. "kd -z C:\windows\minidump\042414-24632-01.dmp -c "!analyze –v;q""

    myprocess.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = True
    myprocess.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = True

    Try it by opening the Cmd prompt as the actual process and passing the Filename and its arguments as the arguments of the Cmd process.  If you notice there is a "-C" before the Filename and Arguments in this example.  The "-C"
    tells the cmd to execute the commands and then close itself.  You can also use a "-K" which tells the cmd to execute the commands and keep itself open.  Being you are not showing the cmd window you don`t want to keep it opened because the
    user can`t close it so, that is why i used "-C".
     I don`t have the program so, you can just experiment to see what it does.  Maybe you should try using "-K" and show the cmd window by commenting out the CreateNoWindow line so you can see what is in the cmd window while testing.

    Dim p As New Process
    With p.StartInfo
    .FileName = "cmd.exe"
    .Arguments = "-c " & filepath & args
    .UseShellExecute = False
    .CreateNoWindow = True
    .RedirectStandardOutput = True
    End With
    p.Start()
    TextBox1.Text = p.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd
    End Sub
    If you say it can`t be done then i`ll try it
