NOISE WHILE PRINTING (SPRING/METAL ALIKE SOUND)

HI,
WE ARE USING AN HP OFFICEJET 6500A PLUS PRINTER, IT'S BEEN 2 WEEKS NOW SINCE THE IRRITABLE SOUND STARTED.
IT IS A LOUD SPRING LIKE SOUND WHEN PRINTING. I TRIED CLEANING AND ALIGNING BUT DID NOT WORK. I HAVE CHECK PAPER JAM PROCEDURE ALSO BUT STILL FAILED. I TRIED MOVING THE CARTRIDGE MANUALLY, IT IS NOT MOVING.
I OPENED THE PRINTER AND CHECK WHAT IS THAT SOUND, THERE IS SPRING JUST AT THE BACK OF THE CARTRIDGE I TRIED MOVING IT, IT IS THE SIMILAR SOUND THAT IS COMING PUT WHEN PRINTING.
WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP THIS ANNOYING SOUND?
THERE IS A NOISE WHEN ORINTING, IT WILL SUDDENLY STOP AND A PAPER JAM ON THE SCREEN WILL APPEAR, EVERYTIME WILL CHECK THE PAPER JAM BUT EMPTY. NO PAPER JAM HAPPENING ON THE PRINTER.

    Hi,
Check first if the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet.
Check if the carriage is moving freely and there is no obstructions inside the unit.
    Clean the paper rollers once.
See if doing these helps you
    Thanks

  • Photosmart C6280 Grinding Noise while printing

    Hello everyone,
Own a HP Photosmart C6280 printer. It jammed once but after unjamming the printer has been making a grinding noise (metal-on-metal) whenever I start to print. On occassion it goes away but comes back quickly.
Is there some alignment problem with some of the shafts, gears, etc in the printer that can be easily fixed, or will it require a trip to the shop?
    Appreciate the help!

    HI there,
The printer may require servicing however first we can use this article that covers paper jams to inspect the various points that could cause the sounde. Check the gears and rollers to ensure there are no debris and that they are clean. Let us know if it helps.
    Best of Luck!

  • Scratching noise while using usb and internal sound simultaneous

    Hey,
I am using a new usb soundcard and my inernal sound, to
work with virtual dj. I played one song on the card and wanted
to listen to the other using my headphones. Everytime I use both
at the same time, I have a really loud scratching noise.
Also if I am not using the external soundcard.
Its working on my friends mac.
    please help :/
    kind regards
    Phillipe

The problem is the same with AC adapter plugged in or without it.
It's quite complicated to check the screws now - they are closed with the special stickers of the service center, if i'll remove those stickers i think the warranty terms will be violated and the warranty will dissapear.
If there would be some way to check serial number of the motherboard was installed first i could come to those guys with this information and ask to open the cover together with me and to check the numbers if they are the same.
I agree, maybe i should give it to another service, there are 2 different official services in my city. I just think it is a bit wront to simply let go that 1.5 months i could not use the item i've paid for about 1000 usd and nothing was done at all.

  • Strange Clicking noise while starting Mac Book Pro Retina Display Late 2013

Hello i´m very concerned about a clicking noise while starting  my mac, the sound comes from the left side, is the SSD producing  this noise ?, this machines are supposed to be very silent right? what do i do? how can claim a replacement?

I too think it is related to body chemistry reacting with the metal or some other environmental condition. Sometimes I have fairly sewaty hands and I have corrosion on the edge of my top case. I don't really care about it. Its a tool and tools wear.
I was told by an engineer that it is referred to as "rusty hands". I'm not sure if its high alkaline or acid, but the engineer told me I had rusty hands after I had been using a drill press for a couple of days. There was rust all over the chuck, and other parts of the drill where I had touched it.

  • What keeps making the cyclical noise while in sleep.  Sounds like iMac is loading a graphic or different screen.

What keeps making the cyclical noise while in sleep?  Sounds like iMac is loading a graphic or different screen.  Does it periodically while in sleep mode.  How do I correct this?  Just started doing it in the last few months.

I finally figured out how to fix this.  First I reviewed "Mac OS X: Why your Mac might not sleep of stay in sleep mode."  I noted the bullet:  "Do you have any other external USB or Firewire devices connected?"  I have an CP685AVR for a UPS for my Mac.  I replaced the battery a few months ago.  I also hooked up Apple's 'Energy Saver' power management software to the CP685AVR using the USB connection.  I disconnected it, and that solved the problem.  I still have the UPS and battery back-up; I just can't "monitor" the battery.  What's to monitor?  It always said the battery was 100% charged even right up to the time the previous battery failed.  Thanks for listening, uh... reading.

  • Printer making noise when printing

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless A909g all in one printer. Running on Windows 7 64-bit
I have started to notice a noise being made by my printer when the print head is moving. Either while printing or when the printhead is being cleaned. It sounds like picking at guitar strings.   When I check the status of my printer, it shows that everything is ok. I ran the HP diagnostic tool and it also showed that everything is working fine.  I checked the printhead health, and it showed that one was exellent and one was ok.
I have not been able to find any similar issues on the support forum or the HP site.

How long have you been using the printer? the printhead may be wearing out... as long as it still prints , its ok. YOu may need to replace the printhead in the future.

  • Loud noise when printing

print quality good but loud noise when printing. do printers need "oiling"?

    Hello @mikeed,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that your 7500A is being rather noisy.
    I would like to help.
Unfortunately, there is not way to 'grease up' the printers gears.
If the noise goes away when the product is on, and disconnected from the computer, there might be a connectivity problem. Use the following steps to isolate a connectivity issue with the computer.
    Shut down the computer.
    Turn off the product.
Disconnect the USB cable from the product.
    Wait 30 seconds.
    Turn on the product.
    Print a self test report
    Turn off the product.
Connect the product to a USB port on the computer.
    Turn on the computer.
After the computer finishes booting up, turn on the product.
If you still hear the sound, connect the product to a different USB port on the computer. Check the functionality of the product.
If you still hear the sound, connect the product to a new computer.
Check the functionality of the product.
If the sound continues and the product functions normally, the sound is a normal sound.
When the product prints, the rollers, gears, paper feed, and carriage makes noise.
When you print in the Fast or Draft modes, the product makes more noise than when you print in the Best or Normal modes.
    Check the following:
If the product did not print successfully, check for a paper jam.
Check that the product supports the paper you loaded.
Make sure the paper is loaded correctly, the trays are extended, and the paper guides are adjusted properly.
You can also try the following.
Remove and reinsert the cartridges to make sure that they are correctly installed in the unit.
    Perform a hard reset.
While teh printer is powered on, unplug the printers power cord.
    Wait at least 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the printer.

  • 1018"an unknown error occurred while printing"

    HP1018
    Windows 7 64-bit
Print test works ok, prints from OpenOffice and some other applications.
However, from Adobe Reader X 10.1.6 nothing happens after clicking on the print dialog button. I have also tried "Print as Image," and there is no response from that either.
Firefox 18.02 returned "Printer Error: An unknown error occurred while printing."
I have also updated the driver to "lj1018_1020_1022-HB-pnp-win64-en.exe" which installed identifying itself as a "1020 Series".
That install appeared to install correctly, and the above applications which _could_ print before can still print ok, but the same problem occurs with Adobe Reader X 10.1.6, with not repsonse after successfully using print dialog, both regular and "print as image", and same error, "Printer Error: An unknown error occurred while printing," is returned from Firefox 19.0
    Barry

It sounds like there's a compatibility problem.  You might try a different reader.  Here's a link to a PDF reader that is similar to Adobe.  Click Here  You might try another browser such as Chrome.

  • Metallic scraping sound when booting Mac mini

    Hi,
I just bought a Mac mini last week, and I've noticed that when I start it up, there's a sequence of two metallic scraping sounds coming out it when I start it up. I'm guessing that it's some part of the optical drive mechanism checking to see if a disc is inserted (there isn't a disc in the drive), but the noise is much louder than I've experienced when booting any other Mac or Windows machine that I've used. Is this normal, or is this something that needs investigation? If it matters, I have Boot Camp installed, so Snow Leopard is on one partition of the hard drive, and Windows Vista is on the other. The sound occurs regardless of which partition is set to be the boot partition.
    Thanks,
    Ken

    Hi,
Thanks for the info. I confirmed at one of the Apple Stores near me that the sound is exactly as you described it. I agree with you, this is the noisiest optical drive that I've ever heard, significantly louder than the sound that an empty floppy drive makes when booting a Windows machine.
    Thanks again,
    Ken

  • Is there a way to eliminate or reduce wind noise while retaining voice?

Is there a filter/effect that will reduce wind noise while retaining voice reception?

    Mickey Oksner wrote:

    HI -
Are you talking about general wind noise as in "Wind in the Background" or are you referring to wind which is directly hitting the microphone capsule and thus causing extreme plosives and distortion.
In latter scenario, there is nothing that you can do aside from 'living with it' or record it again.
The first scenario; one can use a either an advanced denoiser which will literally remove the noise from the audio signal. In the case of wind, this would probably remove lots of the vocal too and cause unwanted side effects.  I myself would use a gate (AKA Noise Gate) or expander effect. The gate sets a threshold @ which it literally opens and lets the audio signal pass thru'. One would set that threshold to open when the person is talking. And close when he is not. In most cases the wind will be a little quieter in level than the speech (If the material has been recorded correctly).
There are numerous of cheap and perfect functioning gates available as audio units.
Perhaps you can find some free, perhaps not.
If @ one point you want to get something which is really good and highly intuitive, I suggest you look into the FabFilter company.
They make great audio products @ a very fair rate and are the most intuitive you can find. But try the free ones first.

Removing noise is about the most nasty and difficult thing, I as an audio engineer can think of. So don't expect this to be easy if it has to sound great ;-)

  • Crackling noise while record

I just got a new X-Fi sound card and when I try to record with it I get a crackling noise while recording BUT plays great, when its recording I get the nose and as soon I stop the recording the crackling noise stops, I did have a sound blaster li've 5. and I never had this prob with it's? dose anyone have a clue to what would cause this?
Now I did just do a major computer up grade:
    AMD 64 3500 2.2 Ghz
    ATI 52MB video
    Gig of ram
    300 Gig HD
    ECS K8T890-A Mother board
    Soundblaster X-FI Xtreme

I just found out, that the crackles only occur when I record something using the windows audio driver while/after an application is/was opened that uses the ASIO driver. The crackles do not occur if I record something inside the ASIO application.
I hope you understand what I mean.

  • Mac Mini emitting beep-like noises while switched on

    Hi all,
I have a late 2011 Mac Mini which has been working fine until today.
Today, it started emitting really annoying beep like noises while switched on. The Mac Mini functions as usual, safe for the really loud, really annoying beeping noises, which seem pretty much to occur randomly, and sound pretty random too (as opposed to steady system warning beeps).
I also opened the Mac-Mini hatch, checked the RAM was connected properly, and removed dust/fluff, but the beeping still happens.
I ran the Apple Diagnostic and also checked the Disk using disk utility, but got no errors, and I can't seem to find anyone who has had a similar issue on the net.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

Mine did that and it took me to Apple Support page identifying what was going on.

  • Noise while using Miroslav Philharmonik

    Hi There
Anyone know why i might be experiencing crackling noise while using miroslav? it is somewhat improved by freezing tracks, but this is obviously not a longterm solution.....
    thanks
    Grabbin'

    Hi Bill
I received this excellent reply from IK:
My name is Paul Hudson, I am the Support Manager with IK Multimedia. I was sent over your ticket for testing and I believe I see what the troubles is. You mention that you are only using 1 sound per instance of Miroslav and in that session you sent us, thanks by the way!, I was able to see that for certain. Using multiple instances in this way is more taxing on the CPU, as you are loading multiple reverbs inside of Miroslav, as each instance defaults with the CSR Hall reverb on in the Send FX.
To setup Miroslav using just the one instance and then multiple sounds inside it, all you need to do is create a new session and go to inset a New track. Select the Software Instrument track and then check the box next to the quantity of tracks, that says 'multi-timbral'. With this checked, create the track and click on the Input of that track and insert Miroslav. Now upon creation of the track, you will see 17 total tracks. This is the main instance of Miroslav and 16 MIDI channels. As you click down on each track, you will notice in the Inspector window that the MIDI channel changes. So within Miroslav now, click on the first Part (which is the 1st MIDI channel) and insert your sound. Now click down to Part 2 (which is MIDI Channel 2) and insert your new sound. Click down to the 2nd MIDI track in Logic, and hit your keys. You should hear the second sound. Click back to the first track, you should hear the first sound!
In this setup, please run the sounds through Miroslav and everything should sound lovely!
