I can make calls with Nokia 1110i with its keypad locked.

Id just like to add that ive had my N80 for 3 weeks now, and 3rd day of using it, my N80 did the same thing, made ghost calls.
It must have used about a minute or 2s worth of calls.
I was actually on a stage doing a mobile disco, getting up and down off the stage, when i noticed id received a message from a friend, but also the log had said i called them also.
The phone was set to locked, ie press the power button, and enter your sec code to unlock phone before it can be used.
How it had done it i dont know, but maybe it was because id recieved a message, it decided to call that person.
it did it at least on 2 occassions while the phone was in my pocket, although it hasnt done it since.
I also dont use a leather or plastic case of any kind.
Im using firmware for n80 on H3g uk.

so in my case, very strange. I could have understood it if the slidy lock was just enabled, but the full lock was on, when my ghost call happened.

Hello - I have gotten a used Iphone 2G phone. There is firmware installed into it and I am currently on t-mobile. The phone is unlocked. I have my t-mobile sim card in the phone....and I can dial out, and receive calls and (text messages) and that is about it. When I make a call it says 'non emergency calls only" but I can still dial out. from what I was told (from a local wireless company) the phone just can't get past the activation so if I can get past that it will work...please help me if at all possible. and will be more then happy to provide additional details with the issue....thank you in advance!

The phone was purchased unlocked (paid high price). But I guess there is a chance I got ripped off... If so, why does it work with different carriers in Sweden with different SIM cards?

Making a VoIP call with the Cisco 837 ADSL router

I would greatly appreciate if could please provide some technical assistance to my questions below:
Is it possible to make a VoIP call between two 837 ADSL Cisco routers over a 1Mbps ADSL broadband connection?
If so, can I configure this VoIP connection using either a PPPoE or ATM WAN link?
Is it possible to make a VoIP call using a Cisco 837 Router while simultaneously surfing the Internet? In other words do I need two public IP addresses i.e. one for accessing the internet and one for making the VoIP call or is one static IP address obtained from my ISP sufficent.
It is possible to configure QoS parameters (e.g. RSVP, Voice precedence, Voice codec selection) on this 837 router using PPoE or can it only be done using an ATM WAN interface?
Does the Cisco 837 router support both the H.323 and SIP communication protocols? Do I need to purchase a certain IOS operating system version for VoIP calling?
Does the VoIP dial peers need to be configured with both a POTS and VoIP phone numbers or is only one number required?
Do I need to obtain a special VoIP number from my VoIP service provider? or can I use existing POTS numbers or made up numbers within the dial peers as this situation involves making a private VoIP call between two branch offices using 837 ADSL routers and not via a VoIP service provider.
Finally, can I use POTS ordinary telephones with the Cisco 837 for making VoIP calls or do I strictly need to purchase VoIP phones?
My apologies for the number of questions asked here but I currently need to know the technical ability of the Cisco ADSL 837 as I am thinking of employing these routers in my company organisation.

Making a RPC Call with Complex Server-Side

Hey, I'm currently trying to write a distributed program using a simple web service call. I've tried to set up Axis RPC by following a tutorial and got it working, but the problem is I end up calling a JWS file on the server and at that point I'm not sure how I can tap into the rest of my server code to do complex server-side work.
Basically I want the ability to call other Java classes I write, but for some reason I can't figure out how to make them show up as valid classes to the JWS file. Throwing the files in the same directory under Tomcat doesn't do anything, and I haven't managed to do it with a JAR files either. Are there any tricks to getting JSW files to refer to regular Java classes, or am I using the wrong technologies altogether?

I didn't personally develop the back end, but basically think a lot of classes including inheritance and all that, there are database calls (I think JDBC and Hibernate), and overall just a fair bit of code.
If I make other Java classes part of the same project, the jws file can't seem to find them. If I put a CallServer.jws and OtherClass.java in the same directory, writing OtherClass object = new OtherClass(); gives a compile error. But maybe I'm misinterpreting what you mean by "make them part of your web service project".

Cannot be heard when making a phone call with yosemite

Hi,
Since upgrading to Yosemite i have tried to make numberous phone calls from my Mac Mini (Late 2012) but the other party cannot hear me.
I have enabled the settings required and am logged into the same account on my iPhone 5 and Mac, i have also plugged a USB headset in and changed the input settings to the headset but still nothing. i can hear the other party but not be heard.
Have i missed something obvious?

We want you to have a great working device, amandabr. Are you able to hear callers clearly? Do you have a case on the phone or anything near the bottom mic that may be interfering with the sound? Double check to make sure the bottom mic is also clear of pocket lint/other debris that can effect the quality of the sound.

Non Blocking Call with OCCI

Hi Everyone
I have searched through the whole OCCI documentation and could not find a way to make an asynchronous call to the database. you see the issue we have is that we need to cancel a call to the database if it does not return within the timeout value set. However, OCI does have the cancelling mechanism, but we have doned some testing and the Binding and Defining parameters call take to much of memory and and CPU. Once in a while it runs out of memory.
Has any body come across this problem, and what solutions do you have i mind

The invalid handle was most likely the error handle, not the service context nor server handles as kmohan indicated above. The error handle needs to be allocated first.

BB Tour: Emergency Call Mode Only

This morning I accidentally selected the the option to make an emergency call rather than unlocking my phone via password. I immediately terminated the call, but have been unable to make/receive calls, browse the web, send text or email etc. I tried powering the phone on and off, removing the battery, and turning my network connections on and off (tried all several times) and nothing has worked. My phone has been like this for 6 hours now. A review of the BB guide stated the emergency call mode would disable once I made an outbound non emergency call, but his obviously didn't work. The other portion of the guide said the phone normally resets after a few minutes. Any ideas?

Here is some additional information if you are still unable to use your device.
If your BlackBerry® device is connected to a CDMA network, when you end an emergency call, your device enters Emergency Callback Mode.
This mode enables the operator to call you back or determine your approximate location. Emergency
Callback Mode is active for five minutes or is canceled when you make a non-emergency call.
***Since you have already tried to make a non-emergency call, and it is still not disabling the emergency mode, try calling your voicemail box (*86 send) and go as far as checking your messages. This should disable the Emergency Callback Mode.

Every thing I have seen or heard to fix this unable to non disable phone can't get in except for emergency calls in order to get to go to try anything. Please advise what to. I am not a computer geru but I can generally fix problems this I can't. THANKYOU to anyone with any simple solution. How do you reduce/turn off keypad sound when making a phone call?

If I understand the question correctly, it is not about turning off keyboard clicks, it's about silencing the beeps made when manually keying in a phone number. With keyboard clicks turned off, the beeps still sound when keying in a phone number. If I'm reading the iPhone User Guide correctly, it explains how to turn off keyboard clicks but not how to silence the beeps when keying in a phone number. The only way I have found to silence the beeps is to put the phone into silent mode.

Where are you and where did you get the phone. This sounds like a classic symptom of someone who bought an iPhone that originated in the U.S. which was then hacked so it would run on a carrier network other than AT&T... Then, when updating the phone, it becare re-locked to AT&T.
If that's what happened, you now own a paperweight. AT&T will NOT unlock them for any reason.
If this isn't the case, please clarify where you are, what carrier you have and where you got the phone so we can begin troubleshooting.

first of all the iphone 4 is not a 4G phone
second it sounds like your iphone could be locked to another operator then the sim you have inserted

I`ve tried restarting, rebooting, nothing works.
The interesting thing is that SIRI can call to previous mobile numbers (without the new digit) obviously not connecting , and, can call to any other numbers as an office or home number. So the problem is the new digit in the mobile number

Ecuador has added an extra digit to mobile phone numbers but apple wont accept 10 digit phone numbers so we cant use facetime or apple IM or verify our new phone numbers. ( and Siri won't work either!) I have contacted apple support online but can't request a call back as the apple system says our new phone numbers are invalid. I am going to phone them tomorrow and you should complain too at http://www.apple.com/support/contact/. . The more people that bring this to their attention the faster it will get fixed
