Nokia 1320 - Need Support - Nokia Down - Brazil

Hello Guys, Vim expose all my disappointments with Nokia product as professional in the field of Information Technology, came to recommending compared to other Nokia phones believe that Mark is doing an excellent job, but the brand disappoint me as much and I can continue recommending a product purchased at your store does not was paying the proper support. 'll Exclarecer whole situation lived on 01/10/2014 and seach all legal means, as there are many broken items consumer protection code, in addition to disclosing the terrible service from Nokia itself. I get the phone my phone on 09/08/2014 at the Nokia Store, located at Gardens Mall in Aracaju / SE, Brazil. Study and work with the phone, is extremely important because I'm a Micro Emprededor, now registered in the CNPJ: 20,652,466 / 0001-89, and use it to my hobby as an amateur Photographer I went to this store on the date mentioned already seeking the Nokia 930, but the equipment was missing and empurarraram me with Nokia 1320 nomenclature give the impression that is acquiring a higher Desired product, look at the difference 930 to 1320, it attracted me because I was looking for processing, memory and a good quality of picture in the picture, but the device had no higher than the intended product quality, and the camera is terrible nothing that I was sold. The problem is that nokia looked to me as a customer actually occurred on 01/10/2014, around 16 hours, and I was a witness to the Nokia store and were attended by Thiago, this told me was to call a number printed on a role that any and would have to take my equipment with restarting problem and, very important to my work, to another state, because there was Technical assistance here in the state and would have to send it to Salvador, how can I go without my equipment and distant place where I can not charge your immediate coserto? Communicated to Thiago, in the Nokia shop, which was urgently why I can not do without the equipment and that Nokia would have to have a position on that, the even refused to receive the equipment, refused to call for a manager or repost her work number, warning us that can not pass personal phone, manager at the time was not present. So I had to remind him of the Consumer Code and Article 18 that my case came within its item 3 and item 1 The same me had yet to submit Salvador, how soon could be solved? Merely send via mail already represents days and can not be without it. Article 18 of the Code of Consumer Protection - Law 8078/90, which says: Clarifying Article 18, the consumer protection code, it makes clear that providers of services and products for durable goods or nondurable diplomatic answer jointly by the vices or quantity to make it unfit. The product was sold to me misleading information and update when needed support to my problem, the store desrepeitando out the laws, and the consumer principalemente who gave a credit to your brand. I want a position with urgency at Nokia, if you will not go into Special Court in civil and procon, and disclosure of Review for my clients, in other greater access as the ne complain. sites, I have witnesses, photos and videos. I hope the brand does not disappoint me again. Regards, Diego Angels

  • Allow Nokia suite to support Nokia 301

going further is Nokia Suite supports Nokia 301 to sync contact and message?

No. There is basically no further development planned for Nokia Suite so it will not support any products launched in 2013 and going forward. This is described also in this FAQ: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/301/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA141211
For connecting your phone to PC, you can use Nokia Connectivity cable driver.
One workaround for syncing contacts would be via Mail For Exchange: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/301/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA141748

Are you in a country where GPS in phones was banned? I seem to remember Eqypt (or was it Syria?) was one place mentioned on the boards a few months ago.
N79 is not listed as supported on the Mobile dictionary site and I could only see that the application is pre-installed on some devices.

  • Nokia OVI Suite and Nokia Care Support

Today I called Nokia Support, because I could not download maps with map loader.
The guy asked if the ovi suite is installed. I told him, that the Ovi suite keeps on crashing on start-up on my machine, and that all other software is running fine, e.g. the PC suite which I am using instead.
For a price of 14 Cent/Minutes this "Nokia-Care"-guy had the nuts telling me that probably my computer needs to be fixed. After telling him that my computer works fine with all other software, he finally told me that I need to call Microsoft, as it would be their fault that Ovi Suite is not running on my machine.
This is a poor joke called "Nokia-Care". Dear Nokia-people, that is no-support and no-care-at-all. Providing something that crashes for free, and charging money for providing rudeness on the phone.

  • Nokia PC Suite support for Outlook and Thunderbird

    Hi,
I am currently using the Microsoft Outlook 2007 combined with Nokia PC Suite to synchronize the contents of the Outlook with my Nokia N73 smartphone. I am now considering to switch e-mail client from Microsoft Outlook to the Mozilla Thunderbird. So my question is then, is Nokia PC Suite compatible with Mozilla Thunderbird?
I have in fact already installed Thunderbird, but it is not available as an option anywhere in the settings for Nokia PC Suite. All I can find in the Nokia PC Suite settings is a tab called "Microsoft Outlook" where I can choose the different Outlook profiles or change settings. In my humble opinion there should be a new tab added called "Thunderbird" or similar right next to the "Microsoft Outlook" tab in the settings for Nokia PC Suite after installing another e-mail client such as the Mozilla Thunderbird.
I know that there is this option to choose what e-mail client to use upon installing Nokia PC Suite, where I have chosen Outlook. Does this mean that I have to reinstall Nokia PC Suite to get this choice to choose e-mail client to use? If I do reinstall Nokia PC Suite, will I even get to this option at all? Since I am only reinstalling Nokia PC Suite and it is already configured once to be used with Outlook, I'm thinking that maybe this option will not even appear upon reinstalling Nokia PC Suite.
I don't have a clear memory of it but I think I once reinstalled Nokia PC Suite for some reason and I was not presented with this option to choose e-mail client as the first time I installed it. So this may require complete uninstallation and deletion of files and Windows registry for Nokia PC Suite, and then a fresh installation of it to get to this window where to choose e-mail client.
Even when and if I get to that window, it's no guarantee that I will be able to choose Thunderbird even thou it's installed. Why? Because I know from experience that commercial and proprietary software like Nokia PC Suite tends to only support the industry standard platforms and systems and applications, or de-facto industry standards like the extensively used Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft products. I know by experience that such software as Nokia PC Suite love to lick Microsoft's **bleep**. Don't you think?... or don't you know? You disagree? Well lay it on me, tell me what you think!
I would love to be able to synchronize my mobile phone with my computer, even if I may use a Linux or other nix-like operating system. But if Nokia PC Suite doesn't even support e-mail clients other then Microsoft Outlook, such as the Thunderbird, then it's probably too much to ask for a Linux support for Nokia PC Suite. Or is it?... does Nokia PC Suite support Linux?...

    Thanks for your answers!
By this time I have made a clean install of Windows Vista at least three times, and on one occasion I remembered to check this this thesis of mine that I mentioned above. So for the purpose of testing if it's true that the Nokia PC Suite installation process or Nokia PC Sync configuration wizard does not present the user with the option to choose Mozilla Thunderbird as e-mail client, I have done the following.
I have made a completely clean, out of the box installation of Windows Vista on the computer (retail version, non-custom branded Vista version). After installing the needed and important drivers for the system and other software required for the proper operation of the system and few other software, I went on installing Microsoft Office with Outlook 2007 as one of the first software applications. Then I installed Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird. After I had done that, I installed the Nokia PC Suite.
As my thesis predicted, after successfully installing Nokia PC Suite and the Nokia PC Sync configuration wizard was started, I was not presented with the option to choose Mozilla Thunderbird as my e-mail client, even thou both Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird were installed prior to or before Nokia PC Sync. In other words, if this was a limitation of the Nokia PC Suite or it's installer, where it does not recognize e-mail clients that are installed after Nokia PC Suite itself, then installing the e-mail clients in this order should make Nokia PC Suite recognize it. But it did not, or at least as long as the Mozilla Thunderbird is concerned. Thus, this proves my thesis - Nokia PC Suite is currently not compatible with Mozilla Thunderbird. And Mobile Sensei Petrib confirms this also.
Here follows a screenshot of the actual Nokia PC Sync configuration wizard.
    http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/9803/nokiapcsyncsd3.jpg
I'm afraid we will have to bear with this. I personally don't believe that there will ever be any official release of Nokia PC Suite that will have full support (or any at all) for other e-mail clients then just Microsoft Outlook and Lotus, or that there will be any official Linux or nix-like version of it. Not today, not in next five years, and not in one thousand light-years from today. We can hope, but the odds are pointing in the opposite direction.
So bear with Microsoft Outlook, and the Windows **bleep**. No pay, no play! Unfortunately... fortunate for Microsoft, Nokia, and others alike, but unfortunate for us end users.

  • Does Nokia Asha 310 support reading ebooks?

    Hello everyone,
Pls let me know if it is possible to read ebooks in Asha 310?
If yes, what formats does this support like .txt or .pdf or .epub etc
If not, then is it possible to install any app (third party is also fine) which will help support reading books in phone.. where can I find this app?
    Thanks,

In the Ovi Store. However, bear in mind the Nokia 310 is short of heap memory (RAM) which does not allow to read big files and it is complicated. If you do not need Dual SIM, have you considered to go for Nokia Belle like the Nokia 700?

  • Nokia 3G phone supporting bluetooth modem

I'm looking to get a Nokia phone that can act as a Bluetooth modem in Linux (from what I can see if it can act like a Bluetooth modem at all it should just work). What models support this? What spec should I look out for?
    Thanks

I don't use Linux so I can only give you half an answer.
However Nokia do not make drivers for Linux.
I use my handsets with Windows and for that application you really need to be looking for one that has HSDPA - High Speed Downlink Packet Access. This allows speeds ranging from 1.8mbps to 7.2mbps depending on your carrier networks capability.
You'll also need to be connected to a network that supports HSDPA.
The Nokia N95, N95 8Gb, N82, and 6220 Classic, and a few other handsets support HSDPA.
    Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black
Nokia E72-1 with Vr 051.018.207.04 Software

  • Nokia pc suite support problems

when i plug the usb cable to my e52 and start the nokia pc suite application it said that i need to install support app to my phone when i accept the instalation on my phone and prepare to install, my phone give me "unable to install"
    what could be the problem.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You have to format your mobile. For that, Uninstall Nokia PC Suite from your PC and restart it. Now download the latest version of Nokia PC Suite from Nokia website and install it in your PC and restart it again. Now backup your mobile's contacts, messages, notes, calender and bookmarks via Nokia PC Suite backup utility (You cannot backup MMS and email without PC Suite support). Don't backup anything else like settings or user files etc. Now backup your images, videos and music files using Windows Explorer. Now format your memory card. Now type this command *#7370# (default security code is 12345). Connect your mobile with PC and wait for the message for installing PC Suite support. If message not appear then run Nokia PC Suite, click on Help and click "Reinstall Nokia PC Suite support". Install everything and wait for a minute. Restart your mobile and restore your backup. This will solve your problem. Now install applications you like. Good luck...

  • Nokia Belle needs to be fixed

    Hi nokia community,
I'm writing in the hope to find perfect solution to three problems I'm having with nokia belle latest version.
Recently I bought nokia 701, then I update it to the latest available firmware versions from nokia, also updated Qt version. But since then my device is not working as I expected, it frequently freezes whilst chatting with nimbuzz or using opera mobile or while typing email and I'll have to remove battery to restart the phone. It's extremely annoying for me, belle is not what I expected to me, andi will recommend everyone against buying any symbian based devices.
Not only bugs and issues comes with belle, also comes a great deal of feeling alienated, because of lack of interest from nokia due to windows phone and disgusting apps/software support.
This is my last symbian device, would surly go for android or windows phone.
Conclusion: Nokia strongly needs to focus on symbian development if they want to continue symbian line otherwise there's no future for this pathetic piece of OS. Kindly fix existing annoying bugs by launching another update for belle.
    Highly Disappointed,
    geekObelle.

I do hope that rumour of a September update is inaccurate and something comes along much sooner.
Nokia need to act now. They are already on the outer margins of the smartphone market, their smartphones largely bought by loyal customers built up from a time when Nokia produced market leading products. You can't rely on that loyalty for ever when you push out junk like Belle, half cripple peoples phones and then (potentially) take half a year or more to sort it out... or not if those leaked screen shots you mention are going to be representative of the finished product.
If the next update is to maintan the same look and appearance of the current version of Belle, Nokia might as well just give up now.

  • Nokia Care- N95 Support

I am having lots of problems with my N95. The handset keeps on shutting down or freezing without applications running. The handset is very unreliable and I feel I must reinstall my primary SIM into my trusty N80. For example if I try to accesss my voice mailbox by pressing and holding button 1 , the phone shuts down! I am constantly restarting the phone, sometimes having removed the battery for a few seconds. If i recieve a SMS, this often causes a problem.
I bought my N95 SIM free and am running software version 12 with a 2Gb memory card. I have had several S60 phones, so I am well aware of their limitations, but this is the worst one.
I have tried to contact Nokia Care on 0845 0455555. They keep you hanging on for ages, trying to speak to an Engineer ,only to be re-directed, before being cut off. They even promised to call me back, but they only said that to get rid of me!
So I tried to contact Nokia Care by e-mail. I got a standard computer generated reply, and it was obvious nobody ever bothered to read my e-mail!
All I want is to speak to someone about my problems to double check I am not doing anything wrong before I return the handset. Does anyone know who and how it is possible to speak with a qualified Nokia technician?
    Adrian Smith

First you could download some new software onto the phone, the new software is very reliable.

If that doesn't work the techinition you want is to go to a Nokia Service Centre.
They will repair free under it's 2 year warranty

  • Nokia 6700 on support website....when??

Does anyone know when Nokia will update their website support / OVI areas to include the new Nokia 6700. This handset is now on sale in the UK (I have one) but when you try and download the PC software / OVI maps or get general support on the website it is as if the Phone does not exist. More importantly the software update "can i update screen" does not recognise the phone either.
I even tried contacting Nokia directly using the contact us section but even that did not include the new model? Their reply was usual default useless response......thanks Zoey !! not.
I am hoping that this will be resolved soon as my first Orange 6700 crashed and died on the first day of ownership and I am still waiting for a replacement to be sent.
What happened? - Phone was fully charged and all I did was launch the included game (snakes 3) on starting a new game the screen displayed what seemed to be the main home screen with "?" logos where all the onscreen frames are displayed. The phone then switched off and would not restart again. Leaving the phone without power for 1hr did not resolve this and phone is officially dead. Just hope replacement works a bit better than this

While browsing blogs, I found that nokia browser doesnt support unicode. I tried with Opera 10 too. Can anyone please let me know if there's a way to see unicode fonts on Nokia N8.

  • Is there an update for Nokia 701 which supports SN...

    Hi,
I am new in Nokia development.
    I have a Nokia 701 (SW version 111.020.0307 - Symbian Belle).
I want to develop a NFC application which sends NDEF messages (through SNEP protocol) to an Android phone (Ice cream).
From what I could see till now, the SW version that I have in my Nokia phone does not support SNEP.
I want to know if there is any SW update for Nokia 701 which supports SNEP.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Just adding more information in order to clarify my questions related to this post.
I am pretty new in Nokia developing. Actually this is the first application I was asked to develop/change.
I work to a company which has a client that has an application that runs in Nokia 701 (SW version  111.020.0307 - Symbian Belle). They want us to change this application in order to be able to send NDEF messages through SNEP protocol.
From what I could see till now, current SW version in the Nokia 701 does not support SNEP.
I also saw that new QTMobility versions support SNEP. I would like to know if I download the Nokia SDK and the new QTFramework/QTMobility:
1- I would be able to change the existing application to send NDEF messages through SNEP.
2- Would the modified application run in the current  Nokia 701 SW release? Or we would have to install any new lib to have it working?
3- Where can I find which QTFramework/QTMobility version are supported in current SW 111.020.0307 - Symbian Belle?
Sorry if my questions are very rudimentary, but, as I said, I am new in the company and pretty new in Nokia development. All those terms  QTFramework/QTMobility are new to me.
    Thanks in advance,

    Dear Nokia Careline,
The "No Return Policy" already be used here. Seem that I have no choice to go for other alternatives. Maybe I have to file the case to our local authority i.e. Tribunal Court Claim to exercise my consumer right here.
Perhaps, further blogs at Nokia discussion column, facebook, twitter might help to let others understand more about so-called Nokia Careline entertain their loyal customer.
If you insist your stand there, then I am always ready to go for my alternatives.
I won't let go unless you could satisfy me.

    Dear Mr. X,
    We appreciate your prompt reply.
We will be noting for concern as a feedback. However, please be informed Mr. Tan that Nokia has noted in the box regarding the said case.
The outage experienced by our sub-supplier was quite unexpected. Typically, the lead time for components such as this one is fairly long, and one cannot react to sudden changes at short notice. We value our relationship with our suppliers and sub-suppliers, and know that our sub-supplier is doing everything in their power to remedy the situation and return to regular supply.
The lack of TV out should not affect any other device functionalities besides that you will not be able to show/transmit pictures or video to external monitor/screen.
As Nokia does not have a replacement policy, we suggest to check with your dealer if they have a policy regarding exchanges.

    Dear NOKIA CARELINE,
Yap, you can tell me leaflet included & a tiny label on the pack box. But who will really check every single area of the pack box & read the whole manual or leaflet when they decided to buy the phone. What normally customer will check is the handphone and the accessories. Now you are telling me that customer have to check everything even they  buy something from a reputable company like Nokia. If I going in a shop that sell a China like Nokia 5800 handphone and I bought it then I won't have a say here at all.
I have checked with my retailer they allow me to return the unit but I can't get full refund from them. They are going deduct a couple of hundred cause they said the unit is considered used unit now. According to them instead of asking customer to wait they prefer to refund the customer. So who is going to bear for the cost now.
I certainly frustrated by getting a unit that without TV out function. If you are telling me that once manufactured the feature could not be added in, then I would say if you do have a unit with TV-out feature now you could exchange directly to your customer. Why still ask your loyal customer like me to refer to dealer or retailer. Is that what you mean after sales service or NOKIA CARELINE. You don't even care in the first place.
Your apologies certainly couldn't be accepted with reason of Nokia did include leaflet to inform and tiny sticker at the bottom of the pack box. Sound irresponsible to me at all.
What I wanna your care now, that is pls exchange a unit with TV-out feature with mine in which without such feature. Do I really put the CARELINE into difficulty position. Your reply to me is highly appreciated and also to show that you care or don't care.
    Regards,

    Dear Mr. X,
Thank you for emailing Nokia Careline.
    Greetings!
In response to your inquiry, please be informed Mr. Tan that due to a component shortage, a limited number of Nokia 5800 Xpress Music has been manufactured without the TV-out functionality. It is possible that you have one of these devices. In that case, the sales package should have a sticker on the package and a leaflet inside the package that inform about the lack of TV-out functionality. Also, the TV-out cable has been removed from the affected sales packages.
Kindly take note Mr. Tan that it is not possible to add the feature after the device has been manufactured. Therefore we have labeled the affected sales packages with a sticker and included a leflet that inform about the lack of TV-out functionality. Those individuals who wish to have the TV-out functionality should wait for a sales package that that has it again.
The new batch of phones should have the feature back. As this matter is clearly stated in the sales package, it is not possible to return to Nokia. However, you may check with your dealer if they have a policy regarding the return of the unit in exchange for a version that has the TV-out feature. Those individuals who wish to have the TV-out functionality should wait for a sales package that that has it again.
    Apologies for any inconvenience.

[Message:I bought a unit of Nokia 5800 last week for my wife. I discovered that the unit I bought is without TV support because when I tried to connect the TV cable that I bought. I tried to check the manual & pack box then only noticed a small label on the pack box stated no TV out supported. The retailer informed me that they only aware about this when I complained to them. I checked the discussion blogs, some stated because of worldwide component shortage so such function being omitted. I can't accept such explanation because I feel like I was being cheated by Nokia. Am I buying a pirated product now. Oh come on, how could Nokia so irresponsible to deliver the product with imcomplete function since TV out in general or ealier batch was included. Could you imagine if next time the product is delivered without GPS function, camera support, wifi & etc. by giving excuses of worldwide component shortage. What's the different buying a China Imitaion Product
now. I certainly wanna to return my unit if such function was omitted. Please reply your loyal customer ASAP.]
