Nokia 1600 Headset problem

Can anyone help. Every time I connect a headset using a headset base adapter, the headset icon comes up on the screen and the caller at the other end can hear me through the headset but I can hear nothing from the heaphones, the callers voice continues to come out of the phone itself. Any suggestions anyone out there please?

With firmware 410.21.010, I do not experience that problem anymore. Switching from one equalizer type to another one changes the sound immediately. Editing the scale within one type of equalizer and modifying the Audio Settings (balance, loudness, stereo widening) also make changes immediately. Have you updated E63 to the newest fw version? Thanks.

Nokia N95 headset problem

I have a N95-1. After having downloaded the new software V.20.0.015 the headset buttons don't work. The Media player is ok,I can listen to the songs drom the headset but can't change tracks and so on using the buttons..any help?

I have seen a number of people report this issue.
It may be a FW issue but check with Nokia.

Nokia 5310 headset problem

my 3days old 5310 cant seem to play music in it's headset..
but whenever i put on the jack(HS-45) to it's socket.
the 5310 detects it but without a sound coming out in FM or My Saved files(mp3,wma).
what should i do?? is there anything to enable the headset to produce sound ??

Today I'm buyed a new and original HS-31 phone headset, but when I connect this headset to my Nokia 7370 phone, the headset is very in undertones to run. I'm barely hear anything (radio or a call).
What's the problem????

You have presented with certainly an unique situation. I suspect that first of all, the reason the website you rely on opens on your friend's Samsung is that a lot of websites out there have updated their support for more current web development standards....which for some older browsers accessing their websites can cause compatibility/rendering issues. I suspect that the company will want to cater for as many of their customers, and the number of users using severly outdated browsers numbers in the minority.
Firmware updates for the older DCT-4 phones such as your 6230i were only able to be performed via Nokia Care points. I enquried about updating my 7710 a while or so ago, and got the rather flat answer that my device was so old that they no longer had the equipment to update it. I suspect it would be the same in your case.
Not too sure that the HS-10 headset would be compatible with any of the newer Nokia's. There are a number of cheap Nokia newer headsets out there that would work with many of today's newer phones.
I understand your need for a phone that just does phone calls and texts, and the occasional train line check. I would recommend a phone such as the Nokia 110, but since it is using WAP 1.1, am unsure as to how much support it would have with today's websites. A safer bet is to use an Asha phone such as the 202, 203, 300, that has support for the newer websites. These you can get on the cheap these days anyway. And they will all pretty much play MP3's.
The 6230i is a seven year old phone, be proud that you extracted that much usage out of it . There are many newer options out there these days, and maybe there's a bit of a learning curve, but keep your mind open....you could be very pleasantly surprised by the features you gain and enjoy!

I don´t understand how Nokia put this battery in this place, not is very easy of change.
1)- Remove the center pin of the clip. Its a small pin that stay into the clip (axis). Need a small needle or similar. Need make carefully but very hard pressure to extract from this place. Take care when quit that don´t loose the spring.
2)- After remove the pin, under this place, you can found a small phillips screw. Remove it.
3)- After remove the screw, with a very thin needle, you can put a bit of pressure into to extract the silver buttons front.
4)- Now be TOO CAREFULLY. Align the LOCK button to can extract the circuit board. TAKE TOO MUCH CARE BECAUSE IN THE CORNER HAVE TOO SMALL CABLES.
5)- After remove the board you can easy see the big CR-2032 battery. The battery are glued to the frame. Remove. Put a new battery glued (by example with the double surface 3M tape red) and close the unit.
I already make this procedure and my unit work fine again!!!

See caller's name in an incoming call - Nokia 1600

I have just bought a Nokia 1600. I have noticed that the incoming calls show only the number of the caller. I have the caller number and name in the phonebook. Is there anything I must configure in order to see the caller's name? I sure hope that this is a misconfiguration, otherwise i'll have to return the phone...I don't think I'll be memorizing people's numbers...

I had the same problem and worked out that it was because I had the same number stored more than once in the phone memory under different names. If you have this then the phone displays the number as it doesn't know which name to use. This occurs even if one entry is on the SIM card and the other in the phone memory. I think this is a quirk of Nokia phones generally and not limited to the 1600 as I know other people who have had the same problem.
To get round it you have to delete any duplicates from the phone or sim card contact lists.

Headset Problem On iPhone 4

When i plug Nokia N8 headset in my iphone and play music , loud nd distorted noises start . Can anybody tell me if there is a problem with the iphone or is it not compatible with those headsets . My iPhone nd skullcandy headsets work fine nd some random headsets also work .

I'm anxious for a solution as well. I have tried all kinds of "tricks" (which there shouldn't have to be any at this point) suggested here for other models of iPhone, I've tried transferring to iTunes then back again, deleting files off iPhone and trying downloads again, etc. There is no pause button that comes up for me to hit (as suggested in another thread), either. I am afraid that because I was only given the option on my iPhone to rent HD movies that I will lose them because they are not able to be transferred to iTunes. It is too bad the iTunes store doesn't give you the automatic option to rent either HD or standard when you buy it. And the HD icon is faint gray on the right of the screen so you do not see it on a tiny little phone screen. I think I've just wasted $15 bucks.

Your right. The generic bluetooth driver may not accommodate the A2DP, HSP, HFP, and the Audio Video Remote Control Profile on your Nokia BH-503 device and you may need to install the Broadcom bluetooth driver for it to work.
Try one of the following:
1. Navigate to the D:\Drivers\Bluetooth folder and run the setup to install the bluetooth driver. If there's no driver in the D:\Drivers\Bluetooth folder, download and install this one:
Bluetooth Driver (Liteon/Atheros, CyberTan/Broadcom) for 64-bit Windows
Version: 12.0.0.4604/8.0.0.210
During installation, you will see the drivers being installed as shown in this picture. Open Device Manager and observe if the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator changes back to Broadcom Bluetooth.
2. If problem remains, download and install this driver:
WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software for Windows

Nokia 808 Headphone Problem ?

I have a Nokia Stereo Headset HS-45 with media controller AD-54 (which has volume control and other media controls ). It worked well with my nokia N8 but media controller AD-54 IS NOT WORKING with my nokia 808( I can hear the sound but volume and other controls don't work ). Anyone has the same problem with their 808 with this or any other headset with media controls ).

I have just tried my AD-54 on my 808 and all the Controls work properly. The only thing I noticed is that if the lock slider is slightly off the unlocked position it will lock the controls, might be worth checking.
I have also tried my WH-701 as supplied with my N8, and these also work, so if you still have yours it is worth trying them to see if there is a fault with your 808.

Nokia 1600 - Message transfer

I recently changed from my Nokia 1600 to a smart phone so the message which were stored in SIM memory (20 by default) were carried forward to the new phone rest are still in phone memory. I tried to transfer message by first flushing the SIM memory (copied message in the SIM to the new phone) so that the message in the phone memory can accommodate in SIM memory but was not a success. I am still able to see the message in the phone by putting the same SIM in Nokia 1600.
The message were randomly stored in SIM memory i.e. not in any particular order like date it was received or size of message, not sure how the message storage criteria works.
Please let me know how can I transfer my message to my new phone. If I can also get the sent message transferred it will be best case scenario.

if you got the right message centre number then it should not be a problem.
message sending fails usually when at the point of sending message the signal drops down(check your signal strength)..or sometimes the operator is doing something with its network..if it persist contact operator

You'll be thoroughly thrilled to know that the N900 does not support complex headsets..
I have a pair of BH905 nokia headphones, frequently shown in official N900 videos being used with a cable..
Unfortunately when plugged into the phone using the cable, the buttons do not work.. in fact I don't believe you can use it has a headset via the cable..
Via bluetooth however, they work marginally better (the headphones crash)
Apparently headset support was removed in favor of TV out.. so head sets with multiple buttons just don't work..
I believe the only headsets that actually work as expected are the ones that ship with the n900..
I must admit, for all its faults, this was the one thing that irritated me most about this incredible media rich by peripheral crippled phone!
