Nokia 201 asha email

Hi i have the nokia 201 asha,ive noticed on my fone in the menu section theres a @button for mail it says,is this where i can access my emails im with hotmail.co.uk,i understand i have to have paid for data access in my payg provider giffgaff,or is this button for nokia mail only,can some one please let me know also what nokia mail is,

The @ button that you can see on the homescreen of your phone serves as a shortcut if you would want to access your email instantly without accessing the Menu of your phone.
Nokia Mail formerly Ovi Mail, is a free email service. You can get free email address with free webmail and mobile phone access.

Nokia 201 asha data usage

Hi ive got the nokia 201 asha fone
my network provider charges for data usage even when your not using it,ive set it up for my emails with hotmail.co.uk and facebook,to keep intouch with family while away from home which admittedly wont be very often hence i dont have it as part of my package and im on payg,
ive had to delete it as i dont want to be charged when not using them,
is there any way i can put the settings back on but turn it off so that im not downloading data updates when not in use

easiest way is to switch your phone to Offline mode, not sure if there is a data toggle on the Asha series of phones like there is on Symbian.

Nokia n97 mini email not working

Hi im trying to set up emails on my n97 mini , i click on email it says no mailbox defined define now , so i click yes then start , i choose my internet and it says installing , allow application to use internet, click yes then i goes back to messaging and email not set up , any help

I think I have the same problem. I can set up email accounts with the email wizard and Nokia Messaging online (email.nokia.com) but they don't show up as a mailbox in the regular messages folder structure. Also starting the procedure from that point (Create new mailbox) lead to no results. It starts up the set up procedure but goes back to nothing. Also the symbol of new mail @ is not shown (I hear the sound)....
I used to see a list with Mailboxes in use when I just got the phone, but since I deleted an account I have the above described situation. I did a hard factory default settings reinstall all but that didn't fix the problem.
Can we have some support please?

Nokia 201 firmware update

Why hasn't Nokia released any new software for Nokia 201? Nokia keeps on releasing for other bigger phones. Let Nokia try to provide an update for Nokia 201 so new and cool features can be added.

Hi I have the same problem as well - and i have already returned one phone this is my second - it seems to be a fault
I would return this one as well only the Nokia FLAGSHIP store in london does not answer the phone
It seems to me the phone is not properly shielded

Nokia Messaging push email not working

Hey, i am using a Nokia C3, already subscribed to a nokia messaging service through the operator. Using communities, mail and chat are all ok, except the push email. The push email is not working, sometimes it works, but mostly its not working. I tested to send email from my PC and the email never arrive on my phone. But when i open the mail application and synch, the email will be there. So, the push mail is not working. I set it up correctly i guess, i already set the settings to 'follow my account setting' and the account setting update inbox 'very fast'.
When first using this phone i use an "A" operator, subscribed to nokia messaging service, and then register the email in the mail application. Several week ago i changed to operator "B", and already removed the email and re-adding again. Any solution? Thanks before..

now the both function is working fine in my phone. space bar light and nokia messaging ( push email ) the thing is once it go for low battery profile mode. after that i charge my batter full also my push email will not work. once phone got restarted then it will start works. if my active power saver mode then if we charge my phone also it will not work even in full charge i need restart. before my phone got power saver mode my push email is working fine. once it go for active power saver mode then we charge full also push email will not work. again i need to restart my phone. for this issue what has to be done ? can any one suggects me regarding the same

Nokia 201 and Nokia Suite

I have a new a new Nokia Asha 201, and I have installed Nokia Suite on my computer. I can bring up the names and phone numbers and post codes entered in my phone, but I cannot bring up postal addresses. Is there any way that I can do this, or is it impossible. Criosdaidh

Welcome to Nokia discussions board!
Please go to your contact list on your phone, open the relevant contact. Go to Options > Add detail > Personal info > Postal address. Enter anything, for example "1" then press "Save". Next, go to Options > Add detail > Personal info and enter the Street, City, State, Postal code and Country one after the other. Then sync your device, you will then see the full details on Nokia Suite.

Nokia Messaging: Sent emails are not saved on the ...

I use Nokia messaging (the latest -13 version) on a Nokia 5800. The server is a Imap server, not one of the automatically detected email providers. Sending and receiving of messages works. Unfortunately the messages are only saved locally on my phone, not on the server. How can I change that? How to I specifiy in which folder the messages are to be saved?

If you have performed a sync with the device since you restored this old backup, then don't bother looking for another backup. iTunes writes over the last backup each time you sync. If you were handling contacts in iCloud, you would find them by logging into iCloud. Or you can check settings and iCloud and see if the button it on for Contacts. Otherwise it might have been on the computer, if you had a program that syncs with iTunes and handles contacts, depending on the computer system you use. If Windows, it would be Windows Contacts or Outlook. If a Mac, there is a Mac Address book as well.

Nokia Lumia 920 email : how to do search on all em...

Hello all,
This is a feature i miss from my previous iphone 4.
I have multiple email accounts linked together (hotmail, 2 google accounts) on my lumia 920 email client app. I have set all email accounts to sync emails from past one month. However when i do a search for a particular keyword (eg: barbecue) , which might be present on one or all of the email accounts, probably on or before the one month time window, the email client can search only on the hotmail server and not on the google servers.
This was a feature i enjoyed with the iphone, in that it can search on all servers (linked) for the keyword I' looking for. Am I missing some setting ? or is it a limitation of the windows phone 8 email client ? or is it a limitation for nokia lumia's implementation of the windows phone 8 email client ?

Tried this and now i have only synced last 7 days and the search for an email can search on all servers (hotmail and google). However, its slightly annoying that i've to sync all calendars and contacts in order get the mail client be able to connect to the server. A change in this behaviour is desired.!

Nokia mail locks email server

When i assign an email adress to the nokia email app on my n97 mini i cannot download email messages from my computer. The reply i get is :mailserver locked out by another server.
How do i fix this problem?

I should explain a bit more about our setup.
We are utilizing a DMVPN between our remote cisco 2800 router. This SMTP traffic is riding the tunnel encapsulated within the GRE and Crypto. We also utilize a zone based firewall and IPS on the router. To get to the port 25 of our sever this traffic would have to ride the public internet and not be protected via the VPN. I am not prepared to follow that method based on security concerns. So currently we do not allow telnet over the public network and I am confident our main network firewall would block telnet access from outside of our private network.
So basically I am trying to do this over a private/protected infrastructure. Perhaps I am using the wrong method?

Can't send audio messages from Nokia E63 to email ...

I used to send audio messages from my mobile to my friend's email, and it worked fine.
But some days ago it stopped working. I keep on seeing this whenever I try to send audio message.
"In order to send/download MM messages, the current active connection may be closed (this may affect other applications in use). Do you want to continue ?"
When I disconnected connection, it fails to send again. I saw this message:
"Multimedia message cannot be sent. Packet data connection not available"
It is impossible for me to send the audio message if I close the connection because I'm not having internet in my phone.
I have been using packet data connection to send all the messages to email all the time and it went OK. I got that problem just a few days ago and I cannot send any audio messages now.
I can still send normal emails (non-audio message) from my phone through packet data connection though.
The problem is only when sending the audio message.
I'm using Nokia E63 and I'm in the UAE.
My mobile provider is "Du".
I use packet data connection from "MyWorld"
I don't have any other packet data connections. I had many but now, MyWorld is the only one in my phone.
Please help me how can I do it.

Nokia 311 asha - wifi????

Nokia, I get mad. My son bought yesterday a Nokia Asha 311. So far everything was ok. But what I do, you can not connect it to the internet via wifi!
I updated the phone recently. But it did not help.
I have read threads where other owners of that particular phone also living in pain around this problem. It would be great to hear from you how to solving the problem? But it may not be possible - your system in your phone might be bad?

Nokia 5230 - locking emails

Hello, I have just got the Nokia 5230. I have put my gmail account on it so that I recieve emails straight to my phone which is great. Does anybody know if I can assign a password that needs to be typed in before I look at my email each time. I would like to do this to avoid somebody gaining access to my email if the phone gets stolen.
Also does anybody know of any free software that can convert .avi video files to a format compatable with the 5230?

Same thing here, it does not happen all the time but randomly i get my inbox cleared and i dont know why.

FACEBOOK PROBLEM NOKIA 302 ASHA

hello !! . I am really upset that my nokia asha 302 cannot run the facebook application installed on the phone and I don't know what to do!!! Please help. The phone is brand new, it was purchased in a local store, has all documents in place including the warranty certificate, but the phone doesn't run the facebook app unless I use the internet browser. Tried to use the browser to connect to facebook and it works every single time, including on wireless networks, but the Facebook application installed in the phone doesn't work at all, and this happened since the very first day of use of my phone. I am using the phone for 2 months now, bought it 2 months ago and it didn't work at all under the FB application since I first used the phone. The browser and the internet both work. Please advise, thanks !!

Yeah that problem is not a problem actually. .
Launch the app with the mobile data on. It may take several times or it may not start on that time.
Try launching the app with mobile data on frequently.
At a certain time the internet would work efficiently on the app and hence the app would work.
It happened with my Asha 230 as well Asha 501.
Note: Keep sure that you have the latest version of Facebook.
