Nokia 208 problems with Opera Mini

I have a Nokia 208 (Single SIM) and I can not install Opera Mini on him. The application is downloaded but not installed. When I want to install the application, it shows me: "Installing ..." and remains locked so. And after some time it says: "Unable to connect to the internet. Please chech your settings". I tried several versions of Opera Mini and same problem. I downloaded from Nokia Store and m.opera.com site, etc., and the same problem. Other applications on the phone I saw that it works. And I can surf the internet, the problem is only with Opera Mini. Internet provider is Vodafone Romania. So how can I solve this problem? Or Nokia 208 (Single SIM) is not compatible with Opera Mini? We have several reports of this issue. In one case, it was solved by creating the configuration settings manually which made sure both the Access Point and the Web account are configured correctly. Your description only tells us, the Web configuration is OK.
To solve this issue finally, I would like to go this path again first:
Nokia » Menu » Settings » Configuration » Personal » New » Access Point » Access Point settings » Bearer settings » Mobile data access point (APN) » internet.vodafone.ro
Nokia » Menu » Settings » Configuration » Activate » Access Point » My access point

Sorry , but NO and NO. You can use Opera mobile as default browser, but it only opens attachments and links in mail, everything else reverts to native browser. Best way to watch Youtube is to download the YouTube app from Google mobile.

Unfortunately Opera does not support Flash. You can use Skyfire to view video, but as a browser it's very laggy !

Problem with Opera mini

Hi,
I have installed opera mini on my Nokia E61. So far I´m content with it, it´s working well. However, when I visit the website clevertanken.de (a site for viewing current gasoline prices), I´m stuck - it seems that an advertisement popup opens when I click on the site and I can´t close it, so I´m stuck on that popup and when I don´t want to go where it wants to link, there´s no way to go on...
How can I turn that off?

thanks for helping! Unfortunately, it doesn´t work yet - when I check "mobile view", it all looks a bit different, but when I click on one of the buttons ("Umkreissuche"), there is the popup again (some insurance comparison stuffy thingy) and I´m stuck. I´m using vrs. 4.2.14912 - I downloaded the thing from the website and that´s what I got. It´s not old. Have they recently upgraded? If so, I would get the most current version asap.

Your advice did not help me. I also installed 10.7.4 combo but the situation is the same.
my internet connection is ok, mail is ok, but app store after 3 resets does not recognize my ID and it says "connection is not possible". Why? Aduio problems with the mini! help!

I have serious audio problems with my Mini right now -- Please Help!
When I play iTunes, iPod, etc. I hear very bad static, and start and stops; like its an audio feed from the radio, a scratchy audo feed, that pauses.
At first i thought it was the old speakers that i run through the old display; but I plugged in Bose headphones to the mini itself and got the same bad, sound. this just started, can anybody help? thanks.

Check your Audio/MIDI Setup, making sure that your audio out settings are for 44.100khz, 2ch-16bit. I've seen some apps that arbitrarily change it to 1ch-8bit, which can cause the poor sound you're describing.

I download Opera Mini 6 to update version 5. I reboot my BB and when I launch Opera Mini, begin to install. When it is in a 1/5 then it stops and in a while show this message "It's not possible to connect to Internet. Check your configuration (translate it from spanish)". I am connecto to Internet by WIFI and I can browse with the BB browser
Do you know how to fix it?

Nokia 6303 classic issue with opera mini

I just bought Nokia 6303 classic and contacted my provider for enabling gprs on the phone, and I received and installed the configuration by sms. While these settings work just fine with the phone's browser, Opera Mini and all other apps can't connect to the internet. What should I do to fix this?

You must use a .prov file.

Your phone doesn't have wifi so, if you want to access to the internet, you will have to use gprs. Contact your network operator to learn for charges.

Pls, i have been unable to launch the Opera mini browser in my Nokia 5310.
Any time i launch the browser,"failed to connect to the internet" is displayed.
Can anyone help?

If I remember correctly, Opera Mini does a connectivity test when first launched. What about that? Did you have it done?
You could also try to reinstall (unistall and install) the software.

Problem with operw mini

I own Nokia C7-00.Brfore installing belle refresh last week my opera mini v 7 works fine.But after installing the belle refresh update, i cannot see the english character in opera mini,instead i see rectangular boxes in place of english character,but the other language like bangla showed okay in opera mini,i uninstall & then reinstall opera mini but problem remain same.If any body help me i will be gr8full.

Dear you should better take a visit to http://operamini.com from your mobile and install the app to external memory. If it works, fine. And if not, open your external memory i.e. Memory Card in your computer, ask your computer to show all hidden folder and files and erase all files with word opera mini. After cleaning all hidden files of opera mini reinstall opera. It'll work.
If somehow, it does't work, consult opera's members as they'll send you a compatible language.
