Nokia 225

Anyone know if this App works on 225 cant find the phone to choose from in the list in store..Facebook Messenger.
http://store.ovi.com/content/506508?clickSource=browse&categoryId=21&contentArea=applications&pos=2

Hi billbobaggins,
The Nokia 225 doesn't have a Store app. This is the reason why the phone model is not available in the Store website's selection list to be able to download the Facebook Messenger app. An option is to use the phone's inbuilt FB app to view updates and chat with your friends. Just launch the FB app and go to the Messages icon shown below.
Hope this information helps.

  • Nokia 225 Dual Sim firmware 20.00.11 greek languag...

    I have a Nokia 225 Dual Sim (Model RM-1011 Code 059V5S6)
    I had firmware 10.01.11
I upgraded with Lumia Software Recovery Tool to 20.00.11 and greek language disappeared.
Is it possible to downgrade? Because the phone is used by my 74 years old dad and english is not an option for him.

The Nokia feature phones never had the ability to downgrade. Are you really certain that the new firmware that got installed is the same as that was previous? Because they usually don't miss out on languages as such.
Does the about section display the same product code (059V5S6) as printed on the label under the battery?

  • Nokia 225 Arabic Language Pack

Is it possible to add the arabic language pack to the nokia 225? My mother just bought a new nokia but she loves arabic and it is necessary that she can read it on her phone. If not, could someone suggest a simple nokia (not smartphone) with the arabic preinstalled. The product code of the phone is 059V5W8. Thanks.

With a Nokia Series 30+ (MediaTek) based phone like yours, the set of languages depend on the firmware variant. The firmware variant is identified through the Nokia Product Code which is printed on the label on the phone (059…). You have a phone designated for Germany. If you had 059V5Z3 for example, you would get the Arabic language. However, you might loose other languages this way, like German. Which languages do you need?
Officially, only a Nokia Care Center is able to change the firmware variant, officially.

Both Apple iPhone and Windows Phone can be used as feature phones, when you disable the mobile data. Apple iPhone comes with all languages preinstalled and costs around 280 € new. With a Windows Phone, you need a Wi-Fi once to download additional languages – this can be done directly from its user-interface. I recommend to start with the Nokia Lumia 730, because of its compass sensor for pedestrian navigation – which starts at 180 € currently.

Mhm. Something is wrong. I would talk to my retailer because you got a Nokia 220 Dual SIM designated not for Estonia but Finland.

  • Nokia 225 apps

    Hello,
I would like to ask if Nokia store could be available for Nokia 225 Dual Sim in the future.
I also cannot find this model in support page.
How could I know how does Nokia support this model?
    Thank you in advance.

Glad to see you here in the Nokia Support Discussions, atiropoli. The Store app is not available in the Nokia 220 Dual SIM devices that we currently have in the market. Because of this, the Nokia 225 Dual SIM isn't included in the Store website. We appreciate your interest though and we'll take note of this as a feature suggestion from you.
BTW, there are support pages designed for the Nokia 225. However, these pages are intended for specific regions. I suggest that you check the local MS websites and search for the Nokia 225 Dual SIM support pages. Click here: http://www.microsoft.com/en/mobile/locale/. Also, the Nokia Support Discussions is a great place to find support for the Nokia 225 and for other MS phone models.
    Hope this helps.

  • Nokia 225 DS RM-1011 : Band information please

    Hi,
    Ref: Nokia 225 DS RM-1011
The Nokia product page/specification website states this Phone to be Quad Band (pls see detailed specifications):
    http://www.nokia.com/in-en/phones/phone/225-dual-sim/specifications/ Shows Quad Band
However, when I went to purchase it, the box shows only Dual Band with the bands written on the label. Please, can the experts help clarify. I am specifically looking for a Quad Band physical key phone for my father, and have tried researching this info, but have failed to conclude.
    Thank you.

Appreciate your reply very much, thank you.
You are right, I should look for the 301 instead, thanks for that suggestion as well. Also, from the phone comparison website that you pointed to, here's how it looks with 225 Dual SIM instead...
    http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6287&idPhone2=5323
The 225 DS shows up as Quad Band in the comparison. But I agree with you completely and I should go by what the Box says, especially in the absence of a clear data sheet for the phone or RM-1011 or a clear list of all available models for the same.
    Regards.

  • Nokia suit on nokia 225

Is the nokia suite compatible with the Nokia 225? And if not, is there an other app that can be used instead?
Also: the Nokia 225 won't connect with a plantronic ML18 headset.
Does any one know if those 2 devices are compatible?
    Thank you!

You are not the only one complaing about this issue.
Did you consider to go for a Nokia Series 40 phone like the Nokia 6303 classic (without i, because of its camera and E-mail client) or a Nokia 301 (still offers a Micro-USB port for software self-service)?

  • Nokia 225 Dual SIM in Finland

I cannot find any retailer in Finland where I could purchase Nokia 220 Dual SIM. If I ordered it from the UK or Germany, would it be compatible in Finland. Can I add Finnish language option then?

Cannot answer you question directly. However, because the Nokia 22x are not Nokia Series 40 but a complete new and different operating system based on MediaTek, did you consider the Nokia 208?

  • Nokis asha 225 feed back problem

    Hello there.
I have just received a new mobile phone for work - Nokia 225 dual sim. A few days later I got this message - see in the attachment and I can't get rid of it! It asks me to "Rate your NOKIA 225". Unfortunately I have already rated it 5 times and the message is still on the screen. There is no message in the inbox regarding this issue.
The message dissapears when the phone is turned off and on again, but in a few minutes - it's there again!
There is no info in the manual neither nokia support page, so I thought maybe here I may get any answer?
Thank you very much in advance.

I have given up to determine the Internet APN of network provider in India … therefore
do you know your Internet APN for your type of contract? Furthermore, please,
dial *#0000# to determine the firmware version of your Nokia (just the Vxx.xx.xx line please). Finally, we need the
Nokia Product Code, which is printed below the battery (CODE: 7-letters).

  • 225 - All incoming mms/sms end up in a folder call...

    Hello!
I bought a Nokia 225 for my mum, cause it has a big display and ease of use. I don't live in the same country as her, so I can unfortunately not just pop over and help her when things don't work out.
I have bought an extra 8 gb memory card to the phone.
She calls me and says that she cannot receive sms and mms anymore. First she got 3 messages saying that the content was too big (it's mms with attachment with a photo taken with an iphone), and then they stopped coming altogether. At that time she had around 3-4 mms:es already in her inbox.
After some fiddling she said she found all the "missing" mmses in folder under Messages -> Alt. > Control messages, and the folder was called "block.medd" (block.mess).
I helped her save down all mms attachment to the memory card, and then we emptied the block.medd folder and her inbox. I sent one sms and mms to her as a test, and she received them fine.
I wonder, why did this happen, is her internal memory so small that it can only store 3-4 mms?? Where are those messages in block.medd stored? Can you somehow set the phone to automatically store messages she receives on the memory card so she won't have this problem?
    Kind regards
    anji

    Hello, thanks for your reply!
They did not have any of those models in the store I was at (big elecntronic chain in Sweden). I guess I should have read up more, but my mum's old phone had stopped working, and she needed a new one asap. We choose this model because they had it on a special offer + the screen is so big, and her eye sight isn't the best anymore.
I guess I will look up the Nokie 301 to see if it's possible to still get hold of it, she cannot use this phone, if the internal memory can only hold 3-5 mmses, she got it specifically to be able to receive and look at pics of her grandchild, and it's too complicated for her to have to save down every pic to the memory card and delete all mms:es. Her old phone was not like that, it was a Nokia too, unfortunately I don't know the model by heart.

  • 225 UI, messaging interface

Hi, I all, I've spent hours trolling through forums trying to find out if the Nokia 225 Messaging has the option to view messages via a conversations list(full list of messages sent and recieved to one person viewable on a single page).
My wife just hates smartphones but likes the messaging interface on them.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to pleasing the wife!
