Nokia 2310 charger specs needed

I have lost my Nokia 2310 charger. I was hoping to buy an universal charger for it but I need to know some info about the specs before I can buy it. If anyone have any Nokia 2310 charger I hope you can let me know the followings:
1. Output voltage
2. Output Amp
3. Polarity (i.e. is the inside of the part of the plugin positive or negative.)

Looking at my Nokia charger for Nokia 1100 which also has 3.5mm charging pin:-
Output voltage: 3.7v
Output amperage: 355mA
Polarity: inside core +ve

My 5530 charger works fine charging the LD-3W; its because nokia only every 1 of 2 chargers the large tip or the small tip.
Yes the LD-3W works really well and except for the LD-3W having some extra battery life I heard that the 3w and 4w are really quite similar.
I am not too sure on the specs of them for accuracy and positioning but when i use mine it updates quite quickly (with only little jumps while in my car) and it gets the right position all the time.
I believe the LD-4W should work fine with the 5530 also.
And if you do not have nokia/ovi maps then you should get it. Its free and it has full navigation now.

Its up to you but I just choose download from pc which is at the bottom as it wont cost you data charges etc for using you mobile.
++Next install the app on your phone

and choose what maps you want to download and by choosing update you can check your app is up to date.

NOKIA 2310 On and Off problem

Hi.
I'd NOKIA 2310. I'm using this for the last 3 years. I'd never attached this fone with Computer.But now-a-days I'm having some strange problem.
When i switch on the mobile its automatically switch off and then on again. It Atuomatically Switch on and off again and again many times till it gets ON fully. someone told me that its software get corrupted you may need to flash out the software and re-install.
I need to know how to fix this problem? Is there any software available by Nokia to flash the software and re-install it? I already reset it factory default I also tried the 3 button reset but both does not work for me.

Download Ovi Suite on your pc and reinstall or update (if there's a newer firmware version for your phone) your firmware.

Nokia 2310 suddenly displaying numbers only instea...

I was a happy user of a Nokia 2310 for 12 months. It was set to show the caller's name on the screen rather the number, for callers yet registered in the directory.
But suddenly it doesn't do that anymore: only the numbers, I have to look each time to whom the number applies to know who is trying to call me !
Has anybody an idea of what to do in such a case? The only thing I did just before the problem occured is copying all the telephone directory on the Sim card.
When I saw there was a problem, the first thing I did then is erasing the directory from the Sim card then. But nothing changes. I made a factory reset as well without success.
If anybody knows the solution to that, I would be very grateful.

When a callers number is shown instead of the name you had for the caller it usually means that you have the same number on two or more contacts. This can be either in phone memory or sim memory. Go through your phone book and check if this is true.
Another option you might like to try is to set the selected memory for the phonebook (contacts) to either SIM only or Phone only and not SIM and Phone. The fastes option is Phone memory.
My suggestions is to back your contacts up by copying them to the SIM card but you keep the selected memory for the phone book set to Phone only.
On my phone I select this by going :
Menu -> Contacts -> Settings -> Memory in use -> Phone

Nokia 2310-not displaying caller name

I've just bought a Nokia 2310 as they're very cheap as a standby phone but have a problem. I've copied the numbers from my simcard to the phone but if someone calls the phone, when it rings it only displays the number and not the name. This is obviously pointless as I would never know who's calling and makes missed calls a nightmare.
What have I done wrong?

The number in your phonebook has to match the one which is calling EXACTLY. So not 0489/235647 for instance, but you need to enter this number as +33489/235647 in your phonebook (the sign is important too). +33 is the country number of course.
If you're still not sure, save the number from messages you have recieved and enter that in your phonebook. Doing this will ensure that the messenger's or caller's name is displayed.
This is something I feel the manual should have adressed. You have no idea how much this **bleep** me off, until I found it a day later.

Nokia 6233 Charging Problems

I keep getting an error message when i try to charge up my nokia 6233 "Charger not supported".
Can anyone give me any clues as to why this has just started to happen?
I also received the same message when i used the car charger.
I have had the phone for quite a while and have never had this problem before.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

It's either a software fault or hardware failure.
Backup everthing you want to keep then download and install the nokia software updater:

Nokia 2310 - silence

My Nokia 2310 has been "modified" by our grandson!! Where the headset icon used to appear when I connected it, there is car. I cannot get this icon to disappear and there is no sound to be heard when I dial out nor when I receive a call. I get no ringing tone nor do I hear anything the person answering the phone, although they can hear me!
Secondly text messages on screen is now twice the size as usual!
I know this is an old phone but it serves me well.

NOKIA 2310 turnes on/off

I have old Nokia 2310 and when i turn it on it automatically Switches off again and again many till it gets on fully. I tried to update to the latest firmware but I do not know how it works. I have got a cable CA-45, but is not detectable by windows when connected, even the driver supplied is not working. I have also tried using Pc Suite & Ovi Suite, no hope. Nokia 2310 V.3.31 RM-189 28/08/2006 I see that the latest firmware is v6.52 if I am not wrong. I have other phones but my wife likes it, does not want to replace it. It has long battery life and just for talk, nothing else. So, there is any way to upgrade to the latest firmware? Do I need any program, apart from Nokia Pc Suite which does not work, to install the latest one? I also have the RM-189_0652_2310, is around 100mb, but I do not know how to use it. Any help is welcome. Regards

i am registering complaint against nokia service and nokia mobile care because of the my nokia xl is not charging properly when charging the phone phone will charging slowly.when restarts the phone shows the actual bettery.

Restoring Factory Settings on Nokia 2310 HELP?

Hello,
I'm selling my nokia 2310 to someone I don't know very well, and would like ALL my settings returned to the factory settings before handing it over. I've manually deleted all my contact, call lists etc, but would like to know how to get everything back to the factory setting. The nokia manual isn't helpful at all.
I've tried turning off the phone, holding the call button, number 3 and the * key, while turning it back on, as someone suggested to me, but this didn't work. Just left me with twisted fingers!
Can someone please tell me how to restore the factory settings on the Nokia 2310 please?

Problem sending texts on Nokia 2310

I am having problem sending texts on my nokia 2310. I have plenty of credit, and service, and can make outgoing calls. I have looked everywhere in settings and can't find anything wrong. I think some sort of barring may have been put on text messages whenit was in my pocket and unlocked, but i don't know how to remove it. Help would be very gratefully received,

please check the message centre number.if any of your friends are having any phone go to message settings and check for message centre number and key in the same number.it should work.if still it is same you just update it with latest firmware and it should work fine.cheers.

Clock work abnormally in Nokia 2310

Im using Nokia 2310 V5.10. The problem is the clock is running slow and in 12 HRS it will slow by 1HR. Can anybody share some troubleshooting steps, as I tried switch off the mobile and removed the battery but still not solved.

Try as I might, I just cannot find the correct menu sequence to edit contact NAMES on this phone. I can edit the number but can't ascertain how to edit the name. Help!
