  • Nokia 5610 key sequence to turn on Bluetooth

    Hi!
The screen on my Nokia 5610 stopped working. Or I can see that it's working since the light on the screen changes on startup. Though it's still black. Does anybody know how to fix the screen?
Anyway I want contacts back that I thought I saved on my SIM card but I didn't. So can you help me out with the key sequence to turn on bluetooth?
I think it's something like left top button (shortcuts),down x4... Or something like this.
    Thank you in advance!!

  • Nokia 2700 bluetooth key sequence (broken display)...

Hi all, I have a nokia 2700 thats screen is broke after i dropped it. I need to get some things off and need to know the key sequence for turning on my bluetooth so i can browse it with my mac, i tried to download a plug in but need isync which i dont have and cant afford so if anyone can tell me how to turn bluetooth on i would be so so so greatful!

Unfortunately it is a bit complicated as your phone does not support copy/paste. There is a workaround though, make a full backup of your phone with Nokia Suite (as you are using Mac, you'll need to get an access to a Windows PC to do this).
If you do not have another Nokia 2700 available, your only option to get the data is to use an application that can open up the backup file and show it's contents. Please see this thread for more information on that. Please note that it is not an official Nokia application, so we cannot provide you with instructions on how to use it.
    Hope this helps,

  • Nokia 6111 Broken Screen - Turn on Bluetooth

    Hi,
I am yet another person with a Nokia 6111 with a broken screen. I have read through multiple foums and found lots of people asking the same question:
What key strokes do I need to turn on Bluetooth?
Remebber: I can not see the screen, so your instructions will need to be something like this:
    Center button (opens menu)
    Down x3 (Settings)
    Select
    Down x2 (Connectivity)
    Select (etc)
** NOTE: THE ABOVE IS NOT CORRECT - THIS IS AN EXAMPLE! **
If you can exaplin what each stage is doing so much the better.
Once I have turned Bluetooth on I plan on connecting to PC Suite to copy contacts - if you are able to check what I need to do to set up and accept a new connection then I would be REALLY grateful!
    Thanks,
    littleIdiot

    Try this:
    Centre Button (Menu)
    Left
    Centre Button (settings)
    Down x6
Centre Button x3 (connectivity > bluetooth)
    Up (on)
    Centre Button (select)
If it works you will hear a beep.
It may be easier to transfer your contacts if you get a data cable.

  • My Nokia N8, doesn't want to turn on bluetooth

Hey My N8 doesn't want to Turn On bluetooth, i bought it on mid-June, and it was working well but suddenly, didn't want to turn on Bluetooth i always have to Restart it, because when i go to Settings>Conectivity>Bluetooth then i select Turn on Bluetooth it freezes then i have to turn it off and on again then it will be able to Turn On Bluetooth, anyone please help please. Thanks in advance

It might be worth removing battery for 10 minutes and then replacing. Unfortunately with S40 devices there is not the scope for carrying out a "hard reset" as with S60 devices so your options are very limited here, as too old a device to allow you to re-install firmware with Nokia Software Updater.

  • Can't turn On Bluetooth device on NOKIA 7230

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum!
    Try the following steps:
Switch off and on the device.
Reset the settings to their original values. On your phone, go to Settings > Restore factory settings > Settings only > Enter the security code. The default code is 12345 unless you changed it.
Update or re-install the phone's software using the Nokia Suite. To do this, open the Nokia Suite after downloading it from this link: www.nokia.com/nokiasuite and then connect your phone to your computer via USB cable. Log in to your Nokia account, go to software icon (arrow pointing downward), and then follow the next step.
If that didn't solve your concern, you should bring your device to the Nokia Care Point to have it assessed by the technicians.
For the location of the Nokia Care Point in your area, please contact your local support for further assistance:

  • How to Connect Nokia 2330 Classic with laptop or p...

    Hi All
I just bought my new nokia 2330 last week, when i try to connect my 2330 classic with my laptop the phone is not detacting.Pls help me in this regard. We connet 2330 with laptop or pc with cable or not???
    - Shree

    Hi all.
First and all, be aware that there are dozens of Nokia phones, and all have different specifications. If someone buys a phone to take pictures, then the 2330C is a bad choice. The port that the device has, is not a USB port. It is a Nokia proprietary port for service only.
@shreeg and others with similar issues (altough this is late): check for Bluetooth compatibility first at http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/pc-suites/compatibility-and-download
@mojojo and others with similar issues (altough this is late): troubleshoot your laptop and mobile phone Bluetooth. Check if your BT drivers are compatible with Nokia suites. Test them with other BT devices (i.e. BT headset, other phone). Also test the pairing at a different location. BT is a radio wave based connection which can suffer from external interference caused by other radio waves emitting devices, or by electromagnetic or electrostatic fields nearby (these are caused by almost anything that runs on electric power)
@everyone: my advise is for you to check the following web page for info on device specs http://www.forum.nokia.com/Devices/Device_specifications/matrix_all_1.html to know which type of local connections are available on the devices. It's on the "Local connectivity" section.

  • How to use my nokia 2330 with my macbook pro

I have a Nokia 2330 and was able to transfer photos using the nokia pc suite and a bluetooth adapter on my old PC.  But now I have a new MacBook Pro and I can't get it to work.
Is there any software downloads?  How can this be done?  Both phone and mac have bluetooth.

    @Zulumazu
Unfortunately not compatible with Nokia Multimedia Transfer:http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-multimedia-transfer/download
You can set it up as Modem with Mac so doesn't Mac find your 2330 Classic?

  • Sending Telephone Directory, Pictures and Music from Nokia 2330 to Palm TX

I'm trying to connect my Palm TX to a Nokia 2330 Classic to send telephone numbers, pictures and music to my Palm. There is no problem using bluetooth to dial from Palm to Nokia 2330. Now, how can I send my info from 2330 to my Palm TX? Any ideas anyone?
    Post relates to: Palm TX

I don't think iTunes has a conversion tool.  There might be third-party apps out there, but one sure-fire way to do it is to burn your tunes to a CD, then re-rip them back your PC as .mp3 files.  A little clunky, but it's a way.

  • Nokia 2330 contacts.

Hey there, I wondering if anyone can help. I have a Nokia 2330 but the screen recently broke. All I can see now is roughly the top third of the screen. Obviously I need a new phone but unfortunately my contacts are saved to the phone, not the sim. Could somebody please spell out how to move all contacts from phone memory to sim memory, bearing in mind that I basically can't read what's on the screen. In other words, if I have to scroll down, please say how many times I have to press down and so on.
    Thanks in advance!!

The best option would be to use your new phone (assuming it is another Nokia) to pull the data across over Bluetooth. The method will vary depending on which phone you get.

  • Nokia ovi suite 3.0.0.290 bluetooth

As given in the Help section..
Before connecting your device via Bluetooth, note the following:
You need to have Bluetooth hardware and software installed on your computer. For a list of the Bluetooth software versions that are supported by Nokia Ovi Suite, see System requirements. To check which Bluetooth stack versions are installed on your computer, click Help > About Nokia Ovi Suite > System information.
Enable Bluetooth wireless technology on your computer.
Edit the Bluetooth settings of your mobile device. To do this, go to Settings > Connectivity or Connection depending on the term used on your device. Turn Bluetooth on and make your device visible to other Bluetooth devices. Then other Bluetooth devices, such as your computer, are allowed to find your mobile device, and can start connecting to it. Refer to the user guide of your device for more detailed instructions.
    Troubleshooting Bluetooth connections
Bluetooth is not available for you to select In the list of connection types, the Bluetooth option can in some cases be disabled. Should this happen, the reason might be one of the following:
You do not have appropriate Bluetooth hardware or software installed on your computer. To check which Bluetooth stack versions are installed on your computer, click Help > About Nokia Ovi Suite > System information. For a list of the Bluetooth software versions that are supported by Nokia Ovi Suite, see System requirements.
The Bluetooth software on your computer has been disabled.
Check these and make the necessary corrections before you try to connect your device via Bluetooth again.
Your mobile device is not found
If your device is not shown on the list of Bluetooth devices found, the reason might be one of the following:
You have not turned Bluetooth on in the Bluetooth settings of your device.
You have not made your device visible to other Bluetooth devices.
To edit the Bluetooth settings of your device, go to Settings > Connectivity or Connection depending on the term used on your device. Turn Bluetooth on and make your device visible to other Bluetooth devices. Then click Search again.

  • Nokia 2330 music player help please...

Just purchased this phone, and user guide has no info on how to download to the media player! I had hoped the PC suite would be able to be downloaded to use bluetooth, but the phone is not listed as one that is compatable with that software?! Anyone able to advise on how I'm suppose to be able to use this feature or if it is usable with the PC software?????

Hmm. I don't have this model...so what I'm suggesting is a best guess based on the fairly simple phone model you have there:
Well first, you'll need to convert any mp3 files you have into a mobile optimised format (AAC) as your phone isn't intended to play mp3 music and there's not a whole of space for music.
Next use the Nokia Suite and connect your phone via BT.
Then, go to file manager on Nokia Suite > Locate the converted music > Copy and paste/Drag and drop the file into your phone (Nokia Phone Browser > Nokia 2330 > C: ...there should be some folder for music there...)
Then go to your music player and try to check if it's there?
    The other options are:
    1. to purchase music from online, but be careful what you buy because there's a lot of MP3 mobile music which is NOT for your phone.
    2. get a friend who has .aac format music files and have him/her bluetooth it to your phone...
Do let me know if any of this has helped. If not, please indicate what you have tried.

  • Hi, how to turn on bluetooth on my new i-Pad2?

I'm trying to pair my Apple wireless keyboard. Turning the bluetooth option will show the bluetooth symbol gray out at the top of the i-Pad and can not connect any devices. Please help.

it is best to do the initial pairing from the BT area in settings.  (on general screen). when you select BT, it will begin to search for available devices.  The device also has to be on, and in discoverable mode.  When the two find each other, the device will be listed on that screen, and the two will try to pair.  In a lot of cases - you will get a message to enter a code on the device or your ipad keyboard to finish the pairing.  Once they are paired, you should not need to do that step again, although sometimes you may need to 'search' for the device.
Note Meg's answer above - if you have the older white keyboard, you are out of luck.
Lastly - not related to your question - if you are using a BT keyboard, and at some point bump a key (like if you are carrying it around) - it may start up the ipod function, and you will get music coming out of your briefcase.  IOf you are done using your BT keyboard - remember to turn it off!

  • Ugh! How to navigate when you have a dead Mouse / Trackpad or accidentally turned off bluetooth

    Wow...
Did a stupid thing and turned off bluetooth on my Mac and watched as my Apple Magic Mouse and Apple Magic Trackpad dissapeared and left me stranded.
For those of you dead in the water unable to navigate your Mac here are some tips:
Reboot your Mac and Zap your PRAM which will force the Mac to turn on bluetooth again.  Shut down the computer by holding the power button.  Hold down Command (the Apple icon 4 leaf clover key), Option, P and R keys together and hold them all down after you turn on the Mac.  If you do this before the grey screen you'll see the Mac chime and restart.  You can now let go of your keys and see if BlueTooth can now discover your devices.
If you haven't already swapped out batteries in your Mouse, Keyboard or Trackpad please do so.  Be sure to not mix batteries of different types in the device.
If you have keyboard access, but not your mouse or trackpad you can press the Option Key 5 times and then your numeric pad should move the mouse allowing you to navigate to things like System Preferences, Bluetooth to turn it back on!
If you have a USB mouse you can plug it in, navigate your mac and turn bluetooth back on.
If you have Apple Screen Share or Apple Remote Access you can use another Mac to log into your Mac and turn on bluetooth.
Serious Accessbility Feature Requests for Apple (and yes I know this isn't the forum or place to put this, but it needs to be said):
You need to go back and fix 10.8.4 to allow complete navigation of a Mac with a keyboard only.  You can use Command + SpaceBar and type System Preferences and then type BlueTooth, but once you are in the Bluetooth settings you can't use your keyboard to navigate to the ON option.
You can't also navigate into System Preferences / Accessibility to turn Enable Mouse Keys (you need a mouse to turn this option on!).  The Mouse & Trackpad options should be made so that a keyboard could turn on/off this feature, because a lot of people trying to turn on this feature are folks like me who lost mouse/trackpad access!!
Hopefully this helps others!  Hopefully Apple will do some basic UI improvements to bring back OS navigation for users who only have access to a keyboard or just a mouse/trackpad (no physical keyboard).  These kinds of tests should be part of every major OS release!
