Nokia 2630 problems

1. I have set an alarm for 24/11 on 23/11 and the alarm sound was heard on 23/11 after I had selected Save and went through the options.
2. I received a phone call, and I couldn't hear anything from the caller; also the phone started behaving strangely because it was vibrating for no apparent reason and I had to switch it off and on again, after which it seemed to be working fine.
Has anyone encountered similar issues before?

try a factory reset the code is 12345 if the problem persists take it to a nokia care point

Hello,
I manage to make a connection between my Nokia 2630 and other phones. The problem is that with my Nokia 2630 I cannot (I didn't find how to) browse the other phone's files. I can send files though (from my 2630), from each file's properties. All the others phones have this options (file browser) in a bluetooth menu.
Do you know the existence of a file browser in the phone? Or a third party application?

Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the sending device. Do not skip the "Receive Using BT" step on the receiving BB...nothing will transfer if you do. Also do not skip initiating the send on the sending device -- you said nothing about that, so I must assume you did not do that step.

Turn off GPRS Nokia 2630

Dear All
How do I turn off GPRS on my Nokia 2630. My service provider charges per byte and I have friends who had their bills cranked up to insane (and I mean insane!!) levels just because they had the settings wrong.
Then I must comment a little on the usability of the menus. How come everything is so much worse no compared to what it used to be on the older phones. My old 6230 was good but after many years it started to fall apart.
Everything is slow and you have to wait after each key press. Icons are not clear and you have to actually try before you know what the icon means. I mean almost every cheap homepage have icons and links that are quite clear, so why can't Nokia do it right?

Suggestion for a new firmware (nokia 2630 phone)

Hello,
I've bought nokia 2630, and revealed one weakness.
When i use "go to" menu or some other menus i can't use numbers to
move through menu (then i push "5" i go to point #5 and go in; in my old nokia 6021 this worked fine).
So such thing in 2630 works only in main menu, but not in "go to" or "functions" and some others menus.
I've interested in service center about new firmware, but they said that i have the latest version.
So i decided to post here to ask official developers to think about new firmware there this function will work properly.

Hello everyone,
I wonder if you will be released shortly a new version of firmware for the Nokia 2630.
My Nokia has the latest firmware V 07.60.
But it happens that some lose the signal and reboots itself.
The phone memory is empty.
With a new firmware release could fix this?

Nokia 820 problems

Just bought two Nokia 820s, one for my wife and one for myself. Awesome phones except for a couple of issues. First, the GPS and Nokia Here Maps. When I am at home the maps show me in the right spot but reports (showing the address) that I am 3 houses down the street. When I am at work, the phone shows my position correctly but reports that I am in the Elementary School across the street. Hmmmm. gMaps does not have this problem and seems to have more detailed maps about my city and roadways. So it is a Nokia software problem? I like the Here functionality better, but the accuracy and detail are missing compared to other map services so I have to keep more than one app on my phone, using precious space. Second, I would really like to be able to sync my phone calendar with my google calendar and tasks. Right now I have to use third party apps so I have more than one calendar app (I prefer to use the one on my phone with live tiles!!!!) and more than one task app, etc... and more than one travel app. Also it would be nice to separate the people I want in my phone book from the people I have on social accounts (I will NEVER be calling most of the people on my facebook account, but there are people I call on a regular basis and I hate scrolling through or having to search a gajillion people to find who or what business I am looking for) and still have them listed, just seperately.
Thanks for listening and I sincerely hope these issues can be addressed.

Were you running gMaps on the same phone? If so then that would suggest the innacuracy in probably in the mapping data. This being the case, you should report the error to the map data provider using the link below.

Unfortunately there is no way you will be able to get the information from your phone saved. In order to have that done the phone must be in working order.
The phone might however still be repairable and if Nokia cannot fix it for you then perhaps you can try a general cellular repair shop. If the problem is hardware related they might be able to fix it with out you losing your data stored on the phone. If they have to reload the firmware then you will loose everything on the phone unfortunately.

I cant send pics from my Nokia 2630?

I have a Nokia 2630 and I cannot seem to send any images from it? The image either sits in my outbox or it says unable to send image. Can someone help?

check that your settings are set up correctly you can get your provider to send the settings or try them from nokia site

Lokked around and it seems like your best bet is to connect it to your pc via bluetooth, (You might have to buy a bluetooth dongle) or send them to another phone via bluetooth and then to your computer via usb.
I believe in doing things in a way that is most accessible to me instead of taking too long trying to find an easy solution
maybe someone close to you has a phone with bluetooth and usb connectivity, be nice to that person and they could just let you use it

Take your phone to your nearest Nokia authorized service/repair center, and they should be able to reset the phone and the security code along with that.
Find a repair center through the "Contact us" link at the upper right hand side of this page.

This is probably a really stupid question, but i cant locate the calculator on my Nokia 2630 anywhere!
Can anyone tell me where it should be?

If you refer Pg. 72 of the User Guide , there is No Scientific Calculator available on this device..Hence re-installing the Firmware MAY not help .. As a result, the only way to have it is thru' Nokia Store as mentioned by adrianhughes . Have a look Here

I don't think so. If it was based on Symbian/S60, then there are web cam apps for those phones, but the 2630 is based on S40 and limited capabilities as far as what user-installable applications can do.
