My mobile's keypad is not working. If i press the soft keys and navigation keys It's showing the number 4 and 7. What i do now-

for proper audio and video playback, it might be required to convert the videos to phone supported format.
There is a converter called Format Factory for your PC, you can download it from http://www.pcfreetime.com/

Nokia 2690 streaming problems

Initially, my nokia 2690 was able to stream all of videos on youtube and other websites. But a few days earlier, it has started giving an error message "File format not supported" for almost all videos while streaming. I don't think that there might ad something wrong with the streaming settings as it still streams few of the videos from the internet. I use built in opera mini browser that takes of directly to the built in music player for streaming. My phone software version is 10.10. Please help.

have you checked if there are any firmware updates available for your device, via checking via Nokia Suite on your PC? if there are any updates, please update to the latest version offered. Failign that, you can try Restoring your phone to factory settings.
If that doesn't work either, then i would also check that you still have the correct network carrier settings, and data plan settings, and that your data plan with your network carrier is still activated. Also check the condition of your SIM card as that may be an issue.
Failing that, you may need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care for inspection: http://nokia.com/support

In my nokia 2690 phone, for some videos no audio is coming. what to do? please tell me a solution. As all know, nokia phones only support 3gp videos. I also download 3gp videos. but sound not coming. please write me a solution or a special software download link.

Nokia X6 buttons problem - pls help

Hi everyone,
I just installed nokia v40 software on my Nokia x6 and after installing all new features, my answer, menu, and exit (hang up) buttons doesn't work.
When someone calls me, I have to answer on touch screen. I cant always do that.
Please help me if you have some solution to this problem.

do you mean the swipe to unlock feature, where you must drag your finger from right to left?
that way you unlock the device.
when the device is locked, press the menu or power key and the "swipe to unlock" sequence will start, then drag your finger and you will unlock it.

Nokia 6700 button problem

The wife has the Nokia 6700 classic phone, but last week she dropped it put it all back together and now the 0 space button is very temperamental, sometimes its works fine but now you have to press the button several times for it to work, i took the phone apart but i cannot see anything untoward that might be wrong, anyone here offer any help please.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum.
If one of the keys does not work anymore after dropping the phone, it will have been damaged and will need to get repaired.
Please visit a Care centre in your area where your phone can get checked. You will be albe to get an indication of the cost for repairing the phone beforehand.

Wrong sms receiving time problem in nokia 2690

I recently bought a nokia 2690. I have change the time and date of the phone but whenever I receive a new text message the time is delayed or different. Can anyone help me please

I don't think there is any other setting like setting the time zone in your phone.. so nothing more... By the way is the time difference/delay remaining constant for all the nessages or changing ? and if constant by how much minutes ?

Nokia 2690 is hanging

Hi to all
My Nokia mobile model is 2690
For messaging when I open new message and press "add" for adding recent contact or for adding any group, phone is getting hanged and I have to switch it off and remove battery and keep it again. I don't know what happening.
Now I am managing sending messages by going to contact and in options selecting "send message". No problem while sending message like this. And no other problem.
Please help me in resolving this problem.

i have that problem too when i get my sim card in my LG CF 360 and insert my sim in Nokia 2690 then for messaging i open new message too and Press the "add" for adding recent contacts and my phone getting hanged too what should we do ?? ? ? HELP PLEASE! A.S.A.P

Nokia 5800 screen problems when unlocking

When I unlock my phone, I get horizontal and/or vertical lines - I can't use the phone during this time, because the display is so badly affected!
After about 5-10 seconds, the home screen will show perfectly normal. When I either lock the phone, or lock it manually, then unlock it a few minutes later the lines come back again!
Is this a hardware or software fault? If it is a software fault, how can I resolve this annoying problem?

I have exactly the same fault on my 5800 to the point where the phone is completely unusable.
Used the "Contact Us" facility 5 days ago - still waiting for a reply/acknowledgment.
I bought the phone in mid February so it was quite an early release model, V11 frimware, but the screen fault was there early on but only very occassionally. Had the phone updated to V20 but the problem was still there. However it got progressively worse until the phone became unusable. The screen can only be restored by powering off and on again but once the screen has gone into saver mode it cannot be restored via the unlock button, or any other means other than a power down.
Sent the phone to the Nokia "Anovo" repair centre only to have it returned 10days later with exactly the same fault as I sent it in with. The return advice note stated that details of the repair would be found on the enclosed letter - there was no enclosed letter. The return form states that all phones sent in would be automatically updated to the latest firmware - mine wasn't, even though Nokia notified me 2 weeks previously to inform me that there was an update for my phone.
Rang Nokia Care last week, (Thursday) to be told that someone would contact me by phone, (borrowed phone obviously, as I had stated my 5800 was unusable). Friday and I had not been contacted. Rang again Friday morning 10.30am only to be told someone would contact me. Left a contact phone number again. Friday afternoon - still no contact so rang again. This time I was informed that someone should have told me that I wouldn't be contacted until Monday as thet were all "Very Busy" - I wonder why. Today, Monday afternoon stil no one has been in contact so I suppose I am going to have to go through the whole routine again.
I am very close to the point where I am going to give up and demand a refund for an item that is clearly "Not of Merchantable Quality" or "Fit for Purpose" which would be a shame as when it worked I was really pleased with it. I bought the phone outright so I have no contract redress so am completely in the hands of Nokia. I know that Nokia is a very large company and I am but a single customer but from all the forums I have lookes at since this saga started I am driven to believe that the 5800 is causing Nokia some serious problems.
If I do finally get some acknowledge from Nokia I will inform this forum.

Very slow GPRS on Nokia 2690

I bought Nokia 2690 yesterday. It's a nice phone but there is one problem when I try to use GPRS it works very slow. I am using Ufone (Pakistan). Plz can anyone help me solving this issue.

thats not because of your phone, did you try your sim in some other phones? Speed or bandwith depends on your network. If someone using same network is faster than your's contact your service provider

Youtube not working in nokia 2690

Hi,
I have been trying to run youtube videos in opera mini browser in my nokia 2690 without any success.
I do not suspect a problem with connection speed because websites load quite swiftly on the EDGE connection. Could it be that my service provider is not supporting streaming ( i think there is a particular protocol for it, i am not sure though).
Also, is there any version of bolt browser that runs on this phone ?

Youtube page which loads on your opera mini shouldn't be pc version(full screen) .
You should visit mobile version m.youtube.com.
Make sure that your default browser works and the access point is correct and it is activated for all applications.
For bolt browser visit boltbrowser.com.
Using opera mini links your music player to play youtube videos so there is no need of any streaming settings and it is better than bolt.

I have Z10STL100-1 after official update Z10STL100-1/10.3.1.1565 having caller screen Buttons problem these are little above not like it's on 10.2 very below position. I security wipe and restart many times still same position of buttons? See pic attached

Did you check if there are no objects on that index slide that have a fading transition? You should set the transition for every object to 'No transition'. The transition can be found in the Properties dialog, tab Options.

Nokia 2690 vs Nokia C2-03

Well I have bought nokia c2-03 but after using it for few hours I was really get disappointed as when it is compared to nokia 2690 it lacks :
There is no streaming support
Text in the text field can't be either marked or cut, copy, paste
there is no voice commands
Moreover there is Personal Area Network(PAN) support for bluetooth as seen in every s40 phones
Its really disappointing that these features are not there in Nokia c2-03 which is more than 75% expensive than nokia 2690 which has all the features....I nokia will soon lost all its share from the market...

There aren't any good ones for the (limited capacity) Series 40 based phone models, like those you have.
You can probably find some PC-based PDF converters that extract just the text, which you can then read using a text reader app on the phone after you have converted the file and managed to get it on your phone first.
If you need the ability to read actual PDF files on your phone, you need to switch to a more capable model, a so called smartphone (by Nokia or some other manufacturer).

iPhones do not have an international warranty. Warranty is valid only for the country of purchase. This is most likely because different countries require different iPhone models. Not reasonable to expect all countries to maintain stock for all models.
