Nokia 301 can't set screensaver

hi,
i downloaded a clock theme onto my nokia 301 to be used as screensaver. but i can't seem to find the screensaver settings on the phone.
does this phone support screensaver?

Nokia E51 - Can't set clock alarm tone

Hey there people!
My device is Nokia E51, and for some, bizarre reason, I can't set the clock alarm tone.
When I choose the sub-menu "Clock alarm tone" a list of songs/audio files on the phone is supposed to load.... but nothing there. The phone doesn't even give me any options to choose from. I actually find this quite frustrating and annoying because I'm trying to do something very basic here.
I've attached a capture.

Well the reason I asked about the large number of audio files is because it appears to be a common bug across many of nokias phones. When you have a large number of audio files (either on the card or on the phone itself) the phone apparently gets 'confused' and is unable to load up the selection of ringtones or music files to use as a ringtone.
The only solutions would be to either:
1) Delete songs until the ringtone menu goes back to normal
2) Do what you have done with copying it to the phone then removing the memory card to be able to select the file.. then reinsert the memory card
Nokia just needs to get their act together. They should seperate ringtones from the music files. This way when you go to select a ringtone.. it will ask to either choose a ringtone from a list.. or to select one of your mp3s from a list. This way keeping it seperate. But that would be extra menus to navigate and people probably wouldnt like it.
But if they did it that way then they could use the mp3 listings by album, artist, song title, etc to allow people to choose the music files they want as a ringtone. It would be easier to do that then continually scroll through huge lists

Nokia 301 - Can we reinstall same firmware our own...

I have Nokia 301 Dual SIM (RM-839): v. 9.04
Well when I check new software update it says no new. Is there any using which I can update same software again using any secret code or software?
Can Nokia Recovery tool do this thing? (I never used this)
Also can we downgrade to old firmware if we see any issue with new version own.
Kindly suggest the valuable info.

I managed to connect with Nokia Recovery Software, phone was properly recognized, firmware was downloaded, but problem occurs at stage of installation (at very beginning 10% of progress). Nokia ROM driver is being seeked then it is alert on problem with installing it, 10% of progress info is not changing till alert on missing connection of phone appears. Fortunately nothing was changed. i sent my phone to a customer point. they also tried but failed. finally they told me, it's the problem of phn processor. but i didn't believe as i have seen others have same experience.
btw, my phn firmware is 09.04. i tried to recover sofware as it shows an annoying alert "a prefered sim is needed to keep app online. continue?". what should i do? pls reply

Nokia X6 - Can't Set Up Email Address

Hi folks,
I'm trying to set up my yahoo mail email address using the email wizard.
I am going in via the messaging section, i'm asked to define the mailbox which I do by using the email wizard, select yahoo mail and add my email address, click ok and every single time it just keeps coming back as "unable to connect to server. Try again later"
I can get on internet, OVI store, call, text and use WLAN but this just keeps coming up the same.
Is there any way to rectify this or is there some other way I can set up a few email addresses (I tryed my google one too and got the same response)

after starting Set up e-mail , have u been asked to select the connection
if so u can select the connection type which is configured in u r phone given by the network operator.
and then proceed as instructed by the phone menu.
if not you may get the settings from the network operator and configure u r phone accordingly and again try,

Can I set flash content as wallpaper on my N95 Cla...

Is it possible to use some flash content on a N95 Classic as a Wallpaper. If yes, please advise as to how can I set a flash lite file (.swf extension or .fla extension) as Wallpaper on my Nokia N95 with firmware version 21.0.0.16. Also please let mem know if some application/plugin needs to be installed for having this enabled on N95 Classic.

im sorry but who is this clown they asked and now i am asking can you apply a .gif file or "animation" file to WALLPAPERS, i already got a "living" screensaver what about WALLPAPERS can they be animated if not why not is there any 3rd party applications that can be downloaded to correct this issue.

Nokia 301 Feature Request: Missed calls/messages n...

I just bought a Nokia 301 dual sim phone. I'm satisfied with it except one thing - IT DOESN"T HAVE MISSED CALLS/MESSAGES NOTIFICATION. How come such important and basic function not implemented? No one will check his phone regularly and there is no way to know wether I have missed calls or messages. It should keep making a beep until I read it. I believe this function could be implemented easily in software, even by polling the status at a constant interval or setting up a counter which issues interrupts. Any Nokia staff can answer this questtion?

This is a feature which the majority of phone users do not want, and that's why Nokia phones have not done it since the early 2000s when Nokia phones used to beep the morse code for SMS.
There are two primary reasons why a person might not read a message at the time it comes in:
He didn't hear it, maybe he was in a noisy place and didn't hear or maybe the phone is in a different room.
He heard it but was prevented from reacting by other circumstances.
If you are away from your phone, there are visual cues when you get back to it that a message has come in. If you are walking down a busy street with your phone in your pocket, there is also in the vast majority of phones a vibrate option to give an alternative kind of notification. If you are driving a car responsibly on a journey of some length, it would becoming annoying after a while if your phone was beeping in your briefcase in the back of the car, or if you leave your phone on your desk at the office whilst you are elsewhere, the repeated beeping could be just as annoying to other people.

Nokia 301 MMS retrieval error

I'm having trouble receiving MMS messages on my Nokia 301; it seems that when people try to send pictures, the error message comes back "message too large." I assume that thiscould be corrected by "auto-adjusting" the pics as they come in, but I'm having trouble finding the option for it in the phone (does it exist?). Searching online has implied it would be a service issue with ATT's limits, but I can receive pictures of the same size just fine on other phones, so there must be a setting on the 301 I have to change. Please help!

The senders are using smartphones, particularly the iPhone 5 and the Nexus 5. I understand that the phone itself may ot be physically capable of handling the large file size, but I know other basic phones are capable of "resizing" the image to allow the less capable device of handling the picture. I was curious if the 301 has this capability somewhere, as I'm been unable to find it.

If anyone know about below points available in current version the kindly reply the way.
Feature request for next update.
1. When I view sms it does not allow me to view previous or next using right or left navigation. All the time I need to close current sms view and move down or up for previous or next sms and open it.
2. Instead of adding "Sim Manager" bar, it can show on top of the screen network signal symbol like regular other mobile view.
3. In Personalise view setting, add few more option to have quick access on front screen display.
4. When we open menu, we need to navigate using up-down-right-left key, instead after opening menu we can have keypad shortcut from 0 to 9 atleast.
5. For demo application, allow us access to remove once demo expired. This will freeup space.
6. Wall paper for active screen is already available to user to customize but we can not change wall paper for manu and when locked.
7. Mail application does not show bigger size mails.
8. If we rename any video file extention to say from video.3gp to video.txt but still video player detect that video. There is no way to hide any video or image or any file. Need to have some way.

Nokia 301 Smiley SMS

Hi,
I just bought this phone(Nokia 301) and my question is how do I remove the smiley icon when reading SMS? It become very confusing when reading some of the SMS. I search through the setting but can't find the function to switch it off.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Most of the Nokia S40 devices support graphical smileys. Refer to the user guide for more details if smileys are supported in your device. To deactivate the graphical smileys in S40 devices, select Messaging, go to Messaging settings (or Message settings), select General settings, and then look for Graphical smileys.

Nokia 301 Freezing

Updated new Firmware, Nokia 301 is freezing with FB open sometimes! had to remove battery to turn it off..wouldnt turn of with Off Key any advice thanks. Using 16GB Memory card in it.

Thank you for the quick response, billbobaggins. Have you tried removing the Facebook application from your phone? If you haven't, try to uninstall and reinstall it on your phone. If this will not make any changes, you can perform a soft reset on the phone by going to Menu > Settings > Rest. fact. sett. > Settings Only. You will be asked to put your security code when doing the reset. If you already changed it, just put your personal code. However, if it's not been changed, you can use the default code which is 12345. Let us know whether this troubleshooting procedure helps you out with your concern.

Nokia 301 won't remember time settings

Last year my provider provided me with this phone, but I only started to use it this weekend. Normally, when you use a new phone, you set the time once and then it'll remember it, not this one.
There's an option for "automatic time updating" (which has more to do with daylight saving I assumed), but when that option is not turned to on, the phone stays on the time I set once. When this option is turned on, it sometimes updates. Sometimes not.
I'm not into apping and internet stuff, but I accidentally clicked a shop sign and it won't even let me get on, because my time setting is not up to date. Also, received and outgoing calls are mentioned (also unanswered ones), but without date & time.
Is this just me or a known possible mistake? Even more important for me at this time, can it be fixed? Thanks in advance for your help!
Edit: More info, I'm in Hungary, Telenor is my provider and the firmware is: 2.51 (07-06-13), RM-840
I tried updating, but I get the message that there's no update available.

Right now I check my phone, it's 20:01 for real, phone says 19:10. Last time I checked the phone was about 2 hours ago when I tried to call someone, somehow it just seems to "stand still" when not being used for some time?! Every morning it's also 2 or 3 hours behind, but when I have the "automatic update" option on, it sometimes does update after a while, or after I use it.

Just got the E71x, it's awesome. I set up my Hotmail account on my Mail for Exchange or whatever that app is called. Can I set up my Gmail account as well? That's the more important account of the two. How do I set this up?

NME is a good alternative. In the beginning it was bugy and I stopped taking it onwards in my future considerations. Nowadays it is grown to a serious service. Def. something to count in your options!
