Nokia 301 Media player

Hy guys,
i have a big problem..for me.. in my job, i have to answer the phone and take the order. For this, i need to record the call, and later i have to give the order to the other colleagues. On my previous phones, x2-00, 6300, in the middle of the call can play the recorded files. On my new Nokia 301 its imposible. Error "Not alowed".
Its very important to me this .
Why ?
If this is the media player built, i don't understand their logic. If i recorded a call its have to be able to play.

Consequently, this feature broke either with HD-Voice (AMR-WB) or with 3G (UMTS). Has anyone tried with a Nokia 208, because that has 3G like the Nokia 301 and Nokia 515. If it works ina Nokia 208, the cause might be AMR-WB.

For what feels like forever I haven't been able to get my phone to recognize my Nokia 5800 in Media Transfer mode. It will recognize the phone in Mass Storage but that doesn't help when am trying to log into Nokia Music to download songs on to my phone or transfer music files from my PC.
My provider was unhelpful (reading as they were from help pages) and merely provided me with a new phone which hasn't solved the problem. While looking through these pages I came across the FAQ to uninstall the device to redirect the drivers but that hasn't helped. Whether or not because of that last action whenever I now plug in my phone via USB cable and select Media Transfer my PC egg timer goes beserk and the sounds a golf-ball like 'thok' sound every few seconds. I deduce from this that it doesn't like the device.
Now at end of tether and have reinstalled Nokia Music suite and reinstalled several times.
If this sounds familiar to anyone please do advise. I am happy to spend money on Nokia Music if I could just get the thing to work in media transfer!

Nokia 9300 Media Player

My 9300 plays out of sync on the real player. The sound starts a second before the footage, so throughout the video, it is out of sync.
Can anyone help?

Does your 9300 have the latest firmware on it? Version 5.22 seems to be the one, I had a similar problem with my 9500 some time ago but when I got the firmware flashed at my local Nokia service centre the playback is much better. Video playback still seems to be an after thought on the communicators though imo.

Create playlist on PC and transfer to Nokia 301

Hi guys!
Can anyone figure out how to add playlists from the PC to the Nokia 301 music player,
I can transfer my music collection with Windows Media Player, but playlists createt in WMP will not show up in the Playlists menu on the phone.
To listen to a playlist with specific tracks on my phone, I have to create it on the phone and individually add tracks to it, but considdering that the 301 supports microSDHC cards up to 32GB, that seems like a poor and timeconsuming solution?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've tried both Nokia Suite 3.5.34 and Nokia PC Suite 7.1 with Nokia Music, but none of these applications seems to be able to perform the task, and neither does manually copying .wlp, .pla or .m3u files to the phone. The files will not be reconnized by the file browser either.
Of course I have updatet the media library and even restarted the phone, but still only playlists created on the phone are playable.

Well I haven't.
As a workaround I assign each item on the playlists to the same genre and browse by genre instead of playlist, when I listen to music on the phone.
You have to be real careful though to do that before you sync the tracks to your device, because updating the ID3-tags on the phone from WMP does not seem to work once the file has bee transfered, so you have to delete the file from your device and resync it, if you make a mistake.
The clear disadvantage of this solution is, that you have to give up the genre information stored in the tracks if you make a playlist that is based on something other than genre.
Maybe an update for the musicplayer to support .pla playlists would be worth considdering.

Nokia x3-00 media player operation failed

i updated my nokia x3-00 software and facing a problem regarding media player. whenever i start the media player it displays the message that OPERATION FAILED! please help me it doesn't plays the audio and the video files.. help me fast ican't afford to buy a new one.

PC Suite/Nokia Music Crashes Windows media Player

After downloading, installing and running these programs yesterday I got a message saying 'Windows media player has stopped working, I haven't loaded windows media player, so presumably this is down to the music application. After I receive this message I can't run media player, or winamp until I restart my computer.
After a restart if I load winamp before nokia music it plays fine, I get the error message but winamp keeps working, but if I close it and try and open it it won't load again.
It's pretty weak that these applications are preventing other software on my computer from working, I mean it's not like media player and winamp are obscure programs.
Has anyone else had this or know of a way to fix it.

I have a similar problem. When I connect my E52 to my PC in "PC Suite" mode (USB/or Bluetooth) the currently running WinAmp will be crash in a few secounds. If I try to restart it, the same will happen as long as the phone connected. This poblem exits on both of my computers (on has Win XP, the oder has VIsta on it)

Nokia Media Player application (PC Suite)

The fast back & forward controls of Nokia Media Player application (PC Suite Rev. 6.83.14.1) don’t work at all. Just the same when I tray to move de play time bar. Something wrong? From me? From de application?

The search bar (play time bar) only works so that the music/video is not playing at all, then you move the bar to certain place and press "play". The the music starts at that point.
The "forward" and "back" are not exactly forward and back, but more like "next" song and "previous" song, if you have a list of songs or videos or...

Hey, i am using Nokia X2-01. When i open the media player, it says'file not supportive'. When i open the song, i can hear it, the media player is not shown. And i cant even watch videos in it. Plz help me out with the trouble.

Windows Media Player doesn't support MP4 files at all.
You can buy a Codec pack to enable this support. Visit Windpows Media Player pages.
OR
You can covert the files to play them in Windows Media Player.
If you want to convert the files. There are thousands of encoders you can buy or that are free, I've stopped making recommendations because people think that I get money for making them.
So just google VIDEO encoder, and you will find a TON of them.

hi mate, have you checked that you are up to date with the latest firmware for the device ? also try re-installing the latest firmware via Nokia Suite on PC, and if that doesn't work either, then Restoring the phone to factory settings.

Help needed with N80 media player problem

Hi,
My other half owns a N80 and he deleted something on his phone and now when he goes into media player it says there are no tracks. All the songs are in his track library but you have to manually select which songs to play instead of playing them all.
Is there a way of getting the media player to find the songs?

File not found in my media player but yes it's fou...

Yup so, I got my Nokia C6 phone about two months ago, and everything has been working perfectly until these past weeks.
When I connect my phone with the USB-cabel to my PC, everything is still working alright. Then I go to Windows Media Player, and it recognizes my phone correctly. Although, When I press Synchronize, it seems like everything is going on well but then I disconnect my phone from the computer and the files are not found in my media player, just in my File manager! Is there any chance to fix this because it really bothers me?

N80 Media player exclamation mark flaw

Hello everyone,
Just found a bug in the built-in media player (or media library, I think it's a part of the player): when the filename includes an exclamation mark (!) the media library refuses to read the ID3 tag (or whatever tag the AAC and M4A files have) and places the song in the Unknown [artist|album|style|etc.] sections of the library. Removing the exclamation mark fixes the problem.
I'm using the latest version of the firmware (5.0719.0.2). This problem exists since the 4.x versions.
It's not such a big flaw but it's kinda annoying, took me some time to find out what caused this, even made me format my card...
Anyway, I'm posting it so that I save someone some trouble.
And, of course, a fix in the next version of the firmware (if any) would be great.

I would try re-installing the PC-suite.
My favorite N80 applications: Nokia Mobile Search, Smart2go Beta,
S60 Internet Radio, Mobile Weather.

Nokia 206 Medial player not working properly.

Dear all members,
I have recenlty purchased a nokia 206 dual sim mobile. Some features in the phone are very good, but video player has some problems. If i play mp4 converted file 320*240 15fps file, it shows "this file could not play well in your phone". I tried to reduce the 320*240 10fps, but the same msg again coming. Also the streaming video and audio at the middle of the file not matching. The audio is going faster than video streaming. Is it medial player problem or phone problem?. Also with youtube videos online also if lenghty files played same thing happed. Please help me about this problem.

@_m3gz4_ no, I cannot recommend any other video player, because the media player in a Nokia Series 40 is highly optimized because it is written in the native programming language of that platform. Therefore, I would like to go one step backwards: Did you try MPEG-4 Simple-Profile encoded media as well? Did you consider to go for another mobile phone with a faster processor (CPU) and/or a dedicated graphics processor (GPU)? If you go for a used Nokia 700 for example, you would be surprised by the difference.
