Nokia 301 Suddenly doesn't connect to the internet...

Hello,
I love this phone, but one day my whatsapp couldn't connect to the server anymore, whilst I still could connect to Facebook and internet pages. I reset to factory settings, put in my internet provider settings (AP), but now it doesn't connect to anything anymore.
Please help

Which network operator do you use, in which country?

My iPad Mini with retina display suddenly will not connect to the Internet. It shows full wifi bars, yet no web pages will load. My Internet is working with all other apple devices in my house. The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • Macbook Pro suddenly will not connect to the internet via ethernet cable.

I know this is a long shot... but I figured I would give it a try.
My macbook pro suddenly does not connect to the internet via ethernet cable. Please bear with me, as I am not very tech-savvy - I will try my best to describe the symptoms!
I connect to the internet via ethernet (we don't have wifi). It was working before I went to work, and when I came home I suddenly couldn't get anything to work (I know everyone says this, but I truly didn't mess with anything). Internet browsers just think for awhile and then turn up the 'You are not connected to the internet' error.
I went into my network preferences and curiously, the 'Ethernet' shows a green dot and says 'connected'. However it says 'Authentication server is not responding' underneath the last part that says '802.1X: WPA: eduroam' (I think that is my user profile).
When I go into my 'security' settings I can see that my firewall is off, so that shouldn't be causing any problems.
I've tried restarting the router and computer itself many times. Diagnostics just gets to a certain point and reports back 'Network Diagnostics cannot fix the current networking problems.' I've also tried switching to a different ethernet cable, and I tried both cables out on a PC laptop and it connected without issue.  Additionally, I brought my macbook along to a friend's house and it connected to his wifi just fine, so the problem appears to just be with ethernet connections.
I know it's hard to troubleshoot this kind of thing without being there and having a look at the computer yourself, but any tips wouild be greatly appreciated.

As I mentioned above, I am not very tech savvy so I have no idea why a wireless protocol would be showing up there, I'm just listing everything I see in hopes that someone might know something I can try. This is why I am asking for help here - I'm not sure what has happened that has made me unable to connect, especially since it seemingly occured while nobody was using the computer.
I guess I should clarify that I'm not a total hillbilly- normally my firewall is set to 'on', but I set it to 'off' to try and troubleshoot the issues here as I was told that sometimes it can interfere with the computer's ability to connect to the internet. If this is not the case and firewall does not affect anything, I will turn it back on while I try to fix this.
I have tried the method you mentioned above a few times - I actually contacted my ISP earlier this week and they recommended resetting the router like that. They didn't mention any known network issues.

    Hi Jake,
Is it connecting to the Router or Modem?
Is the new Router using maybe WPA2 encryption? If so, G4s can only do WPA or less.

Hi, this has worked for a few...
Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712
The Interface that connects to the Internet, needs to be drug to the top of System Preferences>Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations and checked ON.
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
Then... Try putting these numbers in Network>Airport>TCP/IP>DNS Servers, for the Interface you connect with...
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    Then Apply.
    Also, turn off IPv6:
    System Preferences » Network » AirPort » TCP/IP tab » Configure IPv6

  • Safari doesn't connect to the internet from my mailbox or from Google. I use a MAC, OS X version 10.8.4

My MAC desktop doesn't connect to the internet from an email or from  safari.  Only the first few letters of the web address I want to use appears in the address bar and then the wheel spins and spins non-stop.  Thanks for any suggestions on how to fix this problem.

Power off the router. Wait awhile. Power it back on. Wait until all the lights are lit up properly.
    It will take a while.
    Restart the computer.
    Start up in Safe Mode

  • WiFi doesn't connect to the internet.

I ran cccleaner for mac on my macbook 1,1 and now it doesn't connect to the internet. what should I do?

When you are connected, try Settings > WiFi and touch the blue > next to the network name. You should see your IP address (if it is 169, then there are other problems), subnet mask, the Router IP address, and the DNS address. If you do not see the last two, touch the DHCP button, scroll down and touch Renew Lease. Check your settings again. If they are there, you should be good to go.
If they are not, try this Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings and when your iPod restarts, log back into your network.
Be aware that some public networks require that you log in further via a web screen to actually access their network.

  • E71 Doesn't connect to the internet

    Hi all
My E71 doesn’t' connect to the internet using SIM card it connects only by Wireless modem. I tried to format it and update the software many times, and still the same issue. I tried as well to re configure and install the access point and yet no internet. it is really a hectic  to me not to use GPS especially i travel much.

    Couple of things.
Make sure you get the correct settings for web access from your ISP (I'm assuming you have a plan with the ISP that gives you internet access - not all do), and make sure they are all entered correctly.
Start the web browser and goto Options > Settings > General > Access Point and make sure the ISP access point selected.
Internet access is not necessary in order to use GPS.
If I've helped you, you can thank me by clicking the green 'kudos' star on my post. Cheers.

  • Doesn't connect to the internet anymore

    Hi,
my macbook air doesn't connect to the internet anymore. Diagnostics don't find a solution, either.
    Network status as follows:
    wi-fi: green
    wi-fi settings: green
    Network settings: green
    isp: green
    Internet: Failed
    Server: Failed
I am writing this on a different apple computer using the same network, ISP and so on. Obviously, this one works, and so do a couple of other computers in the house. Hence it can't be a problem with the router, ISP or so. Must be a problem in the macbook air.
    WHo has an idea?

    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network ▹ Advanced ▹ TCP/IP
What values are shown for the following?
    Configure IPv4
    IPv4 Address
    Subnet Mask
    Router

  • Suddenly unable to connect to the internet

    hi all,
my mac's been working fine the past 4 years, when suddenly, a couple of days ago, i turned it on to surf the net, thats when this peculiar problem occurred..
i went onto firefox, typed in a url, but the browser is unable to load anything from it. tried other urls, same thing. tried using safari, same. i restart into this windows partition in the same computer, and i can surf the net as usual!
i connect to the internet via a wireless router that links to an adsl modem, so i try to access my router via its IP address while running mac os, and okay, the browser manages to load the router's webpage. after some fiddling around, i discover that i can actually load websites if i enter their IP address, but not urls, so the problem is most likely something to do with the dns. but the thing is i use the same dns under windows, and it works (and still does). i try using google public dns of 8.8.8.8, and it still doesn't work in mac, while in windows it works perfectly. tried turning off the firewall in mac, no improvement.
what is wrong with my mac?!
oh btw, i think one day before this happened, i just did a software update that gave an update on iLife, but can that actually cause this problem?? didn't change any other setting other than this as far as i recall..
let me know if any specs are required and i'll post them up.. thanks in advance guys!

Hi jf_element and welcome to Apple Discussions!
It sounds like this is an issue with Domain Name Service. Possibly your Internet service provider changed some settings and didn't tell you or possibly your settings have been corrupted.
Go to your *System Preferences* (under the Apple menu) and select Network. Select AirPort from the list of ports on the left. Click the Advanced button. In the resulting dialog box, click on the DNS tab. Is anything listed here? Contact your ISP and ask them for the IP addresses of their domain name servers. Those IP addresses should go here.
    Best of luck.

  • Why does my airport base station show all green lights but doesn't connect to the internet?

I have an Airport Express Base Station that has been working beautifully up until this morning.  For no apparent reason (changes in ANYTHING), I cannot connect to the internet through it.  Here's the situation:
The light on the airport is solid green.
Aiport Utility shows all is well...the base station shows up, with green light, IP address, etc.
Network Diagnostics shows "your connection to the internet seems to be working correctly."
Connecting the modem directly to the computer via ethernet cable works fine...internet humming right along.
Connecting the modem to the base station doesn't work, even though all green lights and "all systems go" diagnostics.
Wireless access via iPhone and iPad not working, either, so definitely not computer-based issue.
No changes have been made to anything.  I'm running 10.6.8 on a 2007 MacBook Pro.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Nancy

    Hi Bob,
    Thanks for responding.
Does that IP address start with 169, or something else?
The IP address starts with 10.0...
Does this mean that the iPhone and iPad can connect to the wireless network....but not get to the Internet?.....or.....does this mean that the iPhone and iPad cannot connect to the wireless network at all?
They can see and connect to the wireless network, but aren't connecting to the internet, just like my computer.  Sorry for not being clear about that.
Can you look on the side of the AirPort Express to locate the model number?  Hard to see, you may need a magnifying glass. Starts with an "A" followed by four numbers, as in A1264, or A1084, for example.
The model number on the Airport is A1392.
Any insights based on this info?  Thanks for your help.
    Nancy

  • Connected by network cable Linux/Firefox doesn't connect to the internet

    Hello
People go to the public library and plug the public library's network cable into their laptops and access the internet. Naturally the library has the dns and dhcp already setup so that we can connect to the internet in this way. When I plug my network cable into my laptop and boot Windows and internet explorer I get internet access. However, when I plug the internet cable into my laptop and I boot up Oracle Enterprise Linux I get the "server not found" message using Firefox.
Why doesn't Firefox connect to the internet using network cable at the library when Windows does connect using the same network cable?

Drivers for the network card maybe? A link does no good without drivers.

  • E2500 doesn't connect to the internet

Suddenly today I can't connect to the internet through the router (wired and wirelessly). I can be online if I'm connected directly through the ISP's router.I already reset the router to factory settings (and reconfigured the SSID and passwords as they were), but still nothing. I have no idea what else to do (because I'm not going to pay for tech support, for the price alone I could buy a router from another brand). Additionally the firmware version is 3.

@enojado The settings on your router should be synced with your modem. Follow the steps on this link.
