NOKIA 3110 CLASSIC DISPLAY

HI GUYS ..
i have got new nokia 3110 classic mobile yesterday.
i have noticed that the graphics or colour and camera resolution (which is 1.3 mega pixel) is of very bad quality.
nokia default wallpapers and themes looks cool but other additioanl images i added to set show bad bad colour and distorted resolution.
whats the reason behind this, i have visited many websites to get complete information about nokia 3110c before buying, and iT seems cool , having 1.3MP camera and good visual resolution...
but i am too disheatrted to see the bad graphics power of set...
plz guide me what can i do now....
is updating software can fix this problem ...

Nokia 3110 Classic - Some settings :/

I just upgraded my phone from Nokia 2100 to Nokia 3110 Classic (finally, yay.)
In my 2100 I had a couple of settings I used.
a) Setting to change the amount of time the phone lights up.
b) Setting to change how long the phone waits before going into standby mode.
Not sure if those are the same things, but my 3110c lights up for quite a while

You can no longer set the time it takes for the backlight to go off. The other setting you will find under the screen saver settings menu in your display settings menu.

NEED HELP!! Nokia 3110 Classic with Bluetooth Head...

Dear all experts,
I just brought my Nokia 3110 Classic & found problem when trying to use my Motorola Bluetooth Headset H500. I've tried to use I-Tech Clip II Mini and Nokia Bluetooth Headset HS-26W yet still facing the same problem.
The problem i'm facing is whenever i called out or received call, other parties can't hear clearly what i've said but i can hear them loud & clear. My friends who are brought Nokia 6300 & Nokia 3110 Classic, all are facing this problem!
I've used Samsung, Sony Ericsson & Motorola phones before Nokia. So far, not problem. A bit disapointed and lost confidence with Nokia products.
Is there any expects who can solve/advise/recommend/help on this problem?

I had the same problem and found this thread while trying to resolve the problem. I have a Nokia 3110 and a Jabra Bt250v headset. I think I have found a solution.....I downloaded a software update (called firmware) from the nokia website (had to back up phone using Nokia PC suite and then follow the instructions on the nokia software updates) and now have version 7 rather than 5 and it seems to be resolved.

Hi, I have a problem with my nokia 3110 classic phone. When I go to the themes sec it says themes corrupted. Also my phone switches off itself and all my messages , themes, wallpapers, tones, graphics, games, etc disappear...
Please help me solve this problem....

Why don't you uninstall the Currupted themes... ? You may do so using the PC Suite or Applications manager..

Nokia 3110 Classic Alarm tone too low

I brought a Nokia 3110 Classic yesterday and found the alarm tone too low. Tried chaging the Tones, but all of them are too low. Not enough to wake up. can anyone suggest how to overcome this problem.

get a loud tone there is no volume level for this if your havin trouble i will post a good loud one most nokias now have incremental volume ie get louder the longer they ring but i have good loud one

Nokia 3110 Classic does not work with Peltor Bluet...

At work I must use a high quality hearing protection headset. I purchased a Peltor Bluetooth A2DP headset (which costs five times the price of the phone) and a Nokia 3110 Classic phone, which would have been a good phone if it had worked properly with the headset. The phone fails to initialize Bluetooth connection almost every time I switch the headset on. When the initialization goes right, then it usually works, but sometimes I can only use A2DP music or phone. Both cannot be used, the other function remains silent. Sometimes the music palyer software jams after bluetooth initialization so that I have to restart the phone and load factory settings. I have installed the most recent firmware to the phone.
The headset works OK with other Nokia models I have tried. Are there any new firmware updates coming which could solve these bluetooth problems?

I also bought a Peltor bluetooth headset. I used it with 2 different phones (n73 and n96) and had problems with the connection on both phones. For example every time I turned off the headset, I had to pair the devices again. I also have used several other bluetooth headsets with absolutey no problems. So I assumed the problem was on the Peltor headset and sent it for service. I hope it will start to work.

CK-7W + Nokia 3110 Classic

Hi,
I recently bought a Nokia 3110 Classic and I would like to connect it to my CK-7W carkit. The datacable that comes with the CK-7W carkit (CA-27) does not seem to fit into the 3110 without using a hammer. Does anyone know if there are datacables available to connect a Nokia 3110 Classic to a CK-7W carkit?

Looking to the pinout of the CA-116 cable the red wire is connected to the 2nd. pin and the blue wire to
the 3rd. pinfrom the left. Whereby the release of the (10PIN) connector is facing downwards.
I have checked the charging voltage with a UTP cable connected to the CK-7W via a (8PIN)RJ-45 connector.
I measured 5.2VDC between the 2nd. pin (-) and the 5th pin(+) from the left (release for the RJ-45 facing downwards.
When you cut the original 10 pin connector from the CA-116 cable and you crimp a new standard (8 pin)RJ-45 connector to this cable, Blue wire (-)to the 2nd. pin and Red wire (+) to the 5th. pin from the left (release for the RJ-45 facing downwards) it should work.
Please check the polarity of the CA-116 cable before you connect your phone.

Nokia 6303 Classic Displays CALL only instead of c...

I've an orange sim card and this seems to be only happening with this network.
I do not know who is calling me. The display shows "call" even though the number of the person that is calling me is on my contact list. This happens with all numbers.
Strangely, it knows if I am calling out, and if someone texts me.
Does anyone know anyway around it?? I've gone to settings/Display and checked the Notification details, This was already set to "show" which is fine but this still doesn't even work.
I've even updated this to V10.10 of the Nokia 6303 Classic firmware. CALL still is appearing even after the update.

Nonetheless, this is a common problem with Orange. I suggest calling them. They should be able to update your SIM over-the-air and it'll sort the problem out.

Nokia 3120 classic display settings

The "Nokia 3120 classic User Guide" (9207764, Issue 3) in chapter 6. Settings -> Display says:
Sleep mode -- to save battery power, the display turns black when no function of the phone is used for a certain time
If I understand correctly the purpose of that option, when it is set to on it should turn off the back light of the display when the phone is not used for some time (a few seconds). By default that option is enabled.
I tried to disable that option (set it to off) but nothing changed -- the display light turns off very quickly, which is very annoying for example when reading/writing messages. To prevent the display light to turn off you need to press a key every few seconds.
I also tried to disable the "power saver" option in the display settings but I didn't notice any difference either.
IMHO, there is a bug in the phone firmware regarding those options. Moreover I thing that user should be able to change the time interval after which the display light is turned off in the sleep mode.
Another issue with that phone behavior: Using an analog or digital clock as a screen saver (Settings -> Display -> Screen saver) is quite convenient because the default digital clock in top right corner of the display uses very small font. When the keyboard is locked, the screen saver activates after a few seconds of inactivity (that time interval should be adjustable too), but the display light turns off also, which is OK when the keyboard is locked. Now the question is how to turn on the display light (to see the clock in the screen saver) without turning off the screen saver at the same time? Currently you have to do the following:
(1) press one of the navigation keys in order to turn on the display light
(2) wait a few seconds in order to activate the screen saver
The firmware version used is:

Can someone from Nokia please response to this thread? The lack of control over the display light duration is a huge disadvantage of the 3120. It sounds like a small issue, but it is really not. I would recommend anyone who is interested in the 3120 NOT to get it, for this exact reason.

Nokia 3110 classic thru PC Suite

I am facing a problem. The phone 3110 classic is visible in PC Suite. But whenever I select to Backup it shows the message
"Failed to open connection to the selected phone. Reconnect your phone and try again"
I have tried it on 2-3 different machines with different versions of Nokia PC suite. Update I have used is setup file Nokia_PC_Suite_rel_7_0_8_2_eng_us_web.
I have tried to establish the connection via Blue tooth also. But same problem repeats.
Please do help me

Same issue here.
I called nokia support, They made me try *#7370# on my phone to reset, it didn't work.
I'm not overly impressed with the support.
I love nokia phones (had them for 11 years).
I'm lucky, I have a 10 days satisfaction guarantee and I am returning this unit (3500c), and switch to another company.
You should do this too if you can.

3110 Classic display problem

Recently bought a 3110 Classic, Orange network. Worked perfectly well for the first few days. This morning I've turned it on and the display keeps blacking out every few seconds.
I've charged it fully, taken out battery and simcard and put them back, restarted a few times - it keeps doing it.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this problem? Help appreciated.

Nokia 2330 classic: display becomes always black a...

Hello,
I proudly own the nice 2330 classic. The only point, which I am really unhappy with, is that the display always becomes black after a few seconds. One can even not see if the phone is on or off.
Does somebody now if it is a fault? I did not find any option in the settings for it. Is a newer software release available, which fixes it?

When you press the Red key, does the screen light-up? If yes, then the phone probably just went into power saving mode, hence blanking the screen and turning off the backlight.
You could try playing with the settings for this under the Display Settings in the menu to find out what works for you. Usual settings include Power Saver mode, Screensaver, Backlight, Sleep mode.

Nokia 2320 classic display question

Hi,
I have a 2320 classic and is there anyway to keep the display on all the time??? After a few seconds it goes to a black screen and you have to hit a key to bring it back on. Hopefully my question makes sense.
