Nokia 3110c - stereo via 3.5mm jack adapter?

I want to play music from my 3110 Classic through my decent-quality earphones with a 3.5mm stereo jack. One post in this forum says you can use a 2.5mm-3.5mm adapter, but another says the Maplin N83FA and FA94C adapters only give mono output. Does anyone know of an adapter available in the UK that definitely works?

Yes - also there is the AD-50... (http://www.mobilagency.cz/foto/male/hf48.jpg )
This is a little less pretty but performs the same thing...

  • No Audio Input Via 3.5mm Jack

I understand that the Envy 23 has a single pin jack for input/output (headphones).
However, I have never been able to get the jack to work as an analog input (from a record turntable & mixer to digitize vinyl). It worked fine on my old HP desktop (with the designated separate jacks). No input signal at all...
I've tried different kinds of 3.5mm jack (2 ring, 3 ring), different digitizing programs, every configuration I can think of in the Windows audio device controls...nothing.
any ideas? I'm at my wit's end!

    Hi,
Firstly have you tried somting similar to  the following adapter ?
Secondly: have you tried a microphone with the above adapter ?
    Regards.

  • Bluetooth stereo and 3.5mm input jack

hi, basically all i want to know is when i get my iphone will i be able to listen to music through the 3.5mm phone jack that goes to the stereo and also still be able to recieve calls through my car stereo via bluetooth. Or will the iphone think that i have headphones in as it has the same connection and in a way override the bluetooth feature. thanks

    Hi Chris,
I think I can give you a parallel experience to say it will work. I often drive with my iPhone connected to the car stereo via the 3.5mm headphone output (thru cassette adapter). When a call comes in, the iPhone elegantly drops the volume of music and plays the ring tone through the stereo system. I then tap the answer button on my bluetooth headset and it answers and all dialog goes through the BT headset.
Assuming you have some kind of answer button on your car system, I think you will be able to tap that and do your phone call through your car system.
Hope that is helpful. I can only surmise based on my BT Headset experience.
    Best,
    Jim

  • Any way to get audio out via RCA or 3.5mm jack?

I am interest in using AppleTV in a section of a fitness studio that I own.
The room has a pro audio A/V system with sound inputs via Bluetook, RCA or 3.5mm earphone jack.  The 2 TV monitors are daisy-chained and receive inputs via HDMI.
However, if I want to have the audio portion of an AppleTV program played through the sound system, I need to feed audio into it using one of the inputs noted above.  This isn't a problem with a Mac or iPad because I can use both HDMI and 3.5mm jacks to accomplish the goal.  I could just turn up the TVs, but that isn't a great sound option given the setting and the other equipment.
Is there any way to jury-rig an audio output that works?
Might I be better off using a sling box to an iPad or a Macbook?  I am already paying for cable TV as part of my Xfinity plan.
    Thanks,
    Scott

Something like this Digital Audio To Analog Audio Converter ... from Amazon will do the trick.
Search for audio digital to analog converter for other options.

  • Connect Imac to Stereo via Headphone Jack & 2nd Stereo via Airport Express

I have two whole-house stereo systems; one serving the lower level (basement) of my house and another serving the first and second floors. My iMac is on the lower level. The house was prewired with two coax cables (standard cable TV-type cables) from the area behind my stereo on the lower level to the room where my iMac is located. Using adapters from Radio Shack, I was able to directly connect my iMac to my home stereo on the lower level. I can currently play my iTunes on my lower level stereo by plugging the cable into the headphone jack on my iMac.
I am set up with a wireless network using a Linksys WRT54G. I would like to be able to also stream music from iTunes on my iMac to my home stereo on the first floor. I realize I can do this with the use of Airport Express.
My goal is to be able to play the same music from iTunes on my iMac on both stereos simultaneously. My question is; if I have my lower level stereo connected to my iMac via the headphone jack, will I still be able to stream the same music from iTunes to my upper level stereo via Airport Express? I'm concerned that by connecting the lower level stereo to the headphone jack, the music will not be able to be streamed wirelessly to the upper level stereo.
Thank you in advance for your time.
iMac 24 in.   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   Wireless keyboard & mouse, Linksys WRT-54G connected wirelessly

    Hi.
Assuming your iMac is no more than 50 feet from where you intend to locate the express then:
You will need to configure your airport express to join your current wireless network in client mode (otherwise you won't be able to use the internet and the express at the same time).
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302153
In iTunes there is an option to select multiple speakers. Thus you select this and then check the desired options. Hence you can have music coming out of the speakers/hadphone jack on your iMac AND out of the speakers connected to the airport express.

  • Play on home stereo via wireless Bluetooth?

I have an (analog) home stereo. I want to play my iPod Touch 2nd Generation through the stereo via a wireless connection, like BlueTooth. What products will let me do this?

    Hello.
As stated your best option is to seek a Bluetooth Dongle. This will connect to the audio jack on your iPod Touch. You will then want to ensure it comes an adapter to connect to the stereo in the house. This will allow the iPod touch to broadcast the music to the stereo.
You may also want to look into Stereo docking stations. Many of these stations allow you to dock the iPod Touch and then have a remote where you can control it from the couch or across the room. Link below to show you some of the units that can do this.
    http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shopipod/ipodaccessories/speakers?mco=MTE4OTc
You may also want to look into an Airport Express. This allows you to stream music from iTunes into your Stereo. You can then download the Remote App via the iTunes App store and control the library from anywhere in the house via a WiFi connection on iPod Touch.

  • How to connect apple tv to normal speakers with 3.5mm jack?

I have recently brought apple tv, it works great with my tv. But I have optoma HD200x projector which, I think, don't have audio out. I understand that I need optical audio cable to connect it to speakers but I have JBL radial speakers with 3.5mm jack. Which cable is required as no optical audio port on jbl dock.
    Thanks

You need to connect optical to a DAC that can output analogue stereo (serach for monoprice here) or have an amp/speaker that acepts optical.
Assuming you'll hook up HDMI to the Optoma it's worth considering whether or not thsi convertes HDMI audio and has an analogue 3.5mm or RCA jack out (or headphones socket) - that might work but would entail an extra lead from the projector.

  • Connecting IPT to my bookshelf stereo via Ipod AV Conncetion Kit

    Hi everyone,
I connected my IPT to my stereo via Ipod AV connection kit usint 3.5 mm jack from the dock that came with the kit.
Once connected, the stereo's built-in amp does not take over the volume control of the IPT. IPT works but I need to crank up the volume to about 85% and crank up the volume of the stereo to high setting to get loud enough of sound.
When I had the mini with the mini dock connected, the volume was soley controlled by the sterio only, hence pretty loud.
I know that the IPT now has "incompatible" issues with the older accessories but do I need to buy the new universal dock to "fix" this problem?
    Any comments would be appreciated.
    Thanks!!

I have seen reports in other postings that the iPod outputs audio only from video sources, not from music sources, through a 3-connection AV mini-plug cable such as the Apple AV cable. Maybe (based on your report) the issue is only with the Universal Dock and not the iPod itself. Anyway, try using a 2-connection stereo mini-plug cable which may transmit audio from both music and video sources. If you have S-video inputs on your TV, you can use the Monster iTV Link cable, available from the Apple Store and (cheaper) elsewhere, which combines S-video and stereo mini-plug cables. Otherwise, if you must use an AV cable for video, you may have to change connections to a stereo cable when you play music. (Why doesn't the Apple Store tell you this, you might ask?...)

  • Nokia Purity Stereo InEar Headphones - Only workin...

I have a set of Nokia Purity Stereo InEar headphones that I was given for my B-day in November. Yesterday they started just playing content in Mono (ie the right hand speaker no-longer works...) Everything else works. I have tested it in a number of audio jacks and its definitely not working. There does not seem to be any support for these on the Nokia or Monster Purity website, it just sends me to some random page with twitter and facebook links and this discussion.
Anyone got any ideas or guidance?

    @ashmonsterr
Although this applies to Lumia 920 Euro version, in as much as Start/Stop, change track, volume + & - there are no issues using WH-920 with my 920; as I decline Microsoft terms for voice control I can't say for this function.
Happy to have helped forum with a Support Ratio = 42.5

  • Wired Headset for Lumia 900 with 3.5mm Jack

    Hi
Would there be any recommendations for a Wired Headset with a 3.5Mm jack for headphones for a Nokia Lumia 900. I have tried the Nokia AD-54, you can hear the sound but sound quality is poor. I attached Bluetooth headsets BH-610 and BH-214, both reproduce excellent sound quality. But am looking for a wired option.  The Monster options from purity range dont have 3.5mm Jack

  • How to stream Nokia Music Mixes via Play To

Just moved from an HTC Mozart to Lumia 800 and love the Nokia exclusive apps.  Really enjoying Nokia Music, and would like to be able to stream this to my home stereo via DLNA.  The Play To app seemed to be perfect, however this can only stream my music collection, and not the Nokia Music mixes...
Anyone have a way to stream the mixes to a home stereo?
    Thanks!

Nokia Music Mix Radio offline mixes are not available outside your Lumia device. Unless you plug it into your stereo using the headphone out obviously..

  • N900 3.5mm jack glitching

    Hello
Shortly after I got my N900(within 2 weekw) my 3.5mm jack started glithing very much I got constantly connects and discinnects on it just when it was turned or pushed slightly.
Usualy when you get this problem you think the glitch is in the cable of the connected device but apparently it isn't in this case.
I tried many different phones as well as the TV out and all behaves the same.
I just wonder if there is any common solution to this or if I will have to send it away to get this fixed somhow becuse its really annoying to not being able to use my N900 also as a portable MP3 player as I intended.

Its is a common problem and you should get it checked at the authorized Nokia care

  • Stereo Bluetooth and headphone jack at the same time?

I'm looking forward to the A2DP support in the firmware 3.0 update. I plan to get a motorokr s7hd. I'd like to be able to output audio from my iPhone 3G to my car via the headphone jack. Can I also connect a stereo Bluetooth headset and just use that in the event of a phone call? Will it mute/pause the music when a call happens?

You can set the iPod app to output audio to your choice of a BT headset, or the jack output (not simultaneously). A BT headset can still get call audio if paired, but working in one channel only - no stereo.
