Nokia 3250 - Firmware Update
Hi,
Any one using the Nokia 3250 installed the Firmware Update from the Nokia Firmware Updater?
I am wondering because I dont want to install it on my phone and then find my phone useless.

I own a 5210, 5140 and now..the new 3250. Symbian 60 Series OS 3.0 ..just the best.
you can download sotfware updater from:www.europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate and install it on your PC after that you update it, nest you plugin your phone and you mustlet it on all the time of updating its take several minute dont warry, after that it appearon your phone message TEST NOKIA you must always waiting....when it finish your phone switch of automaticly and switch on again.....its complete your phone is ready don't forget to BACKUP you PHONE MEMORY with PC SUITE...good LUCK

Nokia 5610 firmware update....................
im having a little problem with my nokia 5610 firmware update.
The problem is that after updating my phone with version 8.30 the slide animation feature of my phone is not working. On slide open\close the picture set in the theme is supposed to appear but nothing appears.
Before the update this feature was working perfectly fine. i reported about this issue to nokia customer care also but they just advised me to wait for the next firmware i.e. v9.40 . As the new firmware released on my product code i again updated my phone's firmware and this time with version 9.40. Still it did not help me. The same problem persists . Please note here that nothing went wrong during the update . All other features of my phone are working perfectly fine .

The version 10.00 for the Nokia 5610 has been around since early July, so certainly it would be available for all countries in the APAC region.
Just make sure the phone is fully charged and backed up and you're set to update.

guys the new firmware has small fonts it is not good.further iam looking for other changes in log

I have used Nokia Software updater with GPRS/ EDGE Connection, and it showed me the update. I'm from India.
My current release after the update is PR1.2. Software Version is 014.002.C03.01. Type is RM 596.

Nokia E65 firmware update due in October
Hi all,
we just received a message from the Eseries team. They informed us that "Nokia will release a firmware update for the E65 in October for most E65 variants."
There's been plenty of discussion here among E65 owners so I hope this helps. We do not have any information about any possible changes that this update will bring but I am sure many of the discussions about the E65 here at Support Discussions have been a valuable source of information to Nokia.

At the moment Nokia does not publish change logs nor schedules for any product-specific updates.
E65 was an exception since there seemed to be so much concern over whether it will be supported by NSU at all (as it's not yet listed at www.europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate).

PatVery odd, not known a phone to be missing it's product code from the label under the battery before.
Have you tried connecting your phone to the computer and running the Nokia Software Updater?
This will tell you if there's an available update.
Be aware if your phone is network branded then it's highly unlikely that an update will be available. Most networks don't like approving new updates. -

Thank you for your post. You can check if there is any new software for your device by downloading and using Nokia suite which you can download from the link below and then select the link under the Nokia Suites for your PC section:
http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-9300/pc-software
Once you have downloaded this if you go to tools and then click software update or you can click the quick link (Its a green arrow icon) and then click refresh. This will then check if any new updates are available.

Nokia 5320 XM Red v4.13The software version is dependent on the product code, so if you are told that you have the no update is available then you have the latest SW version for your product code.
Apart from the fact that product codes are usually unique to a country (and in some cases to a network operator), you shouldn't have any issues regarding your region. -
How do I update to v50? nokia suite says it's v40 but there is no update for the firmware
Updates vary by region and product code,also if your phone is network branded you will be most likely waiting longer,so keep checking

I am Using 5310 Xpress Music edition phone. It has the firmware version V03.60. The phone reboots while playing MP3 files.
I would like to update my firmware. I checked with nokia software updater V1.4.23en that the phone has V3.63 firmware update. I tried to update thro the updater but it fails to detect my phone. I am using the pcsuite 6.85 and the connection is good while connected thro pcsuite.
I followed the instructions while connecting thro software updater. I accepted "PC suite as the default option on my phone" and I got my phone charged full.
I would like to update to latest firmware version. Kindly help me on this issue.

I just installed the PC suite, then the nokia software updater. Connect the phone to the PC and wait till it gets detected by the PC suite. Then Start the nokia software updater, it detected the phone, then checks for update. It found the Firmware update and ask to update. I just click on update and it downloads the update file of 33MB. Then got updated.
You should have a high speed internet connection before you update your mobile.

Has anyone else had trouble updating the nokia 6680 firmware. My current firmware is V3.04.11 and i have read that the new version is V5.04.07 but the updater says there is no updates for my phone.
Or [latest version] for your operator variant... If you have operator spesific phone it's SW releases are approved by operator and Nokia's updater apparently is kind enough to install only latest version of whatever your dear operator has approved for you. My 6680 (generic, non-subsidised version) updated to 5.04.07 just fine with the updater.

I see on the 10th of this month there was a firmware update version V30.09.009? But I dont get a choice to install it, device says firmware is up to date. Any help?

Nokia has released many firmware updates since they had released nokia 5800xm.But still i am stucked with firmware v21.0.025.I cant find any updates via OTA.
I want to know whether my phone's product code is something that is preventing my phone from recieving updates.
My phones product code is 0588668hi mate,
if you are checking then you may very well have a branded handset, in which case you will need to contact your network carrier and ask if they ever planned on releasing the firmware updates for your device.
in the case they do not, then you can ask them for written permission to remove the branded firmware, and then take your phone to your nearest Nokia Care who will be able to install the generic, unbranded v60 firmware onto your device: http://nokia.com/support
