Nokia 3250 (new phone)

Right iv purchased the new Nokia 3250 2day nd the guy at the shop told me that i need to go on the internet nd fill in these stuff so that nokia.co.uk will send the software i need to use MMS,Web browsing, nd email.... iv done this 3 times nd nokia.co.uk wont send anything atall even though it says it has.. so later on i phoned Vodafone i regisered the phone whilst at it nd he said that he will send the software i need.... that was 2 hours ago i still havnt got anything.... can u plz help me..

haha, seems like no1 knows cz its a brand new phone, well it doesnt matter now the Technician from Vodafone has sorted the problem out for me..

Anyone facing this problem? I just brought couple of days only, I found the phone hang when i switch ON it and press Enter key after the PIN code. It looks no response and keep displaying on that screen.

Just an advise
On it's first time fully charge and discharge - vice versa for three times. After that don’t drain your battery every day to 10-20% of its charge. You can actually expect battery problems by draining the battery frequently.
Roughly every 30 charges, deliberately discharge your battery to 10-15%, and fully charge to 100% afterwards.
This will help maintain the accuracy of the “fuel gauge” on the device (your battery meter or scale). It has nothing to do with the battery memory but helps maintain the accuracy of the device’s percentage of battery charge left.

Nokia 500 New phone Touch gone crazy aftter belle ...

Hi,
A couple of days ago I bought nokia 500 and the very next day I updated to Nokia Belle.
Now the touch seems crazy. So many times it happened that when I am using the phone the differentl applicastion like conatact, web etc starts opening automitacally and when I try to to cancel it, the tocuh doesn't work for me. Pls advise, is it because of the belle update, if yes how can I go back to Anna.

Nokia 3250: Application/Themes installation proble...

Hi...i recently purchase a Nokia 3250 but I'm facing a problem:any themes/application installed in memory card doesn't work and theme resets after switch-on the handset but if that application is installed in phone memory, it works after switch-on the handset.
I install all the software properly provided by nokia like snake game,themes....by using PC Suite.
I face the problems when i follow the following steps:
Problem 1:
1-I install any software (e.g:snake game) through Application manager (Pc Suit) in memory card.
2-I launch that software (snake game) just after installation it works properly.
3-Now i switch-off the hand set and than switch-on it.
4-I try to launch that software (snake game) again but it doesn't response.
Problem 2:
1:There is a image in my Memory card.
2: I set that image as a wallpaper.
3-Now i switch-off the hand set and than switch-on it.
4-Wallpaper reset to default one.
Problem 3:
1-I install a theme through Application manager (Pc Suit) in memory card.
2: I apply that theme in my hand set.
3-Now i switch-off the hand set and than switch-on it.
4- Now theme reset to default one.
i want to know is it my handset problem or OS problem....?
plss help....

The 6102 is an S40 (Series 40) 2nd edition phone, and rather old, already as S40 is already at 5th edition (plus various intermediate "feature packs").
I think the 6102 supports themes, then they come in .nth files (not .sis or .sisx, which are for S60/Series 60 phone models) and only when they're created with Nokia Series 40 Theme Studio v1.*. Newer themes created with v2.* of the tool, requires newer phones.

Hi,
Any one using the Nokia 3250 installed the Firmware Update from the Nokia Firmware Updater?
I am wondering because I dont want to install it on my phone and then find my phone useless.

I own a 5210, 5140 and now..the new 3250. Symbian 60 Series OS 3.0 ..just the best.

you can download sotfware updater from:www.europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate and install it on your PC after that you update it, nest you plugin your phone and you mustlet it on all the time of updating its take several minute dont warry, after that it appearon your phone message TEST NOKIA you must always waiting....when it finish your phone switch of automaticly and switch on again.....its complete your phone is ready don't forget to BACKUP you PHONE MEMORY with PC SUITE...good LUCK

Nokia 3250, N seried & a Mac

Hi,
I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this. I have been hanging back on upgrading my handset (from 7610) for about a year as I have eagerly anticipated the N90, N91 etc etc.
Now the date of release in the UK is getting closer and I am getting a little worried that it may all be in vain.
I have an Apple Powerbook (running OS 10.4.3 Tiger) and wonder if these new devices are going to want to connect to any new phone I get.
Any ideas?
I notice the 3250 comes with Nokia Audio Manager for PC. The Mac has iTunes, but clearly won't be compatable given the tie in with Motorola. I had a Moto once and it was bad.
Anyway, do you reckon I'll be able to treat the 3250 as an external memory card (which I can do with the SE K750i.

I have the 3250 and am very disapointed in NOKIAs lack of support for MAC. (Ironically their ads are produced on MACs)
I am now trying to get PC Suite to run under Virtual PC with XP Professional. I have to try to re-map the com port for the Bluetooth and if that works, I'll let you know.
I've not heard anything about apple getting any kind of isync to work with the 3250, and even if they do it won't help out with the music/video synch.
Has anyone got that to work, it worked once for me when I sent files via bluetooth to my phone I was able to get the music program to "rescan library" and then all tracks showed up but since changing the songs (all by hand) I have not been able to get the music to show-up in the music player.
I've also gotten files to transfer via the cable but I like the bluetooth better and it isn't too painfully slow.
Any ideas would be welcomed and I'll keep you posted on what works for me.

Nokia 3250 Updates.......

Hello, I have as a Cellphone model Nokia 3250 - its operatior is Mexican - "Telcel GSM" I looked for software updated and this site was the only one to have my phone, After Updating my phone I notice some exciting changes, I could now see who was my operator at the time, since I live at a border state its easy to go from Mexico to USA in a jiffy. After updating phone I asked for internet service in my phone and Messaging in my phone. Yet for some reason, It comes out as packet not found. I could not been the phone since in the past I tried to logg into Internet and messages, it would let me but not send, or enter internet it just told me page not availabe. Any help? I waited for another update, but I seems no new Nokia 3250 updates are available. Any Help?

well...i may be an exception but i have no complaints with 4.14. my phone works as smoothly as ever....except for one glitch which has been there since i bought the phone....
sometimes my phone simply restarts after i execute a service command...eg: *456# (checking balance amount on my account)
anyone faces the same problem?

Nokia 3250 sms-indicator troubles

After some period of working, my nokia 3250 have become troublesome..I cant see the indicator of new SMS-message. Also, when new ones come, cellphone even dont play melody of new Inbox-message and there is no vibration. What shell I do to repair it?

Just tell me one thing:
Did you recently upgraded your phone to latest firmware?
If not then may be it is a bug in your phone.
Try these things:
Do *#7780#.
Do *#7370# (make a backup of phone memory by PC Suit)
If your FW is in verion 3 then I wouldnt suggest you to upgrade it to version 4.14 cuz it lets many user to face some COMMON bugs. Nokia didnt make any FW revision since then.

Nokia 3250 Crashing - Frequently

Hi,
I have had my Nokia 3250 for almost 8 months now and its starting to run unsmoothly.
I have a Jabra BT500 and use it frequently. Today morning, I turned the Jabra on and then used voice command to run bluetooth on my Nokia. I got an error message which I cannot remmemeber, it said that something was closed. I tried running bluetooth manually, but it repeated the error message.
I rebooted the phone and everything was fine.
In the afternoon, I wanted to add a new contact. I pressed the contact button and the phone suddenly froze. Then it made the error beep, stayed frozen and then rebooted.
What the heck?
Now I am sitting next to the computer, updating the contacts from outlook using PS Suite Sync and the screen goes colorless with bars moving up and down. The phone doesnt turn off!!! I just pulled the battery out, put it back in and the phone is ok.
I am really frustrated right now.
Any ideas?

Just came back from the Nokia Service Center in Amsterdam. Very helpful!
They copied all my contacts, everything on my phone onto their hardrive.
Next they plugged the phone onto their system and the phones screen went yellow. With nothing on it. 15 Minutes later my phone was ready to go.
I asked what they thought was the problem, they said that every computer has a "brain **bleep**" every once in a while.
Phones the same..I even had a scratch on the screen which they replaced =D!

I have bought new NOKIA 3250 XpressMusic and I got program Muvee installed in my phone memory card. In few days I've reformated my phone and memory card and programa was deleted. what to do? I can't do back up this program...

i have a Nokia 3250 black/green for a month of 3
now ive seen the new version of the 3250 in white/red.
on the dutch nokia website its not available and here on the european website it is!
is it possible to order the white cover?
so i can change my phone?

Nokia 3250 - Restriction on sending Media

Hi,
I own a Nokia 3250 - great device! I have many Midi files, (free ones) on my device that I added. If I try to send the Midi files, it tells me the file is protected.
It works with any other kind of file.
Does nokia automaticly block sharing of Midi files?
Is there a way around this?
Another question:
I noticed a Tab in my galery labeled Presentations.
What kind of files are those? Powerpoint? (PPT).

Doesn't matter how you edit MIDI files. The 3250 (like most Nokia phones) have a built-in, fixed list of file types that built-in apps (like Messaging) refuses to send (forward).
In some cases renaming the file on the device will work, but the recipient will have to be able to rename it back, too.
Note also that the MMS specifications do not support/allow for arbitrary file types to be sent as MMS (there is - or at least used to be - a, so called, MMS Conformance document on http://www.openmobilealliance.org that lists the supported attachement file types/formats for MMS).

Free email service provider for Nokia 3250 to send...

Hi! My name is Apoorva. I am from India. I am using Nokia 3250 handset. Now as everybody knows, most of the Nokia handset has an email feature which also requires GPRS to be activated. I have already activated GPRS on my cell phone. But now, I am looking out for free email service provider with whom I can register and then configure email settings on my cell phone so that I can send emails from my cell phone while I am on move. This saves my cost of buying a laptop as email is one of the major requirement on the move b'coz of which everybody are buying a laptop.
Steps to send an email from Nokia 3250:
1. Menu > 2. Mesaging > 3. New Message > 4. Email.
