Nokia 3720 classic - sometimes I have a problem to...

If I answer a call or I call someone with my Nokia 3720 classic, sometimes I cannot hear the "free" tone or the person on the phone. If I turn on the speakers manually (so that everyone can hear) it works.
What can be wrong?
The problem only appears sometimes.

It appears that you may have an intermittent fault with the phones earpiece.
You need to get it looked at by a nokia care point. You can find the details of your nearest via the "contact us" link.
If you bought it from a network contact them for assistance first.

Hello, I've noticed that a new version of software (09.10) is available for Nokia 3720 Classic. What improvements/features does it introduce? Where can I find this kind of information?
Moreover, on my old 5500 Sport I used to perform a full reset (3 fingers, 3+*+"green phone") after each software update. Is it necessary also on S40 devices? What is the key combo?

I have the following problem with FW 9.10.
The phone forgots all birthday entries in adressbook and calender, if you switch off the phone. As long as the phone ist on, everything is fine. If I switch off and turn on, all birthday entries are deleted (adreesbook and calender). Other calender functions (meetings etc.) are ok.
I restored to factory settings and everything ist working fine till the next restart.
Can anybody reproduce this problem? What can I do?

Strage things sometimes occur with my nokia 3120 classic cell phone.
When I receive an incoming call or message sometimes my phone doesn't recognize that the corresponding number is in my address book. By consequence I only see the number which is not practical at all.
I need to mention that I've copied all my contacts to my SD-card because I add a picture to their profile. Maybe that's relevant too.
Anyone having the same problem too?

Firmware update 10.16 for Nokia 3720 classic

apparently there new firmware version 10.16 for the 3720 classic.
Does anybode have more information what are the changes?
I could not find any release notes...

I also can't connect with my bluetooth headset (itech); I can't pair the headset with the phone (pairing goes well with all others bluetooth device I have, and before upgrade it worked fine with the phone).
I confirm a bug in 9.x with sms and multimedia,that's why I upgraded.
I've also noticed that moving through menu is really slow compared with 9.x old firmware relase.

Yesterday I downloaded Nokia Suite for Windows, and upgraded my phone to V 10.16. After that, i saw in my telephone, that I can`t open my memory card which called Rokas, and memory`s card`s item is lock.. Then i press to open it, my telephone want me password, but i havent got it... What shoud i do?

This is quite a common scenario upon S40 device, where memory card is not removed from device prior to updating; unfortunately default Nokia lock code of 12345 is not the solution either.

as I know this device is shipped without pre-installed PTT client in europe (LINK). The phones on the US market will have this application (LINK). Is the US version differend by hardware too? Is it possible to post-install the client on the european version?

Are you sure that you have the website correct for your US version?
The specs I can see show PTT as not ticked == not available, plus the frequencies for the phone are 900, 1800, 1900 --> only one US band and two European bands are covered (no 850Mhz coverage).

Nokia 3720 Classic - email and picture messaging o...

Hi.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get email and picture messaging to work on the 3720c via the Orange network?
I've spoken to Orange support four times now and the best they can come up with is change the handset for a different one from their shop. This is not an option as they are twice as expensive and don't sell the 3720c.
I know the 3720c can work on Orange because my mate has his working just fine.
I've been through the normal setup but keep getting a "no network coverage" error even though I know its fine because my mates is working from the same location.
I'm seriously considering dumping Orange and moving to a different provider if I can't get this sorted.

Screen goes very dark during video recording sometimes, would new firmware fix this? i have Software version: 03.23, Software version date: 27-Jun-2008.
Also is it possible to disable the red light during video recording?
Not sure about the first part, but you cannot disable the lamp it is to let people know they are being recorded I think
4. GPS, i'm on prepaid, is it possible to get free GPS service? if not which prepaid network would be cheapest for using GPS?
Nokia maps is very good, so long as you download the mapping download software first from Ovi.com to load them to the phone. It only costs about £50.00 (not sure) for the voice prompts as well.

NEED HELP!! Nokia 3110 Classic with Bluetooth Head...

I just brought my Nokia 3110 Classic & found problem when trying to use my Motorola Bluetooth Headset H500. I've tried to use I-Tech Clip II Mini and Nokia Bluetooth Headset HS-26W yet still facing the same problem.
The problem i'm facing is whenever i called out or received call, other parties can't hear clearly what i've said but i can hear them loud & clear. My friends who are brought Nokia 6300 & Nokia 3110 Classic, all are facing this problem!
I've used Samsung, Sony Ericsson & Motorola phones before Nokia. So far, not problem. A bit disapointed and lost confidence with Nokia products.
Is there any expects who can solve/advise/recommend/help on this problem?

I had the same problem and found this thread while trying to resolve the problem. I have a Nokia 3110 and a Jabra Bt250v headset. I think I have found a solution.....I downloaded a software update (called firmware) from the nokia website (had to back up phone using Nokia PC suite and then follow the instructions on the nokia software updates) and now have version 7 rather than 5 and it seems to be resolved.

Fatal error connecting Nokia 6220 Classic

Hi All
I have just installed the latest PC suite and am having trouble connecting my 6500-Slide & Nokia 6220 Classic.
I have also installed Nokia Software updater.
Basically i had a 6500 slide - this has connected fine no problems at all since i have had it. I have just got a 6220 classic lugged it in and got the following message:
"Cannot install this hardware"
"There was a problem installing this hardware:
Nokia 6220 classic USB phone parent
An error occured during the installation of this device
Fatal error during installation
Click finish to close"
So i downloaded the latest software (Suite & updater) and tried to connect either 6500-s or 6220 Classic via the supplied CA-101 cable and get the same message each time i try to connect either phone!
I have tried uninstalling, re-installing, updating software and am stuck now.
Any help would be really appreciated.

wow, good fix and worked too (for my 6500 slide that is). For the benefit of those reading this post, i will re-post lillyplop's solution here:
Either rename or delete the file: c:\windows\system32\drivers\wdf01000.sys
Then reboot and prob should be fixed.
Also, perhaps nokia, look into the cause of this problem and maybe when nokia pc suite is launched, get it to rename this file then name it back when closed?

I bought a Nokia 3720 "classic" a few months ago which came preloaded with Nokia maps 2.0 I belive.
I have since replaced the sd card, is there any way to get Nokia maps 2.0 on the new sd card and if so, whats the best way to go about it?

try downloading the app to pc 1st and go from there as i said there was no direct link for your handset
like ngage you could use other hanset models games on other handsets i dont think it would work you could try one of the s40 devices and see

Problem with Nokia 2730 classic

I have problem with my Nokia 2730 Classic such as:
- Can't open Browser (can only use Web service like Facebook) & the download & messenger application in phone are corrupted.
- I can't use Music Player... every time i open song or video,it's shown that " Not Enough Memory"
- Messaging can't open just got a blank & still Error unless turn off & restart phone.
When i got this issue, i also tried to Restore factory & Restore All in setting function several times,but it just solved the Messaging to work normally & the others still got the problem.
I also try to update firmware from v8.xx (not remember) to V10.40 RM-578 but nothing better..
I really need help as soon as possible.

you need to empty the phones memory delete unwanted items such as images and text also clear up your message folders
