Nokia 500 Security code error

Yesterday I switched on my Nokia 500 with pin code and security code with out any trouble,but after few minutes it restarted and security code is not accepted, ,I can answer the incoming calls, but i cant connect it to nokia suit help me with this ,

The default is 12345 have your tried that?
If you cant fix this it will have to sent to a nokia care point.

Hi Dhdhdharani,
2 hours is too much. 10 minutes as suggested by Scoobyman will suffice. Removing the SIM card and the microSD card is not really necessary but OP can give it a try still.

when i switch on my nokia 500, it always ask the security code. so, please give me steps to off this setting.i want that mobile should not ask the code while switching on.

Please take following steps & you will get solution
1# go to menu> tools > settings > general > security > phone & SIM card
2 # now set ''PIN code request'' as ''off''
3# set '' phone auto lock period '' as ''none''
4 # set '' allow remote lock'' as ''no''
# If this is helpful, please click on ''accept as solution'' & add ''kudos'' i.e. Blue Star.

Hi, How do I reset the security code of a nokia 5110? I have to add that I don't know the code. Please help, Thanks

The Nokia default security code is 12345. If you have changed it at any point you will have to take your phone into a Nokia Authorized Service point and have them reset it for you

Nokia Belle upgrade on Nokia X7 - Security Code er...

I have just upgraded to Belle software but now there is an annoying thing were I keep getting asked for a security code (which I hadn't used previously) on boot up, if you put the default code in it fails(12345,00000), but if you cancel you can still operate the phone normally.
Very odd...Anyone have any fixes for this?

Nokia 7373 - Security Code Forgotten

Hi,
I can't perform a master reset on my phone or delete contacts from the phone as I seem to have forgotten my security code (although I do still know my PIN so can access and use the phone). So far I have tried the following codes:
0000
1111
12345
and the one that was generated by my IMEI number from another website
...but each time I get a "Code Error" message. I phoned Orange and they told me that you can't change the Security Code yourself and that it must be 1111 or 12345 but obviously these don't work and Orange are wrong. Any help would be much appreciated as I want to give the phone to my sister as I've recently had an upgrade.

The default security code is 12345. If that does not work then someone has changed it.
The ONLY way to reset this code is at a nokia care point. They may charge for the service and you may lose all data from the phones memory.
They will also need to see proof of purchase/ownership before they will do it.

Nokia x2-01 CODE ERROR

My nokia x2-01 gives me a code error. it ASKS FOR A SECURKITY CODE EACH TYME I INSERT ANOTHER SIM AND DOES Not ACCEPT 12345.
I CANT REMMEMBER SETTING up any security code
The current sim it apparently accepts is nt even the ist sim card that came with the phpne

are you sure that the code your phone is asking is the security code? if it really security code and default code 12345 is not working, you need to bring your phone to the nearest nokia carepoint so re-flash will be done on your phone and the default code will be back to 12345 again.

New Security Code Error after *#7370#

Hi. I recently updated my N8's firmware to Belle and then one day it started getting stuck few seconds after powering up. I reset it using *#7370# code and rebooted the phone. after rebooting it is asking for a New Security Code and then to confirm it but after i confirm it, it give 'Code Error' message and asks for New Security Code again. Badly Stuck. tried all codes i have ever used but the phone is locked. Please HELP

Nokia 5610 security code

I have bought a 5610 XpressMusic few days ago. But the problem is that when i want to change the Security code to my own desired code i get a code error when i enter preset code 12345. I have never changed the preset code before. I'm getting this error all whenever I try to change the security code. What could be the problem?

Take the handset to a nokia Service centre.
They can reset this for you.
A point to note is thats its not advisable to share your handsets imei number for security purposes.

3110 is not a S60 smartphone the reset codes available for s60 phones wont work on it and still ur problem is not clear "u still cant open security code" what do you mean by that
If the phone says "code error" after entering the reset code ( default one or changed by you) nothing u could do with ur phone than taking a trip to NOKIA CARE CENTER and let them reset it back to the default one u may lose ur phone data in the process so back up all the stuff and proceed if u are going to NCC

Can't unlock N8, Security Code Error

Hi,
I turned off my N8 Belle recently, turned it back on and it won't accept the security code, it just says "code error" when I type it.
What's going on? Now I can't unlock my phone to use it.
I haven't forgotten the code, it's the same one I've been using on phones for years and I've tried defaults such as 1234, 12345, 0000, 00000000.

Don't know whether Post #5 here of any value http://forum.dailymobile.net/index.php?topic=64440.0 otherwise looks like visit to Nokia Care facility to reset lock code to default 12345 and possibly completely re-install device software looks likely.

If you bought the phone new and the default 12345 does not work, then the security code should be in the papers you received with the phone or maybe printed on the box.
If you bought it second hand then the previous owner should be able to help you.
Otherwise you'll have to take the phone to your nearest Nokia Care Point with proof that you are its owner (invoice in your name with the phone's IMEI number, and photo ID) and they'll be able to reset the security code for you. Do a backup before having this done because it might entail a full reset of the phone, which will erase all your data.
Alternatively, you could attempt a firmware update with Nokia Software Updater. A firmware update often resets the security code back to the factory default (but not on all models).

Nokia 6230i security code

i have a nokia 6230i. 1 month old bought on 02 pay as you go. but have been using my contract 02 sim in it. now i have decided to use the pay as you go sim because bills are to high. put the pay and go sim in the phone and its coming up security code. iv tried the default number 12345 but it wont unlock. the security code has not been changed.
it works with any other sim card in it apart from the one it came wiv. can you help?

You have to wait 15 minutes if you have tried three times before you entered 12345. It locks.

Nokia 1208 security code

While i was using my Nokia 1208 last night, it spontaneously turned off. When i turned it back on and typed in my PIN, it requested a security code. The default 12345 wouldn t work and i have never changed the code. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me and the first time it was just impossible to fix it so i bought a new 1. Can some please help or post of you have had a similar problem!

if the default code is not 12345 the operator must have changed it try calling them
try removing battery for ten minutes 1st then repeat the proccess if that fails call operator
or try the following
1. Get the phone reflashed.
2. On some phones the reset function will also reset the code to 12345.
You could try the second option but no guarantees it will work on your phone. Also, you may lose all your data if you reset the phone so remember to back it up before resetting.
Always remember to backup your phone before performing resets as your data may be lost.
First try these
*#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default
*#7370# - Reformat your phone

Hi.Does anybody know what to do if I forgot the security code number and the system is locked on Nokia 9300i ?The phone is usless.I tried the master code but it does not work at this problem.

If google or searching this forum offers no solutions then your only option at this stage is to take the phone to a nokia care point along with proof of ownership.
