Nokia 500 Suggestions...

I habve purchased Nokia 500 recently but i found certain things which can be easily upgraded...Below is the list:
1) Folder playlist is missing. If i have to make a new playlist then it would be easy for me to select the folder then to select individual songs from the list of 2000 songs.
2) Screensaver remains hardly for 1-2 seconds. It should remain atleast for a minute or more...
3) Icon size on the Homescreen & fonts size are very very small. They should kindly increase it.
4) Key tones & touch screen tones are very low in volume (after setting it on high option also). They should increase it also.
5) Widget size of Music Player too Big on Homescreeen. Plz decrease it so that we can adjust other widgets also.
I hope they will consider these points & incorporate in the coming update....

Nokia 500 Problem with Tracking mode and touch sc...

I just bought Nokia 500 and I am having lot of problem
1. When I use navigator..it should be in tracking mode not in browing mode so I can see where i am going on where is the turn. But as soon as it calculate the route, withing few second it automatically comes in browsing mode. Even if I press back arrow on left bottom corner it again shows browsing mode. However, sometime it's working fine and always display tracking mode. I am not sure how to switch between the mode. As per manual, I need to hit the back arrow left bottom corner but that does not work for me.
2. The second problem is really bad. The touchscreen response is slow. It looks like the processor is slow. Particularly if I go to Setup menu..it automatically goes to system. I just touch Setup on main menu and sometimes it automatically goes into system. If I manually go to system..it automatically goes to About ..menu. It just behaves randomly..I have done screen calibration many times. but still issue is there. Also, when I got to keyboard to enter address..it automatially press Q key. Not sure what's wrong here
Anybody please suggest me what's wrong. Do I need to replace it with nokia?

Problem installing DivX codec on Nokia 500

I have a nokia 500. I'm trying to install DivX codec to play HD Video files. But when I install DivX player, I can't go to main menu. The main menu turns down.
Have anyone tried installing DivX codec or any other codec on nokia 500 to play HD Videos? Please help me. Please tell me which codec or player is fully supported by Nokia 500. I've searched a lot about players and codecs on nokia 500. But nothing found.
I need to play High Quality AVI, MP4, MPG and FLV files. Please suggest me any player that supported by nokia 500.
By the way, I'm using the latest Belle Refresh(111.021.0028) on my nokia 500.

There is no graphics chip upon 500 which is responsible for such problems.

Nokia 500 stops working after start.

hi,
after i updated my nokia 500 to belle,it has stop working after i start.touchscreen works for some seconds then it stops and no keys are working as well.i have to take battery out to restart but again same problem.can anyone halp please.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Nokia forum.
We are really sorry for this inconvenience.
In order to fix this issue, I would advise you to update again your phone via Nokia suite.
If the problem persists, I would suggest you to perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up, type *#7370# on the keypad. Default lock code is 12345.
The hard reset will dellete all your personal information, that's why a back up is very important.
If none of these solutions solves your issue. I would invite you to visit your local Nokia care point to get the phone checked. If it needs repair, it could be done there.

My nokia 500 gets off on starting it

on starting my phone nokia 500 it gets off. i tried it even with different battery but still the problrm persists. my phone runs nokia belle refresh. suggest some measures.

Then, I would go for the Software Recovery Tool via a Windows computer because that resets the phone and re-installs all software components.

Nokia 500 Touch problem

I had just brought Nokia 500 and after 2 or 3 days i updated it to Symbia Belle my touch has become crazy.
Many times it happenes that when I am using the phone different application like contact, web etc starts opening automitacally and when I try to to cancel it, the touch doesn't work for me.
please help me out of this problem. I think this is because of Symbian BELLE.
Can someone suggest me how to go back to ANNA.....

Nokia 500 Boot problem

Hi...
I have a Nokia 500 Symbian Belle version, but one day I can't start my phone, it always display a 5 dots on screen and does not continue to show the Nokia Logo, the 5 dots are blinking always and it cant boot to Symbian Belle.
Is there any problem with the hardware?

If you have tried to charge the battery to full and it is still not turning on, I suggest you to visit your local Nokia Care point. Also, if you have used any third party software to flash your device, you may have harmed and void the warranty of it.

Welcome to the Nokia forums!
Is your screen frozen or is your device not turning on at all?
Are you able to start it up and access the homescreen?
I suggest you connect your device to Nokia Suite, create a back up and reinstall phone software.
If you are unable to get any response at all from your device please make sure it is turned off, remove the battery and wait 30 seconds before placing the battery back into the handset.
If you cannot get it to start please take your device to your local Nokia Care point where a technical expert will look at your device.

For the Nokia Software Updater, is there any error message before the application crashes? Does this happen all the time? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the application?

Nokia 500 consultation software

I'm from Argentina and I have problems with my Nokia 500, the screen fades sometimes, and sometimes also the camera does not open, says memory full, close applications, and is not true because I have no application open, the latest firmware q has the phone number is 010,032 and others say to install the update to 011,033 but still not officially disponilbe.

Nokia 500 Messaging

I have a Nokia 500 which is onlya a year old and sad to say the warranty just ended a couple of months ago. H had no past issues with the phone but now everytime I receive a text . In the preview you can see the message but once you cselect the message it just shows [1:Time] as the whole message and in Nokia Suite it shows the complete message.
Can anyone help me? Is this a software or hardware issue?

Do you have many sms in your phone? Id suggest clearing up some if you do.

Nokia 500 homescreen shows some blue digits

After some update in belle 111.021.0028 my nokia 500 started showing some blue digits. I am not sure what they represent (screen FPS or CPU load), but surely they are annoying. I once restored the old belle version and then it was gone, but due to some reason, I have to undo that action and the digits are appearing again. I am checking for updates regularly, but it seems that no update have been released after that. Kindly suggest me some way out. Thanks in advance.

You could backup device via Nokia Suite and reset by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user).

Could you check if your phone is up to date? Enter *#0000# on your keypad to display your current software version.
You could check the latest software for Nokia 500 here. If your phone needs to be updated, I would advise you to download Nokia suite and connect your phone to your PC.

Joikuspot not working in nokia 500

I have nokia 500 yesterday i installed JoikuSpot Light to use it as wifi HotSpot but when I try scanning from Sony Xperia Pro it is not detecting my wifi can anyone suggest what's wrong or how to make wifi hotspot manually in nokia 500

If in case your phone shows that your joikuspot is on.. Then this is very important to know that most of the android cellular devices dont detect nokia joikuspot. Try it again on another wifi device like tablet or laptop or desktop.

Nokia 500 - GPRS problem after updating to Nokia B...

Last month after the announcement of update of Nokia Belle to Nokia 500, I have updated the firmware. And it was successfull and it works fine.
But while try to browse the internet in mobile using WAP or Mobile data, I could not do so. There is a problem (Error in opening the page). Before i.e. while using Anna i regularly browsed and it worked fine. after updation only this problem arises. I have checked all the settings and all is looking correct but could not bowsing.
Pls help me.

Could you please follow these steps if problem will occur again?
1. Disconnect your phone from PC if connected.
2. Open Control Panel and go to ‘Programs and Features’
3. From the list of available programs, choose ‘Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver’
4. Click on the ‘Change’ button on top toolbar.
5. In the setup dialog box that pops up next, choose ‘Repair’ and select ok. Wait for setup to complete.
6. Restart the computer if prompted.
7. Now connect your phone to the PC. Driver installation should complete and Nokia Suite (hopefully) should detect your mobile properly now.
