Nokia 5000 The level of electromagnetic radiation

What is the leverl of electromagnetic radiation in Nokia 5000? Not SAR(Specific Absorption Rate ). I can't find this information/

It's simple, no USB cable exists because it isn't actually a USB port for use by the end user.
It's function is a service port that allows repairs to be carried out to it's software by the professionals at nokia care points. They have to put the port somewhere, inside would have been better but that was probably the only suitable place for it.
The 5000 is a budget model, that is why it lacks the ability to connect to a PC using a standard USB cable. Most budget models also lack the ability to be updated by the user.
If you look at it's sales specifications you will see that nowhere does it mention that this phone has a USB port or cable connectivity. http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/devices/nokia-5000/specifications
If you wanted a phone that you could connect to a PC then you have chosen the wrong model. The 5310 would have been a wiser choice that doesn't cost that much more due to it being slightly older.

  • Nokia 5000 - How much time keep your battery

Hi, please can you let me know how much time (days of hours) you baterry is workin on. On my Nokia 5000 the baterry work fine for 3 or 4 days, including the stand by tine and talking time. The talking time is not more then 30minutes - 1 hour per day.
    Thank you very much.

Read the manual about battery life.  There are many factors that can cause excessive battery drain.  Thing such as:
Push for mail.  You might want to turn push off and check for manually
You mention you have a WiFi unit.  If you leave WiFi on and you're not near a WiFi signal, your unit will constantly check for a WiFi signal
Location Services uses battery power.  Check your settings and turn off location for Apps that don't need your location
These are just a few suggestions.

  • How harmful is the iMac electromagnetic radiation for pregnant women?

Hi! I have been reading the manuals online for iMac and Macbook Pro regarding electromagnetic radiation (EMR), and haven't found an answer to my question. My wife is pregnant and as we co-run our photo/design studio, she uses the computers most of the day, 7 days a week. Is the EMR from iMac and Macbook Pro harmful to her and the baby? I need reliable answers, please. If someone can refer me directly to Apple, that will be hlepful. Thanks.

With the caveat that my info is old and therefore out of date, I researched this very thoroughly for the newspaper I worked for because many of the women in the art & production departments were of child-bearing age and were concerned.
The very short version is that that majority of harmful EMR was produced by the cathode ray tubes and their power supplies in the computer monitors. LCD screens, such as those found on iMacs and laptops, do not use the high voltages which produce stray EMR.
For the best info, I found various Swedish studies were the most thorough and used the most conservative (ie low) thresholds for concern.

  • Open letter to Nokia about the original N95!

Hi there, hope this message gets to the high-level employees of the company.
Why on earth would you people in R&D develop a full fledged computer, the flagship of Nokia Nseries phones, that can fit in the palm of your motherloving hand, and only include 64mb of memory.
I understand that maybe the N95 life cycle might be coming to an end (or has it ended?), and so you corrected the first mistake by releasing the same N95(8gb) but this time, someone in R&D must of had an epiphany and made the right choice to include 128mb of RAM.
But what about us, the good ol' N95 people? We have a crippled device.
People might argue that we are the poor early adopters a.k.a the losers. But I refuse to declare so, as it is not the case. The same phone the N95(8gb) was released 2 holy years later, with the exact same specifications and functionality! Except for the built-in 8gb (we have the sandisk micro 8gb), and slightly bigger battery, oh and the screen.
Just look around these forum, and other forums and see how much memory related problem everybody is having. Searching on google for this phrase: Memory Full close applications try again returns a lot of results related to the n95.
Now I know a multi-billion company's got to make a living, and handing out free upgrades doesn't hurt their pocket, but they won't do it because, let's face it, it didn't become a multi-billion company relying on charity work, so considering this and the whole rant above, I wish to say this:
Can Nokia give the option for N95 owners to send over their N95 and get a memory upgrade for a fee (cost of upgrade plus S/H). I repeat yes NOT free, but a fee. I am willing to pay a price to get it upgraded (if at all possible). As I'm not willing to pay for the new 8gb or maybe the n96, since they are pretty much all similar, except for the memory issue.
Yes, that is all I have to say. Please someone consider it, *if technically possible*. And if ever considered, please put a reasonable price tag on it (not to be touchy, but I'm also not paying the same price of the N95 just to get a memory module upgraded).
Thanks for listening. And hope we arrive at a solution that is favorable to both the customer and company (which never does happen, but a man can dream no?)
PS: And just to say, my brother has the N95 8gb, so I played with it profusely, so if anyone wants to say or (pardon the language) **bleep** how the new n95{8gb) is radically superior than the original n95, you fan boys can please do so, but do it on another thread.

    That memory is for storage.
The memory he is referring to is the SDRAM that you need for running programs and multi-tasking.
The N95-1 has 64mb of SDRAM which was problematic on earlier firmware versions. This issue was addressed in the v20 firmware by introducing demand paging which freed up more ram and improved performance all round.
The N95-2(8GB) and the N82 have 128mb of SD RAM which makes these phones perform better than the N95-1.

    Hi,
Just got the Nokia 5000 for Christmas and I really like it, the only problem is, I can't get it to vibrate when I have an incoming call or new message. It will only be completely silent or have a ring tone or message alert, when I just want it to vibrate.
    Please can someone help me?
    Much appreciated :-)

  • Broken screen nokia 5000

    Hey,
I recently broke the screen on my nokia 5000. I don't care about the rest, I just need to be copy my girlfriend's number over from my phone onto my sim card.
I can get to her name in the contacts menu, as I've managed to call her with the screen broken, but am not sure how to do anything from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Email her on your PC?
Try this Down(navi key)>type her first name>>center button>left soft key>Up 3x>center key>down>center key>type in phone number where you want to send the business card from your phone>center key.
Unless the Nokia 5000 has more or less options in the menu than a 5310/5610, that should work.

  • Midi support on Nokia 5000

    Hi all!
I have a collection of midi files from which I like to pick my ringtones. However many of these files will not play (apparently mostly the ones larger than 20KB in filesize). Can anybody tell me what restrictions apply when playing Midi on the Nokia 5000? Or is there a way to make these files playable?
    Cheers,
     Edmund

    Hi,
I think that there is no Messaging support for Nokia 6155. (Maybe you should get contact to Nokia and ask them to add it..)

  • Nokia 5000 and iSync

    Hello!
Can anyone tell me where I can find update for iSync to support Nokia 5000? Nova Media didn't release it yet.
    Thank's everyone

    *THANK YOU VERY MUCH!*
    Worked like a charm!
I only had to discover the exact gmm, so I put <string>Nokia+Nokia 5000d-2</string> .
To discover the exact gmm, I ran /Applications/iSync.app/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice/ Contents/PlugIns/PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin AND I added a new Phone Model. After discover exactly GMM, I edited MetaClasses.plist, then ran again PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin to execute the extensive tests. *It worked like a charm!*

  • Problem transfering music to Nokia 5000

    Greetings,
Using Nokia PC Suite version 7.0.9.2 under Windows Vista Ultimate, 64-bit, using Bluetooth connection to my Nokia 5000.
I'm trying to transfer music files to the phone using Nokia Music Manager. I'm unable to play any transferred files in my phone - whenever I try, I'm getting "File corrupted" message. The converted files (to AAC format) play fine in Music Manager itself. Also, if I transfer the original MP3 files directly using file transfer, they play fine in the phone.
The same problem also existed with the previous version of Nokia PC Suite (I think that was 7.0.8.2).
    Regards,
    Dimitri

    I have N73 Music Edition
lol. Easier way to do it follow this advise...
    1. Connect N73 Via USB
    2. Select Mass Storage Mode
    3. Copy & Paste all your music tracks into ur Mem Card via Mass Storage Mode.

  • Nokia 5000 : use of on-board version of Opera Mini

    Hi,
I have configured the WAP parameters of my Nokia 5000 in the "Personal configuration settings" menu, and it works very well with the default WAP browser located in the "Web" menu : no problem to access Google, Gmail, etc.
Nokia 5000 phones also provide "natively" the Opera Mini browser, located in the "Applications/Collection" menu. But when I try to connect to the WAP, I have the message "Failed to connect to the Internet"...
It is the same with the Gmail and Google Maps applications that I have downloaded separately.
I did not forget to select "Activate" for my WAP personal account, so I really wonder how it is possible that only one application has an access to the WAP, and all the others not...
Thanks by advance for your answer(s) !

    Thank U!
I had the same problem with my new 3720c ................... I spent few days trying to solve it; my service provider(T-Mobile Slovakia) recommended me the same ................. and all my JAVA_based internet applications (OperaMini, Web&Walk, Gmail) work OK

  • Red purple lines in iPhone 5 camera bcos of 3G electromagnetic radiation

I Am getting red and purple lines in my iPhone 5. I contacted the customer care India and the lady Ms. Shahana mentioned that this is bcos of 3G signal interference and electromagnetic radiation , it's shocking that such an issue can happen only on iPhones and not non iPhones. If Apple had this defect why are they still manufacturing defective products?

I Did that before putting this post, as the service center only told me that I need to contact customer care on phone as they cannot replace my iPhone as they  feel this is not a software nor a hardware issue and they themselves will not get a replacement from Bangalore headoffice. They were scared to accept my iPhone and for giving me service. I feel I was cheated by apple and apple service, hence have marked email for this. Also, I sent the required error bug images as requested by apple customer care and they said decision of service center is final and only if service center is able to replicate this issue, they will replace this.  I fail to understand that how will the service center replicate this random occurring issue. They just cannot.

  • How to install greek in a nokia 5000

    Hello!
I have just bought a nokia 5000 for my father. but i have a problem. the phone has no greek installed. for my father this is a very big problem cause he can not manage anything in english. how can i install the greek language in this phone?
    Thanks a lot

You will need to take the phone to a nokia care point and they can install the Greek language pack. You cannot install it yourself.
There will be a charge for this service as it's not a warranty issue. If you bought it from a Greek retailer you should return it and get a refund as they have sold you an imported model.
