Nokia 5200 iSync with Apple Mac OS X 10.4.9 Blueto...

ok, English isn't my first language, but I'm gonna try this anyway. Here is how I got my Nokia 5200 synchronised with iCal, Agenda, iSync via Bluetooth.
It's very easy. You need to replace the number "6131" for the number "5200" inside the script: MetaClasses.plist
This is a file that's located inside the nokia 6131 folder of the iSync.
Here's the rute to get it:
finder / applications / select iSync with right boton of the mouse (control clic), then, select: view package content / contents / plugins / applephoneconduit / contents / plugins / nokia6131 / contents / resources / MetaClasses.plist.
Now, open this file with Textedit, and with "search and replace", replace all the "6131" with the number "5200". And that's it!
If you want to have the Nokia 5200 icon on the iSync screen, you need to get it and save it as .tiff format.
then, inside the "resources" folder (where the MetaClasses.plist. file is) replace the allready existing image of the nokia 6131, and name your image like this: com.nokia.5200.tiff
with my phone, works absolutly perfect. Hope this be helpfull.

Jeff, I don't belive that the probleme could be the language, becouse this solution has worked to many other people, from different countries. I posted this same solution in Apple.com discussions, and many people said that it works great.
I belive that it may not be clear enougth, and you must be doing something wrong.
Is there any posible way that I can see you e-mail? I would like to send you a better explanation.

ISync 2.4 (OS 10.4.9) and Nokia 5200

Hi,
I start this post saying I'm french, so is my english not very good.
I've got a Nokia 5200 and the last Isync's version did support my nokia with a Mactomster Plugin. But now, the 10.4.9 Update make iSync not allowing me to ssyncronise my cell and my mac.
So do you have any advice for me ?

Well, nobody can predict the future - especially where Apple is concerned. Anything you buy today, could be made obselete tomorrow.
It's your choice whether to pay a small amount to be able to use your phone fully now, or wait an unspecified amount of time to get it for free.

How to raise the ringtone volume in nokia 5200??

i cant figure it out how to raise the ringtone voice on my nokia 5200, when someone calls me the ringtone voice is low and than after like 4 seconds it goes higher and higher to the maximum...i want the ringtone volume to be at the maximum from the first second that someone calls me, some help would be great

What you need to do is go into:
"Settings" then "Tones" and make sure "Incoming Alert" is changed to "Ringing" rather than "Ascending"

Nokia 5200

I have a nokia 5200 and finally after nearly 4 years I am able to access the internet!!
Now the problem I have is I am getting the following error message:' Unsupported Content Type'
The website I am trying the access is ' m.aol.co.uk'
When I first tried this it worked fine no problems or error messages, but now every time I get the error message' Unsupported content type'.
Annoyingly I am charged £1 for accessing the internet per day even if try to go to that website and get the error message!!!!

Menu-->Settings-->Configuration-->Preferred Access Point-->..select the Access Point..-->Options-->Delete...

Problem with Nokia 5200...please help!!

my sister has a nokia 5200...it was working really well when suddenly something went wrong...everytime she inserts a memory card with something on it (doesn't happen with empty memory card) the phone goes crazy...it keeps going on and off for like 4 times or so...then it goes totally off (screen is totally black) and my sister has to turn it on herself...then it all happens again..when she gets the memory card out it goes back to normal...but we've noticed that before this happens some sign shows up at the top of the screen right next to the battery...some sign that looks like a lock....dad asked the owner of the store...he said it needs new software or something....could comeone help me?? there are no updates for her phone..and i'm not sure how to get the original software...uhm...firmware....well?? anyone had this problem?? can you help me??

E52 - Nokia SIP VoIP application - help needed

I am pretty new here. I need the Nokia SIP VoIP application for my E52, something like SIP_VoIP_3_1_Settings_S60_3.... .sis
Where can I get it?
My problem is, that I can set up easily an VoIP service with my phone and it connects perfectly. However, I can't use it with my E52 since I can't activitate it on my phone. I would need the option: > connection > Internet Tel. Settings which is not there.
I guess I need the Nokia SIP VoIP application, however I can't find a compatible version, and the SIP_VoIP_3_1_Settings_S60_5_x_v1_0_en.sis does not work.

Although I've never used it, I was able to install the SIP Settings program for my E73 (same OS and Feature Pack as your phone) from http://www.developer.nokia.com/info/sw.nokia.com/id/d476061e-90ca-42e9-b3ea-1a852f3808ec/SIP_VoIP_Se... . (You need to make an account if you don't have one already.) Download the "SIP VOIP 3.x" version. I do have a Settings -> Connection -> SIP Settings option on my phone, as well as Control Panel -> Net Settings -> Advanced VOIP Settings. Hope that helps.

Need instant help about Nokia 5200

Hi, I using Nokia 5200 since 12/2007 but now it has two problems.
1. When I recive or make a call to people they didn't hear my voice but i can hear it.
2. My mobile didn't record voice both on audio recorder and video recorder only voiceless vidio is record.
Plz tell me what I'll do with my mobile I'm really in gr8 trouble.

Have you tried to reboot your phone, This might help.
Switch of your phone, remove the battery, memory card, and sim card.
Leave it out for a couple of minutes and put it all back together.

Hi - I would advise you to contact your network provider in the first instance and ask them to resend your internet settings to your phone, and then try again.

Nokia Media Player application (PC Suite)

The fast back & forward controls of Nokia Media Player application (PC Suite Rev. 6.83.14.1) don’t work at all. Just the same when I tray to move de play time bar. Something wrong? From me? From de application?

The search bar (play time bar) only works so that the music/video is not playing at all, then you move the bar to certain place and press "play". The the music starts at that point.
The "forward" and "back" are not exactly forward and back, but more like "next" song and "previous" song, if you have a list of songs or videos or...

ARGENTLY NEEDED HELP for nokia 5200

i am using nokia 5200.from 2 days its sopped working;
display is showing but key pad not working,only 9 and * buttons working,nothing is opening,i can not access into anything(menu,music,camera)nothing!!!i am getting important bank messages,but i can not open then;they r very important to me;also my main problem is fear of loosing data;there r lots of contacts and information in inbox messages;
please any one give me information about getting data back,mostly my lovable phone working;please help me.

It sounds like your phone has a serious problem.
It may be ok internally and just the connection to the keyboard and screen is defective.
Try installing nokia pc suite on your computer and then backing it up via a cable connection. You may also be able to get your stuff such as your pictures messages etc off it with PC suite and a cable connection.
Then I think you need to take it to your nearest Nokia care point for them to take a look at it.

Nokia 5200 won't be recognized

Hello,
I bought a Nokia 5200 and installed PC Suite 6.83.14.1.
It used to work fine in all the connection modes, but recently it hasn't recognized the phone in "Nokia PC Suite Mode" - only in mass storage and imaging (like a digital camera).
When I chose one of those methods, PC Suite says "Nokia 5200 connected in the wrong mode". If I change the mode to "PC Suite", the device manager will load up a bunch of drivers, but PC Suite won't recognize the phone anymore.
It states "No phone connected".
I tried reinstalling it and it worked once. Now, reinstalling or uninstalling/installing again won't make any difference.
Tried to remove all of Nokia's SDKs, cable drivers and all I could find from Nokia, but nothing works.
Also, it won't find the phone via IrDA nor Bluetooth.
Using XP Pro SP2.

Ok, it's working now.
Here's more or less what I did:
Uninstalled iTunes (just for the record, since I installed it more or less at the same period PC Suite started to get moody).
Uninstalled PC Suite.
Uninstalled Cable drivers.
(At this point I tried to run "PC Suite Cleaner", but it said it wasn't compatible with this version of my PC Suite).
Then I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and noticed "nsl_host_something.exe" was running. Searched for it and I found a big folder at %Program Files%\Common Files\Nokia". I deleted this whole folder and rebooted.
Installed PC Suite (which installs cable drivers automatically).
Tried to check for the cable connection (fired PC Suite, clicked 'Manage Connections'. This wouldn't list any type of connection.
Fired up PC Suite's installer and told it to 'repair'.
Launched PC Suite again, clicked on the connections button, selected cable, hit next and when it was looking for the phone, I connected it. Voilà!

Problem: Nokia C7 Social application stopped worki...

I have a problem with my new Nokia C7. Social application has stopped working on the first day of use and now only says "Script alert: Sorry, please uninstall and reinstall communities."
I presume "communities" means the Social application, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it many times now with different sequences (uninstall+update+reboot, uninstall+reboot+install+reboot etc.) without help. I have also downloaded the Social 1.2 manually and tried to install that way too. No success there either. The widget for Social seems to be working and updating correctly though.
I've seen similar threads elsewhere on Nokia Support Discussions, but suggestions there don't work for me and Nokia hasn't commented officially on any of the threads.
Help is needed!
