Nokia 5230 is no longer recognized by Nokia Ssuite...

I have created a backup from my Nokia 5230 some time ago using Nokia Suite, but now the program doesn't recognize the phone, but the pc does. and I haave accepted the Ovi Suite Mode in the phone.

As farby points out if you have updated Nokia Suite it might need to establish conection again but nothing fundamentally wrong with 5230 connectivity as per screenshots:

Nokia 3G Booklet no longer supported by Nokia

Short story version – initially the Booklet 3G would intermittently lock up … now it will not stay running long enough to boot up before locking up, unless I ran from bootable CD and then it runs just fine. Thought problem was the hard drive. Wanted to upgrade to SSD anyway so purchased SSD and it has the same issue …will not stay running and locks up during boot up. Decided to send Booklet to Nokia service department in Texas. After they had Booklet for 3 weeks they phoned me to say they no longer have any parts to service the Booklet and that I would have to find a 3rd party to get it serviced, but they had no recommendations. Pretty crummy support IMO. Have any of you had the same issue and sent to a 3rd party for service? And would you recommend them?

I've uplaoded all the Booklet drivers onto mediafire and sharing with the world, all the drivers files are in the one file (197mb).

Nokia 5230 firmware

can anyone answer this for me? i have a nokia 5230 and it says on the nokia site that fw v40 is released however when i go into ovi suite or sowtware updater on my phone it says it is the latest version. what is wrong? or should i be getting on to my operator about this?

Nokia 5230 not recognized by Ovi Suite

Hello, Ovi Suite no longer recognizes my Nokia 5230 since I switched to version 3.0.0.284.
Windows Vista and Nokia PC Suite recognizes it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Ovi suite but to no avail.

1. Here are the instructions for attaching log files:
- Open Nokia Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284
- Enable log gathering by double-clicking the enable_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start enabling the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs are enabled" dialogue
- Exit Nokia Ovi Suite from File - Exit. This is mandatory! Closing NOS to system tray is not enough!
- Open Nokia Ovi Suite again
- Try to reproduce the error you are reporting
- If the error still exists, double click the collect_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start collecting the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs collect & zip finished" dialogue
- Attach the NOS2_logs.zip file in C:\Temp\NOS2 folder and screenshots in the error reporting form
- Go to your %TEMP% folder, which can be found by entering %TEMP% to the Windows Explorer's address bar. Then search debug_log_date.txt in this folder, where date is the current date (or choose the latest one) and attach also this file in the error reporting form. The exact %TEMP% folder paths are:
In XP: C:\Documents and settings\your_username\LocalSettings\Temp\
In Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Temp\

Nokia 5230 connection problems

i am using nokia 5230. i have just downloaded and installed PC suite 7.1.51.0 with windows visa 32 bit. the very first time, everything worked fine. i synchronised all the phone contents to PC. now, whenever i connect the phone to PC, it gives me a message "USB device not recognized by Windows". i have reinstalled PC suite but no improvement. kindly advise.

in my PC i have already installed
-windows 7 (64 bits)
-nokia ovi suite 3.0.0.284
-bluesoleil 5.0.5
- CSR Bluetooth adapter
the problem is when i tried to connect my device via blueetooth, the device is found but the programs says maybe you have to install the modem drivers for your device, then keeps lookin for and says there is a problem connecting go back and try again.
I have no usb cable and i need to connect it via bluetooth,
please help.

Adobe Flash Player for Nokia 5230

Hi Guys,
I have wasted hell lot of time in finding Adobe Flash Player for Nokia 5230 but didn't find any. I am not able to run video on metacafe and facebook etc. Everytime it shows "Adobe Flash Player required".
My Device software is up to date and having Flash lite 3.17 (Latest version). I have also searched on Adobe site but it doesn't list flash player for Nokia 5230.
Can someone help me ??

Homescreen widgets for nokia 5230 help

I want to know if there its any way to add homescreen widgets on nokia 5230 like that of c6 00 or n97
all these phones have the same hardware then why c6 00 and n97 has widgets but not 5230 .
Please help I need that feature desperately.

Try to long press the screen. Or else try (options) that is present in the homescreen and then select edit homescreen. Try and reply.

Nokia 5230 video playback and recording

I own the latest nokia 5230. The problem is :
1) When I doing video record using setting TV high quality and Widescr. high quality, it seems
     that my video skip on certain seconds. Using email high quality and below doesn't give any
     problems but the quality is very poor.
2) The problem also occured on playback. Realplayer can't play the skip second on recording
      and then run as normal back after certain time.
It happens all the time as long I used both video setting. I just want to know the solution for this or there is any video recorder software like ETI Camcoder in Nokia s60 series?

This could be caused by a slow memory card...try this to confirm...
backup your card data in pc, format your memory card..
then make video. .... i hope no bugs in video

Request of app for nokia 5230

can anyone tell me if there is an app for the nokia 5230 that lets you view the screen and operate it via PC. for example i like listening to the radio on loudspeaker but id rather listen it via the speakers on my computer.

AFAIK it is not possible, you can however simply use some powered speakers as long as they have 3.5mm lead !

II'd like to say there is... but unfortunately not... mine restarts when I personalize a profile like General, Silent , etc , or change the Home Screen settings even with the new firmware...

Nokia 5230 missing great Divx Player.

Hi iam almost planning to purchage Nokia 5230 here in India -
but shockingly today i heard none of the nokia devices cannot support Divx player.
Hope nokia can solve this major issue for the sake of
trusted nokia lovers from long Years.
Also requesting you please send the latest nokia devices to Divx Development team for testing
so that they can able to test it.

I may be wrong but you can use Divx mobile player with 5800 and N97 so maybe it works also with 5230.

I have music in my memorycard, but my Nokia 5230 d...

I've just bought new Nokia 5230, my earlier phone was Nokia 5200. I had bought memorycard for the 5200, and I had some music in it. Now i put the memorycard to the 5230, but the music doesn't appear to the player. I don't get this, I like to listen music and all I want is to get the music to the player.
Anyone knows what helps? Please?

It could be that the file structures in the card are not recognized by the OS of the 5230.
The 5200 had a basic s40 operating system, while the 5230 has an s60v5 symbian operating system. It would likely be the case. You need to format the card on the 5230 first and then put the pictures and music into the correct folders (copy them over to your PC before formatting).
