Nokia 5230 onscreen buttons for other games.
There are some games other people made and there for other phones like the nokia 5800 but it works perfectly on my phone. The games are also touchscreen and the touchscreen works too. But theres these onscreen buttons (arrow keys, middle button, A B C D button and shoulder buttons) and it cuts off half of the screen. I just want to remove the onscreen buttons on certain games. Is that possible?

i think it is not possible.... but may be this could help, go App manager>select specific game>options>on screen keypad>set it to "never" (but i suspect if this has to do anything with that keypad you r talking about)

Nokia 5230 - Wish List for Next Firmware Upgrade

I'm using Nokia 5230 with the latest firmware, V 12.0.089.
The following are my wish list for the next firmware upgrade:-
1. Messaging > Sent Items: Please include short cut icons to Forward, Create New and Delete as in Inbox.
2. Log > Recent calls: Unnecessary option for Call > Voice Call.
3. Settings > Personal > Themes > Call image > Theme image: A bug with certain 3rd party theme (e.g. JustBlack - 5th theme). During lock mode, screen is totally blank during calls & alarms.
4. Settings > Application mgr. > Installed apps.: Too much application will cause an error of "Application Manager Memory full" and auto exit when selecting "Option". During error, phone memory is around 25MB, Memory Card is around 2.5GB/4GB.
5. Ovi Map > Drive / Walk > Set Destination: Please do an icon based UI for History, Favourite, Search & From Map. The list is to small to click on to (when driving) :-)
6. Organize > Please include multiple selections. E.g. Mark/Unmark > Mark / Mark All. Easy to move multiple applications at once to any folder.

I'm hoping someone can help me get my source computer to find my target computer when running Migration Assistant. The source computer (late '08 macbook pro running OS X 10.7.5) gets stuck on "looking for other computers". But target computer (late '09 imac running OS X 10.7.5) finds source computer. Both show they are connected to same wifi network in System Preferences-network. Note: I have tried with both internet sharing on and off. Note: Source computer also can't find its external hard drive when plugged in. Related? Any ideas for either issue?

In my old Mac (Pro) I have several hard drives installed. I was able to create a Time Machine back-up to a non-system HD. I plan on removing this volume and putting it in an external enclosure as soon as I can find the right cables for that enclosure. Meanwhile....
I saw on one support doc an instruction to open Sharing on the source Mac (my old one, in this case) and make sure the machine had a name specified. I already had done that, but noticed that a specific name based on that was mentioned for other computers to contact it. For example, if my source machine is named "myOldMac", other computers could address is at "myOldMac.local".
I connected the two computers directly via an Ethernet cable and I ran Migration Assistant again. When I got to the "Looking for source" screen, I clicked the button for "Other Server" and entered "afp://myOldMac.local". This actually found my old Mac. I was prompted to enter the password for the account "root". I changed the name to my account's short name -- "raboyle" not "Robert Boyle" -- and entered the correct password and I actually got a list of volumes to access. In the list were: the hard drives (by volume name), the home folders of the user accounts, and the Public Folders for each user account.
I tried accessing both my boot volume and the home folder for my primary account, and proceeded to a screen with the following text: "Choose which backup to transfer information from:". The list provided, however, was empty. On the chance that it was looking specifically for a Time Machine backup, I then specifically chose the HD volume with the backup I had just created. Again, the list to choose where to grab my data from was empty.
So, at least I'm advancing a little bit beyond the "Looking for source" screen ... but then again, since I hit yet another roadblock I can't say whether I've taken one step forward or two steps back. -

Basically I have been having an issue on and off for months of high ping while trying to play the game football superstars and its very annoying. I'm not quite sure what the issue is as it doesn't seem to affect everyone. Though it doesn't seem to be with the game as others don't have an issue.
For other games my ping is fine and the dl/ul speeds are as they should be so to me its a mystery. Here is a trace i have just done to the ip 195.50.71.99. When everything is running fine I usually get about 25 ping which seems good enough from Edinburgh to London where the server is based. Yesterday The pings were over 500 so something wasn't working big time.

Looking at your trace both traces show that this is actually an issue on L3's network. The last hop on BT's network for both traces are hop 10 and consistently on both traces hop 14 is causing ping spikes. You should forward this to L3 or if a game server, to the gameserver admin. -
I dont get sound for videos, games and music but ringtone still works. When i press volume buttons on side of phone i only get the picture of the nell and no little dots underneath. This is on my iphone 4s and ipad. It happened at the same time.
Recurring theme with the 4s losing alerts except for the phone ringing. Most complaints seem to center on the 7.1 upgrade. The fix is dodgy, putting in a charger, playing a you tube video then pulling out the charger and wiggling it until you get the sound back. When you get the sound back, the volume buttons start to work again. Alternate solutions involve cleaning the docking port with a toothbrush, running a pick over the electrodes etc.

Adobe Flash Player for Nokia 5230
Hi Guys,
I have wasted hell lot of time in finding Adobe Flash Player for Nokia 5230 but didn't find any. I am not able to run video on metacafe and facebook etc. Everytime it shows "Adobe Flash Player required".
My Device software is up to date and having Flash lite 3.17 (Latest version). I have also searched on Adobe site but it doesn't list flash player for Nokia 5230.
Can someone help me ??

There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both availabe in the GooglePlay store. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

can anyone tell me if there is an app for the nokia 5230 that lets you view the screen and operate it via PC. for example i like listening to the radio on loudspeaker but id rather listen it via the speakers on my computer.
AFAIK it is not possible, you can however simply use some powered speakers as long as they have 3.5mm lead !

Lost my "Play Mafia Wars" button & other game plug in functions on Max
I run Mac OSX with Snow Leopard upgrade.
I play Mafia Wars with a downloaded tool bar for Fire Fox.
My tool bar has lost its "Play Now" button and other plug ins (Brawler/Aruns Mafia Wars) no longer work.

I would click on the website that gave you the popup and delete that website. Perhaps this will clear it since it is stuck.
When you visit that website again, it will problably ask to store info. Be sure to read about the Website Storage Settings Panel and how it works with the Global Storage Settings Panel.

P.S. If Flash Player is working, there is no need to Uninstall and Install it again. The games and Facebook will try to always tell you something is wrong with Flash Player. Clearly it was working until their pop up stuck, right? -

The Unlock Code is available from the network the phone is locked to. once you get the code from them, you should be able to unlock the phone using the procedure outlined in the link below.

Nokia drive and other apps for other windows phone...
i saw on the net abt the pirated versions of nokia s best gps app being used on other windows phones and with partnership of microsoft will there be nokia apps available officially on the marketplace ..? and m confused between nokia 710 and samsung omnia w.. both priced the same and omnia with front cam but i need the gps navigation for sure more than frnt cam..now the point is if nokia makes their apps available for other devices then no point in buyin any phone in intrest .. i got this doubt coz i read nokia maps coming to other devices and also the EA games ???? pls suggest
I would not bother getting a nokia at the moment.....
If you can live without nokia drive for now then i would hold back for atleast 6 months and see what happens.
Nokia have slipped down the chain a bit and are not as almighty as they use to be.
There are loads of probs with the Lumia 800 and the 710 is not all that good compared to nokia's of old.
I got the 710 because of nokia drive and it is no where near as good as the old Ovi navigation...
In fact the whole phone is a let down....with poor camara, poor sat nav, poor speaker and poor battery...
The Actual phone is a nice design and the screen is not bad...WP7.5 looks interesting but still needs a lot of work to catch up with the others.
Not sure what the Omnia is like...but if i knew then what i know now about the 710 i would of gone for the HTC Radar and just used my N8 for Sat Nav. -

I have two accounts with Google, one for business other for games. The games companies want access to names of clients, aquaintenances, friends etc. I only have one account with Apple, using business account. So do I set up another account with Apple, for the games, to protect clients, friends and aquaintences. As I am sure that no one wants to be bothered by the different games. Go to destination is unsupported in DPS. You should be using go to url with a navto: command.
