Nokia 5230 - remove ADD contact button on main pag...

I have searched the forum, the book and the web to find a way to remove the ADD contact button that appears on the main screen, but so far I have not found a way to do it, can someone please point me in the right direction, thanks.

You can remove whole contacts bar but can't remove "add" button only.

That is the first thing I checked.
The really strange thing is that it has the option 'add to browser favourites', but not the option 'add to favourites'. I always thought that if you set the propertly to true, then both would appear and vice versa that if it was set to false, then they will be hidden.
When we set it to false, the 'add to browser favourites' disappeared, set it back to true and only 'add to browser favourites' appeared again.
Looks like an OSS message is going to be sent.

Can I add Action button on each page of my pdf document

I have created many power point slides with an action button on each slide that allows the user to click to display a video clip.   I would like to create a pdf document of this and replace each of my action button in ppt with an action button that works in Acrobat.
I noticed that action buttons can be added to forms, but I want to be able to add an Action Button on each of my ppt slides to start playing a video clip (each slide will have a different video).
I would like to do this using any coding method (i.e. Javascript, VBA, C , etc).   I think acrobat uses Javascript.
The reason, is that I want to display my power point slides on an IPad and they don't support hyperlink in power point.   I believe IPad does suppport the full acrobat capabilities.
Can this be done ??
Any suggestions where to start ??

NO problem creating the buttons and then playing this back in Acrobat. Works great.
However, unfortunately, none of the PDF viewers for the iPad support playing movies.   So playing it there won't work :(.

what you are doing incorrectly is
trying to get the handle to the OAPageButtonBarBean.
This is a named child of the parent bean(OAPageLayoutBean), and what you are trying to do is find it as a indexed child, this should give you a nullpointer excp in this line oapbb.addIndexedChild(cancelButton);
since the handle should be null.
to get the handle to OAPageButtonBarBean, use some like this
pageContext.getPageLayoutBean().getPageButtons();
and then add buttons to it.

I know it is not standard function to add a button on detail page, but I would like to know if we can use javascripts to add a button on the detail page. for instances add it behind "Edit" button?

No add contact button

Got my iphone 5 today. When trying to add contacts there is no plus button to add them. I have turned the phone off and back on again and it pops up when i open contacts and then disappears. Please help

You could always try resetting your phone if you haven't (again, just guessing). Hold on/off and home simultaneously 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple logo, release and wait for the phone to restart. If that doesn't work, maybe someone else has an idea. Good luck!

Contact button on main screen

Is there a way to put a contacts button on my main/home screen ? The only way I can reach it is if I go into the phone call feature.

Not really, but there is a web app that helps put a contacts single number to a single quick dial icon.

If you visit from computer you will only see it's advertising talking about it. If you visit from iPhone you will get options of making a WebClip icon onto your main screen for any number you enter.
When used it does launch Safari (since WebClips are just web shortcuts). But the URL it goes to is what is known as a "data" URL. The code for the page is all in the URL so it doesn't have to go anywhere to load anypage or anything. Sort of like putting javascript into a URL.
So when it loads it pops up to dial the number.

Before i updated the phone software, i avoid it by using the contacts bar home screen theme; the contact button and dialer seem to work only in that layout, which i didn't mind. But now, after the update, and since there no other way to access the dialer im kinda screwed...$300 phone with no that can't dial how embarrassing
If anyone know the cause or cure for this problem plz help

E71 how to remove setup email link from main page

Recently got a E71 - very pleased with it.    Have installed nokia email and exchange mail - all working fine.   I ended up with 2 "setup email" links on the main page. One i could select and hide, the other I cannot.   When ever i boot the phone it trys to start the email setup wizard by default.     I notice from installations I can remove the email setup - will this affect existing mail accounts and would this mean I can't set up any new accounts in the future?
surely there must be an easy way to remove the icon.    I tried deselcting the wizard from the Modes -> home screen application page but it just comes back after a few minutes.

i found another solution for removing the email setup link on the homepage (still have the wizard start on boot).
MENU -> MODES -> HOME SCREEN APPLICATIONS ->enabled applications -> untick Intellisync
the email setup icon now dissapears on my E71.
I can't find a decent explanation of what intellisync actually does, but all my email is working as before.
To be honest i could probably just remove the set up program as I won't ever need to add another email account..

Finding my Add Contacts from the home page!

OK, I give up.
I'm new to this.
I just cannot fathom how to get to that screen shown in the tutorials, from the home page which appears when I sign in.
The screen I want is the one which actually lets you add contacts and make (Skype-to-Skype) calls.
If I can't get to it, Skype is useless.
Don't want to do anything flash. I just want to make Skype-to-Skype calls..!

How to add a BUTTON on a page

Hello,
1) I need to add BUTTON on a page, so that
whenever a user clicks, it will display a report and also prints it.
2) Are there any triggers associated to a page, like when page click etc. I have requirement, like whenever a user clicks the tab, a report has to be open in a new window !!!
3) Finally, I need to display name,age,job etc on page, what is the best way !!!

In table view, how to add one button for selecting page?

In the OBIEE 11.1.1.6, we have one uncommon requirement that customers want to randomly select actual page to view expected data in table view.
For example:
We make use of some columns to create one report in table view, and set 'Rows per Page' equal to '5',
if this report contains 60 rows, it will have 12 pages, so customers want to select sepcial page number to view the some data. Is it possible to implement this requirement? Maybe we should write JS code.
Note: Below table view, it has four buttons: First Row, Previous Row, Next Row and Display (500) rows in per page. So we want to add one button to select per page.
We look at orgnial codes in WebBrowse, but do not know the following codes derive from which JS file.
Could you please tell me how to find this file?

Thanks for listening me.
I agree 11g have some issues unlike 10g. I've tried the same by creating a measure rcount(1) and name it as Page in RPD. I just pulled column Page in pivot table section 'Pivot Table Prompts' it is working but this may not answer your requirements.
I would suggest to use the column in Prompt and go by between operator to allow user to select the rows between.
In the report make Page as prompted.
If you are okay with this can look forward to tweak it further, like values in the prompt multiple of 5 or 10s some thing like that.

you can using webelements depending on your version of enterprise and using the dhtml viewer. this works on the report level so that other reports can still have the export button available.

How to remove the EDIT button from Overview Page

I have a overview page for Service Request(SRQM_INCIDENT_H - component). Now, I want to remove the EDIT button from the overview page and want to place it for each assignment block.
I have seen the there is concept calles VIEW_GROUP_CONTEXT. However, I am not sure how exactly I need to apply that and what code and where I need to write.

we removed in our system a lot of the standard buttons in this overview page like this:

Removing of unused buttons on detail page.

I know the answer is NO for this question -:) but any suggestions . My requirement is in the details page I don't required NEW,ADD buttons in the details page and when in the opportunity Product revenue detail page i don't required Update Opportunity Product Totals . Could you please suggest how to do this, or can i raise a enhancement request to Oracle.

This is possible by writing a javascript functions. Storing those functions in Objects Web Applet and pushing that web applet into the page layout.
