Nokia 5230 wont start.

Hi,
I got a screen message saying: "Insert Sim card."
And since it already was in, I desided to take it out and put it back in.
But now when i try to turn it on, it only gives me a white screen, then it vibrates
and after a while it shuts down again.
What is the problem?
(Battery is recharged)

It would appear that the only option you have left to try a hard reset, which is done on phones like this by holding down the green, red and camera keys whilst you switch the phone on. They all need to be kept pressed until the Nokia logo appears, this should force a hard reset. If this doesn't work, you would need to take it to a Nokia service point.
Regrettably, without the phone switching on your data is lost, and the hard reset process will wipe it anyway, so if you don't have a recent backup you will lose some stuff.

Nokia 5230 wont start normal, white screen. Please...

I started a update in new OVI SUITE it downloaded the update - (internet radio, new OVi maps, Scribble and something else) and when installing it just said it cant connect to service stoped the install and said to start over. When i tried my phone restarted and it just went to a white screen. I tried to restart, Hard reset with SIM and without, took out the battery and SD card and waited but nothing. BTW i connected to power supply when when i did everything.
That **bleep** OVI SUITE is really messed up. Really dissapionted
Please HELP!! What to do????

Nokia N95 wont start up

Hi All,
my Nokia N95 wont start up,
this morning I tried to listen to the radio thru my Nokia N95, but no sound was coming out of the headphones so I thought it was a bug and I decided to turn my phone off and on again, and I havent been able to get it to turn back on since.
When I try to turn it on, the nokia logo appears, but the screen isnt properly backlit (looks like its on standby), there is no vibration that I normally get when I turn it on,and then after a few seconds the screen fades off as if the power to it was cut.
When I turned the phone off it still had 2 bars of battery left, I have tried charging the phone, and removing the battery, and I also tried holding down different buttons as I started the phone, but so far no luck.
the phone is probably about 8 months old, roughly.
tl;dr: phone wasnt outputting sound, I tried to restart it and it never started again.
any help would be appreciated!

Looks like you have already tried removing the battery and leaving it out for a vew minutes as well as the 3 finger reset. But just in case you were not doing it right, I'll explain it again.
Don;t forget to backup your phone before trying any of this.
Firstly take the battery out for 5 minutes and then replace and see if that makes any difference.
Then try the "3 finger deep reset" which is depress these three keys simultaneously "*" "3" "green phone" and then power on phone whilst keeping those same three keys depressed until you hear start-up tone.
This should ONLY be done if the device doesn't power up normally anymore and it wipes everything in the Phone memory that is not part of the ROM.
Also try restarting without the memory card.
If none of the above works then you will have no choice but to send it to your Nokia Care Point.

Nokia 5230 wont update

Hi I have a nokia 5230, it keeps saying the phone software needs to be updated to version number 21.0.004, but every time I start the update it just says processing for about 30 seconds then stops and doesn't do any thing, can anyone help?

Try all available options to update viz.
Via software update app installed in phone
By pressing *#0000# in homescreen and pressing options>check for update.
Via pc.
Try at a different time because sometime server may be down.
If nothing works visit your nearest nokia care, they'll do it for you.

MY NOKIA N97 WONT START

my phone wont start and honestly i dont want to hard reset and lose all my msgs and contacts and everything. it just freezes at the nokia logo and nothing happens and i discovered this problem is quite popular so what can i do to make it start?

Why would I want to make a hard reset and loose all my data if the phone doesn´t start properly, when I can simply take the battery out for 20 minutes and everything gets back to "normal"?!

Nokia 5800 wont start

My nokia 5800 xp. fell in water half year ago , then i taked it out of water, taked battery off and i dried it four days and dried with a foam too. then after that phone worked fine with no problems... and now it wont start, its only vibrates. i tried force start but nothing. i taked memoy card off and sim card off ...nothing.. i remember two days ago some problems started ( if i started recharging battery then phone recharged for some time and then said that battery is full) ... do someone know what to do... i think there is some hope, because its vibrates

Well unfortunately after you have dropped your phone in water it will most likely end its days due to corrosion after some time, but it could be other things too.
What you mean about force start? Hard reset?
If you haven't tried that, it's worth a shot, but if done successfully it will wipe contacts, messages etc off the phonememory. Otherwise you will have to take it to a Nokia care point for help.

Nokia E6 Wont start up

Hi folks
Its been three month since i bought my Nokia E6, I was pretty happy with the phone uptil Yesterday.
I pulled down the screen lock rocker to check for any updates, but there was no display. the backlights were all on though, i tried swithcing off using the power button, but it wont switch off, so i removed the batt, after that the phone simply refused to boot up. when i pressed the power button it giave me the usual vibrartion and thats it. No display/backlight or anything. I tried removing the SIM and battery and then re-inserting just the battery and then turned it on but still same result. When i put it on charge it gives me the usual blip and the charging LED blinks at times..but the phone will not start up.

I just started having the same problem. I called Nokia and it sounds like it isn't even covered under the 1 year limited warranty so they send you to their approved repair center, Palco Cell Phone Repair (palcocellphonerepair.com). I called them, 256-883-3434 and they tell you an estimate of the cost for repair after detailing the issue. Cost is $90 after Shipping & Handling and there is no guarantee on fixing the issue but if they can't fix, you pay $23 (with S&H).
If anyone has any other options, the information would be greatly appreciated. I really like this phone!

Nokia 5530 wont start

I was starting up my nokia 5530 and it shows the nokia logo with white background thats it. I have taken out the battery and sim put them back in and just does the same even if its switched off and put in the charger and just shows the same thing. This is the second time this has happened but forgot how i got i working plus the phone is onlt over a month old can anybody help?

For how long have you had the battery out? Usually havening the battery out for approximately 20 minutes helps...

Nokia N81 wont start..

i bought the Nokia N81 2 gb from china......i was updating my phone......during installation i had electricity breakdown.....and then mobile screen got white ,so i restarted the phone...but now its not opening at all.....only when i connect it through usb while opening ,my pc give a sound of usb connection but mobile is still off...i need help....how do i make my phone to factory setting or how to start it.

Nokia 1325 wont start

Hi all
I have a Nokia 1325 that after charging will not start up. The screen flashes every two seconds and it only shows the battery bar. The only way to turn it off is take the battery out. I have tried to reboot it buy holding down * 3 and the green button and turning it on but nothing! Does anyone have any other ideas? By the way the warranty just ran out. Murpheys law aye!

this is a very basic phone , the code that you are stating is only for the s60 devices will not work on yours. the only thing that you can do is take it to nokia care for service

Nokia camera wont start up

Every time i try to start the camera,slide the lens cover, or by clicking on the camera application my nokia n95 just roates oreiantion then flashes and returns back to normal. the camera doesnt seem to work along with camera abled apps like the barcode reader. can anyone help me with this poblem

if u can find a nokia partner in ur area I would advise u you take it there. if not then take it to ur favourite cousin who knows how to fix phones.

You are using a video with wrong format. The 5230 will play .3gp and mpeg4(mp4)

My Nokia 5230 blurs, any help?

My Nokia 5230 has started to blur (there're lines shaking vertically) when i click the red button or unlock it. This doesn't happen all he time. I did some search and i found this is a common problem even for 5800. I have updated the firmware to the latest version. Is there any solution other than taking it to the store?

Why don't bring it to a Nokia care point immediately and get the problem out of this world?
Edit: What you could do though, if you want to eliminate software failure of any kind is to:
1: remove the memory card and check how the phone behaves without it.
2: Remove Sim and see how the phone behaves without it.
3: do a soft reset. This will wipe your phone memory so make sure you make a backup using ovi suit or nokia pc suite, or the onboard backup client (I suggest backing up to your computer).
Now, don't install your backups yet, but wait and see how the device behaves.
If the phone is still behaving like you mentioned, you will have to seek help at a Nokia care
point.
Note that these moves are likely not to fix such behavior and that it is that last thing you should be doing, but it might be worth a try if you want to try everything before you take it to a Nokia care point.

5230 camera wont start up =[

anyone have any idea why my nuron 5230's camera wont start up? it just gives me a blank black screen... and when i try to switch it to video mode it tells me "memory is full switch memory?" then i click yes but it just crashes and brings me back to the home screen... anyone have any idea whats wrong? or any fixes? i already tried to take the battery off, restore to factory settings, and that reset [press and hold green, red, camera, and power button till phone boots up] but its still like this... please help! thanks...

Firmware/software update may cure this issue.
Go thro your phone memory and dump any clutter too.
