NO UPDATES FOR NOKIA 5235

Hi everyone...
I have two phones.. The nokia 5230 and the 5235 music unlimited..The nokia 5230 receives its updates almost regularly and rite now it;s on it's way to download v20.05... But my other phone, the 5235 it's struck on v12.. Which is quite depressing... Why nokia is ignoring updates for this phone and is their any way to manually download updates of 5230 for 5235..plz help

and you can't download updates of 5230 then install on 5235.

Nokia 6700 supported by Nokia Multimedia Transfer

Hello All,
Please note that Nokia 6700 device is supported by nokia multimedia Transfer for mac

Download Nokia Multimedia Transfer
Connect the device and select PC suite mode in the device
Then click the icon on the menu bar, and go to tools and settings
Then select check for updates now with the device connected.
The device profile will be downloaded.
Restart Nokia Multimediate Transfer and lauch again

Just a note for people who are as non observant as I was and who might find this useful...
My Nokia 6700 slide wouldn't sync, no matter what I did and even when I installed:

For some reason, by default, my Nokia came with Sync settings disabled on the phone.
So to remedy this, go to:
Settings > Connectivity > Sync >
And select all the things you want to sync before you run iSync. I missed this in the manual, I spent about 8 hours trying to fix it and all to no avail until I found this simple ommission.
Also, if you need to uninstall the nokia isync plugin, just go to:
/Library/PhonePlugins
and delete the relevant files.

Why does the Malaysian Nokia website say that a 6300 supports wma when the uk one says it doesn't?
Nokia Music Manager doesn't have support for WMA. So how then do you copy wma music to the phone?
My version of Nokia Music Manager has an option to search my PC for music, but doesn't find anything! I have some MP3 and mostly WMA. With MP3 selected it still doesn't find anything.
My experience with Nokia Suite over the past 6 years is less than favourable. Any free alternatives out there?
Do I have to get a Micro SD to SD converter and copy the files to the Micro SD card to get it to work?

Number for Nokia tech support

I've put in a repair request to Nokia tech support via the aveno page, I received payment confirmation but nothing else, as it's supposed to be pick up next day I have no idea what to do. I phoned aveno who told me to email Nokia techs email address as they do not have a number, I emailed and have yet to receive a reply. Does anyone have a number for them at all? Getting a bit anxious that they have taken my money and won't actually complete a repair.

Have you tried tracking your repair status? You should have received a reference number in an email if you've paid.

Nokia 5235 Software Issue

Hi,
I am using nokia 5235 mobile. While trying to update mobile software using nokia suite it is showing 12052 error.
while I am checking the mobile version using *#0000# .
It is showing the following details:
Software version : v50.9.002
Software version date 24-5-2011
custom version : 50.9.002.562.01
Custom version date 19-07-2011
Model : 5238 ---------------> I guess this is wrong.
Type : RM -588
Can anyone help me how to solve this issue.

Recently my mobile software is corrupted because I downloaded 2 anti virus at a time, so the mobile is not working properly.
I approached Nokia service center for update software, after 2 days they told that some problem is there with my mobile so they are not able to install the software and mobile is switched off.
Then I approached private mobile repair organization , they did something with in a 1 hour span and my mobile is working fine. After that I noticed that they have installed different version of the software,
Nokia service center people said that some mobile mother board is not working.
Is it true. Can I update my mobile to latest nokia 5235 software.

It does not support HDMI probably a cost cutting measure,it supports microUSB v2.0, USB On-the-go support.

Nokia Suite Support for Nokia 301

Hello
Does anyone know what the official Nokia position is regarding Nokia Suite supporting the Noklia 301? I'd like to be able to sync music, install any future firmware upgrades etc etc without needing to use a mobile data connection. If Nolkia aren;t going to upgrade Nokia Suite to support the 301 is there going to be an alternative?

To all members of this board that purchased Nokia 301 Dual SIM here's what you should know.
1. Nokia Suite http://www.nokia.com/nokiasuite is practically useless
You cannot backup your messages and contacts . (see attached screenshot stuck at 50%)
You cannot sync your calendar and contacts to OUTLOOK
You cannot choose what SIM you'll send after you compose SMS at Nokia Suite
You cannot backup your ALL your contacts. There is a feature that you can export to CSV but it's not complete. The numbers that are saved in your phone will not be exported via CSV.
Buttomline. Just use the backup feature of your phone. And save it on your SD card. I'm now looking a buyer of this phone. Perhaps I'll just buy a cheap android phone that I can sync calendars and contacts.

i buy Nokia 603 Two months before and before i buy it i checked all specification it was IPS LCD display but now i checked it is written in specification at Nokia.com that Amoled Dispaly why and how??

The Nokia N96 supports 16gb micro SD cards!
http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products/accessories/all-accessories choose N96 on the left and then you´ll see tha 16gb card and if Nokia sells it as an accessory for the N96 they´re compatible!
