Nokia 5300 music

hi folks,
does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying music nokia already has on the 5300 music player?
it takes up memory space and i would like to get rid of it.
any help is appreciated.

Nokia 5300 Xpress Music edition

Hi,
Lately my Nokia 5300 as having some software problems, theMusic Player application doesen't work properly, i try to start it, it refreshes the librar, then it shows me the Music Player starting message an then it starts to refresh the library again and does it all the time without starting.
I'm sorry if my text it's confused, i'm not god at englis, i'm from Portugal.

Hey, the nokia peeps are not directly associated with this board.
They send if any important notice is available via the mods and read only the select topics.
As 5300 xpress msuic supports Java apps, I think you should be able to find out lots of them around the web.

I'm using Nokia 5300 XpressMusic, is it possible or any ways for me to move or copy my inbox messages stored in the phone to my 2G Micro Sd Card?~ thanks.

Not a feature of S40 devices to designate memory card as SMS storage AFAIK, so you might have to backup to Nokia Suite if too many on phone.

Nokia 5300: please help!

i have a problem with my nokia 5300 xpress music phone! I can listen to the radio with my headphones, but when i play my music, it only plays via the loudspeakers and not through the headphones!! i've emailed nokia and they've repeatedly advised me to check that i'm using nokia original accessories and i am using the ones that came in the box! so i duno what the problem is!! is there some setting that i have to change to play the music through the headphones instead of the loudspeakers?? I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out! Thanks in advance!

If you haven't emptied your trash while the phone is connected, just re-connect your phone to the Mac and then empty your trash. While you deleted files from your phone's memory card, the Mac actually doesn't delete it until you run the "Secure Empty Trash" command.

Nokia 5300 chinese language setting missing

My phone is Nokia 5300 Express Music. The first time i'm using Nokia PC Suite, going to update some software. The software is firewall update. After updated, i realized my phone language setting is changed. Chinese and Malay language is gone and others language like romana, deutsch and something else was appear. I think maybe is the software updated so the language setting also changed. So i might need help to change the language setting back to chinese cause i need chinese language to use for my phone book in chinese words.
Anyone is know about any software to help me fix my problem???

Your phone was intended for sale in a part of the world other than where you are. The importer/retailer installed the appropriate language packs for you but didn't tell you that this was the case. If you have a gripe against anyone, it's against the importer/retailer.
We can't direct you to the Nokia care points for your country because we don't know what your country is. What you can do is go to http://www.nokia.com and follow directions to support for your country from there.

Problem transfering photo from Nokia 5300 to Mac

I am unable to transfer photos from my new Nokia 5300 to my MacPro. As soon as i connected the data transfer via USB, iPhoto opened up and give the option of transfering, but when i click start, it does not transfer at all. And make my computer hang sometimes. I try draging the files to the desktop but that doesn't work too.
Anyone having this problem? Please help!

OK Here is how to transform Music to Nokia 5300 phone from MAC
1.Go to settings and open connectivity
2.Make sure USB is plugged in
3. Go to USB data cable
4. It should give you the options of Nokia Mode, Music sync, and Data storage.
5. Select Data storage
6.When you do this iphoto will pop up. Dont worry!! close the i photo.
7. Look on Desktop and you will see the phone labeled as untitled.
8. Click it and you will see the my music folder. Thats it!!!
9. Now Drag the music from your i tunes Library to the folder.
You can do the same with video and pictures

hi! i have a nokia 5300 xpress music phone. i had a msg vanish from my drafts folder when i was overwriting a msg but i pressed the hangup button thinking the msg was already saved. when i was gonna add more stuff to the msg,i went back to the drafts folder and the msg was gone? missing? what happened? did i accidentally delete the msg when i pressed hang up button? if any knows wut happened or knows how to recover the msg in drafts folder pls fill me in. the msg had important links of credit loans & hurricane ike aid. thanks

I do not know why it didn't save it to drafts but I do know that it is not possible to recover it.

Nokia 5300 only showing 57 songs?

just got my 2gb card for my nokia 5300 express phone and have put quite i few songs on it but for some reason only 57 are showing up? but if i go into the mem card i can play them that way but not with the music player or the side buttons..
also my music is in wma format if it matters

I beleive i have tracked down the issue. When you record in Windows format it will pass along the copy protection. If you ever tried to play a WMA on another computer it will request a download of the verify file for that song. You are also limited to how many times you can download the file. Since there is no way to download the vefication on your phone, it want play. I beleive there is a check box for exclude copy protection when you rip the music. I just got fed up and record everything to MP3

Nokia 5300 battery

I am having real problem with the Nokia 5300 battery life. I have never expect this type of problem with Nokia phones. I usually encounter this type of problem with Motorola phones. I've bought this phone for 2 weeks and already have to buy a spare battery because the phone battery keeps running out. I use the bluetooth headset sometimes (on standby) other than that I hardly ever talk on the phone and would not dare using it to listen to music since I am worry about the battery. There is no reason why I should charge my phone that often. Not only does the battery not last, it takes 3 - 4 hours to charge. Changing spare battery has not been a easy task too. The back casing is very difficult to open when you have long nails.
I have been using Nokia phones for the last 10 years, changed 8 different models, and had loved every one of them. This is the first time that I am disappointed.

Nokia 5300 - Pc Suite Cd and Memory Problem *pleas...

Hey, Well i bought the nokia 5300 (love it minus my 1 problem)
So I installed the disk that came with the box (pc suite) and it worked. Now I enter the program and transfer a song from my computer to my phone and it says I dont have enough memory in my phone.
Problem is- The only thing I have on my phone is 4 ringtones I downloaded off of the phone. and about 6 contacts. Everything else that came with the phone is still on it minus a few graphics..me thinking it will free memory. But NOTHING. Still won't work! So do i need to buy a memory card or something (if theres such thing for this phone) so that i can get music on it, or do I have to do something else, like compress the file and if so how do I do that?
...thought it would be simple to do this but im really having problems with this. Help is much appreciated

Similar problems, but on a N73.
Every time I sync my phone it's a mission to get it working either via Bluetooth or USB. USB is a little more reliable.
So usually I get it working, but yesterday nothing could get it working. I managed to get a Bluetooth connection which stayed alive long enough to delete all my calendar entries ready to write a replacement but then failed. Now I have no appointments in my phone.
On the usb cable the symptoms I get are that the phone recognises when I plug the USB cable in and briefly displays that it is enabling PC Suite mode, but that's it. No other indication (I think usually there's a little icon on the right that indicates PC Suite operation,
PC Suite on the PC doesn't recognise that there is any phone connection.
I went into the PC Suite profile in my phone and I was intereste to see that only two options a given for connection "Bluetooth" and "Internet". Is this normal? Remember I have been using USB with PC Suite fine for some time and with no other change it now doesn't work.
I eventually uninstalled and reinstalled all Nokia stuff and the Bluetooth drivers and software.
But alas no change. Phone is still not recognised.

Nokia 5300 software update problem

I don't know why, but I decided to updated Nokia 5300 XpressMusic with the latest software from nokia.com.
I think that this was a mistake,
because after the update (using nokia pc suite, fully charged bateryy and so on...) things have changed.
Now, when i use downloaded from internet themes everything is almost okay, but if the top and bottom skin bars are grey for example on phone's desktop they are always blue, with every skin (except installed by default).
And if I use these new themes the icons are becoming bigged for e second and normal after that (in menu), which makes them ugly
And another thing, after the software update, when I go to menu and choose a category the icons inside the category are becomming a little bigger than before, which makes them ugly again, cause they are not made so big.

I've done it myself, and it works. I doubt it's a bug of 3.92 software.
About the logos getting bigger and smaller, again, that's probably a characteristic of the theme (you have to know that icon images are defined within the theme, it's more than only setting the background). If you don't like the logos, probably the theme is to blame, not v3.92

my 5300 music player doesnot scan music files from my memory card it's only scan music fils from phone memory, I can play music files in my memory card from gallery

I'm having the same problem with my music player not working and have tried all the ways suggested but it still isn't working I was just wondering if anyone had any new idea's. The music player stopped working before due to too many messages and a lack of memory but that can't be the problem this time as i have deleted all messages on my phone, if anyone has any ideas they will be very welcome

Nokia 5300 - Messagges not saved in Sent folder

I just got this Nokia 5300 and when I send text messages they don't get saved in the Sent Folder. Any idea how to fix that?

try message settings,
Menu>Messaging>Message Settings>General Settings>Save sent messages...change to yes.

Box too small to write in NOKIA 5300

I have a Nokia 5300Xpress Music.
I periodically check my email, so using Tzones browser thinger, I go to AOL.com and get to my inbox. I read an email, and I try to reply. The page either comes up as "response unknown"..or the box to write in is WAYYY too small and I can't see anything I'm writing.
How can I fix this? Or is there any other way to get to my emails, be able to read them and reply, from my phone?

It probably the browser which is having difficulty displaying the page.
Try installing this browser instead, it's more advanced than nokia's own.
