Nokia 5300 video problem
Hi.
I have a nokia 5300: i can set a video for incoming call but, when i receive a call, its volume is less than the original video. What can i do?

But i noted something i dont know it was exist before update or not, that thing is..:
*When i tried to open youtube video i noted that the video lenght is appear in the video player in my phone, that mean my mobile could connect to the youtube and got the video data like lenght and size.....So what could be happened to make my phone disconnect and display the bad message saying (no response, try again)...???!!!!
Any ideas, solutins while my phone haven't any data to lose or worry about it.....!!!Its not about memory Sharloyn, there is no message about memories

Hi, i recently bought a Nokia 5300, and for some reason, i am not able to play certain ringtones. Most don't work and the error message that it gives me is "File size too large" which i don't really understand.. why there would be a limit on the size of the mp3 being played as the ringtone.. and also, some mp3s, will say "Not allowed by activation key"... any ideas?

It looks more like a corrupt memory card.
Connect the handset to your computer in mass storage mode and recover what you can off the memory card. Disconnect the phone and then format the memory card. Reconnect and copy your data back to the phone.

My 5300 has a problem recording a video.
When I record a video, it can capture the video part, but not the sound part. After I record the video, when I view it, it doesn't have any sound at all.
But when I record a video with the nokia earphones inserted, it can record the sound through the microphone in the earphones.
Does this mean the built-in microphone in my phone is broken, or is there just a setting somewhere telling the phone to disable the built-in microphone?Does sound like there's a problem with the phone mike - I think you'll have to take it to a service centre for repair

I have a problem with Nokia E52....previously i've owned a Nokia N95 8GB and it was a great phone ! Now that i've swapped it with a Nokia E52, i transferred all my videos from the N95 8GB to my E52 to discover a very annoying thing: videos played on the E52 that comes from my old N95 stutters (both audio and video).
Video heavily skips on the E52...i don't know why....i've tried moving the video to phone memory, same thing happens also ! It so much skips that videos are very unwatchable...isn't it supposed to run smooth ? Or am i missing something here ?Well, in that case, consider a reset.
1) *#7780# 12345 restore factory settings, keep data
2) *#7370# 12345 reformat, lose all data
What I meant earlier is, place the files from the memory card on the PC, check the files. Place the memory card in the phone and format the card, it creates default folders for video, audio, etc... Then place the files from the PC back in the default folders.

(TAKES A BREATHER...)most people have class4 microSDHC cards so it seems that this shouldn't be the cause of the video playback problems, as theoretically should be able to transfer content to the card at a maximum of 4MB/sec. anyways, have you tried doing a three-finger hard reset since updating to the new firmware? it is always good practice to perform this kind of reset after performing a firmware update, to ensure that the phone is nice and has a new slate to work with.

Last week I decided to upgrade my 3310 and bought a 5300 instead. The card which was in the phone when I got it is way to small for my space requirements so I bought a Sandisk 4gb since I heard those are the best.
Here comes the trouble, when I pop in the memory card the phone wont read it. I cant find it anywhere.
Is it a SD malfunction, phone malfunction or something 3rd ?
NikolaThe 5300 is quite an old model now and it's only capable of using a 2gb card at maximum.
4GB cards are a different format (SDHC) and these cannot be read by older models.
So you need to buy a 2GB card. -
Nokia n96 video problems.Need help please
how do i go about putting videos on through pc suite but everytime i try, it starts converting and stops quatre way there.
i tryed using another media converter all together now don't know what format or resolution the videos have to be converted to in order to work on my phone. the videos i have been trying to convert are .avi format.
does anyone have any advice that can help me?PC suite is the wrong tool for this job as it's not very good at handling large files.

Problem transfering photo from Nokia 5300 to Mac
I am unable to transfer photos from my new Nokia 5300 to my MacPro. As soon as i connected the data transfer via USB, iPhoto opened up and give the option of transfering, but when i click start, it does not transfer at all. And make my computer hang sometimes. I try draging the files to the desktop but that doesn't work too.
Anyone having this problem? Please help!OK Here is how to transform Music to Nokia 5300 phone from MAC
1.Go to settings and open connectivity
2.Make sure USB is plugged in
3. Go to USB data cable
4. It should give you the options of Nokia Mode, Music sync, and Data storage.
5. Select Data storage
6.When you do this iphoto will pop up. Dont worry!! close the i photo.
7. Look on Desktop and you will see the phone labeled as untitled.
8. Click it and you will see the my music folder. Thats it!!!
9. Now Drag the music from your i tunes Library to the folder.
You can do the same with video and pictures

Nokia 5300 USB PC-Suite connection problem
I have tried to get my Nokia 5300 to connect to PC-Suite through the supplied USB cable. I can get a connection using Bluetooth, but with USB I can only connect the 5300 in disk mode.
I can see that many others on these pages have reported the same symptoms I experience:
- Error message during installation of PC-Suite regarding "setupext.exe" referencing memory at location "0x00000000".
- Windows "New hardware" wizard interfering when the 5300 is connected, popping up and insisting on installing new drivers, then failing and after you have closed the wizard it repeats this procedure.
So, apparently the cable driver installed is not recognized by Windows as the correct driver for this connection. I have tried in vain to clean out the installation in order to start over:
- Removed cable connectivity driver using the "Remove software" control panel.
- Same action for PC-Suite.
- Used the PC-Cleaner program to remove all traces of the installation (this failed)
- Manually (using regedit.exe) removed the last traces of Nokia entries in the registry.
And then, after re-installing the latest version of PC-Suite with my firewall disabled, I still have the same problem.
At this point I don't really know how to proceed and any suggestions that could help me overcome this problem would be highly appreciated.Just to balance this a bit, I just connected 5300 to my PC with cable, did you use any wizard what so ever, only selected the mode in phone screen, waited for 10 secs and I was connected to PC Suite, so yes, you guys have a problem but it is not a designed feature that the connection build up is that complicated. Unfortunately I do not know what is the difference between my PC setup and yours so that I could suggest a rootcause for the problem
