Hi everyone, after downloading a new software ver 9.42 for my phone, i dont have russian luanguage in settings. Please help me )))

It's not possible to add the language pack yourself.
What you need to do is take your phone to a nokia care point and they will be able to add the pack for you. They will also be able to explain to you why the language was lost.

Elsewhere: Click here, select your country, go to the support section, then select repair.

Sometimes the compatibility thing may vary. Even if the nokia website says that is not compatible with that device, they can be sure compatible each other.

Nokia 5310 Express Music - Screensaver, Powersave ...

Hi.
My nokia 5310 Express Music (my software version is V09.42), has suddenly changed.
My screensaver, powersave and sleep mode stopped working. I have everything ON in the settings.
After some time the screen turns black, but I can still see the wallpaper.
And, if I don't use it for a while the keypad stop working too. If I turn it off and then turn on again it starts working. (I use to believe that it was a hardware problem, but the thing is, when the keypad doesn't work, the volume button,and the PLAY does not work too.
I think both of the problems are related, (the screensaver, powersave, sleep mode, keypad) because they appeared at the same time.
I've tried to update the software using the USB cable, I've tried to restore to the factory settings, I've tried taking out the battery, everything and still not working.
I don't know what to do anymore. Can any of you guys help me?

Nokia 5610 Xpress Music - Problem with Application...

Hi all..
I have a problem in my Nokia 5610 Xpress Music.
I can't access Applications! When I enter an application, a message says:"supportive file. nothing to display". However, I can enter some of the 'Applications' from the 'Go to' button in the stand by screen. My 'Calculator' has disappeared from my Organizer.
If anyone helps to solve this problem, it would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Most of us here are just nokia users like you or anybody else who asks a problem here and seeks a solution.We are not professionals,and only try to help others.
Now, in this present case: For an instance,The calculator has disappeared. It is a part of firmware which cannot be edited.If it was a symbian phone then there was a possibility of developing a patch.But, with s40's the only option you have is to go for an firmware upgrade,if you can do it by yourself then well enough.Otherwise you need to visit the care center where you can get your firmware updated or get a stable firmware which has a calculator.

As long as you buy a reputable brand from an equally reputable store (online or physical), you should be fine. Many of the unbranded cards available on eBay, for example, are often fakes or knock-offs that barely work and are therefore to be avoided.
I tend to recommend SanDisk as that's the brand I use and with which I've had absolutely zero problems.
Make sure the card is a class 4 card at least. Some class 2 cards have created problems with phones. There is no advantage to buying a class 6 card for a 5310XM so you might as well go with the cheaper of the two (class 4 or class 6).

Update nokia 5800 Express music problem

Hi all!
I wanted to Update my nokia using NSU and all i get is this: "No software updates available for your phone
Please note that your mobile service provider, operator or carrier may not have approved the latest Nokia device firmware available."
And my firmware wersion is: 11.0.008
Does that mean that i cant update my software?

It means that you can't update your phone with NSU at the moment.
What country are you from and is the phone originally intended for that country/region?
Is your phone operator branded/customized? If so, who is the operator?
Often with operator branded phones, it takes longer for updates to become available because the operator has to approve it.
And, unfortunately, sometimes the operators do not authorize/approve any updates (it costs them money to do so, I presume).

takeout the card ( micro sd)
connect it to comp with a card reader .
make a backup of ur files.
format the card . [ as FAT -- file system ]
copy back what ever u need.

Nokia 5310 Express music PC software install failu...

I am trying to install PC Suite 6.84 on a Microsoft Windows PC running ME operating system.
I get the follwing error messages from the install program
as soon as install starts-
'A device attached to the system is not functioning'
then immediately after
'Error starting program
The Nokia_PC_Suite_6_84_10_3_EA.EXE file
is linked to missing export USER32.DLLetLayeredWindowsAttributes'
What is wrong?
Does ME support Suite 6.84?

Please be informed that PC suite no longer is supported in Windows ME OS. The current version is PC suite 7.0.7 and its designed for WIndows Xp and Windows Vista.

About the performance of 5310 express music

hi all
i am planing to buy a new nokia cellphone n i like the look of 5310 express music...I feel that most of the slim phones have poor battery life & soft loudspeakers...does the 5310 has the same problem like low battery backup or poor sound quality?
i am asking becoz after using my nokia 6600 for about 1.5 years the nokia care people are teling me that the joystick is a failuer in that model itself...
so plz let me know if there are any fault in the model 5310 express music, so that i would go for some other one...

Sorry to say that the loudspeaker found on the N5310 is kinda soft and tinny. I'm not discouraging anyone from buying this phone but that's the truth.The battery life is just like the same with N6300..but usually depends on your usage pattern.
PROS:
Good sound quality coming from the earphones
Slim and sleek design
Great screen display
3.5mm plug is a big factor
CONS: You will just think of it after you bought it.
This phone is one of the slimmest Nokia ever.

5310 Express Music - Default number mobile/fixed i...

Hello,
I bought the new 5310 Express Music. When I am going into my contact list to call some one and when I press the green button to call the selected user the phone is calling the fixed number instead of the mobile number, by default. If I want to call the mobile number I need to select the user click on it and than select the phone style (fixed or mobile).
Is there a way to have the mobile number choosen by default?

the only way i have found that you can change the default is by editing the numbers in thwe contacts menu or on the PC suite.

5310 Express Music Weirdness

Hey I have a 5310 Express Music. The same thing used to happen as someone else said, it used to restart itself in the middle of a song. And nowadays, when you try to switch it on, it blinks, the date and time reset menu comes up, and before you could do more, the phone switches off again. I took out the memory card and tried it, no luck. I left the phone alone for a day, no luck. I even tried charging it and switching it on, yet no luck.
Please help!

Nokia 5800 express music monitor "screen" problem

hi all,
i've a nokia 5800 device and i've faced a very serious problem:
when i lock the phone and unlock it the monitor or screen dont appear as previous normally, instead of that shaked colored lines appear, so i can't see who is calling. But the touch is working normally so i can play music or answer calls but without knowing who is calling.
if i switch the phone off then switch it on i see the the screen normally, and when it locked then unlocked the same problem appears again.
i've tried to solve the problem by formatting the device but it is no use

I've been having a very similar problem with my nokia 5800 expressmusic.
it started off like yours but then the screen went fully black.
the green, white and red buttons at the bottom work so does the small touch button at the top right.. those lights always come on when i unlock the phone so they're fine.
I know that my phone is still working because i was randomly touching the screen when the phone was unlocked (even though i cannot see anything on it) and i ended up calling somebody. my only problem is that i cannot see the screen at all!!
i've tired turning my phone off, taking out sim and memory cards, putting different sims in and charging it.
nothing works!!
is there anything i can do?
can anybody help me with this?
or is my phone just past its 'use by' date?
