I guess after update to latest firmware, all your DRM licenses were wiped out.

Unable to play/activate preloaded songs in Nokia 5...

Hi Experts,
I purchased nokia 5130 phone yesterday which comes with 60 preloaded songs. While trying to run the songs under folder 'Music' it asks to activate the ".dcx" file which dosent happens even if I try.
When I asked the Nokia priority shop owner he pointed that there is no SIM so that could be a reason. Even after putting the SIM I am having the same issues.
Is there any way I could ACTIVATE these songs, these songs seems to be locked somehow...
Any help is highly apprecaited.

its nothing to do with sim have you tried going through the music player with through the menu.also try use the pc suite to see if they come up on list and see if they can be played on it

How to activate the song, artist and album windows so you can type in those entries

how do you activate the windows for song, artist, album in iTunes library? I used to put the cursor over the category, double click on it, then type in the song name, artist name, album, genre etc., but that technique doesn't seem to work now.

Nokia 5310 How to turn on radio

A couple of days ago I was using the radio function and it was working fine. Now I can no longer use it, when I go to menu, media and highlight and clock radio it says "radio off". How do you turn it back on???

What comes in mind would be that the audio adapter is of different specification than the orginal, not sure though.
I tried to listen to radio once and had only my Senheiser headset attached without the Nokia audio adapter to the handheld and the radio did not work.
Also the unknown symbol may indicate that there is an error that the firmware assumes that there is a call on hold or something alike.
Also my network operator does not support PTT-connectivity. The icon might refer to that feature.

The front speaker is a bit quiet, even when set to max. How can I activate back speaker to work during conversations ? I can't find any info in user manual.

Not all phones have a speakerphone option. If you can't find it in the options when a call is active, and if there is no mention of it in the manual, then your phone doesn't have this option.

A thread on how to activate your songs!

I had a few problems with my account a few years ago, and so made another one, the thing is i bought 69 songs on my original account which i am downloading now onto my new ps3 slim, but i have over 30 more songs on the other account and i cant for the life of me remember anything about the other account, i dont know what email or password i used to buy the songs, is there anyother way to get the songs back.

I just discovered this thread after finding another thread on the same topic. Anyway, I'm having a similar issue. "The slected item cannot be downloaded because it is associated with another system." I've called Sony here in Canada, but they told me that I agreed to only have it on one system so they can't do anything! I want to take off the system I don't use and use it on the system I use. So what happened was that I thought I could play this game at my friend's house (so I didn't have to lug my ps3 to my friend's place as it is heavy and awkward to bring on the bus). We installed the game on his ps3 and I signed into my account and bought some songs that we could both sing. Now at home on my ps3, I can't access the songs that I bought! What happened to being able to use the items we've bought? It's like bringing Super Mario Bros. to your friend's place to play, then being told you can only access level 2 on your friend's sytem because that's where you played it....or like buying a car and being told you can only drive it the parking lot of the dealership.... So if I "deactivate the sytem" as per instructions to get the songs off his ps3 and on to my ps3, will that erase all his other saved game data? sigh. Any help is greatly appreciated.

They will activate the songs by sending activation message for each song. For activation you need to provide the mobile number and IMEI code. to get IMEI code type *#06# in your mobile.
Drawback: You will get 100 activation messgae which you have to click one by one to activate.
Once the songs are active it can be played from mobile

How can I remove these files? - Nokia 5310

So, I bought a Nokia 5310, configured it, yada yada, everything's working fine.
My memory card, oddly enough, came with an extra folder ironically titled "Extra"
This folder has 5 songs in it, all of which I am not interested in and want OFF my phone.
Anyways, long story short, it won't let me. Not on the phone, not through the PC software, not through explorer, these files are "write-protected", and I can't even move them around! Frustratingly enough, they take up space, and end up in my players library.
ALSO, I want to get rid of,the default tones and whatnot the phone came with. There's like, 40 of them! And it makes for unnecessary menu drilling.

There are alternative operating systems that run on a PC and that are far more stable, flexible and powerful than Windows. Of the dozens of such operating systems, I mostly use FreeBSD, Solaris and various variants of Linux on my machines, thus I am not "stuck" with that bloatware called Windows.

How to play Audible books in Nokia 5310 ?

I have downloaded the books from Audible.com, and transferred it to the 5310. Also, an appliaction from Audible.com is also installed in my phone, I think the application is called Audible Air.
However, when I try to run this application, the phone pop up a message:"Certificate not on phone or SIM".
Anyone know how to play the Audible books in the Nokia 5310?
Is it necessary to connecto the phone to the internet?

Does anyone know how to turn off the voice tags when connected to a bluetooth headset?
I've problem when put bluetooth in my pocket and not intend to push the button so the phone will dial to anyone that I won't to talk to.

lock the keypad on the phone and make sure automatic lock of the keypad is working, this should do the trick, pressing and holding the button on the bluetooth headset will prompt for the voice tag of course

I got a nokia lumia 520 recently. I created a nokia account but when I try to use that account for downloading any songs, Iam getting an error saying I cannot use this account for downloads. And when I try to activate the nokia music unlimited downloads, I am asked for a PIN code which I was supposed to get by an SMS when I first turned on the mobile. I did not get any such PIN. Please help me activate the nokia music unlimited downloads.

To activate Nokia Music Unlimited:
With your Nokia Music Unlimited phone, you can start downloading music to your phone right away.
Select > Nokia Music > store
Select settings > activate subscription. If asked, type in your Nokia account username and password.
You need a Nokia account to use Nokia Music Unlimited. If you have a Nokia account, sign in. If you don't have an account yet, create one.
Once you have started to use your phone, you may receive text messages from Nokia. Keep the text messages as they contain important info.
You can only have one Nokia Music Unlimited subscription associated with your Nokia account. If you sign in and activate a subscription on a different phone, you can no longer use Nokia Music on your first phone.

Nokia 5800 Preloaded songs Activation key

Experts,
I have updated my Nokia 5800 with nokia software updater but after update the software I restore factory setting then preloaded 218 songs does not work properly and ask for activation key.
Also I dont have pin for my mobile that comes with music
Please help me to find solution

I had the same problem . I approached the local Nokia Care Centre and they activated the DRM (preloaded songs) without any charge. The process takes about an hour and is done free of cost. Please do not forget to take the original receipt (bill) vide which you have purchased the phone.

How to unlock memory card nokia 5310

i just updated my nokia 5310 firmware from 5.81 to 8.32 and now my memory card has locked itself.

Nokia 5310 music player manual/automatic???

Hi, some months ago I've broke my nokia 5310 xpressmusic phone, today I've bought a new exactly like the old one but one feature I liked on my old phone was that when I went into gallery and open a music it automatly goes to music player and I could move forward/backward and skip music's in the same folder... Now, to open the music player I need to go to media open it and chose the music's I want to hear... If someone know how to activate automatly music player please answer this topic

the error you describe usually relates to the advanced track information in the IDv3 fields. i would suggest that rather than using iTunes, to edit the song information using Windows Media Player. however, first make sure the Album name in windows explorer is matching first, then import these songs into Windows Media Player. after that, right click on each song and select Advanced Tag Editor. for Track Info make sure the Album field is the same for all songs, and also that Artist and Album Artist (in Artist Info) are the same.
this should solve your problem, providing you are using a windows machine of course, not sure about mac
