Nokia 5310 - transferring music to memory card

What is the quickest/easiest way to transfer music from either the phones internal memory to the memory card, or from PC to phones memory card?
Simple step by step please as not very technically minded.

Try these steps:
- First, plug the phone to the USB.
- Go to Menu> Settings> Connectivity> USB data cable> Data transfer
- There should be a pop-up prompt that a removable device has been connected.
- Open up the removable drive, and as usual just do the drag and drop facility to put up files onto the memory card.

If you start Music player for the first time, it'll prromot you on chosing Music file on Memory card (if no Music files found on your phone memory). Later on, once you started Music player and want to choose another folder, just select option -> Play Option, then select folder from "Music Source"

i can't remove the map extra from my micro sd card can sombody help me with this ???

simplest way.
takeout the card ( micro sd)
connect it to comp with a card reader .
make a backup of ur files.
format the card . [ as FAT -- file system ]
copy back what ever u need.
keep smiling.

Asha 311 - add music from memory card

Hello,
I've encountered an issue with my Asha 311. I copied my mp3 files into phones memory card and I wanted to access and play them from phone's Music shortcut in the front page, however, it only finds music that is in the phone memory and ignores the memory card. How do I add music from memory card to that list?

Then do one thing.. make sure all the music files in your device are in the folder named music files in the memory card.. if not, simply move the files to that folder.. agian update the library and check..
still problem remains, then go for a soft reset ( it will not affect your data). for this type *#7780# in your keypad and provide security code (default 12345). check again..

Here’s my question,
I have a new HP Photosmart 7520e all in one. I put my memory card in the slot but the printer screen does not show my computer as a destination option. I'm using Windows 7. Nothing at the computer end acknowledges that the card is in the printer slot. The computer is wireless hook up. How do I transfer pictures from the card to the computer?

My computer does NOT have a card slot or I would have use it to start with. Next: This sentence doesn't make any sense to me. (youyr answer) "You can map the card to network drive but why you have to do that hard ?" I don't understand "maping net works".
All my previous (4) HP printers had card slots (as this one does) but when I put my card in the computer would read it and ask me if I was ready to import them and I picked the destination ... click on "import" and it happened. This one.. nothing happens on the computer but the printer screen gives me a choice of destinations (snapfish & usb cord) but does not offer an option of moving them to the computer. Nokia 5310 Express Music - Screensaver, Powersave ...

Hi.
My nokia 5310 Express Music (my software version is V09.42), has suddenly changed.
My screensaver, powersave and sleep mode stopped working. I have everything ON in the settings.
After some time the screen turns black, but I can still see the wallpaper.
And, if I don't use it for a while the keypad stop working too. If I turn it off and then turn on again it starts working. (I use to believe that it was a hardware problem, but the thing is, when the keypad doesn't work, the volume button,and the PLAY does not work too.
I think both of the problems are related, (the screensaver, powersave, sleep mode, keypad) because they appeared at the same time.
I've tried to update the software using the USB cable, I've tried to restore to the factory settings, I've tried taking out the battery, everything and still not working.
I don't know what to do anymore. Can any of you guys help me?

hi im usman manii i have nokia 5310 xm my phone were hang or restart when im go in gallery memory card then i connect my phone with nokia pc suite and update my phone software then its near at updating then my computer is restart the my phone software were not download soo today i'll go to nokia care i submit my phone if any software problem then 3 to 5 days otherwise rejected so what will i do if they rejected

first,please try to write using commas and dots, otherwise it is very hard for people to understand your problem.
so,its actually very simple:if nokia service center decide they won't solve your problem just go to another center.i'm sure there are plenty.anyone with medium service reparing knowledge and a proper flashing box can help you.

Nokia 5610 does not recognize memory card

I have acquired a Nokia 1GB microSD memory card for Nokia 5610 d-1.
But the memory card is not recognized.
In Nokia 6303 the same memory card is recognized.
I have formatted them with this mobile phone.
Nevertheless, the 5610 (v10.00) does not recognize it.
I have taken out the memory card also several times and have started again.
What's wrong?

First place to check is in the iPhoto library. If the images were imported there then they will be visible in the previews created.
The physical location of image files in iPhoto is quite buried in folders within folders. So, if you want to copy them then select all of the ones needed from the previews and copy from iPhoto to a new location, preferably a new folder in the Pictures folder.
The other app that might have transferred the files is Image Capture. It would download files from cards or cameras. Launch this app and look in the preferences to see the default location of transferred files.

i have hardly any space left on my Nokia 5800 memory card, and would like to know how to put some songs onto the phone memory as i have some free space there.

You can use the file manager on the phone to move items between the memory card and phone. If you have any difficulties with it check out the help section within the application.
You should make sure you leave a bit of space in the phones memory so that you have plenty of space for messages and programs.
It may be a better option to purchase a 16gb memory card instead.

Hi, bought this phone the other day and first thing i did was to transfer all my pc music onto the 8 gig memory card - fine.
However, if i want to play these tunes through the music player, do i have to transfer them to the phone memory first (which is much lower memory space). I can play each song by accessing it through Applications/File mgr/Memory Card, but want to be able to build playlists from them/ listen to them continuously (as it stops after each song has finished).
Any help, thanks!!!!!!!

No, transfer straight to the card.
You can make Playlists by opening Music Player>find song>options>add to playlist

Transferring contacts onto memory card

Hi there
I want to sync 1200 contacts from Outlook onto my Nokia 6300. But when i sync my Outlook with the phone, only 1,000 contacts are synced. Is there any way of ensuring all my Outlook contacts are saved on the 2gb memory card in the phone?

The limit seems to be 1000 contacts - doesn't matter where it's stored. I had a Sony Ericsson handset (K750i) that had a limit of 500 contacts. Heaven only knows why manufacturers impose these random limitations!

As long as you buy a reputable brand from an equally reputable store (online or physical), you should be fine. Many of the unbranded cards available on eBay, for example, are often fakes or knock-offs that barely work and are therefore to be avoided.
I tend to recommend SanDisk as that's the brand I use and with which I've had absolutely zero problems.
Make sure the card is a class 4 card at least. Some class 2 cards have created problems with phones. There is no advantage to buying a class 6 card for a 5310XM so you might as well go with the cheaper of the two (class 4 or class 6).

Nokia 7390 keeps restarting when memory card inse...

My nokia 7390 has been working fine up till a couple af days ago. The phone works fine without the memory card ( i have tried 2 different memory cards) but when i insert the memory card the phone keeps on restarting continuously. Please help!!!

LCD brightness on series 40 phone cannot be changed... 'dunno why, but it seems that it is the common set-up for series 40...
...haven't found any java programs that would do this trick neither...
