Nokia 5310 weak bluetooth

Hi guys !
I bought a nokia 5310 yesterday.I think its a really cool phone.But i came across a problem today when i started to transfer a file from my laptop to the phone via bluetooth.The transfer rate is good like 126 kbps but when iam moving the phone even 1 meter away without any obstacle in between the transfer is finishing in that instant with an error.My laptop is a macbook and its bluetooth is really powerful to put things to note.Secondly when i tried transferring and pairing with my friends nokia n95 its not even detecting it unless am sticking the phone closely.How can this be possible?

i am not sure, but did you try to play around with volume??? sorry, that's all i can think at the moment...

i have problem with a nokia 5310 xpress and a bluetooth!i can transfer anything from my phone to pc with or without pc suite! but when i want to transfer files from pc to phone i doesen"t work! with pcsuite soethings work but very slow! i want to transfer files witout pcsuite !
the blue tooth adapter it is dongle and it the software that i use is BlueSoleil 2.6.08

Nokia 5310 + internet through USB or bluetooth

I was wondering whether it is possible to browse the internet on Nokia 5310 using a bluetooth or USB connection instead of GPRS, mainly because the inverse is possible (browse internet on my PC using data connection from my phone through USB or bluetooth).
If yes, how can I do? If no, is there any hope to become possible?

Hi Guys
I am using a Nokia 5310 and was wondering if it was possible to send a sms message from my phone to my computer via Bluetooth? I can't seem to find an option to do this and don't know whether I am missing it or if it's just not possible.
Any help or advice would be great.

You can't send an SMS. However, if the phone (I don't know the 5310) has a note-taking application where you can create text notes/memos, the application might have an option to send the note/memo over Bluetooth. You might also be able to find some Java application to send text messages (still not SMS, technically) over Bluetooth, if the phone doesn't have such a feature built-in.

Its very easy to transfer contact from k750i to nokia mobile as i recently have transfered my contacts from k750i to nokia 5800XM.
1. First of all, get backup of your k750i contacts in Microsoft Outlook using SonyEricson PC suite (if you are using MS Outlook then use some other application that can store contacts on you PC).
2. After completing the above step, use Nokia Ovi Suite to synchronise stored contacts (on PC) with your nokia device.

Now i've got my new Nokia 5310 xpress music,
Does anyone know how to turn off the voice tags when connected to a bluetooth headset?
I've problem when put bluetooth in my pocket and not intend to push the button so the phone will dial to anyone that I won't to talk to.

lock the keypad on the phone and make sure automatic lock of the keypad is working, this should do the trick, pressing and holding the button on the bluetooth headset will prompt for the voice tag of course

Missing recurrence appointments in Nokia 5310

This are the first info;
What version of Windows is being used? XP home edition
What Service Pack is installed? 2
What version of PC Suite is installed? 6.85.14.1
What is the connection method, cable, bluetooth or IR? cable
When I make a appointment that shall be recurrence for example twice a week (mon & tue) for 5 weeks it won't sync the info to my Nokia 5310. It looks fine in Outlook XP but not in the phone, it's only the first appointment that is being synced to the phone, the appointment on mondays.
Do anyone know if it should work or not?

This has been discussed here many times. Outlook has more recurring patterns than the phone. Check from phone side (create a meeting with recurring pattern using the phone to see w´hat patterns the phone supports and then use those in Outlook.
For "every Mondays and Tuesdays" type of pattern you have to create 2 separate repeating meetings: every Mondays and a second one: every Tuesdays.

Nokia 5310 Drivers without PC suite.

I's there anyway to get the Bluetooth peripheral drivers for my Nokia 5310 without Nokia PC Suite?
As my Operating System is not supported, I am unable to install it.

PC Suite installed successfully on my comp with win7, however, it did not fix my peripheral driver. Hope this helps!

I have managed to Bluetooth pair my Nokia 5310 and HTC Desire but cannot see how to export my 5310 contacts to my Desire. Any help would be appreciated

This means that the Desire does not support the functionality. I would sync the 5310 with your google account (as you will need to do this with your Desire anyway). Go here: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/topic.py?topic=22181 and use the instructions for the Nokia 6300.

When I first got my nokia 5310 I was on the vodafone network
When I received an SMS message it would say
"1 message received
John"
I've moved overseas to a different network and now it always just says
"1 message received"
even though the sender of the message is a national mobile phone & is in my phonebook

i am using nokia 5310 Xpressmusic and my phone IMEI is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx that i got by using *#06# and using this IMEI i got the master code for my mobile is 4604172520 but while i try to restore factory setting this master code is not working please help me to retrieve my phone master code so that i can reset my phone.

The "master codes" are a myth, and don't work!
If you forgot your phone's security code, only a Nokia Care Point can reset the security code.

Nokia 5310 (10.10) with 8GB microSDHC crashes when...

Hi.
I'm using a 8GB SanDisk microSDHC card with my Nokia 5310 (newest firmware). Transferring files with Windows Explorer is no problem; when using the Ovi Player the phone frequently crashes after a while, mostly when there is more than 4 GB of data on the microSDHC card. Any attempt to put more files on the phone after that will lead to an almost instant crash.

8gig is not totaly compatible
yeah i agree 8gig its working but thenokia 5310xp was build for 4 gig and lower compatible only im using firmware 10.10 and my memory is micro 4gig sdhc card

Nokia 5310 - Display freeze problem

Hi,
I got a new Nokia 5310 last week and its doing great and i like it a lot, except for the following problem..
Problem description:
I find the phone display freezed and become grey and stopped responding to any keys..
this happened first time (on day two) with low battery and then started observing it frequently now (once in two days), when the phone is left with screen saver..,
at this state, when a call is made to phone, caller can hear the phone is ringing, but the phone is still dead..,
the only way to correct this is, remove the battery and reboot the phone.,
Query:
before going to nokia care centre, will this be a firmware bug (based on reported problems) or hardware bug(specific to my handset)??

sometime if i get a message at 1.30 it would say some random time like 1.50 or sometime less than 1.30
can someone plz help
