Nokia 5530 battery stripes problem

I've had some troubles before with my screen going black and then the phone turning off, but now I got a problem with the battery stripes. After I charge my phone it says 7 stripes and when I start using him, it will stay at 7 stripes until I restart him, then some stripes are disappeared and the stripes go away normally again. Yesterday it went from 7>6 stripes and when I restarted him there were only 4 stripes left. I really don't understand what could be wrong, but I can now never know well when my battery should be charged...

hi there can anybody help, my nokia 5530 was charging fine till yesterday, however last nite i plugged it back in to charge, the phone recogised the charger but didnt start charging! is this a battery fault or does phone need repairing.

Well, it could be a number of reasons, but if you download green charging from ovi store, which is a battery charge monitoring app, you could find out if its just full charged.

Nokia e72 battery draining problem

Ive been having this problem for over 3 months now. It all started one day when I normally charged my phone and when i took it off, it was extremely hot. After that, whenever i fully charge the phone, it would barely stay on for 15 minutes. I do not use it at all, when I do, the battery goes from fully charged to one bar and then battery empty. I have tried everything, changing the battery, changing the chargers, charging from both of the places (mini usb and the small pin). Any suggestions?

If your phone doesn't have the latest Firmware, update it thru' Nokia Suite . Keep the charger connected if and when you do it so that the phone doesn't switch OFF during the process because of the problem in subject. Also keep in mind that the phone will switch OFF and ON on its own during the update so don't worry and do not use or disconnect the phone till the update is over.
If problem remains, you need to get the device checked by a Nokia Care technician for any Harware issues..

Nokia X201 battery backup problem

I have a nokia x201 phone.the battery of my phone does'nt gives backup for more than 2-3hrs.
I changed the battery and installed new one but then also there was no change in backup.
Plzzz tell me what should i do to do bring my battery back up to normal.

the battery which i installed was orignal(nokia BL-5C 1024mAh) and same as previous i have upgradede the software of my phone through pc but the verison installed is latest and i have tried of rest of factory setting but it did'nt helped....

P.S-there one more thing i noticed that when i put it on charging it never shows the message 'battery full unplug charger' it keeps on charging

Nokia 5530 packet data problem with vodafone live

Wifi works fine just everytime i go on vodafone live it comes up unable to connect and then something about packet data , vodafone were no help at all in shop, carphone warehouse said update the phone no joy , CPW said everything was there ? in settings so HELP! also this affects my MMS

hi,try going into connectivity settings, open destinations, open internet and delete ALL access points. Turn off phone. Now restart, go back into connectivity settings and in internet- options-new access point, select automatically check for available access points, select packet data, name it whatever you like, and use that. Hopefully this should resolve your problem.

Nokia 5530 software update problem

Hi there..
When i begin updating my device's software(from the original server profile, and the original application) it checks for update, it understands that there is available update (i have v20.0.080 now) it downloads it and when it tries to install it, it says that its not compatible with my device ? how is this possible ?

updates vary by region and product code and if phone is network locked you have to wait until they approve the update

Problem with Nokia 5530

When I start the phone my "Contacts bar" on Home screen work, but when I enter menu and than turn back on Home screen my "Contact bar" freeze. Please help me. I reinstall phone's sofware from Nokia software updater but problem is still here. I am sorry if my english is not so good.

A problem with Nokia 5530 wirmware updating! Help!

Hi all,
I have meat the problem with Nokia 5530 firmware updating: updating allways finish with the message "Downloading of the variant package failed.Most probably there is non-commercial software in your device."
Is there any solution for that problem?

Weird problem nokia 5530 xpressmusic

I have deleted the preloaded MP3 tracks from the nokia 5530 on my computer but if I go to the musicplayer and I choose artists for instance, I can still see the artists from the preloaded tracks. If I try to delete these maps, I receive an error. It's impossible to delete them. Does anyone know how I can delete them?

Try first to refresh your library. If all musicfiles are deleted, but your library says you still have them, it sounds like the library is corrupt in some way.

If this does not fix it, you can always soft reset your device (phonememory) and format your memorycard. You should back up contacts, messages etc using ovisuite or pc suite as a soft reset wipes your phonememory, and a format of the memorycard wipes your memorycard.
I would go for the format of the memorycard first before doing the soft reset, as this should normally fix it.

Nokia 5530 RM-504 Strange Problem

Hi All,
I have Nokia 5530 RM-504 strange problem after flash latest version 31.0.005 two problems create
1) Before flashing Pakistan GMT+5 but after flash Pakistan GMT+6
2) Before flashing sending MMS work fine but after flash when I send MMS 1 time but set sending auto mms same cell no. after 30 sec.
Any idea how to solve those problems.

Hey the problem isn't with the phone i don't think.
I had the same issues with the sound quality and and pushing the button making the sound the good.
Its because there is a diference in the design of theheadset jack/phone plughole.
the wierd sound is a result of the ground and mic wires going to the wrong places. you can cut the plug then re solder the wires back together but switch the mic and ground wires around then it will work fine on something that it wasnt working properly on, but it will stop it working normaly on anything that it curently works on

Nokia 5530 a very serious update problem

i m facing a very serious problem with my nokia 5530...the problem is i can not update my phone.... my current firmware is 20.080. i have used ovi suite it gives latest available for my phone is 30.009... now when i try to update it through ovi it gives a problem with error code of 12017... i tried on PC suite but it says the update is not available for my phone... I download NSU from betalabs but it also says that update is not available for my phone.... i have tried everything possible which i could but nothing worked out and now i m here...Now if the update is available for my phone why does not it install through ovi suite...and if the update is not available for my phone then why is that so?? people are 5530 with the latest firmware of 32 while i m still using the 20....please solve this problem for me...if could not solve it i m going to say goodbye to symbian mobiles forever....thanks reply with a solution that works please....

There may have been a problem with the communication between Ovi Suite and your PC. to save trouble you can always have it updated via a Nokia Care Center.

HELP ON NOKIA 5530 xpress music

hi, i am new user, and just buyed 2-3 days back a new nokia 5530 xpress music, and i am not happy with it, the main problems are
1) earphone problems - the earphones are not good i mean i got the white color earphone still the sound in it is so bad that no bass in it, simple voice with low sound, also buyed a new earphone but same problem. i hate that
2) music player- well the music is very low as compared to samsung corby pro. this is xpress music but has not much sound where else samsung corby pro has more and better sound than us wat the hell.
3) battery problem- well the battery life as told music can be played upto 27 hrs, and talktime 4 hrs, and standby time, huh ( ALL FAKE). i yesterday rechraged my xpress music fully at around 4 pm, and i dint listen to any music, was just msging my friends and talk to someone for around 30 mins and then was just msging and msging and i stoped at around 12 am night, i saw my battery and its almost down i was shocked and suprise that battery only worked for around 8-9 hrs wat the hell grrrrrrrrrr. at 1 am the battery was at 1 point i mean i am so disappointed i felt like kicking the phone out my balcony. and ya when i recharge my battery it recharges in almost 20-25 mins that too full charge i mean i dont understand y is it happening like that

1. I use in ear earphones and the music is great
2. Music quality on the 5800 is better than the corby pro whose distortion levels are quite high. If we are talking of volume, that is another matter. volume is not equivalent to quality. I am not sure if you are just not using good enough earphones or what, but the presets on mine has a difference on the songs. I can hear the difference. I also listen to songs at volume level 3. So I really think its your earphone which has a problem.
3. These battery life quotations are maximum. Same goes for almost any brand. Music lifetime quotations are impossible to reach in real life. I could tell you how to get 27hours music on your phone but I can assure you, you wont do it.

Nokia 5530 not turning on

hello i am new to the fourms
i have a nokia 5530 xpressmusic
untill now it had been working fine but now every time i try to turn it on the screen is black and it vibrates for a moment
i have tried the call button hangup button combination and that doesnt work
als please do not send me to put in the 7330 number combination or the * 3 call button combination because it is a touch screen and it doesn't light up
sometimes it vibrates a bit longer but it just doesnt work

Did you confirm that the batteryis having sufficient charge ? Connect the charger and leave it charging for an hour. Then try switching ON without disconnecting the charger.
If problem remains, have you considered trying a new battery ?

HELP! i cant make calls on my NOKIA 5530.

i bought my 5530 xpressmusic a couple of weeks ago. and it works just fine with me. until last week, the network operator logo at the top of homescreen disappeared as well as the date and my current profile setting. the only thing left at the top is the signal bar, time, and the battery bar.
my friends call me often and i seem to have no problem with taking incoming calls, so i just left my homescreen that way. last night, when i tried to call my mom's phone an error showed up and it says "Emergency Calls Only".
i must've accidently clicked something to make it that way, but i dont know what.
please please help me. i love love love my nokia 5530.
what should i do?

try removing battery for ten mins then try a soft reset the code is *#7370# security code 12345 back up any data you wish to keep such as contacts etc
before that may i ask have you removed the sim card or did the phone get a knock have you contacted your operator?
